Kindergarten evangelion
Kyoko Zeppelin Soryu, mother of two kids, had woken up early today to make some waffles for her daughters.
And judging by the noise in the room her little marshmallows had woke up.
"Mamaaa, Shiki is pwaying with my dolls awain." Said Soryu who was angry that her little sister had stolen her doll.
"Mine..." pouted Shikinami as she hugged the doll tightly. Throughout all of this Kyoko giggle at her little daughters.
"Mama…I'm hungwy." Said Asuka to her mom while she was holding her belly with her little hands.
"I want stwabewy waffle" said Shikinami while dragging her big sister doll in the floor.
"Shiki, you are making my doll dirty!" whined Asuka while pointing her finger at Shikinami.
While this whole thing was happening the bedroom door swung open. Out walked Dr. Soryu, fixing his T-shirt while keeping his eyes on his two little daughters.
"Good morning honey, good morning girls!" he said
"PAPA!" said both girls as they rushed to his side, jumping up and down and reaching up to him. He just smiled and pick up both of daughters, kissing their cheeks.
"Papa, can we pway piwate?" said Shiki while she was holding on her dad's T-shirt.
"Papa! Shiki has my doll and she isn't giwing it back." Said Asuka while pointing at Shikinami, who answered by sticking out her tounge.
"Good Morning honey." Said Kyoko, smiling from her chair, coffee in hand. The doctor bent down to kiss his wife. The two girls made a face, because to them, grown-ups kissing was icky.
Dr. Soryu set both of his daughters in the chair and went to help his wife with the plates. As they were eating their breakfast, Asuka looked at her father and with a big smile and asked "Papa, is bawa Shinwi back?"
He turned his head to look at her. He smiled. "Yes sweetie, Shinji and his parents are back from their family trip."
Hearing the news, Asuka started giggling like crazy about her best friend being back. Watching such a reaction, Shikinami held a puzzled look.
"Who is bawa Shinwi?" asked Shikinami.
Asuka turned to her little sister. With pride she told her about her childhood best friend Shinji, and all the games they played together.
Shikinami, for her part, was excited to meet this boy Shinji. She thought of one last question. "Will he pway piwate?" she asked with a tiny voice. The young girl was not very social, and tended to cling to her older sister. Maybe if this Shinji would play pirate, she'd have another friend.
"Alright girls, get ready! We are off to Kindergarten!" Said Kyoko as she took the plates. Dr. Soryu grabed shoes and backpacks, and started getting ready to send the girls to school.
"Okay mama," Said the as they rushed to get ready. They ran and skipped to their mother's car.

Finally arriving to the kindergarten, Asuka couldn't contaon her excitement about seeing Shinji again after two weeks of being away. Meanwhile, Shikinami was watching her pirate cartoon on the little screen Papa gave her and saying 'arrr' along with the characters.
"All right girls, here we are," Said Kyoko as she got out of the car to open the doors for her little daughters.
"Shinwi, Shinwi, Shinwi" said Asuka as she moved her little arms up and down with excitement. Shikinami remained confused over such a reaction.
Finally, they entered Kindergarten hand in hand with Mama. They caught sight of their favorite teacher.
"MAWIII!" screamed both girls as they rushed to greet the lady.
"Hey Mari, how have you been? Oh, where is Greg?" Said Kyoko. She looked around while her daughters were hugging Mari with as much force as their little arm could.
Mari sighed. "He is with that guy. I think he was called Hidranick? Yeah, Hidranick. They are working on this new fanfic. I didn't have the heart to tell him he should come to us," answered Mari as she nuzzled Shikinami and Soryu, giving a kiss to their cheeks. Putting the girls down, she took them to the room where a crying Shinji was curled up on the floor. Soryu approached him, putting both her tiny hands on her waist. "Bawa Shini, why cwy?"
Shinji raised his head to look at Soryu, slowly getting up and approaching her.
"Soso? Is that you?"
"Who else but me bawa." She replied with a smile in her face. The smile was short lived, as Shinji threw himself at her hugging, her tightly.
"SOSO! I missed you so much, it was lonely on the beach with mama and papa.
While this was going on, Shikinami approached them. "No hug big sis, I hug sis." She said, frowning at Shinji. He looked up still teary-eyed, then looked at Soryu, asking her who the little lookalike is.
"Bawa, she is ma little sis," replied Soryu. Shinji's squaked out the tiniest 'oh,' and shook the new girl's hand.
"Hello, my name's Shinji," he said, putting on a smile.
"Hello Bawa Shinji, I'm Asuka!" She said with a small smile, but the name confused the poor boy. He turned his head to Soryu, hoping she would help with this.
"Her name is Asuka Shikinami. Mama says she's my step-sister," furthering the point by giving her a hug. Shikinami reaction was a small "ughh" but she eventually hugged her sister back and hid her face from Shinji.
"Wha's a 'step-sister'?" Shinji asked, confused at the word.
Soryu looked at Shikinami, and then back to Shinji. She shrugged. "I dunno, mama didn't tell me. Only that she's is my step-sister." Shinji nodded and asked the two sisters if they wanted to play with the blocks aunt Mari had bought for today.
Soon enough all other kids came. Toji, Hikari, Kensuke, and their new friend Kaworu, who Shinji had already warmed up to.
"Ikawi, play piano?" Kaworu asked to which Shinji replied with a happy nod. He asked Soryu if she would like to join them. Shikinami approached Hikari and asked if she wanted to play pirates.
"Wha's a piwate?" Hikari asked.
Toji came thundering from behind. "Yeah, pirates! It's those bandits who like to steal, they have those cool eyepatches!" he said. Shikinami nodded happily, filled with joy at a fellow pirate enthusiast.
A look of concern washed over Hikari's face "That sounds bad…" Toji assured her they weren't as bad as they sound, and that they were really cool. One explanation later, Toji and Hikari joined Shikinami for a long game of pirates. Kyoko watched them play from the doorway and it melted her heart how much Shikinami was enjoying her playtime with the new friends…it made her feel bad about-
A voice from behind pulled her away. "Stalking much, mama bear?" said Yui, followed by a small "dah" from little Rei. Kyoko only chuckled at her friend and gave a 'boop' to Reis nose.
"I just wanted to check on Shikinami, she has always been socially awkward and would refuse to play with others unless it was her own sister." She sighed and smiled at little Rei trying to put her mother's hair to her mouth.
"Sweetie, let go of mommy's hair. Yeah, I understand. Shinji was like that too till your own daughter started taking his attention on anything." The two of them laughed at the memories of Asuka dragging Shinji with her and, in a cute way, telling him to be friends forever.
"Care to join for a coff- "She was interrupted by a small tug on her dress, looking down it was her own son, she smiled at him. "What is it Shinji?" she asked.
"Can Rei play too?" he asked her with pleading eyes.
"Sweetheart, you know Rei is too young to play with you and your friends." She turned her head to left and gave a small peck to Reis head.
"It's okay, she can play with Soso's dolls!" He told her with a big smile on his face. Yui still felt apprehensive, but a hand on her shoulder stopped her, she looked at the owner of the arm. Kyoko had a small smile on her face and told her that it would be alright, reminding her how fond Soryu was of Rei. Yui sighed. She put Rei down, patting her on the back.
"Fine, she can play with you, but please be very careful with her," Yui said with a hint of sternness. It was futile, as Shinji immediately hugged his little sister. Rei smiled in her brother's arm.
"Okay, I promise!" he said. "Right Rei?"
"Dah!" Rei said and waved her arms around which elicited a small laugh from the mothers. Shinji, now holding tightly onto Rei, went inside again to play with his friends, He introduced everyone to his sister, earning a greeting from all of them. Soryu grabbed little Rei for a moment and asked, "Hello Wondergirl, can I have a kiss?" Rei kept looking around at the many new faces, but when asked for a kiss, Rei just booped her head to Soryu's cheek, which earned her a hug from her favorite redhead.
"Alright kids! Gather around, it's story time!" Came the voice from Misato. All the kids joined to listen to the tale of Sleeping Beauty and her knight in shining armor. Throughout the story, Mari would glance at the two Asukas and wink at them whenever the word "princess" came. Later, Mari came announced to the children that they were going outside to play at the playground. Soryu grabbed her sister's and Shinji's hands and told them they would make sandcastles. As the kids rushed to play outside, Misato picked up little Rei and gave her to Mari, who was more than happy to hold her.

Two women took a load off their feet at a nearby café.
"So, what's the deal with Shikinami?" said Yui to Kyoko. "You never mentioned to me you had another daughter and the whole 'step-sister' thing doesn't sit right. I've known you long enough that you would never cheat on your husband."
"You know me too well, Yui." Kyoko took a sip on her coffee and looked at the café window, where she could see her daughters play with everyone. "And you're right. I never cheated on my husband. Shikinami isn't truly a…'step' sister of Asuka, I created her in the lab."
She heard Yui gasp and, not so gently, put her cup down. "Kyoko! You know how illegal that is! What if Keel finds out? They would kill you-"
"They know." She cut her off, "I asked them for permission to create her." No words were said for a while. Both looked outside and shared the occasional glance. Kyoko waited for the question.
"Why?" was all Yui could ask.
"So Asuka wouldn't have to pilot Unit 02 when the time comes." She took another sip from her coffee, "The Shikinami series-"
"Series!?" came the shocked voice of Yui, which was met with a glare from.
"Yes, series. She was the only successful one compared to her other iterations. She was created for one thing only, to pilot the Eva." Yui said nothing to this, only glowering at her, then a loud slap filled the café. Everyone looked at the two women, but soon retured to their business.
"How can you do that? How heartless can you be?" Yui hissed. Kyoko's words were interrupted by a loud noise from outside. Turning their heads, they saw Mari flying towards the table where Misato had been. They saw this weird person grabbing Shinji and kicking both Asukas away without care. Both women got up and rushed to the kindergarten but stopped when they saw a random man with a brown scarf punching the person who were holding Shinji, soon enough they saw the man producing what they could believe be a-
"AT-Field? Could that be an angel?" Kyoko said in shocked and looked at her friend, they saw the man leaving a hole to the enemy and then said enemy leaving through a portal. They started running again and saw the man checking on Mari.
"Is she going to be alright?" Yui asked the man.
"She will be fine, I already fixed the broken bones. She won't wake up for at least 8 minutes." Getting back on his feet he opened the portal. Before taking another step, Yui grabbed his arm asking "Before you go…thank you, for saving my son. Can I know your name?"
"…My apologies, but my name has to remain a secret." Without another word he entered the portal, leaving behind a confused Yui. She heard fast footsteps behind her as Kyoko finally caught up.
"Y-Yui, what happened? Are the kids alright?" Kyoko said as she breathed hard from running.
"MOMMY!" the voice of Shinji and Asuka's came as they rushed to their mother's crying. Yui and Kyoko picked them up, assuring them that everything was okay and giving their children a peck on the cheeks.
"That guy…something was off about him."
With a frown Kyoko looked at her friend and asked "What was it?"
Moving so her friend could see her face she replied to Kyoko's question "…he was using a AT-Field…"
"Yeah I noticed." Came the reply from Mari who hissed in pain at the contact of ice to her jaw. "Do you think he was an angel?"
"Doubt it, in the Sea Scrolls they weren't really said to the size of a human." Said Kyoko, who handed a cup of tea to Mari. A noise was heard as Yui opened her phone. She huffed at the message. "The date of the synch testing came." She said in a sad tone.
"What day?" Asked Mari.
"Shinji's birthday." She replied. "Mari, will you do me a favor?"
Both Mari and Kyoko looked at each other with concern, but focused again on Yui. "Of course, anything."
"If something happens to me… Take care of my kids, please." She pleaded.
"I will."
10 year's later.
"The bastards just won't go down!" Shikinami shouted as she cut another Mass production Eva. "Help me out you idiot!"
"I can't!" Shinji said as he dodged another swipe from Mark 6 "Kaworu isn't leaving any opening!" He opened the shoulder pylon and threw the prog knife at Mark 6, which used the spear of Cassius as protection. With the opening now there, Shinji kicked him hard on the stomach, giving himself an opening to help Shikinami. "Asuka-"
"Which one!" came the instant voice.
"Soryu, where the hell are you!"
"Unit 02β isn't budging!" she said in desperation. "I can't join the fight."
Just as she finished her words, the sky started to crack, and then turn orange with one white shining ball in the middle of it. The light spoke and it was heard everywhere.
"You, all of you, meet your new God!"

Author note: Hey all, as you can all see, I am alive and well! Very very sorry for the long silence on my stories, school been taking away my time of writing. Huge thanks to SheriffJohnStone (you know him as the author of Yui's words) and all the members of the asushin discord server and of course all of you who have followed my stories.
I am working on "In Doubt of Where to go" chapter 4 even today but that chapter has been on constant rewriting, maybe on December the chapter will finally come out who knows, Human after all is also very much alive I haven't forgotten about it but it won't get updates till In doubt is over.
