Revenant Pov:
"After six months of being in class, dealing with large reptiles. A return of vampires from the wolf den, to that of dealing with the fact that I had a relapse of becoming a mindless hulking zombie that almost hurt my friends as well my girlfriend. Things seem alright, luckily Brit was able to clear up with the mayor as well of what happened during the incident. As well let me pass my grade, I seriously didn't take the account of my Z band being stolen by a football coach to power up a suit of armor. Though that's all over, now it's time for a summer of peace and relaxation. Which is what I thought was going happen, until my friend as well slash mentor. Night wing, dragged me out as well Wynter following me in a small sparring session."
Forbidden Forest
Within the forest was a peaceful like atmosphere, in a small spot where the trees blocked off the sun as well having most of the environment cast into shadows. In the middle of the spot was that of the fruitpire Night wing. Who had his feet in a attention stance, as well having that of some tea. He was steadying himself as well relaxed his nerves and breathing. It felt like a perfect spot for him, however. He was having a small sparring fight with his pupil Revenant and Wynter, across the tree's was the two keeping quiet as well not saying a word trying to be stealthy like.
"Tell me Rev, how exactly do you handle a gorgon without killing it?"
Asking the zombie a question to which from the side of his coat, was a small dagger. Hurling it to the right side, it went directly to the bark where Revenant was at. Not going hide again, Revenant rushed out deciding to take him head first. Grabbing that of a log by the side, he uses his strength to try to whack the fruitpire. However Night wing moved quickly as well held the cup in his hand.
"Always have a pair of dark shaded glass's on you. Never look at the face, as well go for the under belly."
The zombie responding to the fruitpire's question, to which it was correct. Moving side to side, Nightwing pulled out his sword and sliced the wooden log down the middle. Dropping it, Rev gripped his knuckles preparing for anything. As well tried to hit him with his fists.
"Correct, what if it's occupied by several flying creatures. Such as gargoyles?"
Night wing asking that of another question which seemed tricky, so far while Revenant was studying normal like studies at school. Here, when he was with Night wing had to study creatures from different parts of the country. To which they had a set of rules, as well that of ways to handle them.
"That's only if the gorgon is located in their homestead, due to how Gargoyles can't leave their homes. So, if I had to fight them. I would move the battle outside, where they couldn't reach me."
Answering him again which was correct, it seemed that his teachings weren't forgotten. Let alone of how while he was living a normal life, it was good for him to know these things just in case for whatever might happen. Now it was time for something challenging.
"Name five plants that can repel evil spirits, alphabetical order."
Giving him a surprise question which was a hard, herbs was that of plants which could help off keep dark spirits away from people. However he couldn't remember some due to the moment of dodging Night wing's sword.
"Oregano, Rue, Rosemary and Thyme..."
Listing them one by one, however trips to the ground forgetting one of them. Aiming the tip of his sword at Revenant, the glass's wearing zombie looked upwards seeing that of a sight which could be considered another herb which Nightwing might not expect.
"Wolf's bane."
Adding one last herb before coming from the tree's, was that of Wynter using her moonstone to let loose her wolf abilities. Roaring towards Night wing, he back flips away from Wynter's attack as well saw how she tried to slash him with her claws. Moving back as watching her footwork, he shoulder pushes her towards Revenant as he catches her.
"Impressive, Revenant acts like the shield making me wear down. While Wynter comes down like sword, trying to strike. Quite the couples move."
Complementing both Rev's and Wynter's attack, the two merely smiled a bit as well tried to not get distracted. The two rushed the bat like male as well throwing fists towards him, both of them combined made it a challenge for Night wing to deal with.
"It be much better if we could attend that pool party that all our friends are at!"
Wynter spoke out while still enjoying herself in the training since it allowed her to not hold back. Though she was still just a teen wolf, along should enjoy spending time with her pack as well of being with Revenant. Who himself should have time to enjoy being normal for once, right now going through the zombie's mind. Was how right Wynter was, which meant he wanted to end this quick.
"While that may be true, summer is never a time for relaxation. There's always something to do, as well a town to protect in which you made a promise. Correct?"
Asking the zombie, as Revenant took the chance and deliver a strong left hand hook to Night wing's rib as well grabs him by the stomach. Lifting him up, the zombie boy lifts him up and body slams him to the ground. Wynter, was shocked to see how the zombie moved that quick as well delivering that aggressive attack. Night wing, was surprised about the move as it had to come from Waylon. Dusting himself off, Revenant helps him up.
"Also, I wanted to have a life here in Seabrook which didn't revolve me training twenty four seven. Plus, I want to enjoy a day with my friends and girlfriend."
He spoke to Night wing as well smiled to Wynter, in which she blushed a bit at the comment. It was always good to hear how he cared for her, though she kept it hidden so that Night wing didn't notice. Cleaning off his sword, he sheathes it back into the holder.
"Even if that's true, it's important that your prepared for anything. As well keeping a better eye, on this when you want to relax."
Night wing pointing out to his Z band to which he had forgotten how it was a important device to help keep his inner zombie in check. Rev, looking at it merely nods agreeing with him. Whenever he felt angry or rather have his patience tested by people who try to visit and cause trouble. He felt like loosing control, or rather want to see how far he would go to protecting this place.
"Well at least they know not to do it on the first day of summer. It's relaxation time."
Wynter speaking out as well cheering up the moment which Revenant was glad to hear, Night wing. Merely sighs at how the two wanted to attend the pool party. The three decided to head off as well that at the right moment, Rev's phone begun to ring to which it was Brit. The zombie reasoning out on how that while he did studied up on human history, he also studied up on the supernatural along of how most creatures would be drawn to that of the best of seasons. Summer, was that of the aggressive and hostile like. In which some of them were just hoax. The three continued to make it back to that of the Big House. Heading inside, most of the creatures as well individuals they were able to take down were sent back to their homes as well were given any items that could help them on their way.
"Yeah, I just don't get why anyone wants to come to Seabrook and try to start trouble, sure the humans are a bit well. Bothering, but it isn't so bad."
Wynter applying on why there shouldn't be a reason why Seabrook should be getting this much hostility, so far while it did have a bad history with zombies. The town has accepted it's strange like past, as well still cooping with sharing it with several individuals that aren't humans. Though in the exception of the beings in the big house who tried to use the town's kindness for their own crimes, were locked in here.
"Unless you count Bucky that is."
Rev taking the chance to making a joke about Addison's cousin who still thought of himself as the prime example of cheerleading, let alone the most popular guy in Seabrook with how flamboyant his moves were. Plus how he was a bit frighten of zombies and monsters, though he didn't show it. Soon enough, they came by seeing that of Brit. The now leader of Sentinel who was gathering that of some pool items.
"Glad you all came back from your spar practice. I texted you about that whole sighting to see if you noticed but. Knowing that look, means we're in the clear."
She told her as well seeing that whenever something might happen, Brit would have Sentinel checking out. However now with the summer here, she could take the chance to enjoy the moment with her friends. The fruitpire merely cross's his arms at how they were all taking this season for granted.
"While that might be true, it doesn't exactly.."
Before the mentor could express how they should be ready, Brit handed him that of a swimsuit for the pool which would cover most of his body. He looked away a bit embarrassed about the clothing, to which the others couldn't help but chuckle at the sight. On the side was Wynter, who couldn't help but rest her head by her boyfriend.
"So, maybe after the pool party. Do you want to go out for a night walk? Tonight is a full moon and the pack will be going out for a run. Maybe we could have a race?"
Wynter suggesting that after the party, Willa would take the pack out for a roaming of the forest as well across the neighborhood. Rev nodded seeing how it be good to try and hang out with Wynter and learn much more from the pack seeing how they were together now. Getting their supplies, Brit looked at the three ready for the pool party.
"Now, can we try to act like regular teenagers and possibly seventeen thousand year old bats?"
Brit asking them all to which both Revenant and Wynter nodded, Night wing however got annoyed at how she headed to get moving before the day was over. Checking to the side as well grabbing that of his hat, the four soon decide to head out of the building as well head back into town to join up with the others at the party they worked hard for the start of summer.
Later at the public pool
Everything was going swell, the students from the school was enjoying themselves. Along of how with no more assignments and anything else, everyone could take it easy. Zed, was enjoying the sun as well how that after this he could have a football practice with his teammates. However, before he could turn to see Addison. He saw none other than Pup. Zoey's zombie dog, it was panting in front of him as well begun licking his face.
"Easy Pup easy."
He spoke out as well couldn't help but laugh at the large dog. Walking over to the side was that of Zoey, who smiled at her brother along of came here by herself. As well had that of some company, which was Revenant and the others who caught up with her when they came here.
"That's the first summer licking Zed. Pup's been waiting to save it."
Zoey explaining that the dog was waiting for the right moment to give some love to Zed, the football player smiled as well got up and shook hands with Revenant. Thinking that he wouldn't come to the pool party he helped make.
"Glad you made it without getting a few bruise marks, could say that about myself from football practice."
He joked with Rev about how the two had their own type of training sessions, while Zed's workout involved running and learning to deal with tackles. Rev had to study on ancient creatures as well ways of the old ways which needed that of special herbs and ingredients to hold them back.
"Well maybe you should stop by at the Big House, might give you a real workout."
Rev responding back to him as they all walked over to their own relaxation spot. They saw Addison as well the others hanging out, to which they settled in. Eliza, was checking out on her phone to which she sighs in a bothered like manner from what she got.
"Queen won't be coming, apparently she and the insectoids will be working on their hive. Let alone of how she's training to be it's actual, Queen."
The zombie girl explaining about how their ant friend was busy with her own agendas such as working to become the next hive queen. A lot of things would be happening in the summer, as well everyone would do their own types of hobbies. Night wing, pulled out that of a small book about of withstanding normal people while soon enough hearing some gloating.
"Make away for the cheer captain my people!"
Spoke out none other than Bucky, who he and the rest of his cheer squad came in as well made that of a flashy like entrance. Everyone was used to this, while Revenant sighed at this let alone tried to not say anything due to how he still could be sometimes annoying. Addison, merely chuckled at the sight along of patting him on the shoulder.
"This is a party day, and you did help make it. Enjoy it, as well that after this. The rest of the summer will be involved with so many things to do, Zed has been working on a plan right?"
The cheerleader turning to her boyfriend about the activities they can do for the summer, from visiting the movies. Heading to the beach, as well numerous other things they could all do together. Coming over, was Waylon who had gotten several fruit drinks for the gang as well seating himself by the pool with his feet resting in the water.
"Maybe instead of doing normal activities like dull sheep. We should possibly do something that's worth more, thrilling? Maybe some rock climbing or traveling into the deeper parts of the Forbidden forest?"
The beta wolf suggesting on how that they should do something that's exciting and not normal, everyone chuckled at the mention as well how it seemed fun. Zed, thinking about it would sound interesting. However they would still try to stick with the list he made which he had time working on after the finals he took.
"Well let's get past the few things on the list. And if possible we can head out to the forest, all I know is this. With what's happened, both good and somewhat. Freaky, this summer is going rock."
Zed announcing as well wrapping a arm around Addison, to which the two cheer as well the others at how things were going be fun and exciting. Night wing looked at all of the young adults spending each second with one another. Something he missed long ago when he's clan was taken about by Quill, while they weren't his old family. They were a family none the less, which made him want to prepare Revenant and the others to make sure nothing tried to split up or harm the family.
Night time-Addison's Neighborhood
The night had come along of a full moon, Addison had gotten home after the pool party the team had. It was a long hour of cleaning up the place since it was there idea to host it, she got home tired as well needing a good night's sleep. Heading to her room, Addison got into her normal pajamas as well prepared herself for bed. Just as she was about to sit in bed, her phone began to rang. In which she goes to answer it, which it was Bree.
"Hi Addison! Did you see the video of the pool party? It's hilarious."
Her best friend asked to which she didn't know about to her relaxing by the edge of the pool. Looking at it in the text, the video showed Bucky trying wow the crowd with his fashion sense. Let alone trying to show off near the wolves who were preparing to dive in. However, he bumped into Waylon who was having a smoothie. It caused him to growl at Bucky, soon enough he slips into the pool and right onto a float in the pool. She couldn't help but chuckle at the humor, as well that he wasn't hurt.
"Bucky is right now panicking thinking how he might have wolf hair on his body since the wolves were at the pool."
Bree spoke on how Bucky while still trying to look bold and charismatic, was a scaredy cat when it came to close contact with zombies or werewolves.
"Well he'll get over it. He's going try and do performances to get more attention from the rest of town. Me? I'm just getting some sleep, but not before I get something to eat. I'll call you tomorrow Bree."
Addison informing her about how while this seemed humiliating, Bucky would get back up and try to make sure people loved him. The two saying their goodbyes, Addison hanged up and decided to head downstairs for small night snack. Making sure her parents didn't wake up, Addison heads to the kitchen and makes herself a sandwich.
"Just a small snack before sleep."
Telling herself as well making sure she gets a beverage, however before she could. There was scuffling like sound outside, Addison looked in the backyard thinking it might have been a cat. However, it made a louder sound. Getting curious, the girl walked over and opened the sliding door that lead her to the backyard.
"Hello?"
She called out quietly as well try to see what made the sound. Keeping cautious, she decided to turn her flashlight on her phone to shine the light. Looking across the side, Addison noticed by the side of her fence was a few scratched markings. They looked like claw marks, noticing near the garbage cans was that of a groaning sound.
"Are you ok?"
Addison thinking that it was either a werewolf who had gotten hurt or someone that was injured. However upon walking towards the garbage can, the groaning soon turned to that of a wicked chuckle.
"My lady was right to tell me you had a good heart, I could smell from your home."
Spoke that of a rough British like accent, standing up Addison moved back to see a large like male. Not human for sure, but had that of two tusks. Dark blue skin as well having the appearance of a boar, it had on metal gauntlets as well that of a ridged like jacket. It snorted it's nose at her making Addison move back.
"Your quite the dame, don't see the interest in you."
The boar like creature asking sounding obnoxious as well snorting like a boar, Addison. Kept her ground not trying to show any fear, but was somewhat petrified on the inside.
"You said lady, what do you mean by that?"
Deciding to question the strange creature's sentence, to which made the boar chuckle at how she wasn't trying to have him frighten her. He kept a good eye on making sure she didn't leave.
"Why my mistress has heard of you, as well your little monster hunter. She's very keen on your visit to Suburbia. But, I think I might just take ya instead. Saves me the hassle."
Looking at her close as well pushing her against the wall, Addison. Keeping her phone close, slowly went to her camera as well increased the bright light. Taking the moment, Addison puts her camera in front of him. The boar creature looked confused but soon was blinded by the light, making him move back squealing. He hears her footsteps. Running at her at full force, he corners her at the entrance as well didn't let her escape.
"You almost blinded me, gotta punish ya now."
Showing his sharp teeth as well getting close, however he heard that of a interrupting cough. Addison, noticing on the side of who it was. She smiled making the creature confused, soon enough he gets hit by that of a trash can lid. The force from the punch caused him to lose a dusk, along of making his face sizzle in pain. The boar moved back holding the side of his broken tusk. Addison, looking to see that of Revenant. Who's amulet glowing green at how there was something going on, along of how it was fortunate enough to get here.
"Iron, well known weakness to some monsters. Also, I was with the wolves."
Explaining to Addison about how the iron lid hurt her, plus the fact that he told her and the others about spending some time with the pack. The boar, shaking off the burning sensation, looks at the zombie and roars at him.
"You'll pay for this you wanker!"
He shouted to Revenant as he pulled out his revolver. Aiming it at the chest of the creature, he wasn't afraid to shoot him. Soon enough they heard some muttering as well curious humans who heard the ruckus. The boar, moved back looking upset and having a vengeful like look on his face.
"Just wait, the survivor will have her revenge on this pathetic town."
Talking to the two as well making a run for it back into the shadows, Revenant. Was going to give chase until Addison's parents came out, putting his revolver away. It seemed both a bad scene for a zombie to be here with a human girl. He decided to stay as well explain what happen, however for Addison. She was questioning the creature's motive, 'Suburbia'? A possible boss? There had to be a explanation behind this, though she didn't know if the answer would be subtle for her as well the others when she explained what just happened.
