CHAPTER TWO
Earth-1
Location: Lian Yu
Oliver and his daughter Mia walk through the island of Lian yu taking in the nature of the island that was strangely calm at the moment, after a few seconds Oliver clears his throat before speaking.
"For a very long time, I have hated this place. I think about all the people that it took from me." Oliver pauses, taking a deep breath as the memories of everything that has happened in this island flashes through his mind. "It would just... It would just make me so angry."
"But you're not now." Mia assumes with a small smile proud of her father getting over his past.
"I'm still a little bit angry." Oliver admits with a chuckle, he doesn't think that anger will ever go away.
"This island taught me to survive. It turned me into someone else. Somebody better than the person I was before. So, despite my feelings... there would be no stories about the Green Arrow to tell if I didn't make my way to Lian Yu. And now I'm standing here, at this moment looking at my daughter."
Mia looks at her father with unshed tears in her eyes walking towards her father hugging him tightly "Thank you for letting me be a part of your story. Even if it was only for a little while."
"Yeah, something tells me you're gonna create your own stories." Oliver sighs wrapping his arms around her, he knows that if or when he goes, Mia will be there to protect Star City and will probably do much more than that.
Interrupting their moment, the sky suddenly turns to a red that Oliver knows too well and the sound of thunder rumbling echoes through the red sky. Then A bright shines in front of the two revealing Lyla in an armored blue suit.
"Lyla?" Oliver exclaims shocked at the sight of Diggle's wife looking so ancient and he feels the aura that the Monitor usually has.
"The Crisis has begun, Oliver we need to go now!" Lyla orders with her body begins to shine brightly pulling Oliver and Mia in with her.
Location: Central City
"Cisco, what have you got?" Barry asks flashing through the city stopping when he gets no answer.
"This an isolated event? Is it everywhere? Cisco! Caitlin! Iris!?" Barry calls out again only to be met with the sound of static.
Suddenly a bright light shines in front of the speedster revealing Lyla who looks at Barry with a cold face but he could see the fear in her eyes telling him that something was going on.
"I'm Harbinger now." Lyla corrects. "I'm working with the Monitor." She declares getting to the point.
"He sent you to get me." Barry realizes "Because the Crisis is here?"
"That is correct." Lyla nods.
Barry takes a deep breath preparing himself for the worst "I'm ready."
Location: Gotham
A gang of rabbits in a van rush through the streets of Gotham, Suddenly Gotham's hero Batwoman appears in front of the van causing them to turn quickly into a parked car.
Six rabbits quickly exited the van with guns in tow looking for the Bat.
"Where is Alice?!" Kate shouts from the top of the vehicle, jumping off the van's roof slamming the two rabbits heads into the ground knocking them out.
Kate then dodges two other rabbits bullets before using her batarangs throwing then into their legs taking them out, she headbutts the one in front of her before walking up to the last one standing who accidentally drops his gun in fear.
"I said, '' Where is Alice?!"
"Okay! okay, I'll tell you, just don't kill me." The rabbit begs. "There's an old sugar factory."
"Where is it?" Kate grits grabbing him by the collar bringing him close, she internally smiles at the sight of the fear in his eyes.
Suddenly a bright light appears and Harbinger walks up to Kate. "Batwoman, the multiverse is in great danger. You are needed." She declared grabbing her by the shoulder
"I'll deal with whatever your crazy is, in a minute." Kate spat attempting to shake off Harbinger's hand but it didn't budge.
"There is no more time."
Location: Star City
It's Trivia Night, at a bar where Ray and Sara were waiting for the next question drinking their beer.
"Okay, folks, time for our tie-breaker question of the night." The announcer states grabbing a card from a box labeled the "Question Box pulling out a card.
"Alright here we go."
"What is the name of the last song Janis Joplin ever recorded?"
Sara chuckles as she writes down her answer.
"Ready for some free drinks?" Sara asks Ray confidently of her answer you know being a time traveler has it pros and cons, and easily winning trivia nights
"And the answer to our final bonus question is. "Little Robot Man! The Strange Visitors are the winners tonight! Better luck next time legends."
The other team celebrates their victory as Sara looks on in shock.
"Uh, no, that's wrong. But "Mercedes Benz" was Janis Joplin's last song. I'm gonna tell that trivia host." Sara says determined to correct the mistake only to be stopped by Ray who scratches the back of his neck in embarrassment.
"Sara. Do you remember last year at Woodstock when I was supposed to steal a lock of Janis Joplin's hair without her noticing?" Ray asks.
"Yeah?" Sara answers remembering Ray coming back into the Waverider like he ran a marathon.
"Well, she noticed." Ray chuckles breathlessly before continuing. "and she called me a..."
"Little Robot Man." Sara realizes. "Well, congratulations, you changed history and lost us trivia night, which means we're done here."
Suddenly a bright light appears in the bar causing everyone but Sara and Ray to run out of the bar.
"What's with the suit?" Sara asks with a confused expression on her face while Ray looks at her, also confused but also very curious.
"We're running out of time!"
Earth-38
Location: National City
The red sky shines in through the windows of the DEO as Alex tries to get everything under control.
"I want every available agent in the field until we get a handle on whatever this thing is." Alex orders the DEO through her comms with Kara, J'onn and Brainy alongside her.
Suddenly Harbinger appears in front of them causing everyone to get in their fighting positions, every single DEO agent guns at the ready.
"Hey face down on the floor. Now!" Alex orders stepping up to the mysterious woman gun at the ready.
"Did you do this? Did you destroy Argo?!" Kara questions demanding an answer but Harbinger doesn't say anything as another bright light shines in the middle of the DEO revealing Clark, Lois, Oliver, Mia and Kate.
The anger quickly leaves Kara's body as she sees her family. "Thank Rao, you're okay." Kara whispers, hugging the couple tightly.
"Thanks to her." Lois points looking towards Harbinger. "She appeared at the last second and brought us here."
"We sent Jonathan off in an escape pod."
"And my mother?" Kara asks already knowing the answer because if she were alive she would be here telling her that everything will be okay.
I'm so sorry, Kara." Clark brings his cousin closer hugging her tightly which Kara responds in kind wrapping her arms around her cousin just as tight since Clark is the only one who she can truly hug.
"Kara? Where are we? And what just happened?" Kate asks, confused looking around her surroundings unfamiliar with literally everything besides Kara and Oliver.
"Um... You're on Earth-38." Kara explains stepping away from Clark's hug.
"That rabbit was about to talk." Kate grits.
"This one speaks to rabbits." Brainy whispers to J'onn who chuckles knowing that's probably not what she meant...at least he hopes so.
"It's okay. Cause we're all on the same side." Kara says with a small smile..
"Are we? 'Cause I don't know them." Kate points looking at the strangers around her.
"But you know me." Kara smiles. "And if you were brought here with all these other heroes, it's probably because we need you. I trust everyone in this room with my life. Including you."
Kate sighs before taking off her cowl. "Well, I guess you all can just call me Kate.
