Hello my fellow dragons/other mythologies and today we are ranking...RWBY FIGHTS! CUE THE DRAMATIC AWESOME MUSIC!

...

...Alright so just imagine there was music playing and if your playing music reading this your a step ahead. Anyways as shown I am ranking the 6 RWBY fights I consider the fucking WORST of the entire series! The fights I smash my head against the wall and stare at my ceiling from watching and look like Vegeta in the rain!

So I can hear the thought that "Drago why are you ranting about RWBY again?! Don't you got anything positive to say about it?!" and to that I say...I made a list about the best characters. But I can see the thoughts of some so as a result I shall also make a list on my 6 FAVORITE fights in RWBY!

So I not only get to rant, but praise the series! So yay!

Anyways this list was quite...hard. I limited myself to 6 fights for no reason other than why not and had to fit, well, a a ton of fights into this list and sort which ones are going on here. THEN I had to see how to rank them and that was a long one, then i had to go rewatch some fights just to see if they deserve being here and safe to say I'm a bit drained...kinda.

So after careful consideration and memory I managed to fit the fights into this list! So now I am ready to share this list with you all!

Btw these thoughts are just my own. If you like these fights and stuff then more power to you, I just dislike them a ton.

With that being said, I hope you all enjoy!

Top 6

Number 6: (Ironwood vs Everyone)

Welp what a way to start this list huh?

Honestly this spot had two other contenders for being on here, those being Cinder vs Jaune in Volume 5 and Ironwood vs Winter in Volume 8. The sheer REASON they didn't make the list is because for Cinder it was more on her ignoring Ruby for JAUNE and for the other it was basically problems with Winter's speech to Ironwood and shit. But regardless they would make numbers 7 and 8 in this list, so consider them honorable mentions.

As for why this fight made this list I want you to think of this.

We got Salem, the series big bad and powerhouse arriving to Atlas and ready to destroy for her goals, coming in with this new outfit and kidnapping Oscar and working her plans with everyone...before she is taken out by Hazel and Oscar and is sidelined for the rest of the season.

But worry not! For we have Ironwood who's turn to a villain is as subtle as a car crash in traffic and threatens to bomb Mantle...with no threat but whatever we got a new big bad that was "built up" for volumes now right? So when our "heroes" meet with him what will our fight look like?

40 seconds.

You heard me, the fight was anywhere from 40-48 seconds long if my math was right and if you wanna say 50 some was wasted on the Ace Ops so not even apart of the fight.

So yeah, they gave their new big bad not even a minute long fight after how much they were PUSHING him being a villain and the fight was mainly him on the defensive and getting pushed back for the majority.

Sure he lifted Winter's summon and tanked Nora's hit but compare those two moment to...well the rest of the fight its not much! Especially with how short it was! Seriously if the fight was just a BIT longer than this might've been able to slide but no! We need to waste the episode on Team RWBY and them turning Penny into a human.

Actually lets get on their asses for a second they got some BALLS to not have them fight Ironwood and have the FUCKING B TEAM fight him!

Ruby, Yang, and Blake all played a giant ass part as to why things went to shit in the previous season outside of the villains themselves-who's only real success was taking the lamp- and yet they couldn't even show up to fight the man they screwed over?!

RUBY lied to him and was a big part he doesn't trust them. YANG and BLAKE revealed top secret military information to a woman who is quite against Ironwood and goes against his cause no matter how good. Yet they couldn't come to fight him?! Bullshit!

I know the in canon reason, they wanted to use the relic-they makes everyone look stupid-to wish Penny as a human and transport everyone out of Mantle. But judging from how they were the reasons Atlas and Mantle fell in the first place and how Penny fucking died just two episodes later it makes no sense writing wise!

I'll give the Winter fight something at least it made sense in universe and I could get behind them fighting, but the B team?! Oscar, alright I got but the others have no reasons to fight him asides from plot. The only one who could is Ren and after he joined the hive-mind he might as well be Blake.

Now watch this Ironwood defense real quick. Everyone called this man a heartless monster right? Now ask me why he was GENUINELY happy to see Penny again with no ulterior motives and was genuinely shocked to see Winter betray him and any time she attacked him he had a face of pure and utter surprise on his face to the point you could FEEL his heart break a bit with each attack on him. Doesn't help in their fight he isn't fully antagonizing her and just wants her out the way and gave a single man tear when he had to fight her.

So yeah, some Ironwood defense for everyone.

Hey fun fact did you know that Ironwood once fought an army of zombies in the Great Atlas Crisis and he was beating so much ass the zombies either ran or bowed to him out of fear? True story.

Now for the fight...yeah its basically on here for disappointment. Seriously this fight was too short for how they pushed him as a bad guy and no defense of "they were saving the big fight for Winter" can change my mind. Hell they didn't have to have him win, hell I don't think he SHOULD'VE won! But how it was done was just bad in my opinion.

Number 5: (Hound Fights...All)

Alright before I get into this I am saying this...I liked the Hound. Now with that out of the way let me get into these fights.

Alright this MIGHT be cheating cause I put both but here's my reasoning...these two fights were so much as non fights that putting them both together is barely a single fight in of itself and therefore makes the list. Cool? Cool.

Anyways basically I don't really need to get too deep into why these are so bad, so here's basically just the main thoughts.

For the first you got an intelligent Grimm folding the B Team to all hell and while the fight has some good moments(the Hound speaking and Oscar's bodying) the reason its here is because...nobody does anything.

Everyone basically stands back and does nothing in the fight for most of the duration before the Hound runs off and that's it. Hell when it has Oscar they basically just scream at it and wait for decently understandable reasons but come on, they do nothing even before that, its just ad at that point.

For the second I dunno if I should even count it. It drops Ruby, then smacks Penny to the ground awkwardly, then gets one shotted by Ruby before the reveal...and then it dies.

So...yeah that was the "fights" and they were pretty...underwhelming. Seriously I dunno if I can even count them as the second is basically a everyone scrambling like an egg before Ruby blasts it to get the reveal.

Now you'd THINK this reveal would have big impact on Ruby as a character but nope! She whines about it slightly but gets over it pretty quick and moves on like nothing happened! Well that didn't even need to be there then, just have Ruby's main source of complaining her stupid plan and nothing even changes the rest of the Volume going forward.

The Hound fights...were pretty ass looking back can't even lie. Rip the Hound though.

Number 4: (Qrow and Tyrian vs Clover)

Now this one has been talked about to DEATH by basically everyone and I don't think I have ever given my thoughts. So with my expert precision and sport skills in cooking a chair I will say this...

...This fight was terrible.

Why did Robyn attack Clover? Seriously you got a deranged serial killer right next to you as your God knows how many feet in the sky and Ironwood literally just wants you in for some questions and you decide "HEy lEtS AttACk! ThIS FoR sUre wON'T Go WRonG!"

Oh yeah then she attacks for no reason, Tyrian escapes, kills the pilot, crashes the plan, Clover tries to talk Qrow out of fighting at first then Qrow basically says screw it then they fight, Tyrian has his badass scene of his escape before jumping in, and Robyn is still alive...yay.

Alright...Lets get this out of the way I dunno why Clover stopped some of Qrow's attacks on Tyrian. My BEST guess is he viewed Qrow as the bigger threat or wanted him neutralized first before focusing on Tyrian, but even then what Qrow does next basically makes this invalid.

Qrow...Your fighting with the guy who wanted to tear your nieces eyeballs out and take her to Salem and poisoned you, why team up with him instead of continuing th 1? If that happened I DOUBT people would be as mad but since you teamed up with TYRIAN of all people to take out your friend that's on you.

No, I don't care, Qrow is basically the reason Clover got killed. Even if he didn't directly help Tyrian he was still helping by fighting with him against Clover, making the figh and was still landing attacks that lead into Tyrian's, who you didn't try stopping and let it happened.

THEN he has the fucking gall to be shocked when Tyrian stabs Clover in the back and gives this weak ass punch to him before Tyrian runs off. Then we got the dumbest part, he blames...Ironwood.

Whoa! He didn't do anything but just order them all to him, and you blame him? I mean sure he kinda got everyone there for the taking but it I doubt he could know what would happen on the ship after the order.

If anything we should be blaming Robyn! Why did she attack Clover on the ship?! There is no feasible to tell me she was in right there cause even a dumbass could tell fighting on a small ass ship dozens if not hundreds of feet in the air with a serial killer on board in the fight radius is a dumb idea! Seriously how in the fuck do you defend that!

What did we learn? Robyn in a dumbass and possibly the worst character in the series, and that action cemented her in the harming of the innocent little chair didn't.

"ONLY" this loss bitch, Clover's death is on your hands because of your stunt.

Oh then we got the blame game, the FUCKING. BLAME. GAME.

Qrow was actually open to admitting his mistake before seconds later beginning to blame Clover which is kinda stupid considering he said "We could've worked against Tyrian" when he himself worked with Tyrian in a way to beat Clover. Hypocrisy at its finest!

Then Robyn Hill, Robyn FUCKING Hill then essentially says Clover was wrong for what he did and how Qrow's a better huntsman despite being the SOLE FUCKING REASON everything happened! Jesus open up that you fucked up guys, I get grief on Qrow but Robyn had no excuse if she's blaming the literal dead guy for his own death when he just wanted peace at the end of the day.

So yeah, this fight pissed me off and Qrow and Robyn after it made me wanna swing. Moving on from this god awful fight.

HOWEVER BEFORE THAT...Can we just appreciate Tyrian?

Man's saw an opening and took it, had fun during the fight, got to wear a hat, and had a cool ass escape and was just vibin' throughout the entire event. Man's was just enjoying his day at that moment and you gotta give him credit.

Alright, on to the next!

Number 3: (Team RWBY vs The Ace Ops)

...You can't see but my head is in my hand.

This fight was both anger inducing and disappointing. Anger from the actual fight, and disappointing from how the Ace Ops were treated.

So basically we got this ELITE force of Atlas's students and work directly under Ironwood, one has time stopping powers, they are seen as a force bigger than what we have seen previously and Ironwood basically trusts them with the more difficult stuff right? So how in the FUCK do they lose to Team RWBY?!

Let me see...One has super speed...the other has time stopping powers.

One can summon shit...the other has time stopping powers.

One can make shadow clones...the other has time stopping powers.

One needs to take damage for her power...the other has time stopping powers-yeah you see where I'm getting at?

Basically Marrow should've frame 1 froze these guys and had the other Ace Ops tie them up or incapacitate them and boom! No fight and easy win! But no instead we gotta have this big fight.

Then we get to the fight and let me say this is some of the WORST pace of powerscaling I've seen in the series and this series has a bit. How does Atlas's elite lose to this group of huntswoman who BARELY had any training since they got there? A month or two isn't enough, and we have no indicator on how much they grew aside from weapon upgrades! What is this scaling!

Also to those about to type "But they weren't as strong as you imply-" then why did they have to give two whole reasons as to why they lost? No answer? Welp can't use that against me here. Watch this, cause I'll be back real quick.

Doesn't help that the Ace Ops should've wrecked in just pure skill and strength, but how do they lose to Team RWBY? I get it, they had arguably better Semblances but here's my defense for this.

Harriet has Ruby's speed but presumably quicker and Ruby's main thing is splitting herself, which you'd think Harriet could avoid.

Marrow has time stopping, that alone puts him in top 5 Semblances.

Vine is basically a walking neg with his aura and if his bomb feat is any indicator he could just shield the team or hold some and have the Ace Ops gang up on the others.

Hell this doesn't get into the next thing I'm about to say. Can any of Team RWBY one on one box Qrow evenly? Can Ruby box Qrow evenly? Cause Harriet did as she also worried about the bomb-though Qrow did as well so I guess this was a double neg so PEMDAS-so unless you can tell me Ruby can do that then her win makes no sense. Harriet should've mid-no diffed Ruby and went onto the others.

Hell the only thing you could argue is that the Ace Ops just fought to contain while Team RWBY fought to beat down, BUT that falls once you realize they should've went and went all in once they realized they were losing.

No amount of "Ruby's speed!", "Weiss Summoning", or "Yang's built different" can make up for the sheer amount of ways the Ace Ops should've won by.

Then we got the reasons...they held back and they had no teamwork...

...Once again my head is in my hands. Let me break this down.

IF they were holding back they should've went all in once Team RWBY got the upper hand, no reason they should've with what they just learned Team RWBY did and the orders given to detain. No excuse.

Then the teamwork argument...I'm pretty sure only Yang and Blake worked together, Ruby and Weiss did their own thing and only assisted once their own opponent was out of the picture. Teamwork simply can't work when Team RWBY barely used teamwork themselves and still won, I don't get the logic.

The damage control for this was bad cause both reasons can easily be deflected and be proven why it can't works, this entire fight could've ended in 6 different ways off the top of my head.

Also Ruby's "Then you trained us" line makes me wanna swing, like holy hell that makes me wince from the forced line. If they were training longer and were seen as more on tier level before this then this line could've worked but it doesn't in the context of the show, it comes off bad.

So yeah that's the fight, I dislike it a whole ton and surprised I wrote this much. Huh, neat.

Number 2: (Adam vs Yang and Blake)

Ooh now we're getting to the big boys, though I bet your all surprised to see this not at number 1 with knowing how much I like Adam and how I expressed my hatred on it back in my first posted RWBY rant and to that I say...yeah I'm slightly surprised myself.

Anyways onto the fight this fight makes me mad on so many different levels that I'm sure we might be here for a while. So get your drinks ready for when i go in...but if this is shorted than I intended then still keep your drinks around, drinks are nice.

So first we got fight itself and here's the thing...it WORKS story wise, but scaling wise and character wise is where this fights becomes complete dogshit. Both of it doesn't work, it seriously can't not matter how much you tell me otherwise.

Alright lets get into the characters first, as that might be the easiest.

You've heard me rant time and time again about Adam before, but for those who haven't let me give a shortened version. *Ahem* Adam was a wasted character who was made into a simp when the writers insisted he was an abuser when no evidence in the show shows this, and was killed in a terrible fight. There, done.

As for Yang I gotta say...if Volume 5 didn't cement her as one of my least favorite characters this fight pushed her to the bottom tier. Seriously, for the past...what, 3 Volumes Yang's been having dreams and flashes of Adam and was subconsciously dreading their next meeting and yet when she seems him...nothing.

She's fucking stone faced, and even though her hand gives a tiny shake I'm sure anyone could give at the sign of a powerful threat she is instantly quelled by Blake's hand. I wonder what's so great about Blake? Like she's hot but I don't think she's all that to have a fucking harem...no offense Blake lovers.

You'd think she'd be shaking more, fearful as all fuck and maybe even breaking down and shouting in rage for what he did to her but nothing! This is the ONE time Yang's bitchy reactions would've worked and yet we don't get JACK SHIT! NOTHING! NADA! ITS LIKE STARING AT YOUR POPCORN BOWL THAT IS EMPTY WHILE YOU STILL HAVE 30 MINUTES TO YOUR MOVIE! IT FUCKING SUCKS!

Then we got Blake...just being Blake. No problems here really, at least she reacts ya know.

I think that covers characters, most of them suck in this fight so how is the scaling? It it good-

No its God awful.

You mean to tell me that Yang and Blake, who was losing BADLY against Adam not too long ago is able to now keep up and kill a bloodlusted version of this same guy? Yeah this doesn't work and let me tell you all why.

Yang here's was in bed for a long ass time and her only form of fighting was small spars, the fight at Haven, and traveling. So I'd say clearly nothing major since her FUCKING ONE SHOT AT MAX to now so I dunno how she's doing so well against Adam.

Oh yeah, the argument "Adam cheap shotted her! It was unfair-" how does that work? Doesn't that work if Yang was involved with something else and Adam attacks her without her expecting it and from an angle she can't see? You mean to tell me Adam in Volume 3 who was fighting someone else at that time reacted and incapacitated someone who dashed at him at what was clearly full on rage and power from his side and still lost properly? I know this isn't something i should say, but when you see this argument brought up its hard to take this seriously.

As for Blake she was getting FOLDED by Adam in Volume 3, though if you want to argue she was mainly surprised to see him, sure, why not. But in Volume 6 Blake would've most definitely been FUCKED if Yang hadn't stepped in when she did, cause she was losing pretty bad to Adam there. As for her training...I'm pretty sure she was actively avoiding fighting, so I highly doubt she got any stronger unless she and Sun sparred, though her fight before her and Yang's threeway showed something different as she was getting dominated.

So we got these two who lost pretty hard against Adam previously against Adam, who based on the White Fang itself you might be able to assume he was training since he is now the leader and has to work and stuff right? So he's probably stronger than how he was in Volume 3, who was already beating these two then we got him now and...he's dead.

Not even clever like, he loses his sword and gets stabbed. Now here's a thing...WHY DOES HE NEED THE SWORD?!

Blake said he was basically Yang but can essentially do more shit right? So why does he specifically need his sword to fight? Can he not throw hands? Does he not have a fucking shotgun for a sheath that he barely used that he still could've before he boxed? Why does he go crazy when he loses his sword and everyone acts like he lost? If his Semblance could pour energy into something and release it back could he, in theory, take a pebble and store energy there and launch pebble bullets?

But plot happened, so meep.

I dunno why Adam didn't do more damage anyways, like he was dominating Blake to the point she had to call in her girlfriend to take over cause she couldn't handle him for a while but then after he's the one on the defensive. Like they kill him and all, but what damage does he do? Cause they don't even get injured last time I checked and can still fight Cordovin and the Leviathan after the fight. Hell they look fine minus Blake who just lost her jacket, so in reality they really just mid diffed this man.

Based on scaling either they lose BAD or if I highball to hell they win but just barely and come out barely able to fight afterwards and with a ton of injuries. I can't see a way that this makes sense.

Though there is this theory that Adam was more wild and he usually takes up energy before firing in one swing...but here's the problem...

...Adam was using his Semblance more skilled and controlled than usually and only got wild towards the end of the fight. Hell even if he powered up his blade and swung, which in scaling should end the fight right then and there, but if they dodge then he's back to the original fight. It doesn't work, and doesn't bloodlust give you more a buff usually and wasn't he still controlled just a bit more pissed off? This theory doesn't work so just wanted to share.

So on a scaling point Yang and Blake should've died, there's no way they could win unless you either downplay Adam or hype up Yang and Blake and say they trained a SHIT ton to the point they can now mid-dif someone who was bodying them with no difficulty previously.

I said this before and I'll say it again, Adam should've been an enemy to all of Team RWBY and had them all fight him to beat him. Would've worked both story wise and even help the scaling a bit. Reasons? Well-

Ruby- Fights a "hero" type character that she aspires to be and get to meet someone who is a big part of the reason her team split up and why her sister got cripples
Weiss- Gets to face a prime source of something her family did
Blake and Yang- Obvious

FUCK! Went on a slight Adam rant again, sorry.

But anyways yeah that's my thoughts. It was stupid and dumb and honestly the ONLY thing it got going for it is how good it looks, cause the fight looks great all things considered.

Now, what is the worst fight in RWBY-

NUMBER 1: (NEO VS MARIA! THIS DUMBASS FIGHT!)

...I hate this fight.

I seriously hate this fight, its to the point I just don't even wanna think this is in canon with how much complete and utter bullshit that this fight brought. Now watch as I explain why this fight is garbage.

Time to go over scaling for Neo really quick. Neo has a top 4 most broken Semblance in the entire show, can makes literal clones of herself, smart with it, might be able to teleport(Yang fight where she disappears but not clear), has a parasol that negs projectiles a bit, agile as fuck, fast as fuck, and managed to box Cinder to MAIDEN! Now lets move onto Maria...

Caught a lemon and lost her eyes fighting Tock and her no name group.

You...You see the problem? Neo has so much pure hax and abilities she got to go up against this old lady get is getting bodied-wait bodied doesn't even describe it, demolished against Maria who is laughing and treating this fight like a game on easy mode.

I can already fucking hear the "O-Oh she's a veteran! Reflexes-" Maria's a old ass lady who can barely walk or stand up straight and who's BEST feat was catching a lemon I'm sure anyone in or out of universe could do better than her with even mild focus.

Also imma say it just because you can tell when somethings coming towards you, doesn't EVER guarantee you can always dodge or evade it. Think the Sharingan from Naruto, Haki from One Piece, these people have a sort of future sense but even though they got this they don't always play off all attacks as easy ESPECIALLY if the others hax is better! That's the flaw! She can react better than others but that doesn't mean she can just avoid everything!

"But Drago, she's a veteran!-"

A lady so out of her prime its sad. An argument had is that Qrow wanted to be like her but that doesn't even imply he wanted to be as STRONG as her cause he never MET her, so he had no way to gauge her strength. Its honestly, just an admiration for Maria he had when he was younger and doesn't correlate to now, its not a feat in the slightest.

Then we got the question. Could Maria old as fuck box Cinder to Maiden? If not then she's not beating Neo, that simple.

But we aren't done, as I got a friend called DegenerateDemon who made a meme "Younger Marira would beat Neo" as we were chatting and since I was gonna add this a bit in this section anyways I might as well have brought him up...

...Mainly because he asked. Meep.

So here's my take really quick...unless we get better Young Maria feats then Neo wins. Your gonna have to tell me Tock and her crew were some TOP tier hunters back in the day and the fact Maria won puts her in another league. That's it, Silver Eyes don't work on Neo and I'm pretty sure even with her reflexes Neo's keeping her on her toes especially if she waits the fight out and just sends copies of herself to trick Maria. Sorry to say, but just because Young Maria had a name for herself compared to, ya know, an assassin who keeps her name hidden I don't think she wins...

...If that's the case than shouldn't Roman beat her? Or Ironwood because of how well known they were? See the problem?

Think about this...this was just scaling. I didn't even GET into how Neo fought so slow and clunky like and only real hit was a cheap shot when Maria looked away, like it was terrible. Based on the Neo we've seen she would've even be making half of the most she did in that fight.

So yeah that's my most hated fight in the series, I'm fucking done. Bad fight, can't save it, I'm eating some ice cream.

Well with that said that's my list for the worst fights in RWBY and I think I said just about everything I needed. Feel free to debate me in the comments and stuff, could be fun.

Next chapter we'll take a look at my 6 favorite fights in the series, so that'll be a nice change of pace for me. Can I get a lets go?

Anyways with all that said and done let me know your version of the list and if you want to explain why, be nice to hear your own thoughts and feelings on the fights you find bad.

Welp, guess I got nothing else to add. Thanks to all those who stuck around to the end and with this done I'll see you all in the next one! Have a great day!

PEACE!
