Personal Comment:

I've always read fanfiction to pass the time and entertain me when I wanted to read about some of my favorite characters. Although I never found stories that I yearned to read or found many with more pastiche than fanfiction, so I created an account and am filling in those missing stories for others to read and enjoy.

My soul goal for writing these FanFictions is to make them seem as if they were canon--the real deal. Essentially, I aim more to create pastiche than fanfiction.

For my HTTYD stories, I try to bring in a variety of other characters with Hiccup: Astrid, Snotlout, the twins, Fishlegs, Stoick, Toothless, Alvin, Dagur, maybe even Mildew or Heather. I'm not much of a romance novelist, but I will sprinkle a little here and there. My stories are mostly centered in the suspense, adventure, friendship, family, mystery, humor, and/or horror.

And as a personal note, my name is Melissa, or Missy for short.

I DON'T DO CHARACTER DEATHS (not including OCs) AND I DON'T DO SLASHES! And I very much don't like AUs.

If I want to kill an original character of mine, I will only do so if that character is minor(ex: minions; henchmen; towns folk)or holds no place in future stories(ex: antagonist or protagonist needed for a plot). I will also not be using OC's for main protagonists simply because of the common act in making them more important than the main characters themselves, an act to which so many others have done. I don't mean to be rude, but I hate skimming through the story summaries in anticipation to find a good pastiche only to see a bunch of spotlight stealing OCs. I don't care about the original characters, I came to read about the characters we all know and love.

All of my OCs are "Spare Parts", meaning they are used to fill in gaps, are not important, and will most likely die or be used once-three times and disappear.
