CHAPTER ONE

Earth-38

Location: National City

The citizens of National City run around the city in chaos and fear, as the ground shakes violently underneath them and the sky roars with the sounds of thunder. A man walks through the chaos carrying a sign that reads "THE END IS NIGH."

"The end of the world is licking at our heels! Soon, thou shall be not but dust, twisting and writhing in the dead of space!" He shouts but his cries fall on deaf ears as the citizens continue to run to find shelter and safety despite that he continues.

"Not even Supergirl will save us from-"

The man loses his voice as a dragon-like creature appears in the sky and seems to have chosen him as it's prey.

The beast roars firing a ball of fire towards the man who cowers behind his sign only for a red and blue blur to appear blocking the fire with their cape, blonde hair and blue eyes look at the man with a glare.

"Guess Supergirl was able to save you."

The man is frozen in shock at the sight of National City's hero.

"Now, go! Run!"

Kara urges and the man nods quickly running away shouting sorry as he goes, and Kara smiles before turning back at the creature quickly recognizing him.

"Hey, Spike! Remember me? Ilana is probably worried about you, I know you're afraid of something, but she would want you to come home." Kara says gently calming Spike down, causing him to go back to his regular form.

Kara lets out a breath of relief before picking Spike up gently. "What's got you so spooked, buddy?" Kara asks concerned petting Spike before flying towards the DEO.

Location: DEO

Kara lands softly on the balcony quickly handing Spike to a nearby agent making sure that they'll bring him back to his owner, before walking up to Alex and Brainy who appear to be waiting for her.

"Every pet in National City is having a nervous breakdown, The ground is shaking and everyone is in chaos, this feels bigger than Leviathan." Kara exclaims knowing if Rama Khan had this kind of power he would have used it already. Which would leave Lena but Kara knows that even if Lena hated her, she would never intentionally endanger innocent lives.

"The USGS didn't register an early warning, so this took everyone completely by surprise." Alex explains with a slight slip of fear in her voice.

"She does mean everyone because this earthquake is quite, literally, worldwide." Brainy adds

"But the seismic activity wasn't coming from within the planet, it's coming from without."

"That's.." Kara pauses as she tries to process all of the info, disappointed that none of it helps her figure out how to stop this.

"Extra-normal?" Brainy mused

"I was gonna say "impossible," but okay."

"Yes, yes, a fair descriptor Supergirl." Brainy nodded "As would be, uh...unfeasible, unthinkable, absurd, outlandish, but however you choose to describe this event, one thing is absolutely certain, We have- "

"A major crisis on our hands." J'onn finishes as he enters the room in his suit. "I got a visit from The Monitor, he told me that it was him who freed my brother as a test for me."

"The Monitor freed Mal?" Kara says shocked, she didn't think that he would appear again, at least not on her earth ."I didn't know he was of our universe."

"Yes, I thought the Monitor was a Flash and Green Arrow's problem." Brainy agreed.

"He's of every universe and everyone's problem." J'onn declares with a serious tone in his voice as he leans against a desk. "Last year, he tested Kara and Earth-1's heroes with Dr. Deegan and the Book of Destiny; This year, he's tested me to make sure I'm ready for this.

"And what exactly is this? Another reality wave?" Kara questions as the ground begins to shake from under them.

"Not exactly!" Brainy answers headed towards the DEO screens.

"Whatever it is, it is hurtling through space at an impossible speed. I calculate it will reach the edge of the universe in exactly 5.3 hours, at which point, it will boomerang back. Once it intersects again with our solar system, the results will be, in a word, cataclysmic."

"Exactly when will it reach us?" Kara asks shakily the thought of losing Her planet flashes in her mind, the amount of people she lost, the pain she went through she doesn't know if she can survive through that again.

"Oh Rao Please not again."

"There are too many variables to calculate precisely, but I will say this. If this wave isn't stopped by tomorrow night. there will be no more us. no more future. no more anything." Brainy concluded as the ground shakes again.

"Are there any inhabited planets in its trajectory?"

"Just one."

Kara, Alex and J'onn look in terror as Argo City flashes onto the screen.

"Argo City. Oh, my God." J'onn exclaims. "Superman's there with Lois and-"

"My mom." Kara finishes her heart beating rapidly in her chest. "Can we warn them?" she asks, looking towards Brainy.

"Argo's Harun-El sure makes communication difficult, but I will try." Brainy answers determined to help Kara.

"How much time do they have, Brainy?" Alex asked wanting to know how much of a chance they got to save them.

"Not enough." Brainy replies grimly

Location: Argo City

"Superman, champion of Earth, who faced off with Doomsday, defeated General Zod alongside the Bat, and went toe-to-toe with Lex Luthor and his death traps, has finally met his match." Lois announced walking towards Clark who is struggling to put on Jon's diaper.

"A dirty diaper, What do you think? Front page news?" Lois asks with a teasing smile as Clark chuckles at his wife's teasing.

"Uh... I mean, I think it's a little lowbrow for Lois Lane." Clark counters smiling at his wife who scoffs.

"Lowbrow? If only the citizens of Earth could see Kal El struggling with spit up."

"Need I remind you, Miss Lane, uh, I have no powers here." Clark reminds his wife who scoffs again.

"Oh, don't you blame this on the red sun, honey." Lois chuckles as Clark finishes changing Jon's diaper picking his son up while Lois inspects her husband's work.

"Hey, buddy. Yay, Daddy did it." Lois waved her son's hands as if he was congratulating his father.

"Yeah, kinda." Clark agreed with a wide smile on his face, happy to be with his wife and son safe and sound away from the everyday villains and evil bald headed men.

"Jonathan really has your eyes." Lois points kissing her husband in the cheek sweetly placing her head on his right shoulder.

"I'll take it... so long he has your everything else." Clark grinned, kissing Lois.

"You know, when I used to picture us together, we were always living on Earth, and we had two kids."

Lois clicks her tongue before saying. "Well, I hate to break it to you, Kansas, but prognostication is not one of your superpowers."

Suddenly a hologram of Kara appears in front of the couple. "Kal! Lois!" Kara shouts through the hologram.

"Kara?" Clark asks, confused by the hologram. "I didn't know we had that in the house."

"In pants?" Lois points out with a proud smile as Kara's hologram begins to malfunction causing the rest of Kara's words to come out jumbled.

"How did she manage to break through Argo's shield interference?" Clark asks, impressed.

"Not well, apparently." Lois comments before fixing the connection so they can hear Kara.

"Kal, Argo is in danger. You need to get out of there now!" Kara urges as the hologram loses the connection, then suddenly the sky turns red and the ground begins to shake.

"We're leaving!" Clark orders handing Jon to Lois as they head out the door to the sight of kryptonians running around the city in panic.

Clark grunts as he pushes through the crowd making sure that there is a clear path for Lois and Jon so that no one knocks into them.

As Clark pushes through the crowd with her wife behind him, he soon sees Alura, a woman who has become an Aunt to him, who appears to be looking for them as well, shouting their names through the crowd and he quickly heads towards her.

"Alura!" Clark shouts, getting her attention.

"Kal, Lois, thank Rao." Alura exclaims, hugging the couple tightly as if they'll disappear at any moment.

"What's happening?" Lois asks panicked as the ground shakes again, buildings begin to fall over as the red sky roars with the sounds of thunder.

"A wave of anti-energy is moving through the universe, erasing everything in its path."

Clark's heart begins to beat rapidly in fear which doesn't happen much, the fear of losing his wife and child crushes him. "H...h..how long do we have?"

"Minutes!" Alura answers. "Quickly! With me!" she urges the couple to a pod. "We must set a course for Earth. Hopefully, they'll have enough time to stop this wave before it hits."

"Where are the rest?" Clark asks, hoping that there's at least one for Lois so she can be with Jon."

"There are no others, only this one." Alura answers, the ground shakes again causing Lois to hurriedly place Jon into the pod not wanting to waste any more time. "We'll always be with you, Jonathan.

"We will never leave you."

"Even in the face of our deaths."

"We love you."

Earth

Location: National City

"They're gone." Kara sobs softly with tears running down her face but Alex places her hand onto her sister's shoulder with a look that told her.

"I know that you're hurting but the world needs Supergirl"
