 Author has written 40 stories for Sherlock. I have been writing fan fiction since the 1960's, my teenage years, when 'The Man from UNCLE' was the inspiration for my creativity. Of course, back then, there was no World Wide Web through which to share one's stories so no one had ever read my work but me. It was a revelation for me to learn that other people like to write back stories for their fictional heroes and I enjoyed reading these for many months. Thanks to the encouragement of johnsarmylady, I decided to submit my first 'Sherlock' fan fic in 2012 and the rest is history! My stories are mostly - and unashamedly - Sherlolly, they are nearly all in the same Sherlollyverse and I sometimes refer to incidents that occurred in previous stories, so apologies to anyone who wonders what I'm going on about! And watch out for SPOILERS, if you read the stories out of sequence! However, if you want to read them in the right order, the sequence for my Sherlolly Saga is: Life After Death - A Post-Reichenbach Trilogy: Part One - Aftermath; Part Two - Consequences; Part Three - Unfinished Business. Demon Mother Love The Other Woman Loose Ends Gold Stolen Fatal Breath Holmes for Christmas Until Death Grounded Quiet Sunday Juror Number Twelve Hive Minded My Kidlock fic, Genesis, is also set in this AU: the events of my Adlock, The End of the World, are referred to in The Other Woman and Loose Ends, so it is sort of part of the Saga, too. Case Insolvent is a multi-chapter fic, post-TFP, so not part of my Sherlolly Saga but definitely Sherlolly in its own right! My other stories are all one shots and not part of the AU - except for Guilty Pleasure, in which Molly is a Benedict Cumberbatch fan and Sherlock is jealous...but that's just a bit of fun! My stories are nearly all case-fics and strongly plot driven. I like to write gritty, realistic dramas where the action is interspersed with glimpses of Holmsian domesticity, which often consists of rather a lot of fluffiness! However, I take my inspiration from real life and, in real life, bad things happen so I touch on some pretty grown-up topics, including violent death, drug abuse, abduction, torture and serious sexual assault. For this reason, most of my stories are M rated. But none of this gritty content is ever gratuitous, it is always integral to the plot and I give trigger warnings for chapters which contain scenes that some people may find upsetting. So if you don't like that sort of thing, you can easily avoid it. I also like to include political and current affairs references in my stories to ground them in the real world. So my characters will often discuss topics of the time but it's usually for context and not integral to the plot. Now, some BORING HOUSEKEEPING:- I do not own any the ACD or BBC canon characters. They belong to ACD, MG, SM, ST and the BBC. Neither do I own any of the quotes or references I use, from whichever sources. They belong to the original sources. I do, however, own all my OC's and all my original words, plots and creative ideas and I WITHHOLD THE RIGHT of anyone to reproduce, quote or publish them, except for the purpose of a review, unless they first seek my permission AND recognise me as the source. Phew! Glad I got that out of the way! No one pays me to do this. Writing fan fiction is my guilt-free pleasure. I love to write about the things that inspire me and - amazingly - people seem to enjoy reading what I write! It is great to be able to share my passion with all of you.
