Night wing Pov:
"It's that time of month again, October. For a while in Seabrook I've grown a custom to the humans unique personality as well hosting impressive events. The one that Addison talked about, this 'Fall Ball' involves of another holiday most people consider to be fun. Halloween, which for most individuals such as myself and Brit. Are on high alert due to this is the month of evil, and all things dark as well forbidden desire to come back and wreck havoc. A bit dramatic, but the truth all the same. Lately after the dance hall when Bucky invoked a vengeful ghost to show him the proper means of a dance, things have settled. Which is why for something like this, we all need be prepared. Especially when it comes from the least expected."
Forbidden Forest-Afternoon
In the forest where most people would never dare venture, the werewolves in the den were right now resting with the long day they had at school. Most of them were tired from the classes they had, as well the lectures that were given to them. Though for Willa, the pack leader herself was yawning of how boring it was.
"Well, that was a couple of hours I won't get back. How a moon rotates? The pups here know that when they first catch their first prey."
She called out as both her brother, and pack mate Wynter. As they themselves knew about the moon's rotation, they headed towards there rock like beds to relax a bit. Along hearing some walking, making a thump left to right. It was Waylon as his eyes looked tired and asserted of energy.
"Their humans. What you expect? They require heat and electricity to maintain themselves."
The beta wolf speaking out as he walked to the side and going to roll up in a ball to sleep. For Wyatt, he had in his bag some snacks from the school along several of flyers for upcoming events.
"I don't know about you two, but for me? Going to school means a lot of free stuff. Plus food as well. So I consider a win for half of us."
Willa's brother speaking out at how it wasn't all that bad and dull, for the alpha she rolled her eyes trying to relax. While on the side was Wynter, who was right now texting to Revenant about plans for tonight.
"A football game? I thought that was Zed and Addison's thing? Ours was hanging out at the big house or doing some strolls at the beach."
Wynter texted to him as her zombie boyfriend apparently was needed for tonight to help out with Zed and the football players. It apparently was important, waiting for a response of Revenant. She noticed a new message box coming up which showed his response.
"Trust me, it wouldn't be for a good reason. Especially when it involves showing off to Bucky. And that right now it seemed worthwhile cause it's to start off the football season."
Reading the text due to how in the school, there was a match coming up between the deadly piranha and might shrimp. And Addison came up with something due to the announcement of Fall Ball event coming up.
"Still. Why couldn't I be involved? Does it require only zombies?"
Wynter texting back of how she or the other wolves couldn't participate in the activity. Or rather they weren't informed about the participation. Noticing a wait bubble, she soon saw a response come up.
"Addison has plans for the wolves, this is just a welcoming since this is the first fall ball to attend since we were busy with that whole 'vampire' ordeal."
Informing her that this was also for the werewolves to enjoy, in which they would be helping out in a bit. Thinking about it, Wynter could enjoy seeing her zombie boyfriend perform for her. Since she never exactly seen him participate with the mighty shrimps for a while.
"Ok. But it better be amazing if it has me sitting and watching you have all the fun."
Wynter texting him back as well showing a wolf symbol, seeing his response. It showed a zombie hand giving her a thumbs up proving it would be amazing. Wynter smiled at the sight, along noticing the others who saw her texting to her boyfriend.
"I still can't believe it's been this long since you've been with Rev. He must have quite the personality to keep you this entertained."
Willa making a joke in which Wynter merely blushed a bit, seeing how out of the pack. She herself would try to be the toughest one, though only making herself rather cute. The others chuckled a bit seeing how they were able to tease her a bit.
"He should. It's considered a privilege to be dating a wolf like Wynter in a back like yours. It's good that he entertains her, shows he could offer her anything she requires."
Waylon stating it like if it was the same as normal wolves, in which while the female would stand by to help with hunts and support the male wolf for whatever might happen. The male would also provide much more as well do his best to assure the female would be treated fairly as well like if she was a queen.
"He's just my boyfriend. As well a good one since this is for everyone."
Wynter responding to both them as well trying to feel he was spoiling her with something amazing. Though on the inside she was screaming since the last time Addison saw him on the football team, it involved tackling some football players. So maybe he might do the same in her sight, a rather amazing sight to see.
"Well when is the game? It should start in a couple of hours. Maybe it be interesting to get something special for the event."
Wyatt offering him some ideas on how if the zombies and cheerleaders were going do something. Then they should return the favor as well, in which Wynter took a moment to think about what he said.
"I got it! I know just what to bring."
Calling out as well thinking about what to bring to the others to show just for the event. Heading out of her bed, Wynter rushed over to the side of the wall. Pulling a rock from the side, she reached her hand inside to bring out a small pouched bag hidden safely from the others.
"Where exactly were you hiding that, as well what is it exactly?"
Willa questioning her friend seeing how she never kept up to what Wynter finds. Let alone anything she hid from them, smiling at her friends. It appeared to be something that she was saving for a special occasion.
"It's some special rocks that were found in the den. It could be good to bring a bit of home over to Seabrook."
Explaining to them how she found a certain set of rocks that could be used for decorations. As Willa was going ask about what the rocks looked like, her phone was going off as she took a look at it to see what was up.
"Well I thought maybe we could bring over some of our carved art we did. I think Walton's could look quite well for the set."
Wyatt making a suggestion of what to bring, in which on the side of their room was a carved rock of Waylon which showed a carven image of a proud werewolf howling towards the moon. The beta werewolf merely huffed at the thought as he didn't expect many people in the pack to admire it so.
"Better bring it along just for safe keeping. Cause Addison just sent us the invite for the game, we should get going."
Willa telling them how the game was going start, in which they would have to get going to see what was prepared. Wynter, kept the bag close to her as well followed them to see what was about to happen. Along with Waylon, who decided to carry his rock carven since he wouldn't mind showing it to Addison she was the one human he's considered a friend compared to everyone in the whole town.
Seabrook Football field-Night Time
The night had come at the football field, in which everyone from town had gathered to watch the game. Right now on the might Shrimpy side was the football players in the tunnel, who were right now cleaning their helmets. Zed, looked outside seeing the bleachers full of people as well his dad and little sister.
"Don't you miss this Rev? The roaring of the crowd? The people cheering for you, and most of all. The feeling of winning a game?"
Zed asking him in which on the side of the wall, was Revenant as he didn't expect to be back in a football uniform. Looking at his helmet along noticing outside of how many people would be watching them.
"Yeah. And also watching Bucky try and do a triple summer vault and have the people go crazy. I do miss that alright."
Rev responding a bit sarcastic like let alone of remembering how he was doing something for the monster society since it was involved with the Fall Ball that was coming up. Zed, being his friend tapped him on his shoulder pad trying to get his friend in the mood.
"Alright boys bring it in!"
The coach called out in which the players looked at their coach, who was now finally back to doing what he knew best. How to lead a group of foot players against a team.
"So what Zed told me was that there was something special happening before the game. As well how half of you were able to practice it. So when that's all over, I want you to remember the plays. And don't let these piranha's get to you. Even though they have a reputation for most tackled players."
Stating how while he was training them, Addison as well Zed also taught half of them a special set of training just for the moment. As well making the moment a bit upsetting at the end with their opponents being rather dangerous.
"But don't let that discourage you, we're the mighty shrimp! We handle anything, so let's go get ready!"
Shouting out to them along of getting them ready, Zed smiled at the team and Rev. In which the special zombie took a deep breath seeing how this would be handled, would be rather unique than any other football game. Right outside in the field was Addison and the cheerleaders, as she was able to do a quick performance for the crowd to get them warmed up. Requesting a microphone, one of the cheerleaders rushed over and handed one to her.
"Thank you everyone for attending the start of the mighty shrimp season!"
Addison spoke out threw the microphone as well seeing everyone cheer for the moment, let alone feeling the excitement from the people. In the bleacher was the wolf gang, which had Willa waving to her as well the others in which it was going be amazing for them to watch the show.
"To start it off, the monster society which I and a handful of fantastic fiends of mine will help make for everyone to enjoy. So while we're working on that, I'm here to show you what's to come from the event. Hit it Bonzo!"
She spoke out as well clapping her hands for the ground to get ready. In which the audience did so, along of how Bonzo was leading the marching band. Who was in a band leader uniform as well with his horn, playing it loud as well having the band play by his side. He had the drummers and the other horn players sync with his blowing, the crowd watched at how he had everything in sync. Soon enough, they stood in position letting Zed come out without his helmet on as well raising it in the air having the crowd cheer for him.
"Zombies back, coming back, running back and rushing back. That's a fact, throw it back. Throw it back."
Zed singing as well waving to the people, in which he did a signal for the other football players. In which they all rushed out in a excited manner. As the football players came out, the audience cheered for them as well how they all had their helmets on covering their faces for them.
"And this one is for the champions! We ain't lost since we began, yeah. Funny how you said it was the end, Then we went did it again."
He stated as the players quickly got into that of asynchronized dance, each of the football players followed Zed's exact movement. As well doing it in a football manner showing off their skill and being dominate, the crowd clapped for them on this special type of show just before the game.
"I told you long ago, on the road. I got what they waitin' for. I don't run from nothin', dog. Get your soldiers, tell 'em I ain't layin' low."
Moving from side to side, they made sure to impress the crowd. In the bleachers was the werewolves who were bobbing their heads at how the music worked with their dancing.
"You was never really rootin' for me anyway. When I'm back up at the top I wanna hear you say. He don't run from nothin', dog. Get your soldiers, tell 'em that the break is over."
Zed raising his helmet in the air, along of moving to the side as several football players were pushing one of their own. In which that player quickly pushed them all away, as well removing his helmet. Which it was none other than Revenant, to where it was his turn.
"Need to, Need to get this win. Need a couple number ones. Need a score on every win. Need me like one with human now. Tell them ghost, "I don't see ya". I'm a move like werewolf. I don't mess with the normal, I'm more of the unnatural!"
Finding the right words to describe himself in the moment and anything else that tried to get the better of him. Along of coming up with some words to make him sound tough, in which from how he was singing. It made the people cheer for him for the singing he was doing.
"oh, let's do it. I ain't fall off, I just got up and ready to move it. And now everybody tryna get me, You call me mad, but the graves call me Revenant."
Doing a chest beating with one fist, as well raising his helmet in the air getting the team to circle around him. In which they did so in a circle, surrounding him completely. They all begun hitting their armored shoulder pads making their own beat.
"And this one is for the champions! We ain't lost since We began, yeah. Funny how you said it was the end, then we went did it again."
Speaking out as Zed rushed to the side doing a fist bump with him, the two looked at the crowd as well had the football team dance with the pair as they copied their movement.
"I told you long ago, on the road. I got what they waitin' for. I don't run from nothin', dog. Get your soldiers, tell 'em I ain't layin' low."
As they continued the song, from the side was none other than Shrimpy. In which the mascot rushed to their side joining with the dance, the sight of the school mascot joining the zombies made them lose it of how Shrimpy was beloved by almost everyone.
"You was never really rootin' for me anyway. When I'm back up at the top I wanna hear you say. He don't run from nothin', dog. Get your soldiers, tell 'em that the break is over."
The two zombie boys singing as well letting Shrimpy do some of his well known dance moves. As they let the mascot do so, one of the football players broke out of formation. It got everyone confused about the player getting out, along removing his helmet. To which it wasn't a football player, it was Brit. The top girl who runs Sentinel and helps Revenant with handling the strange and unusual in Seabrook, which had people shocked to see her in a uniform and participating.
"My track record so clean. They couldn't wait to just to see me. I must be gettin' too flashy. Y'all shouldn't have let the world gas me. It's too late 'cause I'm here to stay. And these boys know that I'm nasty, I sent them back to their girlfriends. With a bruise from my backhand!"
Brit singing off as well noticing several football players coming up to try and impress her. However she whips her hair making them move back not interested in them. The audience laughed at her along how what Brit did was unique, in which as she continued her singing. She pulled out a yo-yo of hers and began doing tricks with it.
"City talkin', we takin' notes. Tell 'em all to keep makin' posts. Wish they could but they can't get close, my parents so proud of me that they chokin' up while they makin' toasts. I'm the type that you can't control. Said I would then I made it so."
Doing a couple of special tricks with her yoyo, she had it spinning across the ground moving left to right. The football players moved back as the length of her yoyo's were moving far, in which made it much more fantastic to watch.
"I don't clear up rumors, Where's y'all sense of humor? I'm done makin' jokes 'cause they got old like baby boomers Turn my haters to consumers I make vets feel like they juniors." Say your time is coming' soon but just like Suburbia."
Referencing the town that was considered a neighbor to Seabrook, which feel into darkness. Soon enough, Brit removed her football gear showing off a new type of clothing. It was of a long sleeve jacket with a Sentinel symbol on the front, let alone some jeans. The sudden change made everyone shocked off the quick change, let alone of how fast she got her uniform off.
"Mine is comin' sooner. I'm just a late bloomer, I didn't peak in high school, I'm still out here gettin' cuter. All these social networks and computers got these people walkin' 'round like they ain't losers."
Looking at the deadly piranha's, she teased them a bit along the zombies in which they did a frightening like stance. In which it was for fun, lining up for the final moment. Zed and Revenant stood side by side with her along the rest of the football players, ready to finish their song for the crowd."
"I told you long ago, on the road. I got what they waitin' for. I don't run from nothin', dog. Get your soldiers, tell 'em I ain't layin' low."
Singing out together along of having Shrimpy stand with them, in which the four were able to dance together along the rest of the team. The audience watched at how the performance was wrapping up, along on the side was Bonzo. Who had the band play much more louder to start the game off in a zombie manner.
"You was never really rootin' for me anyway. When I'm back up at the top I wanna hear you say. He don't run from nothin', dog. Get your soldiers, tell 'em that the break is over."
Raising their fist in the air, they finished the song along making a pose. With the finishing move, the crowd cheered out loud for the performance as well how it went. The werewolves on the bleachers let out a howl for how amazing it was, Rev saw in the stands was that of Wynter waving to him. In which he wanted to do something special, removing his mighty shrimp shirt. He threw it towards her as Wynter caught it, along was gasping at how the scent of him was on it.
"Bet he's been planning that for a while."
Willa telling Wynter about how Rev might have been thinking about handing his shirt to her, while she told her friend. Wynter was merely holding the shirt tightly, not saying anything but smile. In which soon enough, her attention went to the game as they all watched the match between the mighty shrimp and deadly piranha's.
Later after the game
The game finished up with the crowd leaving, along of how that it was the perfect moment for Addison to talk with some of the members of the monster society. Everyone gathered by the benches since Zed and Revenant were taking a breather from the game they had. Everyone looked at Addison seeing how she had a announcement for them.
"So I was able to talk to the principal to allow us to help host the Fall Ball. And that with the performance and win, she's more than glad enough to let us handle the decorations."
Telling them that they were in the clear to do whatever they like to make this ball however they want, in which she looked at Waylon who brought his rock carving. The beta wolf remain silent about it, along how it was going be used for the ball.
"Hope so, since how last year couldn't happen due to the vampire business. This place should be much more pleasant right?"
Wyatt asking about that when the new school year started, they went off with a strange start that involved Vanya and the awakening of her clan. So right now it should be like that, walking over to the sight. Was that of Shrimpy, in which he removed his large head that showed Night wing. Who looked tired from the performance he did along heard about the planning for the fall ball.
"Yes. With how things have been going, I had to share a couple of things with Brit. Several means of warding off evil, as well spirits who seek mischief. So for the meanwhile, we should get some sleep. Since with have a early start to get the decorations up."
Explaining to them how that they should prepare for tomorrow since they would have to get a head start in setting up the ball. They merely sigh at the comment, but sure enough smiled thinking of what kind of decorations they could set up. Night wing begun to remove the mascot uniform and placing it on the side. The others begun to head out for a good sleep, on the side was Wynter. Who was looking at the Shrimpy suit.
"Got a idea Wynter?"
Addison noticing seeing her friend looking at the suit, in which from how Wynter looked at it. She apparently had a idea, in which Wynter pulled out from her pocket that of a small pouch with her.
"Well yeah, a few days ago when I was doing some exploring in the den. I found some of these special looking rocks, and when I heard about the ball. I thought I could use these for the event."
Wynter explaining to her in which Addison took a look at the rocks, they looked like symbols. As well turning to the mascot uniform seeing how it make him look quite frightening. Nodding to her idea, the girls placed the stones on different body parts of the mascot uniform. With the rocks on Shrimpy, the two stepped back looking at the fully decorated uniform. As well see the stones cast a light purple glow.
"Wow, that's quite the glow. Did they do that in the wolf den?"
Addison asking Wynter if this ever happened before, in which she shook her head as this was a first for her. Hearing the others call out for them, the two decided to head back with their friends so they could get some rest. Leaving the Shrimpy suit by the bench, it begun twitching it's hand. As well it's eyes widening, in which whatever was going on, Shrimpy had been brought to life.
The song used for this was 'Industry Baby' by Lil Nas X, all rights to the song belong to him. Also, welcome back and happy October! Glad to be back working on the story, as well the upcoming parts of what might happen. Stay tune to see what will happen next.
