Chapter 3 : Goblin Extermination

Gobi is one of the strongest goblins in this area. The Dire Wolves, one of their stronger competitors on this territory, will hesitate whenever he is present.

He became very confident and is even terrorizing a nearby human settlement. Because of his strength, he is not scared of the humans.

He still remembers his days when he usurp the position of chief on this settlement. At that time, he became a Goblin Knight, one of the evolutionary trees that a goblin can evolve after accumulating enough magic power. Right now, he have become more stronger and have evolved into a Goblin Champion.

Even those humans who likes hunting his kind were easily killed by him. He is not scared of anyone anymore and even thinks of expanding his territory.

For now, he is satisfied turning the nearby human settlement into his cattle. He forced them to give him tributes after killing their strongest warriors.

The tributes are of course their females. Those females were used to breed to bolster their numbers until they die.

It is a nice day, and he is relaxing with the delicious meat that those humans have offered when he heard a commotion.

Grunting in annoyance, he stood up and turned to the frantic lowly goblin hurrying to his position.

The goblin screeched, pointing on the direction of their entrance. He glares at the goblin, causing that goblin to flinched in fear before kowtowing to him.

He took a step forward and tries to look at the entrance. From there, he saw a small girl wearing a light equipment. It only consist of the bare minimum to protect her, and the one covering her body are just clothes.

The girl is pretty with her ash grey hair and blue eyes. She is a bit on the short side, but he thinks she can at least breed a hundred of their children before she expires.

With those thoughts in his mind, he bellowed. Calling up the goblins and pointing at the foolish girl walking straight to his domain.

He is already thinking of the ways he will breed her when the girl suddenly did something unbelievable.

He saw the girl nimbly dodging the goblins with a calm look. Each time a goblin gets closer to her, they fell to the ground with a pool of their blood. The goblins who tries to shoot her with their slings or bows where easily evaded as she gets closer to them.

Gobi widened his eyes as he saw something weird happening. Everytime she kills a goblin, they are slowly vanishing into cubes and bits. Then the girl is materializing the weapons that he is sure some of the goblins she killed are wielding awhile ago. She is throwing those weapons accurately, killing the goblins on the distance.

Those weapons that she throws then vanishes before going back to her hands. It is a kind of sorcery that almost freaks him out.

He shook his head, recalling his station. He is a Goblin Champion, and even those humans specialized on hunting them were easily killed by him. If he goes there on the field, he is sure he can easily defeat the girl.

After defeating her, he will make sure to be rough just to let her know where she stands!

With those thoughts, he roared on her way as he charges. A large sword that he got from one of those armed humans were held with his hands. He uses one of the things he got with his evolution, a skill known as [Swift Slash]. This skill can be considered one of his killing blows. It's capabilities making it so that his opponent won't know what hit them.

With tremendous speed and force, Gobi quickly reaches her and aims at her blade, trying to disarm her. The girl tries to block him, which made him grin.

Normally, a small girl like her can't possibly handle the force of his strike. Her lousy sword would have surely broken and might even incur a large wound in her body just by the angle of his slash.

But a surprising thing happened!

He widened his eyes when he saw her not just parrying, but even deflecting his slash to the side. His skill gives him tremendous slashing power for the first strike, but that also makes him vulnerable after that slash.

"Woah! I almost got hit by that!"

He heard the small girl exclaiming in surprised as she moves within his personal space. His body is still leaning forward due to the force of his strike, making him unable to react to her next action.

She stabs through his stomach. Despite the iron-like build of his abs, her sword easily pierces through his skin, the blade going as far as to appear behind his back.

A lousy looking blade, that is supposed to have snapped due to his iron-like build, easily piercing through him like it's nothing.

Gobi can't understand. His hand losing his grip on his large blade.

The girl, without giving any moment for him to recover, snatches up the large sword he is wielding. His weakening body didn't manage to gripped it strongly, and she somehow managed to quickly get it despite not having the build to carry it.

She takes a stance and then swings it widely, hitting his upper body and cutting it.

It is truly a surprise. A small girl managed to carry his large sword and somehow swings it with enough strength to bisect him. Even as his consciousness slowly slips out, he is still trying to comprehend just what happened.

Before he fell to the ground, the girl took the sword that she stabbed through him, and then he heard her whisper.

"Surprisingly, this BOSS is too weak..."

Without being able to discern it, Gobi laid on the dirt lifelessly.

"Phew. That's a nice warm up!"

In the middle of this bloodstained and wrecked settlement, Misha is overlooking the consequences of her work.

"Ah!~ I didn't thought this would be so easy!~"

She really is surprised about that. After seeing a large goblin and a group of others being armed, she thought it would be a tough fight. She is surprised to see them being killed by a single strike. Her Practice Sword easily cutting through them.

"That Bastard Sword is honestly scary. Good thing I am using my starter weapon!"

In this game, every item have a Durability Points (DP). If it hits 0, that weapon will break and it can't be recovered anymore.

This is why the game have a function called as Repairing. It's also a Skill that any Players can learn to take care of their gears.

Anyway, while most items can possibly be broken, some of them are an exception. One of those exceptions are the starting gears.

Starting gears have unlimited DP. They can't be broken no matter what happens. Though, they also have the lowest status in the game so most players sell it off to obtain better weapons. Only Pro Players and other Players who reads the guides put it in their treasury or let it become a display on their inventory. In case of the Pro Players, they even go as far as to challenge themselves by just using it.

She is also not using most of the weapons she looted and is planning to get at least until the mid game before putting it on her inventory.

She looks at all the loots that she got and felt satisfied by it. She also managed to maxed out her level, so she can choose a Job that she wanted.

"Of course, it will be Villager!"

Her mind is already set as she picks that. Then, she saw a new prompt.

[Job Changed to Villager LV1 complete]

"Yosh! I can finally do a lot of things with this!"

As to why she chose the Villager, it is because it have one of the most flexible Basic Jobs on the five. It have all she needs to be self-sufficient.

Originally, she is trying to go for the Warrior and will specialized herself in swords. After the mishap on her improvised VR Capsule, she decided to stop thinking about it and let herself enjoy.

Of course, she is still trying to be efficient and Villagers have a Job Tree that are all support-based. Most of those are for miscellaneous stuff, and she will need that if there will be no Players other than her here so she can be self-sufficient.

She looks at all her loots and saw some interesting things with it.

"I can use a lot of these to practice my Skills. I can increase my Proficiency with these!"

She excitedly took one of the Goblin Huts as her temporary based and started rummaging through her loots.

"Oops! Before that..."

She quickly look at her Food Rations and then take it.

Satiety is one of the Status in her Status Panel. She needs to eat food or drink water or she will acquired a Starved or Thirsty Ailment if she didn't get to it.

She decided to eat things first before continuing on her plans.
