Hey, folks. I'm stuck in writer's block at the moment as I haven't uploaded any new chapters like I planned to. It happens to us writers in Fanfiction or any other site. However, I'll release another edition of Mancub's Den with a special look of a What If scenario. Apparently, Warner Bros is making a Smash Bros. clone according to the rumors yesterday dubbed Multiverses. I figured since Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is already released in stores and the fact that Sora from Kingdom Hearts is in Smash gave me a great idea of Disney if they threw their hat in the ring with a Smash Bros style fighter or a Power Stone game. Anyway, let's leave it all out in Mancub's Den.
======What's the Title and possible Developers?========
Now the title of the Disney focused fighter can be known as, "Magical Melee" or "infinity Slam". Sure it can be better titles for the fighter but they can do here. As for the developers aside from obviously Disney Interactive, there's possible candidates out there that can execute the game correctly. The few best ones can either be Capcom, Sega, Namco. After all, these three companies have experience in making the best fighting game franchises like Street Fighter, Virtua Fighter or Tekken respectively. I would want Nintendo to develop the game but then again, that would be exclusive to just the Switch leaving out the PlayStation, Xbox consoles and PC. So it has to be either one of the three mentioned companies working with Disney. All Disney needs to do is supervise and market the game while either Capcom, Sega or Namco create the game.
Come to think of it, Capcom would be best due to their great relationship with Disney in the past. Not only that, if the game's not in the vain of Smash then it can be in the form of Power Stone. Namco is similar with the gameplay similar to Naruto Ninja Storm or One Piece fighting games. Sega is an Iffy choice but they can be a 3rd option.
=====Which Gameplay Is Best Suited?=====
The gameplay would most likely be a Smash Bros clone with the controls simplified with normal and special attack buttons and a jump with the face buttons, shield and grab buttons on the shoulders and every identical control scheme to Smash. The core gameplay is just damage your opponent to high percent and KO them offscreen. It's a fun yet simple gameplay of Smash Bros. However, Disney needs to differentiate themselves from not Only Smash but also with Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl and the rumored WB iteration. For instance, have different modes that add replay value in multiplayer or single-player with various avenues to unlock characters, stages and modes. Yes, Smash Ultimate did this before but I guess Disney and the developers can add their mix to the table.
Now for Power Stone, the gameplay is a Little different then Smash being that the characters fight and run around in a 3D arena using attacks, items and the environment for victory. There are no ring-outs as it plays in a traditional rule of depleting your opponent's health to 0. The health bars can be tweaked to have blue, white and red making it 3 bars to deplete and make the fights fast-paced and balanced properly to make it a crazy yet fun experience in battles similar to how Power Stone 2 was. That game improved with a more balanced fighting gameplay. The stages whether in Smash or Power Stone can be traveling stages or a single stage. In Smash's example, Pilotwings stage has you fight on a biplane before it transitions you to a hang-glider and some balloons before the process happens again.
Overall, if you've played either those two fighters, then you can get an idea of what to expect from the game. I'd like to emphasize my take on stages, modes and other goodies but I'd like to build my dream roster first.
=====The Fighters======
What makes a fighting game the best? Memorable and cool characters is part of the experience and a giant of a company like Disney has a lot of characters from their Ips people remember all over the world to their advantage. Now Disney has some hidden gems beneath their majority of Ips like The Black Cauldron, Atlantis: The Lost Empire and Brother Bear as examples. Unlike Disney, Nintendo's a different story for I haven't heard of any of their franchises like F-Zero, Metroid, EarthBound or Fire Emblem until I'd played Smash to get to know the characters and their games. Sure, I've heard of Mario, Zelda, Kirby, Pokemon, Star Fox and Wario but never the other ones mentioned just then. Hell, Fire Emblem wouldn't become a popular series in America without Smash Bros including the reps Marth and Roy in Melee or Ike in Brawl. Including both well-known and Hidden gem characters in a Disney brawler to Introduce to new gen fans would give them curiosity to explore the series they've came from and fall In Love with them. Anyway, here are my dream fighters starting with the Ones you have by default, unlockables and DLC.

That's all the characters period for this list. I did forget about Alice, Cheshire Cat and White Rabbit but I guess I can include her in the fighters list and the Cheshire Cat, White Rabbit and Mad Hatter as assist fighters. There's a lot of Disney characters to have make the cut but I had to pick the best of the best. Oh, what the hell. I'll Include Homer Simpson and Bart to the unlockable list. Homer's grab attacks are modded differently. Meaning, attack button when grabbing a male opponent will do the choke maneuver depending on the frequent pressing of the attack button. Females will not undergo Homer's attack but instead either belch or tickle instead. So the roster now is a Little more than Smash Bros. Ultimate's but at Least they'll be plenty of fighters to work with. Now I can discuss the possible modes of Infinity Slam. One thing I like about fighting games is that it has a lot of modes to enjoy and Smash Bros., Tekken and Virtua Fighter is one of those examples.

A/N: And that's Part 1 of my What If scenario of a Disney Smash clone or a Power Stone one. Sure, it's not a bad idea but the thing is that the right developer needs to come alongside Disney and execute it correctly to make it a great game. I haven't played Nick All-Star Brawl but feel free to tell me how good that game is. However, WB did make a Smash clone but with Cartoon Network characters but the game was met with negative responses. The reason I put Capcom, Sega or Namco as good candidates is that they have a long history of making great fast-pace fighting games. As long as the game has a well-balanced core gameplay and characters, a great netcode for online play because Smash Bros. servers can b a Little laggy. Brawl's the worst in lags but Smash 5 is decent but needs some work. All Disney/Capcom, Namco or Sega need to do is have a good rollback style of netcode with improvements and a great game engine to accommodate it. In fact, SNK is using a rollback code for the servers in King Of Fighters 15 next year.
Anyway, stay tuned for Part 2 as I talk about possible stages, story of the game, customizing and how the replay value will impact the longevity of the fighting game. What do you think about my dream roster and the modes of play? Are they great or overkill? Sound off in the reviews or PMs. As always, LilMancub out and I'll see y'all in the next one.
