Author's Note: The park location is purely fictional. The couple of times I've been to LA it was pure utter chaos and it was to go to amusement parks or conventions (so, in other words, its been a while), so please just humor me that there is a nice, large park with a gorgeous marble fountain where Pride would be held and the Parade would pass by. Okay? Okay. :)
Also, Tony is Ace.

Zucchinis Are Better
There was always a first for everything, and a Pride Parade would be one of them. Had Harry never brought the event to Tony's attention, he'd honestly probably never would've noticed it. But due to a new virus that swept through the entire world (and has recently been on the mend after a year of chaos and death), outings like this were virtually destroyed.
It was still smart to be safe, and they had all been vaccinated already, the small family still made a point to stop at the first booth they came across after arriving at the park in the heart of Los Angeles where the booths, food, and stages were all set up.
Harry seemed to have carefully picked out some flag masks for all of them and grabbed a few extra for his partners, too. His own mask color choices popped against his brown skin and dark hair, and the nose wire on it kept his glasses from fogging.
"For you two," he said, handing Tony a sealed mask that had black, grey, white, and purple stripes on it.
Rhodey's was the progress rainbow pride striped one. Because Tony liked to include people he cared about in things, he easily was able to talk Rhodey into tagging along with them. Naturally, Rhodey was all for the adventure.
"What's that one?" Rhodes asked, pointing at Tony's mask.
"It's the ace flag," Harry said. "Because Dad is ace."
"How do you know?" Tony questioned, raising a brow.
Harry just gave him that knowing look that every thirteen-year-old always seemed to master.
Rhodey gave a subtle nod in agreement to this deduction, turning his own mask in hand to look at the colors. Tony did that head-tilt that he always did when he had no counter and agreed.
Donning their new masks, they weaved through the pockets of people, exploring the booths as they passed. The smell of street food quickly filled the space as they moved further in, and the bright mixture of colors grew more and more abundant that Tony swore a giant unicorn barfed all over the park and everyone and thing in it. The mental image had him smirking at the thought of a giant unicorn flying over them and doing such a thing.
They designated a meet up point with the others by a large marble fountain that was surrounded by trees and benches. It was a good spot to meet and remain out of the summer sun and stay relatively cool by the breeze from the waterfalls and mist that emitted from the fountain. Suprisingly, no one else had claimed the space. One of the streets where the parade would be coming through was on the other side, making it a good watch area as well.
Before they could get to the fountain, however, Harry insisted they stop at another booth, where he then bought both Tony and Rhodey matching T-shirts to wear. They both said; "Zucchinis Are Better" written on the chest in black, grey, white, pink, and yellow colors with a picture of two cute smiling zucchini's cuddling underneath the text. Tony chuckled as he pulled off his AC/DC shirt and replaced it with Harry's gift.
"Alright, you'll have to explain this one to me," Rhodey said.
"Definitely," Tony added, helping to keep Rhodey's white tank top from getting tangled in the plain navy shirt he removed to put on the zucchini shirt. "But I love them anyway."
Harry's eyes said he was smirking behind his mask. "It describes your guys' relationship perfectly, really."
Tony raised his brows before slowly nodding in agreement even if he didn't get it just yet. He carefully moved his mask over his mouth to toss some sunflower seeds into it before promptly replacing it.
"How do I look?" Rhodey asked, holding out his hands and doing little half-turns.
"You make anything look good, Rhodey-bear. Even with cutesy cartoon squashes on your chest," Tony said, slapping Rhodey on the back.
"You both look great," Harry said, laughing.
Tony smiled behind his mask, draping an arm around his cuddle bear and pointing at the text on the shirt with the bag of sunflower seeds still in hand, Rhodey mimicked the action, posing for Harry who was readying to take with his phone.
