AN: I am sorry for the long wait in-between chapters. I decided to come back with a quick one and will hopefully be continuing more often than I have. Enjoy this new addition. Thank you.
Thor had thrown Stormbreaker which landed in the chest of Thanos. He slowly walks up to Thanos smug about defeating him. He grabs him and pushes the Axe further into his chest. "I told you. You die for that."
He can here Thanos whispering and leans in a little.
"You… you should have gone for the head." Thanos lifts up his arm and brings his fingers together to snap and it feels like time stops as the fingers don't make contact.
He is weak from the axe in his chest and puts all his strength to bring them together but it still doesn't work.
"You heard purple dinosaur! Go for the head!" comes a strained shout from the woods.
Thor immediately yanks the axe out of Thanos and swings it around to remove his head.
Everyone looks over to see a young woman panting off to the side. She has blood coming from her nose as she looks up at the Avengers. "That guy has some serious finger strength. I had to use all my power just to stop him from snaping his fingers." She laments.
She looks down on the ground and sees a purple stone on the ground and picks it up.
"No!" Everyone shouts to late to stop the girl as no mortal can handle that power.
Everything is silent as nothing happens and the girl looks at them confused. "What are you freaking out about its just a shiny rock." She puts it in her pocket and walks away thinking about how tired this all made her and she just needs to go back to the lighthouse and take a nap before May yells at her for stealing….. borrowing a Quinjet again.
The Avengers left in the clearing are a little confused at what just happened but return to the battle as there was still an alien army invading.
