"I am a Shadow… The true self… I'm just being true to myself… And that's why… I'll get rid of anything in my way!"
"Are these… Kanji-kun's true feelings?" Yukiko wondered.
"This isn't really him!" Yosuke said. "It's just his emotions going haywire!"
"This has nothing to do with you guys anymore! Didn't I just say I'm gonna get rid of you!?"
"You can try!" Chie yelled. "Mabufu!"
Her Persona shot several shards of ice out at the enemy. One of the muscular foes groaned louder than the other upon the hit.
"Alright, good shot, Chie!" Yosuke said. "My turn! Magaru!"
Jiraiya clasped his hands together, and unleashed massive gusts of wind at the enemy. While Kanji's Shadow winced at the strike, the muscular Shadows next to him simply flexed and tanked the attack.
"Oh, crap." Yosuke groaned.
"Zio!" Kyoko shouted.
Izanagi unleashed a shot of electricity at Kanji's Shadow, but to their surprise, he simply giggled as the attack did nothing.
"Mmm~!" Kanji's Shadow chuckled. "Thanks for the early dessert!"
"He can absorb electric attacks?" Kyoko realized.
"Ouch." Chie groaned. "You got the short end of the stick, Kyoko."
"Nice Guy! Tough Guy! Obliterate that twink!" Kanji's Shadow ordered.
The two muscular Shadows chuckled, before charging at Yosuke.
"Wait, what did you just call me-whoa!"
Yosuke quickly ducked to avoid getting his head taken off his shoulders. He felt the wind from the blows, and was thankful for the fact he was faster. But even then, Nice Guy and Tough Guy kept up their assault with punches and kicks.
"Hey, a little help, guys!" Yosuke yelled.
"Bufu!" Chie yelled.
"Agi!" Yukiko yelled.
The ice struck Nice Guy, while the flames struck Tough Guy, who both let out… rather erotic moans.
"Oh God, I'm gonna be sick…" Yosuke groaned, as he quickly rolled out of the way.
"Sick? I can help with that!" The Shadow boomed.
Kanji's Shadow briefly flexed, and unleashed a noxious wave of liquid-like energy. Kyoko raised her arms as it washed over her. But oddly enough, she felt… fine? It did nothing to her.
"...was that supposed to do something?" Kyoko asked.
"I feel okay." Chie said. "What about you, Yukiko?"
"I'm fine." Yukiko said. "But Yosuke…"
Said teen was on the floor, holding his stomach and coughing.
"Why… me…?" He groaned, before Tough Guy socked him in the gut and sent him rolling.
"The Shadow's only toxic to boys!" Teddie yelled. "You girls are safe!"
"Oh, not for long!" Kanji's Shadow chuckled, before it rubbed its hands and started whispering. The sound manifested into a red wave of energy, and made its way to the girls.
"What is this…?" Chie started.
Suddenly, it was like the only thing the girls could see was red.
"Losing focus…" Yukiko muttered. "Why am I…?"
"Pissed... off…?!" Chie tightened her fists.
"C-Calm down, girls!" Teddie called. "Just calm down!"
"H… Help…" Yosuke groaned, as Nice Guy kicked him across the floor.
"So… angry…" Yukiko said, as the flame in Konohana Sakuya's hands grew.
Chie was grinding her teeth as the temperature dropped around her and Tomoe.
"Stay focused." Kyoko said, her back turned to them. "Focus your attacks on the proper enemy. Use the anger against them."
"How the hell are you in control?!" Chie yelled, a little more aggressive than she would have liked.
"Experience. But it's still difficult." Kyoko said, as she turned her head to look at them. It was then they saw that there was a noticeable crease around her eyes, and that Kyoko had spoken everything through clenched teeth.
"Right…" Yukiko said, aiming a blast at Tough Guy.
"Get angry…" Chie said, as she turned to Nice Guy.
"At them!" Kyoko shouted.
"Agilao!"
"Bufula!"
"Hraah!"
Yukiko unleashed a huge burst of flames that sent Tough Guy stumbling, while Chie's burst of ice had frozen Nice Guy solid. Kyoko had delivered a devastating slash with Izanagi to Kanji's Shadow. Yosuke slowly got up, hitting his chest a few times.
"Thanks girls." He said. "I think the poison's passing."
"Stop talking and get to fighting!" Yukiko yelled at him, just as the anger effects ran out.
"Y-Yes ma'am!"
"Stay out of my way! What's wrong with acting however I feel like!?"
"Oh, just shut up!" Chie yelled. "Bufula!"
She unleashed another ice skill that froze Kanji's Shadow in place.
"Oh, if you wanna play it that way, then I'll have my boys take out my other half!"
Tough Guy spun around to put out the flames, while Nice Guy flexed and broke through the ice prison. The two of them charged at Kanji, who was still leaning against the wall, unsure of what was going on. He didn't even realize he was being attacked.
"Kanji!" Yosuke shouted, but then he saw Kyoko running towards him, tarot card ready.
"Izanagi!"
Her Persona materialized and protected the two from Nice Guy and Tough Guy.
"Y-You…" Kanji said, stunned.
"...you like to create things, is that it?" Kyoko asked.
"Yeah… so? You got a problem with that?" Kanji asked, defensively. "I can do shit like that and… still be tough."
"I'm aware of that." Kyoko said. "I think it's cute."
"...huh?"
She turned with a surprisingly soft smile. "I said it's cute, Kanji."
"C-Cute…?"
"You think that's cute?! Helloooo?! It's super DUPER cute! I love EVERYTHING cute!"
Kanji's Shadow broke through the ice with a burst of electricity that was flying everywhere. The real Kanji's eyes were hidden in shadow from all the electricity, but he slowly walked towards his Shadow self as Kyoko stepped back.
"You are soooo persistent!"
"...yup. There's no denyin' it."
"Come again?"
"I can't help it…" He broke into a run and drew his fist back. "I LOVE STUPID CUTE SHIT!"
He smashed his fist right into his Shadow self's gut, returning the favor from earlier and launching it into a wall. The resulting shockwave took out Nice Guy and Tough Guy as well, as they burst into flowers.
"JUST ACCEPT MEEEEEE!" His Shadow wailed, as it went up in flowers as well.
"Did… did he just…?" Yosuke asked.
"Yeah. He just beat up his own Shadow." Chie said.
"And without a Persona as well…" Yukiko commented.
Kanji shook his wrist after the strike, before he turned to Kyoko.
"Look… it made me happy… when you said what I like to do is cute." Kanji said. "And you didn't make fun of me for it."
Kyoko nodded. "But don't thank me just yet."
The flowers faded, and Kanji's Shadow was back in its normal appearance. It stood back up and started slowly walking towards them.
"He's come back for more!" Teddie yelled. "This guy really is unbearable!"
"Oh, somebody, anybody…" The Shadow showed off himself. "Please just accept meeee~!"
"Cut that crap out!" Kanji yelled.
His Shadow stopped in its tracks and stared at him.
"I hate that this guy's inside me…" Kanji said. "You've got absolutely no idea how freakin' embarrassing it is."
"Kanji-kun…" Yukiko said.
"It ain't about men or women." He said, stepping towards his Shadow. "I'm just scared shitless about being made fun of. I'm nothing but a big ol' coward who spends most of his time pushing people away."
Kanji's Shadow was stunned at what he was saying.
"Look, I already knew that you existed. You're me, and I'm you. That ain't some major revelation, frickin' moron."
Kanji's Shadow closed its eyes, smiled and nodded, before it glew blue. It had become a tall, powerful and mechanical-like humanoid with a metal lightning bolt as a weapon.
"It's his Persona…!" Yukiko said.
"That is definitely one macho dude!" Chie chipped in, in awe at how cool it was.
It transformed into a tarot card, and it landed in Kanji's hand.
"Takemikazuchi, huh…"
The card faded away, before Kanji fell on his back.
"Ngh, shit…"
"Kanji-kun!" Chie said, as they all ran up.
"Let's get him out of here!" Yosuke said.
Through the combined effort of Yosuke, Kyoko and Chie, they managed to lift Kanji up as they left the dungeon behind.
Stepping out of the TV, they sat Kanji down to catch his breath.
"Kanji-kun, are you okay?" Yukiko asked him.
"It's… It's nothin'..." He said. "Whoa… Ngh…"
Kanji inhaled deeply once, before letting it all out.
"Heheh… I feel great. It's like my mind's all cleared up."
"Glad to hear it." Yosuke said, as he helped him back up.
"Hey, about what just happened…"
"We'll tell you later." Kyoko told him. "Right now, it's better if you rest up."
"Yeah." Kanji rubbed the back of his head. "Figures."
"We'll be waiting for you at school." Chie said.
"School?" Kanji asked. "Sure, if I ever feel like going."
"I'll take this guy home." Yosuke said. "If anyone asks, I'll just say I found him somewhere like this."
"I'll go with you." Yukiko said. "I think it'll reassure Kanji-kun's mother if he shows up with someone she knows."
"Alright, sounds like a plan, Yukiko." Yosuke said.
The team was able to rescue Kanji. The mission was successful. Now they simply had to wait for him to recover. Kyoko watched as Yosuke and Yukiko took Kanji home.
"Hey, Kyoko." Chie asked. "You think this'll help us figure out who it was?"
"While I'm not sure what will happen, I'm sure Kanji will be able to tell us something to point us in the right direction." Kyoko said.
Kyoko was sitting down for dinner with the Dojimas later that evening. Dojima stopped eating for a moment, remembering something.
"Oh, I forgot to tell you." He said. "Remember that Kanji Tatsumi guy I told you about? You know, the one who went nuts on that news special."
"I'm aware of him." Kyoko said, choosing her words carefully. "He has quite the reputation at our school."
"Well, his family's shop called in to report him missing, but now he's been found." Dojima said. "I thought I'd let you know, since you go to the same high school."
"I'm glad to hear that." Kyoko said.
"Yeah." Dojima said. "Oh, and one other thing… Some people have seen you around that textile shop lately, I hear. It's not normally the kind of shop students normally visit. Just what kind of business did you have there?"
Kyoko thought for a moment, before speaking.
"My friend Yukiko brought me out there." Kyoko said. "I simply accompanied her on a supply trip."
"Oh, that Amagi girl?" Dojima asked. "That's right, her family's inn buys their stuff wholesale…"
"...is there an issue, Uncle?"
"Just… don't get yourself in over your head, okay?" He said.
"Alright." Kyoko said.
"...Are you fighting again?" Nanako asked, having looked up as the two panicked at the question.
The next day after school, Kyoko had joined Chie for training, before they stopped by Aiya once again.
"Steak bowl or a combo plate… the ultimate decision…" Chie pondered.
"Perhaps you could try something different this time?" Kyoko suggested. "I can't imagine eating the same meal every time you come here."
"Yeah, but I don't know if it'll taste that good." Chie said.
"Chie, I'm sure you'll enjoy anything that has meat in it." Kyoko deadpanned.
"Hey, that's… only half true…" Chie said sheepishly.
"S-Stop it…!"
The two of them heard a familiar voice, as they turned, trying to find where it was coming from.
"Shut up, dumbass." Came a tough, threatening voice.
"Yeah, that's right. We all know it's time to cough up." Came another.
There was a small pause, as they listened carefully.
"What? This is it? Quit bullshitting us."
"Th-That voice! It can't be…!" Chie realized. "Let's go, Kyoko!"
Chie ran off before Kyoko could say anything. Sighing, Kyoko gave chase, reaching a hand into her jacket and ruffling through her inner pockets. The two came to a street corner, where they saw a familiar face being confronted by some teen thugs.
"Takeshi…!?" Chie shouted.
"Hey, someone's here." One of the punks said.
"Whatever. Let's take their money while we're at it." Said the leader. "They're just chicks."
"Yeah, since this guy only had 1000 yen on him." Another punk added. "And you know chicks carry tons of money on them."
Kyoko and Chie ran up, and Takeshi quickly took cover behind them.
"Ch-Chie!" He panted.
"Hey!" One of the punks yelled.
"Whaddaya runnin' for? Gonna hide behind a girl, huh?" The leader scoffed.
"You okay, Takeshi?" Chie asked.
"I-I'm fine…" Takeshi said, though his voice was becoming more panicked by the second. "Y-You've always been good at stuff like this! Th-They took all my money. You're gonna get them for me, right!?"
"Well, it does tick me off!" Chie yelled.
Chie tightened her fists and got into a stance. "Hey, cowards! Ganging up on one guy… You oughtta be ashamed!"
"Wait a moment-" Kyoko started to say, before Takeshi cut her off.
"T-Take care of them for me!" Takeshi said, before turning around and running away.
"Uh, wow, that was fast!" Chie said. "Sheesh!"
The punk gang simply looked confused at the development, watching as Chie was in a fighting stance.
"C'mon, what's the matter?" Chie yelled. "Let's throw down!"
"Huh? What's with this bitch?" The leader said, raising an eyebrow. "Y'think you're all that? I ain't afraid to hit a girl. We'll kick your ass!"
The leader threw his fist forward. But right as Chie was about to react, there was a swift blur of lavender, as Kyoko had immediately grabbed the punk's wrist, before pinning it to his back.
"Gah! What the hell?!"
"Huh? Kyoko?" Chie asked.
"You should think twice before making yourself predictable." Kyoko said, throwing him forward and letting him stumble.
"Ugh, what a pain in the ass…" The leader groaned, rubbing his wrist.
"Yo, that guy who ran away might call the cops." One of the punks said, a bit of fear in his voice.
"He doesn't have to." Kyoko said, reaching into her coat, before pulling out her detective license. "Because I'm already here."
"The fu-?!" The leader said, stepping back. "We gotta split, boys!"
The punk gang ran away, just as fast as Takeshi ran.
"Hey, hold on! Wait!" Chie yelled after them.
"They're long gone, Chie." Kyoko said, putting away her license.
"What the heck…" Chie muttered, looking at the ground. "Running away when you step in."
Kyoko crossed her arms. "They probably won't bother anyone else, anytime soon-"
"...Why'd you butt in?" Chie asked.
Kyoko raised an eyebrow. "Excuse me?"
"What, you thought you couldn't leave it up to me!? I could've handled them myself!" Chie yelled.
Kyoko didn't respond, as Chie looked down again.
"...sorry." She apologized. "I charged in by myself… Caused you trouble…"
"It wasn't any trouble." Kyoko reassured her. "I've been in this type of situation enough times that I've grown used to it. Just take a moment to think next time."
"Yeah, thanks. I got it." Chie said, looking up. "You're right, huh? I gotta remember I'm not alone… It's always like that. Everyone's doing their best. Then I start to worry that it's all up to me… and I've gotta work harder..."
Kyoko uncrossed her arms.
"I worry that someday, I'll end up causing even more trouble, like I did today… Haha… I'm so stupid."
Kyoko could feel their bond growing, but she really didn't know what to do.
"Hey, Kyoko? Thank you." Chie said, smile on her face.
Kyoko honestly didn't know what she did, so she simply nodded.
"I need to work harder, huh?" Chie said to herself. "Why am I moping…? I'll think about it some… Though I'm not too smart!"
"Don't let Yosuke hear you say that." Kyoko said, as she started walking home.
"Oh God no." Chie laughed, walking after her. "He'd never let me hear the end of it!"
Kyoko came in, closing the door behind her as she slipped off her shoes. "I'm home."
"Oh hey, welcome back." Dojima said from the table.
"Good evening, Uncle." She said, as she poured herself some coffee.
"So... What have you been doing after school?" He asked suddenly.
"Hm?"
"Well, I was just curious." He said. "Though, I'm not sure how exactly to talk to kids your age…"
Kyoko sat down at the table with the cup in her hand. "Well, several of my friends have been showing me around Inaba. I was curious about the town's history."
"Really now?" Dojima said. "Hah, suppose the old man taught it to ya about wanting to know everything huh?"
"He did, yes." Kyoko said, taking a sip.
The silence grew, as Dojima looked like he was struggling to find something to say.
"...Whoops. This is turning into an interrogation, isn't it?" Dojima realized.
"Interrogation runs in the family, Uncle." Kyoko reassured.
"But it's not as if we have much in common... except for the murders." Dojima said. "Well, I suppose we're both detectives, but-"
"Tell me about yourself then." Kyoko said.
"About me?" Dojima asked. "Well, you're interested in the strangest things."
"I'd like to know more about my Uncle, the famous detective of Inaba." She said, a small smile on her face.
"Ah, now you're just messing with me." He said. "Me? Famous? Nope. I'm just a simple country detective living with my daughter. There's nothing about that to interest a high school kid."
"Well then, tell me about the cases you've worked on." Kyoko asked.
"Sorry, but that's classified information." He jokingly said in a stern tone, before laughing. "But you know, it really is good to have you around the house. I didn't think Nanako would be so happy. Hell, I'm tired of hearing "big sis" this and "big sis" that. Honestly, you're like a very young sister to me than my niece."
"If that's the case, would you like me to call you "big bro" then?" She asked.
"Hah, stop that! You're sending chills down my spine." Dojima let out a good-hearted laugh, before calming down. "I think it's been a while since I've laughed this much."
"Well, my friends back at Hope's Peak have taught me that laughter always helps conversation." Kyoko said, as she felt her bond with Dojima deepen.
"Well, I have to finish processing some data from work." Dojima said. "Don't hit the sack too late, you hear?"
"Actually, I could help with that." Kyoko offered.
"I appreciate it, Kyoko." Dojima said. "But it's not too much work. You should get some sleep. Again, if the opportunity does come, I will let you help, alright?"
"...alright." She said, putting her empty coffee cup into the sink. "Good night, Uncle."
"Night." He waved her off as she walked upstairs. He sighed and leaned back in his chair. "The old man really put it in her head, the idea of learning everything she can, huh?"
He stood up and stretched, ready to get to work, before he realized something.
"Oh, she drank coffee before going to sleep." He said to himself. "That's not gonna help her hit the hay…"
Sure enough, Dojima's prediction was right. Kyoko ended up waking up late that day. She was a little sleep-deprived as well. Even as she went through class, she couldn't help but feel like she was sleepwalking.
It was then Yukiko had walked up to her during lunch.
"Oh, hello Kyoko." She said.
"Hello, Yukiko."
"You have bags under your eyes." Yukiko noted.
"I'm aware. I didn't get much sleep last night." Kyoko said.
"Then shouldn't you go to sleep?" Yukiko asked.
"Believe me, I've tried." Kyoko said, pinching the bridge of her nose. "I think keeping myself awake will help me when I finally fall asleep later."
"Well, if that's the case…"
"Hm?"
"Would you like to talk for a bit after class then?" She asked. "Though, if you want to go straight home and sleep, I wouldn't blame you either."
Yukiko smiled at her, before walking off, leaving Kyoko to think. Maybe she should go meet up with her friend. It'll probably wake her up talking to someone else.
"When you wanted to talk, this wasn't what I had in mind." Kyoko said.
The two of them sat at the picnic table at the Samegawa flood plain. Yukiko had handed her a homemade boxed lunch.
"It came out well, so I packed it up. Try it out." Yukiko said.
Kyoko looked at it. It looked quite simple enough, just some rice, with eggs, vegetables and meat.
But as her years of investigation have taught her, looks could be deceiving. And sure enough, an unusually pungent smell hung in the air.
"...did you taste it?" Kyoko asked her.
"No, I haven't." Yukiko said cheerfully. "I wanted you to be the first to try it."
Now, normally Kyoko would have gone into an in-depth explanation on why one should taste their own food first. You wouldn't have to be an Ultimate Chef to know that. But… with that innocent smile on Yukiko's face, and how she had promised to be her taste tester, Kyoko realized that there was no way out of this. Picking up the chopsticks, she started with the omelette. ...or what she presumed was one. Getting a piece, she put it into her mouth, as Yukiko watched eagerly.
...Hm. Kyoko thought as she chewed. It's actually quite soft-
Her expression changed, as she bit down on something… hard? And it tasted burnt, yet also raw…?
Kyoko was wondering if her body would be able to take this, though she eventually did manage to swallow it.
Yukiko's smile was gone. "You're not about to tell me how delicious that was, are you?"
Kyoko shook her head. "There's always next time."
Maybe the Ultimate Chef could give her tips… actually, no. I'm not gonna let him meet her as long as I live. For Yukiko's sake.
"I...I suppose. Thank you." Yukiko said.
"What are you doing?"
The two looked and saw Nanako walk up to them.
"Ah, Nanako-chan." Yukiko said. "Well, I was just having her try my boxed lunch."
"Ooh, I want some!" Nanako said cheerfully.
"I-I'm sorry, but I can't give you any." Yukiko apologized. "It's not good."
Plus, I have a feeling Kyoko would end me if I ended up feeding you that. Yukiko thought, as Kyoko's deathly stare told her everything. Her baggy eyes made it all the more menacing.
"Oh." Nanako said, understanding. "If you make a good one, will you let me have some?"
"Huh? S-Sure, if you want…"
"Yay! I'm rooting for you!" Nanako said cheerfully.
"Nanako-chan…" Yukiko said. "Thank you. I'll do my best, okay?"
"I need to go now." Nanako said. "I'm going to Mai-san's house. Bye!"
"Be careful!" Yukiko called after her. Once she left, she turned back to Kyoko, who had finally let up on the death glare. "Umm, I'm sorry to drag you around…"
"Despite everything, it was fun." Kyoko admitted, as she felt her bond with Yukiko grow. "I think I'm awake now…"
"Please don't use my dud box lunches as an anti sleep supplement." Yukiko said, before putting a hand under her chin.
"That might be useful, actually." Kyoko noted. "Maybe if we take them into battle, any enemy that tries to put us to sleep would be rendered powerless. … Yukiko?"
Normally, Yukiko would have been offended, but she was deep in thought.
"Only about a year left, huh?" She said to herself. "I need to be able to do anything on my own by then…"
After handing Yukiko the rest of the boxed lunch, Kyoko had arrived back home. Dojima wasn't home yet, and Nanako had welcomed her back. Though, Kyoko noticed that the girl was pacing back and forth.
"Dad's late again today…" Nanako said.
The phone rang, and Nanako went to pick it up as Kyoko sat down at the table.
"Hello, Dojima residence." Nanako said. "Dad! … Huh?! Really!? Okay, okay. I understand."
Nanako hung up the phone, before turning around with a smile on her face.
"He's coming home?" Kyoko guessed.
"Yeah! I need to get dinner ready!" Nanako said.
Kyoko smiled at seeing Nanako in high spirits. Though she then saw Nanako's expression became worried after she opened the fridge.
"We're out of pickled radish." She said. "Dad'll be disappointed."
Kyoko knew she could make a quick trip to Junes, but she couldn't leave Nanako by herself. "We can go buy some together."
"Really?"
"Yes." Kyoko said. "I'll try talking to Yosuke and asking if he'd be able to give us a discount too."
"Thanks, big sis!" Nanako smiled, as Kyoko stood up and took her hand. "We're going shopping together!"
She could feel her bond with Nanako grow stronger as the two of them left the house.
The two of them arrived back, pickled radish in hand. While Yosuke had complained about the discount, he was able to at least knock off a few hundred yen.
"I'm back!" Nanako said.
Dojima was waiting for them on the couch.
"Dad! Welcome home!" Nanako said.
Dojima wasn't smiling, as his expression was quite stern. "Where did you go at this time of night?"
Nanako looked nervous. "Oh, um… Junes."
"Didn't I tell you not to go out this late?" He said.
"B-But you were coming home, so I-"
"No matter what your reason was, rules are rules. You promised me, remember?" He said.
Nanako looked down at the floor.
"No, that's wrong." Kyoko interjected, her voice slightly raised. "It's not Nanako's fault."
"Big sis…" Nanako said quietly. "It's not my fault? But then why is Dad angry? Why won't he listen?"
"Nanako-"
"Dad's stupid! Stupid, stupid!"
Nanako tearfully ran off to her room.
"Nanako!" Dojima shouted, standing up. "How dare you call your father stupid!"
"Uncle." Kyoko said. "Being raised in a family of detectives, I thought you'd remember to check all the evidence and witness accounts before jumping to conclusions."
"What?"
"I was the one that offered to take Nanako to Junes." Kyoko said. "She wanted to pick up pickled radish for you."
"Pickled radish… for me?" He said. "Is that so…?"
He sighed, before speaking again.
"But I still can't allow kids to be walking around this late at night." He said. "You know how dangerous it's been lately. I know you're a detective too, but you shouldn't be wandering around there at night either!"
Kyoko's eyes were shadowed by her hair, as she turned around to leave.
"Wait, I'm not done talking to you!"
"My grandfather taught me to think before I speak when I was a child." Kyoko said. "I'd have assumed that he taught you too."
"Kyoko-!"
The Ultimate Detective left for her room without another word. Dojima sighed, sitting back down on the couch.
"Was I too hard on them?" He said quietly, hoping he hadn't just drove a wedge between himself and them.
Kyoko closed the door to her room, sighing. She took out her phone, looking at a photo of herself as a child, being held up by her father. It was the only photo she had of him, but she could barely remember it. The image was bittersweet, and she couldn't help but picture Nanako in her shoes.
"Uncle… please treasure the time you have with Nanako..."
A/N: Well, that's a way to end the chapter.
Yes, I had to put in the Animation's version where Kanji punches his Shadow in the face. That's too fucking awesome to just not do.
Also, many people say that the chapters take so long? Y'all need patience.
Also, Sora's in Smash now. Holy shit.
Feel free to leave a review. See you all next time.
