Hey, guys. I'm here with Part 2 of a What If Disney Made A Smash Clone?. Here, I will discuss the stages, story of the game, customizations, items and replay value of the game it can bring. Last night, I Looked onto the Game Ideas Wiki and stumbled upon an article of Disney Vs. Capcom where the Disney side had their namesake brand with Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars beside them and Capcom is self-explanatory. Note that Game Ideas wiki is just ideas and never actual games. The game had 200 characters but my Infinity Slam idea had less than that.
Before I get started, MenyDragon5 had a suggestion of a character from Gargoyles as a fighter being Demona. Hope I'd spelled her name right but she'll be a fighter along with protagonist Goliath from also Gargoyles. Mushu and Li Shang can be fighters along with Mr. Toad and Bongo The Gorilla as assist fighters. Now let's get started with Part 2.
======Stages=======
Before I get with the stages, this game idea is developed by Capcom and Square just because it works well with Disney games. As for stages, some are traveling and stationary style creating variety of hazards that are instant Kos or damage. For example, In Acme Factory, if a character is at 100% damage and hits the pool of dip, it's instant KO on the spot. But If Roger, Jessica, Doom or assist fighters from their series being WFRR hit the dip below, it's instant death.
It's like the Inklings of Splatoon dying after hitting a water hazard of the stage since they're made of ink and paint. I like the nice touch in Smash Ultimate. Also, the stages can be switched to Normal, Omega (Final Destination format) or Battlefield format creating hundreds of possible formats of a stage. The other unique feature to stages is a Stage Morphing option where you can combine two stages to transition to after a certain amount of time. The final thing is how you can switch off the hazards at your choosing in the Rules section before picking a character and the custom rules are saved in following stages are same as the fighters being that they are categorized in Default, Unlockables Or DLC. The Custom Stages in Stage Maker can be used in various game modes.

)(Well, guys. That's the stage list for the game for Disney and Capcom to work with. I thought about having Ryu as another Capcom rep but Mega Man is a Little fitting for he's the mascot of that company. Maybe Ryu and Suzaku Castle can be a free download. That's plenty of stages and like Smash 5, you can change the music on the spot from the respective series. For instance, pick a Lion King stage and choose Circle of Life, Hakuna Matata or Be Prepared from the list. I will now do a topic of the story.
====Plot of Magical Quest Mode======
Before I get started, the mode's name is a Capcom easter egg where they made a series for the Super Nintendo and Game Boy called Magical Quest. As for the plot, the world of Disney were in danger as Yen Sid suddenly snaps and ravaged the worlds the Disney characters resided in. To make matters worse, he pulled a Thanos-like move and used a blinding light to wipe out the population of Disney leaving King Mickey and Sora alone in the chaos. Now they must traverse through the worlds rescuing and bring back the ones Yen Sid killed off while also picking up the pieces on what and why is Yen Sid is doing this unaware of a true mastermind lurking in the shadows.
That's the Plot similar to Avengers' Infinity War and Endgame and Smash's World of Light Mode. I included Sora and Mickey Mouse all because it's pretty fitting for an Elseworlds-essque storyline not canon to the mainline Kingdom Hearts series. Heck, Square's development with Capcom is a breeze with storyline expertise as they're well-known in the RPG genre. Mega Man X has some sort of role in the story mode after you encounter him.
There's also a story pack DLC unlocked if you get the Marvel and/or Star Wars packs. Like I said in the first part, this game mode can be co-op.
=======Customizations=====
The customizable features are a vital part of the fighting game experience as you get gold from game modes. And the costumes and moves used for your Sackboy/girl (PS), Avatar (Xbox and PC) and Mii (Switch can be fought in other modes of Play. The archetypes are the same as Smash being the Brawler, Gunner and Swordsman but a new addition is Tricky.
Tricky is somewhat a mixture a magic wielders and jokesters with unpredictable attributes. Kind of like Diddy Kong in a since but Disney-wise, I'll use Roger Rabbit and Goofy as examples of Tricky. Beast as Brawler, Phillip as Swordsman and Iron Man as Gunners.
Stages are also filled with unique parts to use like conveyors, spikes, bombs, lava pits and other zany pieces to make your stage unique. Also, you not Only use the game's music but also songs downloaded in your console's memory to personalize your creation. You can share the stages and download other users' created fighters in the Community tab in Online mode similar to WWE 2K's variation.
Costumes you can dress your Sackboy/Avatar/Mii are from Disney, Capcom and Square properties from a Viewtiful Joe, Anastasia Tremaine or a Moogle costume.
Speaking of costumes, some of the fighters have costumes you can swap for when picking a character. Few examples include Ultimate Armor X, Sorcerer Mickey, Nurse or Park Ranger Jessica Rabbit or a Maui Mallard costume for Donald Duck.
The rules you can customize before you start a match include type of match, time, health or lives count, hazards on/off, items on/off (more on it later.) and stage orders to name a few. I figure that it's a good idea to first set the rules you want, pick a stage and then pick a character for the fight before duking it out. That's all I can say about customizations with your avatars, stages and costumes for existing characters. But you can buy stage parts, costumes and other things In the Shop via Disney Vault or in the shops scattered throughout Magical Quest or Festival modes.
======Items======
The items are either offense, defense or recovery to aid you in battle. However, the items from Disney are a little difficult to list then the Nintendo ones. So I'll do my best. -
Beam Saber: Star Wars
Toon Shoes: Who Framed Roger Rabbit
Magic Lamp: Aladdin (Summons Assist Fighters)
Experiment Pod- Lilo and Stitch (An answer to the Poke Ball that summons Stitch's cousins.)
Food: Original
Heart Tank: Mega Man
The Big One: Toy Story (Randomly hits a player like a Blue Shell)
Magic Mirror: Beauty and the Beast (Creates a decoy of yourself)
Proud Snacks Bar: The Proud Family (Causes you to take damage a Little and messes up your controls momentarily)
Stopwatch: Original (Slows down tempo but you)
Magic Wand: Mickey Mouse
Yashichi: A Capcom easter egg which is an answer to Namco's Special Flag. Grants extra life which is rare to appear.
Chocobo: Final Fantasy- Ride on one and attack opponents with it for momentarily.
(Not sure about other items aside from the Homerun Bat, Bombs and Maui Mallard's popgun. Feel free to add your own items in the reviews. Oh and there's a Mickey shaped ball as a Smash Ball knockoff)
======Elaborating On Festival Mode======
I think I should elaborate on Festival Mode for a bit. This mode lets you traverse throughout the Magic Kingdom roaming through arenas to enter into leagues and tournaments. It's like Quest mode in Virtua Fighter 5 or Tekken Dojo in Tekken: Dark Resurrection. Just pick any of the characters and train and compete to be the best in the fighting festival.
In fact, this is a separate story from Magical Quest mode. In this story, Yen Sid opened up a fighting festival in Disneyland to observe who's the best fighter of the bunch. Whoever is victorious throughout the festival will take On Yen Sid.
That's the plot of Festival Mode but the gameplay goes like this, you choose from the ensemble cast of characters and compete in tournaments in a league. If you win the league, you move onto the next until you face Yen Sid but they do have rules such as number of players, stages and type of match. Earn gold by winning matches and fulfill special conditions unlocking items and game features. You can switch characters on the fly after a tournament or exploring the map.
=====Replay Value======
With plenty of content to last you for a great while, this boasts great replay value. It's endless since they're plenty of characters in the roster to try out in any mode of play. Plus, good avenues to unlock game features you really want to earn. One thing I like about certain games is their replay value that makes you want to pick it back up and play some more. That enhances the longevity of the game for all the right reasons. Hell, fighting games are great example for if you're just playing alone, you want a good amount of single-player content to go around. Soul Calibur 2's Weapon Master, Smash Bros's Adventure and Event Modes and Virtua Fighter 5's Quest Mode lasted me for hours on end unlocking content and it was worth it.
Will Disney's Infinity Slam or Magical Melee enter in EVO with the other fighters in E-Sports? Maybe it would be possible and after all, it would be another Disney/Capcom fighter on the circuit with the others being Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, UMVC3 and Infinite. With Disney as a worldwide giant, it can attract a lot of Disney fans, gamers and others to the circuit giving a win-win for Disney, Capcom and eventually Square. Speaking of them, I'll say a few things in the conclusion.
=======Final Thoughts======
My thoughts about a possible Disney brawler is out of curiosity and it expanded further thanks to Sora in Smash and people Online dressing their Miis as Disney icons for battle. Not Only that but Nick All-Star Brawl has a rumored competitor of WB with their Own take of Smash. Can't blame any of them for Smash is an awesome game to get into. It's the best crossover game and Ultimate broke the Limitations and made it a celebration of all things beyond Nintendo.
If Disney had WB's permission to include Bugs and Daffy, feathers are gonna fly in a rematch from their piano battle to a death battle and now a Smash battle. Holly Wood from Cool World would be a shocker and if Jessica's in the game, it's a dream match for sure. XD
As for the developers, I thought about Capcom as a primary developer and only them but I remember how Square can be a great help in making the game combining great storytelling in Magical Quest Mode and Capcom's pedigree in fighting games. I'm guessing with Capcom mainly developing the game, Square can do secondary work on the game as well alongside Capcom while Disney does the supervising, producing and marketing it. The thought of an awesome game like a Disney brawler is something to think about. At first, I thought about Namco doing the game since they did develop Smash 4 and Ultimate but I wanted to start fresh with Capcom and then Square. However, MenyDragon5 told me of a what if scenario of a Disney Sports game with a mix of sports similar to Deca Sports, Mario and Sonic or Track and Field series. Maybe Sega or Namco can do those. But as for this brawler, I'm happy with the dream roster I've made and Roger Rabbit characters would be a great addition to the cast. I swear Roger, Jessica and Doom would have great movesets to work with. The modes themselves are chock full of hours to invest In with nearly a hundred fighters to have on deck.
The Masterpiece games section came about when I first played the Nintendo games on Brawl for a certain amount of time. However, these Capcom games are full-time to play indefinitely. The toon shorts are going to be a few from Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, three Roger Rabbit shorts and then Pixar shorts.
Overall, I enjoyed this What If scenario like I did with Toontown Cinematic Universe. I've been thinking of another What If with DC Universe fighting against SNK in DC vs SNK. Heck, that would be something to see back in the 90s if SNK and WB teamed up to make their answer to Marvel Vs. Capcom but on the Neo Geo. It'll be like a petty beef on the internet of which is better. Kind of like how WCW and WWE were many years ago. Anyway, tell me what you think about this idea of Disney characters duking it out and especially the Who Framed Roger Rabbit characters joining the brawl and Holly Wood from Paramount's Cool World being a shocker as a dream fighter? Anyway, as what Willie D says, "No Mo' Talk"
