What's With The Horns?
Well the Knucklehead really messed it up this time. The guy just had to press the wrong button and suddenly the Tornado got suddenly pulled into a big ol wormhole that they were trying to avoid. The team had luckily survived. Sonic was about to snark back at Knuckles but Tails had to make evasive maneuvers.
"Hold on Guys"! The Hedgehog and Echidna wrapped on a piece of the Tornado for dear life. They both quickly realized why as weird looking alien ships were firing at them while attacking a populated city down below. They were coming out of another portal.
"Tails, what's going on"? Tails shrugged and replied,
"I think we got pulled into another dimension, a parallel one at best". Sonic nodded and asked, "Did Egghead get through"? Tails said,
"I don't know Sonic. I can't be sure but we still have the Emeralds". Sonic smiled and said,
"Good, keep them safe for me, will ya. Get me in close". Tails looked bewildered and Knuckles sighed to himself.
Tails asked, "Wait! Sonic, what are you doing"?
Sonic gave his little brother his signature lopsided smirk and said, "These guys are attacking innocent people Tails. Besides, I miss running. Get me near some of the flyers". Tails smiled and laugh. He shouldn't have been surprised his friend would do this.
Sonic turned to Knuckles, "Whaddya say Knucklehead? Ready to punch some aliens and make this right". Knuckles gave a begrudging smile and rubbed his claws together.
Tails yelled, "It's as clear as I can get you! Let me know if you need some air support"! Sonic yelled back,
"Don't leave all the fun to us! Be careful of that lightning in the sky"! Sonic jumped and started homing attack the alien flyers while Knuckles jumped and charged into the large Leviathan ship. He climbed to the top and started digging until the monster died and fell out of the sky. Knuckles jumped off and used his strength to push it away from civilians.
He then charged into the Chitauri soldiers on foot, clawing them with surprising speed. He didn't stop until he spotted the ridiculous star spangled man in Red and Blue. The red haired woman aimed her gun at him. Knuckles grunted in annoyance as he pulled a damaged car near him, blocking the bullets from hitting him.
"Would you stop shooting! I'm here to help"! The star spangled man lowered his shield and said,
"Are talking animals a normal thing now"? The red haired woman rolled her eyes and said, "Definitely not but I don't think he's with Loki". The Echidna lowered the car and said,
"What the hell is a Loki"? The man and woman looked at each other with confusion on their faces.
Star Spangled man said, "He's the guy leading this invasion. Wears weird alien leather and horns. His name is Loki. Should be flying around here somewhere". Knuckles replied,
"Got it". He charged towards the aliens on the ground and clawed through the horde while Cap and Nat continued on fighting.
Knuckles yelled into his device, "You got that Tails?" A high pitch voice returned,
"Yeah, searching now". Knuckles ran as fast as he could. Anger coursed through his claws and fists as he charged towards the Chitauri horde. Knuckles then spotted a large green monster nearby and was about to charge.
"Wait"! The star spangled man shouted. Knuckles turned around confused. The man answered,
"Hulk isn't an enemy. He's fighting off Loki's men for us. Just let him do his thing". Knuckles nodded in acceptance and turned away.
Tails began searching for their Leader as he carefully started shooting aliens with the Tornado's machine guns with excellent precision.
Meanwhile Sonic was wall running the buildings at amazing speed, charging into the alien soldiers as he did it. Hawkeye was surprised that not many of the Chitauri came up to attack him on the rooftop. Sonic speeded down to the streets and removed most of the civilians out of the way and took them to the police.
"You're going to get these poor fellas somewhere safe". The officer raised his gun at him in alarm,
"What the hell are you"? Said Officer suddenly found his gun in Sonic's hands. The blue hedgehog rolled his eyes and replied,
"Sonic The Hedgehog! Now get these people out or somewhere safe. The streets are going to get real ugly". The officer nodded as Sonic handed back his gun then sped off in a streak of blue lightning. The officers had to shake out of their stupor and motioned the civilians to safety.
Sonic quickly sped into a building and saw Captain America fighting one of the alien troops. He quickly heard a buzzing sound and realized the beeping device on the ground near Cap was a bomb. Sonic chuckled as lightning crackled around him as he sped up and quickly grabbed the bomb and threw into one of the Chitauri leviathans. Cap had dealt with the alien and secured the civilians while preparing for an explosion that didn't happen. Sonic smiled then sped out to look for more.
He then found a young brunette girl was hiding behind a large van. He then saw that a squadron of hover crafts were shooting near her position. He grimaced then got to work. The blue hedgehog wall runned up the building nearby then used his momentum to homing attack all the crafts. The girl's eyes widened as they exploded on impact. She couldn't believe it when she saw that a green eyed Blue Hedgehog was doing this. He wore red shoes with a bit of white that looked a bit like sneakers.
"What the hell is this guy"? The girl whispered in confusion.
She then spotted the Hedgehog dropping down then he noticed the horrific leviathan like monster flying from above. The hedgehog did something that the girl never expected: He smiled and he sped up the tallest building nearby and charged into a ball. He rammed himself into the leviathan... or to be more precise, he rammed himself through the leviathan. The creature roared in pain as it fell to the ground dead. She then saw the hedgehog standing right in front of her, looking really dirty.
"You okay? What's your name"? Sonic asked as he tried to get rid of the slime on his face.
The girl nervously replied, "Skye". Sonic smiled and said,
"Cool name, I like it. I'm Sonic The Hedgehog! I'm gonna take you somewhere safe. Do you mind"? He offered his hand and Skye realized that he was asking for permission to carry her. Skye nodded and Sonic held her up with both hands and sped off in a blur. He stopped in front of the police. They took her to safety and Sonic speeded back to the fighting. Skye looked back with a smile on her face.
Knuckles clawed his way through the troops until he spotted a large man on a hover vehicle. He spoke to his communicator,
"I found Loki. He's on one of those aircrafts at 86th". Sonic's voice came through,
"Got it! On our way"! They weren't that far away. Knuckles removed heavy debris as the Black Widow and Captain America helped evacuate the civilians. Tails showed up in the Tornado firing it's machine guns on Loki. It didn't affect him much. He growled and aimed his scepter at Tails. Knuckles could see that it was charging.
"Shit! Move Tails"! The scepter fired but it's trajectory was far away from Tails. The two tailed fox smiled and flew away. Knuckles then noticed why. Wind was picking up faster then it should and Loki was suddenly engulfed in a blue tornado. The winds were so strong that Knuckles saw the Loki's scepter fall out of the tornado. It was becoming clear enough that Loki was falling then he saw Sonic drop spindash right into Loki.
The so called God of Mischief felt like he got slapped to hell as he fell to the ground. He grunted as he rose back up but he couldn't believe what he saw. Of all the things to hurt him like that, of all the creatures on this planet to have that power. It wasn't even his blasted step brother! It was a short creature with green eyes and he wore red shoes. His face didn't even have a scratch. This creature hurt him and he will pay!
Loki seethed, "You! Of all the creatures in the universe, you think you can stop me"! Sonic didn't stop smiling,
"I gotta say, you look better without the hat with the horns. What's with those anyway? You got a thing for reindeers"? Loki growled under the humiliation and shouted,
"You ignorant creature, I am a GOD and I will not be bullied by the likes of you"! Sonic crossed his arms, looking unimpressed,
"I've fought tougher gods then you Reindeer"! That hit the last straw as he picked up the scepter and charged towards him but a second later, he was gone.
The God of Mischief felt a tap on the back of his shoulder. He turned only to get sucker punched in the face. The Hedgehog laughed as he threw a series of punches and kicks. Loki staggered back a few meters. Loki snarled as he tried his next move. Suddenly, multiple Loki's emerged laughing maniacally. Sonic chuckled and cracked his knuckles went to work.
Loki frowned in confusion as he saw Sonic charging up and prepared for what was coming.
The Problem? He wasn't prepared for a light speed attack.
All the Loki's were hit all at once. Almost all the Loki's disappeared but Sonic didn't stop. The real Loki was hit from all sides. When he tried to predict where Sonic was attacking next, his attack was intercepted by a super speed roundhouse kick that sent Loki into a nearby building. The Scepter was dropped on the floor.
Sonic picked up the weapon, "So much for Godhood. Huh, cool spear". Captain America came to him,
"Wait"! Sonic turned to him, "We need to get that Scepter to that building up there. It's the only way to stop the rest of them from coming in". Sonic nodded and yelled out to the Echidna,
"Knux, Loki's all yours". Knuckles smirked and glided towards the building while Sonic speeded up the other building where Nat and Erik Selvig were.
"Hear you're looking for this"? Nat and Selvig turned to see a Blue Hedgehog in front of them carrying Loki's Scepter.
"What are you"? Selvig asked in wonder while Nat took the Scepter,
"Thanks Hedgehog". Nat proceded to enter the Scepter through the alien device that triggered the Wormhole.
Selvig asked Sonic, "Where's Loki"? Sonic chuckled and said,
"Knux is handling him". Tails started calling him,
"Sonic! Come in Sonic! This is urgent"! Sonic tapped his communicator and asked,
"Lay it on me Tails". The fox answered anxiously, "My systems are indicating that there's a nuke headed straight for the city. If it reaches impact then"
Sonic sighed and answered, "The whole city blows up". Tails exclaims, "Exactly"!
Sonic replied, "I got an idea but I'm gonna need the Emeralds for this". Tails's hologram nodded and Sonic asked
"Where's the Nuke approaching"? Tails answered,
"It hasn't reached the city yet. I'm sending you the coordinates now! I'm close to where you are so stay there and I'll get you the Emeralds". The hologram turned off and Natasha asked,
"What Emeralds? What are you doing"? Sonic smirked, "You'll see". Tails arrived in the Tornado. Sonic raised his hands out and Seven Emeralds flew out of the Tornado and rotated around Sonic who held his eyes closed. Natasha wasn't sure what was going on. Tails's knowing smirk was not helping Nat.
To her shock, Sonic's fur turned from dark blue to gold. Lightning was crackling around him. Sonic opened his eyes and they turned from dark green to blazing red. His quills went up like he was supercharged.
He was flying and in a minute, he was gone in a streak of golden lightning.
Tails turned to Natasha who was beyond shocked,
"Don't worry. He'll take care of the nuke". Natasha turned to the plane with the young fox flying it,
"What the hell was that"? Tails laughed and answered,
"That was Super Sonic".
Knuckles was giving Loki a hell of a beating. Without the Scepter, Loki had to rely on his knives and Illusions.
When he attempted the illusion of multiple Loki's, Knuckles grabbed a car and swatted them away like it was a baseball bat. Loki was feeling quite agitated. The Red Echidna was not as fast as the blue hedgehog but he made up for it in strength. Loki could even argue that the Echidna could fight evenly with that sentimental step brother of his.
Knuckles dodged another slash of his knives then caught them with one of his fists then used the other one to slam in the face hard. He then kicked him in the stomach and uppercut him out of another building. Knuckles snorted as Loki struggled to get up.
"Seriously! Even Eggman's mechs were harder to fight then this"! Though Loki did not know who Eggman was, it angered him that this Echidna could taunt and belittle the God of Mischief like that.
Knuckles dodged his next strike and uppercut him again and punched him into the ground then grabbed his leg and slammed his face multiple times in the ground.
The false god groaned in pain and Knuckles scoffed,
"You're a warm up compared to Chaos". Knuckles then spotted a golden streak of lighting in the sky and he smirked.
"What...Was...That". Loki moaned in pain.
Knuckles turned to the defeated god and said,
"A good friend. Be thankful you didn't fight him like that. You would never win". Knuckles then knocked out Loki to Cap's surprise.
A large blonde haired man in leather armor and a red cape came over, "I shall take it from here".
Knuckles moved away as they all looked up and saw a streak of golden lightning pass them. Knuckles knew it was Sonic as the golden hedgehog flew into the wormhole, carrying the nuke with him.
Super Sonic had let the nuke go as it impacted the center of the mother ship and he rammed himself through all the leviathans near the portal and then flew back out. The golden hedgehog smiled.
Nothing else was getting through.
Tails, Knuckles and the remaining Avengers had noticed that all the aliens had suddenly died. The Avengers sighed in relief and Tails and Knuckles smiled that their friend had done it.
Knuckles urged the Avengers, "Keep that thing open". Cap looked like he was ready to argue and Natasha was considering to disregard the Echidna's request.
It didn't matter as the Golden Hedgehog flew super fast back through the portal. Hulk and the others chose not to attack as Super Sonic landed right by Tails, Knuckles, Thor, and Cap. Hulk brought Natasha and Clint after Natasha used the Scepter to close the portal and Iron Man flew down. Tails had transformed the Tornado into a walking mech. His weapons were trained on Loki.
Super Sonic's had slowly returned to his original form. The power that exuded from him shocked even the God of Thunder. Sonic then smirked and handed the Seven Emeralds to Tails who had placed them in their original compartments in the Tornado.
"Thanks for the assist. I'm Steve Rogers". Cap had held his hand out and Sonic shook his hand and said,
"No problem. I'm Sonic The Hedgehog. These two are my buddies Tails and Knuckles". Tails waved at them.
"Pleasure to make your acquaintance. I am Thor Odinson. I have never seen power like that". Natasha looked to Thor in alarm. If this Hedgehog is more powerful then Thor then that's something to be afraid of.
Tony looked at Tails and said, "Did you just turned your plane into a battle mech". Sonic laughed and Tails anwered,
"Yeah, it was originally Sonic's plane but he allowed me to make some modifications". Sonic gave him a high five and said,
"You made it badass Tails"! Knuckles then picked up Loki's Scepter and handed it to Iron Man. Loki had finally made himself known as he grunted in pain. He looked around as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and The Avengers stared back at him ready to fight. Sonic had a taunting expression on his face. Hulk looked ready to smash him and Knuckles readied his fists.
Loki sighed and said,
"If it's all the same to you... I'll have that drink now".
