Shinji walked home, finally arriving back at the Katsuragi apartment after another day of Second Impact rambling and unbearable heat.

Today, however, something was different. He noticed some delivery boxes. Did Misato order something? He pondered, before stepping in. "I'm home!"

He was met with unusual silence. Misato had usually been home at this time for the past few days. Perhaps she got tied up at NERV...

He decided to head to his room, which had been completely upturned. His stuff was all gone, and replaced with girl's clothing?

"What the-" he started.

"Hey! Get out of my room!" a female voice came from behind.

"Your room!? I live here!" he said, turning around to realize he was talking to Asuka Langley Soryu, the pilot from Germany he had met on that UN fleet.

"Well, I have news for you, you've been replaced! Discarded for the better model! Here's your stuff, now get out!" she said, hoisting a box with clothing and his SDAT into his hands.

Before he could retort, Misato entered the room. "Actually, you'll be sharing the apartment! We'll all be living together!"

Asuka was the first to protest. "What!? Boys and girls aren't supposed to live under the same roof past the age of 7! Especially with him! I bet he's some pervert who'll try to grope me!"

"Asuka, he's not that kind of guy..." Misato said back. "Besides, we have plenty of angels to fight, so you better get comfy!"

The girl let out a sigh of discontent. "Whatever, just as long as he stays out of my way..."

"Good!" Misato said cheerfully as she went to retrieve a beer.

"By the way, what's with this place? Are you sure it's meant for three people? There's not even a couch!" Asuka asked.

Shinji looked sideways at her. "What? I'm pretty sure we have a couch, Asuka."

"Nope! Just some chairs and some beanbag chairs." she responded.

Misato returned from the kitchen. "Yeah, Asuka. I should know, it's my apartment."

Asuka growled a little. "Are you both stupid!? That was, like, one of the first things I noticed!" she declared, leading them to the living room. "See!?"

Shinji and Misato scanned the living room.

There was a TV, two beanbag chairs, two regular chairs.

No couch.

Misato was bewildered. "What the hell-"

This fanfic has been seized by the Katsuragi Couch Federation. We maintain that within Evangelion, Misato Katsuragi does, in face, own a couch. Questioning such a thing is illogical, and therefore discouraged.

Have a nice day!
