The three of us began our way to the main entrance of the warren, where Hazel was being informed by Clover that the Efrafans are closing in fast in each of the entrances. Bigwig continues to fend off the Efrafans entering the main entrance. The three stopped to turn towards the three of us. Clover notices that I'm near to grief.

"Thomas... what is it?" she asked.

"It's Holly." I answered. The three became shocked, as if he's stopped running. "Right now, he's in intensive care. He and I tried to free Hyzenthlay and Katie from recapture. They're free, but Holly is severely injured.

Hazel nodded his head. "What about The Big Root?"

"The entrance is closed, sir. However, like Clover says, they maybe still be able to break in." I feared. "However, Shang Tsung is dead."

"You killed him?" Liu Kang questioned.

"We fought and he bit me. Cobra versus Wolf." I explained it was an animality fight.

"At least he'll be glad that I didn't kill him." Bigwig cursed. "However, you did the right thing."

"Thank you, Big-"

A powerful force that pushed Bigwig to a dirt wall and knocked him out from a powerful scream.

"BIGWIG!" Hazel rushed over to him and got him back on his feet.

The screaming continued that it's from Sindel. "You three leave, we'll deal with her."

Hazel and Clover nodded, as they help Bigwig get back to The Honeycomb. Liu Kang and Kung Lao, and myself guarded the path, as Sindel continues to scream and making an entrance. "If you three dare to defy my entrance to dispose these rabbits, I'll have to kill you myself."

"Honey... you got a bad hair day." I mocked her, before she chocked me with her long hair and tossed me around, until I landed on the ground. Liu Kang and Kung Lao fought Sindel. The three fought very intense, until she gained the upper hand and blasted them to the wall with her scream. She begins to proceed for the Honeycomb. After I got up and morphed into a wolf, I charged at her and started thrashing on her back. She became injured from the marks and bites, however it didn't stop her to unbound from being restrained. I was morphed back into a human. The venom came back that I began to cringe and felt shivers.

"You should know better that a cobra's bite is poisonous." Sindel taunted.

"Of course." I replied and spitted at her. Apparently, it got into her hair. She than stomped her foot on my throat and began to choke me.

"How dare you spit on my hair!"

She squeezes very tightly on my throat that I was beginning to lose of taking any breath. A steel fan flew and slashed Sindel's face that cause her to scream. Kitana came and kicked her own mother to the ground.

"Kitana!" I was amazed.

She walked towards her mother and cut her hair. "Is that the way you would treat your mother?!"

"My mother is being influenced by Shao Kahn. This is not you!" Kitana answered.

"I knew you're just like your father. Weak and a fo-" Another slash was given to silence Sindel's insults. "Now what... you're going to murder your own mother?"

I turned to see Hyzenthlay and the does from Efrafa came forward. "I won't..." Kitana answered. "... however I won't have to save you." She dragged her own mother to the does. Sindel looked up to notice Hyzenthlay.

"It's you! I knew you from Efrafa!"

Enraged, Hyzenthlay struck her in the face, before she and her sisters began to ravage Sindel. The struggle lasted for a few short minutes, before Hyzenthlay silenced her forever. "That is for my sisters! My family! And Holly!"

Kitana came over to me and offered me a hand up. I accepted, as she got me back on my feet. "Thank you for saving me." I than realized. "And I'm sorry... I'm truly sorry about your-"

"She's not my mother." Kitana refused. "She was murdered, but brought back to life by Shao Kahn to serve him."

"Thomas." Hyzenthlay than called for me. "Hazel needed you to return to The Honeycomb... it's Holly."

I needed to see Holly's progress on his injuries. Kitana retrieved the fan she tossed and caused the main entrance to collapse. Luckily, it will prevent the enemies entering that way. The rest of us continued to head to The Honeycomb chamber, as we began to close off the tunnels. When we got back, the does guarding the entrance, closed it off. I tumbled upon Kitana, as she caught me from the fall. She than noticed my bite mark.

"You have to get help, the venom will kill." she feared.

"I'm fine. Holly's life is on the line." I assured her, before I came over to Katie and Captain Holly. "Is he doing okay?"

Katie shook her head.

"Thomas... The Black Rabbit is near. You must leave my body outside of the warren."

"No! You'll recover! And I won't leave you alone to die!"

"I'm afraid he's life is fading." Nightwolf approached. "There's nothing else we could do for his wounds. He even insisted that others are to be taken first of."

Captain Holly smiled. "They needed more help than I." Hazel and Bigwig came to us. "Hazel-rah... forgive me, despite of how I tried."

"You have done enough, Captain Holly." Hazel commended his captain.

"Please... if you insist that I'm taken outside of the warren. So The Black Rabbit won't take everyone."

I turned towards Hazel. "You really don't mean it?"

"If a deceased rabbit is found upon here, everyone might be cursed by The Black Rabbit." Blackberry stated. "Even yourself."

It's not possible. I would not want to leave my fellow captain, who is beyond a friend, brother, but a father to me. "Please, can I be with him... until he passes on?" Hazel nodded his head for approval. He, Bigwig, Blackberry, Hyzenthlay, Katie, myself, along with Liu Kang and Kung Lao, and Hanzo helped to get an outing in the tunnels to find a entrance we made to get out. When we exited out of the warren, no enemy sighting from our side. Hazel was able to see the enemies have fallen back and temporarily mobilize their position, before digging up the warren again.

"We must hurry. They'll be back soon." Liu Kang noticed the enemies as well. In few more steps, we found ourselves over at the brook. Holly collapsed near towards the water.

"Holly!" Hyzenthlay aided him to keep him away from falling in.

"Thank you... Hyzenthlay. I... love." he smiled at her.

She smiled in tears, before she nuzzled him. "I love you too."

Captain Holly than closed and spoke softly in Lapine. Was it a prayer? A farewell? Or a absolution? I would probably never know. Perhaps it was a prayer to Frith that he's ready for The Black Rabbit to claim his soul.

"Thomas..."

"I'm here." I went over to him and held him.

"If you're willing to... please sing me the song that you sang months ago."

I nodded my head, as I gently stroke his fur.

Captain Holly shared a smile with me, as he gazed the nightly starry sky. His eyes began to close, as he drawn his last breath. I than felt his strength give way and he stopped breathing. A tear fell from my eyes, as I started to feel the venom weakening me. Perhaps Holly and I may join together in death. Everyone else is in shock and grief, especially Hyzenthlay, whom she just lost her mate.

"I can't believe he's gone, Hazel." Blackberry said, before the three closed their eyes.

"My hearts have joined the thousand..."

"... for my friend stopped running today." Hyzenthlay finishes.

My breathing became difficult, as I fell to my side and clanged onto Holly's lifeless body.

"Thomas!" Katie noticed my fall. "Thomas!" I didn't want to fight the venom. I was ready to join Holly, so he wouldn't be alone. "Thomas, don't leave me! You can't-"

I couldn't catch her last words, before I closed my eyes fell into a deep sleep. With the venom stopping my heart...
