"My name is Olivia! What's yours?"
He smiled at her and shaked her chubby hands with his. "The name's Jiraiya." He watched her eyes lit up.
She gasp in shock until her mouth formed into a giant smile. "Ooohh i recall hearing your name from other people. Are you some kind of a famous person?"
"Why yes, i am." He confirmed. "Olivia, do you know what is a ninja?"
"Yes, but i don't know much. All i know is that they protect their respective villages. That's what Oji-sama told me."
His eyes shot wide. "You have a grandfather?! But you said that you have no family left?!"
She let out a giggle at the misunderstanding. "He's not really my grandfather, but i treat him one as he treat me his granddaughter also."
"If he treats you like a granddaughter then why didn't he took you out of the orphanage?"
"He said that as much as he wants but he can't because the uhm..what are they again?" She spend a minute to rethink. "Oh! Right, right. The elders, they wouldn't agree to him."
Elders? Wouldn't agree to 'him'? It sounds fishy. Jiraiya shook his thoughts. "What's the name of this Oji-sama you call?"
"Secret. He told me not to tell anyone."
He leaned a little closer to her. "Let me guess...is this man's name is Hiruzen Sarutobi?"
Olivia gasped in shock, she clasp her tiny hands on her mouth and looked at him with her widened amber eyes. "How do you know?"
I knew it. "It isn't really that hard to figure out, Kid."
"Oh, so you know him?" She asked.
"Of course, he's the Hokage after all. Everyone knows him." He stated.
She looked at him dumbfoundedly. "What's a Hokage?"
He facepalmed at how Olivia doesn't know much about the ninja world. Poor little girl, yet it's good for her to not know much as the ninja world is a cruel world.
The sun has completely disappeared in the horizon. It was dark. Olivia grabbed her left over roses and looked at Jiraiya.
"It's nice to meet you, Jiraiya-sama. I need to get going!" She smiled at him and went down. She glanced back up at him and him a wave. "Until we meet again!"
He smiled and waved his hand at her as he watch her completely disappear. The thought of Olivia calling Hiruzen 'Oji-sama' is really fishy. He knew his sensei is not very much fond with kids. I think i should talk this out with him.
In the busy street of the market place. Olivia run through the crowded way, apologizing to some people as she kept bumping onto them. She can't help it, after a long day of selling roses, she's starving. She stopped once she's in the middle of her favorite part of the market place.
She looked around with her gleaming amber eyes. Her stomach grumbled when her eyes landed on the Takoyaki stand. The smell of the food tickled through her tiny nose, she sighed in happiness and went to the woman who's fanning over the still cooking Takoyakis.
"Hi!" She greeted.
The woman looked around and didn't saw anyone. "Must be my mind then."
Olivia giggled and raised her chubby hand up. "I'm down here!"
The woman looked down and sighed when she saw her. She gave her an apologetic look and smiled at the little girl. "Oh my gosh, i'm very sorry. I didn't see you because you're small."
"That's okay, i'm still growing up anyways." Olivia proudly stated.
The woman giggled and showed her the little menu they have on the stand. "What would you like?"
Olivia smiled and grabbed the small menu and roamed her amber eyes all over it. There's so many delicious flavor she want to try but she didn't think her money could handle it. "How much is for a one Takoyaki, Miss?"
"Oh it's just 17 yen."
"Hold on a minute please." She opened her small purse and looked at her money. She spend a second to count it all up. I just have 50 yen today. "Uhm i would like a chocolate Takoyaki please."
The woman hummed. "How many would you like to buy?"
She held a finger to her. "Just one."
The woman smiled at her and began preparing her choice. She couldn't help but kept looking at the little girl. She's adorable, but it's weird...she looks like Senju Tsunade when she'd a kid.
After a minute or so, the Takoyaki is done. The woman wrapped it in a plastic and gave it to Olivia. "Here you are."
Olivia's eyes gleamed in amazement and in happiness as she looked at the Takoyaki. "Thank you!"
The woman smiled and waved at her as she run away.
Hiruzen Sarutobi, also know as Third Hokage, sat on his chair in his office as he kept examining each of the reports had his trusty ninja's gave.
He blew on his smoking pipe as he felt a knot of stress is beginning to form on his neck. "What does the Raikage want now."
*Knock knock knock*
A knock on the door startled him. He fixed his posture and cleared his throat. "Come in."
The door swinged open and he sighed as it is only his student.
"Hey, Old Man." Jiraiya greeted.
Hiruzen smirked. "Jiraiya, you came to visit your old sensei?"
Jiraiya chuckled. "Well yes, just want to see if you're still alive."
Hiruzen laughed and quickly turned serious. He know that that's not the reason of his sudden visit. "What do you want?"
"Well, i just want to ask you.." Jiraiya sat on the nearby couch. "if you have any relatives here that i don't know?"
The Hokage blinked for a moment. "No, why do you ask?"
"I just met this little kid at the park earlier. I asked her a bunch of questions about her. Then i suddenly got shocked when she just called you 'Oji-sama' after she just said that she's an orphan."
Hiruzen almost cough on his smoke. He couldn't tell him yet. She'll be angry if he would. He swallowed down and cleared his throat. "Oh Olivia you say? She's just a great kid at the orphanage and i always buy flowers from her."
Jiraiya raised his brow up. "Do you know her parents?"
"N-no. Some ANBU just found her on the gate four years ago and they brought her to me. So she ended up growing in the orphanage." He could feel himself sweat.
"Oh, another thing is. If you guys found her on the gate then who gave her the name 'Olivia'?"
The Hokage is secretly tensing up. He inhaled on his pipe. "We found a small paper in the blanket that was wrapped around her. It says that her name is Olivia." He looked at his student with an arched brow. "Why are you even suddenly got interested in her?"
Jiraiya didn't answer his Sensei for a while, he just looked at the coffee table infront of him. Curiosity just hit him. Many questions rang in his head: Who's her parents? Why did they left her? Where are they now? Then the little girl's image flashed in his mind. He didn't know why did he felt a sudden connection to her, they're not even related. But he has this weird affection towards this girl, it's like she's his daughter or something. Plus he couldn't help but compare Olivia's look with 'her'. They so much look a like, except for the nose and hair. He shook his thoughts off and just thought that it's just a coincidence. "I want to adopt her."
