First meeting
It is a fine afternoon in Konoha. The sun is starting to set, some children say goodbyes to their friends as they don't want to get their parents mad at them.
A white haired man is sitting on a tree branch, sighting the setting sun from the distance. His white hair slightly turned yellow as it's bathing under the afternoon sun. He just got back from his 2 years of travelling around the nation.
He sighed in contentment and leaned on the tree. In the distance, he could see the birds flying. Though, they were a bit blurry and black. A gush of wind blew pass him, making him sigh once more. It's good to be back in Konoha, but there were still many regrets and pains that's lingering around him. He didn't want to come home as many hurtful and dramatic moments kept flashing to his eyes.
"Did you heared that she left Konoha for good?"
Those lines still stings badly. There's not a day that he didn't wonder why did she left without saying anything to him. Was he not enough? Did he do something wrong? So many questions rang in his mind and those questions are still not answered. He felt lonely and empty without her presence, without her. She's the only one that's keeping him alive.
"I hope you're doing good today, Hime." He whispered as a warm swoosh of the wind blew pass him again, making his spiky hair flew along with it.
That day, his emotions were mixed up. He was angry at her, disapointed, sad, hurt that he almost jumped off the cliff he was in. He didn't know what he would do if their paths would cross again. Would he hug her? Or would he feel angry?
In the park. It was quiet in there, to the fact that there's not much people or children. There were only a few.
"Good afternoon! Would you like to purchase a red rose for your lady, Sir?" A white haired little girl asked to a man as a she held a rose to him.
The man looked at her and then smiled. The little girl has such a timing as it was his and his lover's anniversary today. He reached for his pocket and took his wallet out. "How much is for a one rose?"
"Uhm 15 yen, Sir."
The man nodded and took out an exact 15 yen. "Here you are."
The little girl smiled and grabbed the money. She gave the rose to the man and gave him a bow. "Thank you, Sir!"
"You're very welcome. You should go home now, it's not safe for a little one like you wondering around the village."
"I will." She waved at the man and looked at the money she got on her small purse.
"I wonder how many money did i made today." She whispered to herself. She noticed a bench nearby and didn't hesitate to walk to it. She sat down and placed the roses down on the bench as she opened her purse to count her money.
There were a lot of coins than the papers. She sighed in frustration when she lost her count.
"Is this enough to buy dinner?" She muttered. She gently gathered all the money and placed it all back in her small purse. "There."
She closed her purse and looked at the roses she's selling. There's still a few roses. She sighed and grabbed it, deciding to keep selling around the village. As she walks through the park she noticed a paper on the ground. She went closer to it and it identified itself a money. Her eyes lit up and looked to left and right. Once she saw that there's no one around she grabbed it. Until a strong wind blew pass her, the money on her hand flew off her small hand.
"W-wait!" She stated as she run after it.
She run and run after it until it stopped infront of a tree. She sighed in relief and quickly snatched the money from the ground.
She was about to leave when her amber eyes slowly gazed up the tree as she noticed a man sitting on it.
"Hi!" She waved her chubby arms at the man. Just by looking at her and her behaviour, there's no doubt that she's a bubbly kid.
The man jumped a little on his spot. The little girl had startled him from his thoughts. He looked down and saw her. She has a straight white hair that's tied into a pigtails. She's wearing a white sundress and a sandal. Her eyes though, it really caught his attention. It's similar to her. But what caught his full attention is her. She looks just like her.
"Uhm hi?" He waved his hand awkwardly.
"What are you doing up there?" She asked with her hands on the side of her tiny mouth as to make her voice louder.
"Nothing."
She cutely giggled and looked at the tree bark infront of her. She looked up again at him. "Can i sit with you up there?"
"Uhm sure."
She smiled at him and grabbed onto a tree bark. She placed her little foot against the tree and tried to climb up. This is her first time climbing a tree, so she didn't know what exactly to do.
The man watched her try to climb up. The edges of his lips were twitching to form a smile as he find it cute to watch little girl climb a tree. He didn't know why or how but he somehow felt comfortable and light when she arrived. It's like there's spark between them, not in a romantic way that's gross.
The little girl jumped up...and up...and up but it's no use. She couldn't climb the tree. "A little help?"
He chuckled at her and went down. "Come here."
The girl went to him and yelp when he pulled her closer to him. He wrapped his arms around her and leaped up at the tree. He gently placed her down and couldn't help but laugh when he saw the look on her small face.
"H-how did you do that?" She asked.
He sat down on the tree branch and smiled at her. "Secret."
"Dang it." She pouted and crossed her little arms over her chest as she sat down.
"So why is a little girl like you wondering around the village?"
She smiled and held out her roses towards him. "I'm selling these."
"Oh.." He said. "Isn't your parents supposed to do that?"
"I have no parents."
He was shocked at this. No parents? "What about a relative?"
She shook her head at him. "None."
He shot up. "Who the hell is taking care of you?!"
"The orphanage but they weren't really doing anything."
Of course, they're not gonna do anything. After all he himself is an orphan. "Who's taking care of you?"
"Myself."
"H-how?!" He asked.
The little girl couldn't help but roll her amber eyes at him. "I sell roses."
He smacked his palm on his face in stupidity. "Oh right. But how much do you earn by selling these?"
"Sometimes 100 and sometimes lower than that."
He felt sad for the little girl. She shouldn't be here wondering around, selling roses just to earn money. "Exactly how old are you?"
She looked at her fingers and count. She smiled and held out four fingers. "Four years old."
He arched his brows up. Seriously, he felt angry to the little girl's parents. How could they leave their child like this? "What's your name?"
She gave him a smile again and held her chubby hand towards him. "Olivia."
