Ginny Weasley ran into the living room one evening, football in one hand and her muddy cleats in the other, plopping down beside her mother with a force that sent a decorative pillow flying to the ground, and exclaimed "Mum! Change it to the match!" Ginny put her cleats on the floor, watching the television enthusiastically while waiting for her mother to grab the remote.
"Ginevra! There's mud on the floor!" scolded her mother, pointing to the tracks beside the sofa. Ginny simply shrugged and pointed to the television. "I'm watching my program, I'll set your match to record instead."
"No mum!" she whined, "Tt's not the same! It'll be over by the time I get to watch it." she tried explaining.
"It's a sports show. It happens when it happens, it's just as any show." Ginny groaned, knowing her mother would never know the thrilling emotion she felt when watching a football game live, compared to a recording. "Let me watch my film."
She rolled her eyes and placed the ball on the ground, crossing her arms and relaxing back into the soft material of the sofa. Her mother was watching a romance movie that they had all seen numerous times.
A curly haired brunette ran to her fallen lover, tears rolling down her cheeks, blood and dirt staining her skin and clothes. "Marc! You can't just leave me like this!" she cried. "What do I do without you? How do I go on without you?" she pleaded with the man.
"Vi-Victoria," stuttered the bloody, dying man, "live on without me. Be happy, I know you can do this." Marc coughed up large amounts of blood and Victoria's tears fell in cascades, mixing into the blood and dirt. "I will always be by your side."
In slow motion, Marc's hand grew limp in Victoria's hand as life left him, leaving the woman crying and hugging her dead lover as the view panned to the clouds.
Ginny scoffed at the cheesy scene on the television and turned to her mother, only to see her almost in tears as well. "Poor girl! Why couldn't he have lived?" Her mother wiped the smallest of tears away.
"Mum! You've seen this movie nine times already! Isn't that enough?" she asked, bewildered that it was still affecting her the same way it did the first two times she watched it.
A pair of steps soon followed down the stairs, thudding on each step as if a rhino had come into the house. "Gin, let mum watch what she wants." one of the twins said. They stood at the base of the stairs and peaked over. "Oh! Mum is watching your favourite movie Forge!"
A second head popped out eagerly. "A Love Gone?" He piped up. The other twin nodded. "Move over Gin!" The twin ran over and let himself fall onto the couch next to his crying mother, subsequently crushing his sister by a bit.
"You could have asked." said Ginny, rolling her eyes and taking her things with her. "I don't understand why you both like this movie so much." She left the living room and proceeded to the kitchen while the second twin came over at a walking pace.
Dinner was served later that night with most of the Weasley family present, safe for Bill and Charlie whom were studying abroad while the remainder of the children staying with their parents. Percy Weasley was, as always, first at the table, finishing his essay for his university class while Fred and George goofed off nearby, playing catch with their own set of rules, while Ron and Ginny were busy outside with their friend Harry, a neighbourhood child who often came to see them.
"Fred, George, have you both finished your class work?" Percy asked, firmly closing his notebook and placing it in a special bag. "You know you'll end up as dropouts if you go on like you do." He commented smugly, knowing his grades were far superior to the two he deemed menaces. "I know your Professor Barnhart's course isn't easy. You both should be studying more." Fred and George rolled their eyes at the comment.
They were in their first year at the local university, while Percy was in his 3rd and ahead of all of his coursework. "Percy, leave them be." Their father calmed stated from his chair in the corner, paper in hand.
"Thanks dad, at least someone appreciates us!" George smiled proudly and made a face at Percy. Before either could say another word, their father bent the newspaper, revealing his face.
"But don't turn in any work late, you hear? Punishment if you do." Percy picked up his things and left leaving the rest of them there. If he had stayed any longer, he would have caught the wink his father had sent the twins, causing them to grin widely. "Though make sure your grades are higher than a 75, boys." Both boys nodded in unison, knowing it wouldn't happen, but they were happy their father was on their side. "Also, I'm picking you both up tomorrow, no need to take the transit home." Their father folded the paper, placed it on the coffee table and went to the kitchen while Fred and George sat on the couch, thinking of what they would watch for the remainder of the evening.
"You think it's going to be a good year, Gred?" Fred asked his brother as he surfed through the channels one by one.
"Definitely Forge. It's always a good time with us around."
What do you all think of it so far? I know things haven't kicked off so far and I'm trying to get back into typing, but I am getting straight to work on the next chapter! I've been working on several future chapters and they're coming out very nicely so I can't wait to post those when time comes 3
