Hey, guys. This is another edition of Mancub's Den. I'll talk about my projects involving Roger Rabbit and the DC Comics fandom. I haven't uploaded the 8th short of RR: Wacky Toons last week due to an early release of Monkey Ball: Banana Mania for my Xbox. I gotta say that it's one of the best Monkey Ball games I've played and It's better than Banana Blitz. But more on that later in this newsletter.

=====Plans on DC Comics Fanfics=====

I've lumped Justice League and DC Superhero Girls under the DC Comics category due to treating it as a one-stop shop for DC fanfics. I did upload a recent chapter of Captain Hurricane and the Superhero Girls last week. I'm still thinking of possible episodes for that series and that's the same for my Justice League story being Flash and Giganta Show which I haven't visited in a while.

I've been thinking about a Supervillain Girls story for quite some time in the DC Superhero Girls category or in the Justice League. It's somewhat like the Captain Hurricane series where the OC goes on misadventures with superpowered women but going on the wrong side of the law. I may or may not make this kind of story but what do you guys think? Sound off In the reviews or message me about this. I'm willing to hear what your opinions are.

The other idea is a one-shot fluffs in any DC Fandom involving the OC and a heroine or villainess. That wouldn't be such a bad idea. Maybe the DC ladies would be Giganta, Wonder Woman, Bumblebee, Big Barda or Power Girl. It's also a possibility after getting inspiration from reading COrnholio4's fanfics involving Spiderman with some of his fellow Avengers and Justice League ladies. Heck, maybe I'll include some of my favorite Marvel girls in there but the list is not as large as the DC girls due to familiarity. But She-Hulk, Storm, Captain Marvel, Shuri, Okoye and Titannia are good candidates. Feel free to give me some pointers on these type Of fics. I'm quite okay when it comes to romance elements but they can still improve.

=========Roger Rabbit plans======

I'm almost finished with the 8th short of Roger Rabbit's Wacky Toons in which it will be done some time tonight. That Monkey Ball craze got to me last week, so bear with me on that. As for the new Vegas story, I'm still thinking on how Roger and Jessica would spend their first night there after arriving. But it may involve their trip to the casino and the pool area. However, the antagonist is going to be a toon, a female toon to be exact that wants to have Roger to herself and piss off Jessica. The character in question is from Cool World being Holly Wood who's kind of like Jessica Rabbit but an evil version of her.

After I do the 8th short of Wacky Toons, Jessica Rabbit will have her own short in which I would have a Lot of fun doing with her. Maybe I'll have Lena Hyena as a sidekick to Jessica in certain scenarios. But all will be in due time.

This may or may not happen but what if a fanfic involves Roger Rabbit interacting with Groot and Rocket Raccoon from Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy with the rabbit getting into mischief with Rocket and Groot trying to get Roger under control before Star Lord, Drax and Gamorra get back? Or even Roger meets the Avengers with Iron Man and Hawkeye flabbergasted at Roger married to Jessica. Now that would be awesome. Another possibility is a spoof of Roger becoming Spiderhare rescuing Jessica from Droopy acting like Doctor Doom or Doctor Droop In this case. But maybe they'll pop up at some Point. But that's all for the Roger Rabbit plans for now. But before I go, I'll address two things that went down last week and today.

====My Experience With The New Monkey Ball======

Today is the release to the general public of Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania but others like myself opted for the Digital Deluxe version in which you have the ability to play the game four days early from release. Banana Mania is a remake of the first two games or rather a remake of Super Monkey Ball DX in which it combines the two games being Super Monkey Ball 1 and 2 plus the original stages being the DX levels. That's Banana Mania here but with quality of life such as characters, modes, customization and other goodies.

When I played Banana Mania, I recaptured part of my childhood when I played Super Monkey Ball 2 on my GameCube which I still have to this day. For those who haven't played any of the games in the series, the gist is that you roll the monkey in a ball by tilting the level guiding them through pathways and hazards to the goal collecting bananas without falling off the stage or time running out. It's challenging and fun because you're using physics and momentum to get to the goal quickly as possible.
Now playing Monkey Ball on Xbox is fun but tricky with the modern controllers. What I mean is that the analog stick designed differently is kind Of difficult to straighten the monkey on narrow pathways and I can easily fall Off the track. The GameCube controllers had pointed notches on their analog sticks which is very helpful when negotiating through narrow paths. Those who played Monkey Ball In the past can vouch for me On this detail. Other than that, the main game is pretty good but if I wish to take a break from that mode, I can try out 12 Party Games from the first two Monkey Ball games. I spent time on Monkey Soccer, Baseball, Fight, Billiards, Race and Golf. All of which are my top favorite mini-games to jam Out to since my GameCube days. Monkey Target is a different change from the original where the physics of Banana Mania is died down some but not in Banana Blitz kind of way. Thank goodness. I hated Banana Blitz with a passion by the way. Target is where you get the monkey to the floating targets to land on Pilotwings style. It's a fan favorite for Monkey Ball gamers but the momentum is quite awkward in BM where the ball jolts up in the air for a few seconds before you can open the wings up. In the first two games, you can pop open the wings right away after launching. Also, flying in the air is a bit of a difference in where you can get away with swooping down to get the scope on the targets ahead but in BM, you can go too fast and go in the water easily. It's annoying but maybe today in a Day 1 patch that the issues can be fixed.

The best part of Banana Mania is the characters in which there are guest Sega Characters being Sonic and Tails, Kazuma Kiryu from Yakuza and Beat from Jet Set Radio which can be unlocked by buying them in the shop with Banana Coins from Main Game or Party Game modes. I tried Out the Yakuza character since that game series is also my favorite Sega franchise. After all, the team that created Monkey Ball 20 years ago also made Yakuza. Customizing your characters and balls are new and unique to the game but I haven't spent too much on that though.

Overall, I had a blast playing BM as It was close to the first two games on the GameCube. Heck, I Have yet to play the extra modes on Main Game to probably update you guys on that. I recommend this game to anyone who wants to play Monkey Ball for the first time or wants to play a new entry. It's infinitely better than Banana Blitz HD. That game in my honest opinion is pure dogshit As for Banana Mania, you can now get the game for PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Series X and S and PC physically or digitally. Also there are DLC characters you can get being Hello Kitty, Morgana from Persona 5 or Suezo from Monster Rancher for $5 each. Don't ask me why they would do that other than licensing fees for Hello Kitty and Tecmo's Monster Rancher but Persona and it's creator Atlus is owned by Sega. But I digress. Anyway, Banana Mania gets a 7.5 Out of 10.

====Sora In Smash====

Today in the world of Smash Bros., Sakurai announced the very last DLC fighter for Ultimate being Sora from Kingdom Hearts. I watched the direct and I was blown away by the trailer with Mario, the Inklings, Cloud and other Smashers witnessing Sora appearing with the Keyblade. I was stunned that Sora is a Smasher not because he's a great candidate but the gutsy move from Nintendo to do such a thing. To be specific, Kingdom Hearts is owned by both Square and Disney which is a huge deal. I'm thinking that three companies being Disney, Square and Nintendo both worked something out for Sora to be a fighter. After all, Disney is a beast of a company and with lawyers On deck. Nintendo doesn't want to eff up with the House of Mouse with no common ground.

I watched the demo of Sora in action and I have to say that even though I haven't played any of the KH games, it's awesome to see Sora's moves from his series implemented very well in Smash fighting with the Keyblade and magic. He's really a simple character to use from the looks of things and his Final Smash is pretty good to witness. The demo even shows a three-player Time battle with him, Cloud and Spharoth. Very fitting since all three are in KH and are Square characters.

We're going to get a stage and a music list from KH if you get the character but I forgot the stage name. It's coming next week on October 18th. Unfortunately for obvious reasons, no Disney characters are going to be present. That means no Donald, Goofy or Mickey but I hope we get to see the Spirits of Aqua, Ventus or that villain from Organization 13 when Sora is released. Overall, I'm impressed with the trailer and it ending on a good note.

Let's keep it a buck, Sakurai for the past 22 years creating Smash worked Long and hard in every edition. Ultimate has a lot Of fighters in the roster more than Smash 4 or Brawl for that matter. It's a shame that it's the final slot for Ultimate but the game has been out for 3 years already and I don't think the next Smash game will ever hold the anticipation that Ultimate had since it's debut. Hell, it out sold the arcade version of Street Fighter 2. The fact that Ultimate is the pinnacle celebration Of video games with Nintendo and other companies representing is a big of a deal.

With Sakurai working hard to keep the fans happy throughout the years, it's time for him to rest and relax for a while. We got more than enough characters to last us for a long time. It may be like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe where we may not see a sign of Smash 6 or a Mario Kart 9 for a good while since both MK8 Deluxe and Smash 5 are still doing great sale wise. But I do wish to see a spinoff of Smash in the future for the Switch.

It may happen but for now, I'm good with all the characters repping In Smash as fighters thanks to Sakurai. As for the other games on Switch, I'm deciding On Metroid Dread this Friday, Mario Party Superstars before Halloween, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Remake, Bayonetta 3, Splatoon 3, Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 or the new Kirby game. It's a tough decision and It's not helping with the new N64 and Genesis games on the Online service for $15 extra. Anywway, that's all of the Smash Bros. thoughts for today.

That's it for today's edition of Mancub's Den but hopefully I can finish up on one Of my fanfics before bed tonight. Also, this came up but what If Disney made their own fighting game like how Nickelodeon now has All-Star Brawl? That would be insane. Maybe I'll add that to my newsletter but I hope they'll add In popular and obscure characters like Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Roger Rabbit, Buzz Lightyear or Jack Skellington. The tricky thing is in what vain would a Disney fighting game would be in? Power Stone, Smash Bros., King Of Fighters or BlazBlue? Feel free to sound off in the reviews or PMs. As always, LilMancub out and I'll see y'all in the next one. As what Willie D says, No Mo' Talk.
