Every single step away from her friend, her 'Superfriend', her pupil, she had felt as if she'd verbally attacked by such an abrupt and honestly disrespectful approach, left a sour taste in her mouth. It wasn't just that, but the list Kara had slammed down on Nia's desk, after being ruthlessly and heartlessly somewhat metaphorically shoved into her hands by Jackie 'CLICKBAIT' Frost. That list, pages long, of VICTIMS of…

The thought, the rocketing of her pulse rate, she shoved aside and knocked on the glass of her Boss' *gags* office, to get the attention of the one merely looking at charts and ratings versus the news going on, that had been...muted?! Kara told herself, get her shit together and NOT laser holes in the screens only obviously, importanized by popularity, knocking louder. Finally the brod turned around. Ugh, she reeked of some horrid perfume. 'Gag me, twice over.'

"Miss Danvers! Is there..something I can help you with? Was I not clear as to what I wanted?" No lasers. No-P-e. Not lasers. INTO the sun! 'Let it be LIGHT YEARS away. Far FAR away.' Her thoughts would remain just that. For now. Ponderments continued.

"This list." She steeled herself, attempting to get her voice in that same frame of confident range. Instead, unfortunate 101 looked at her, not with confusion, but annoyance. A..nnoyance..? 'Heeeere comes the sun.' Lyrical ballads for sanity.

"What about it? Are you," The woman scoffed and Kara did her best not to snap the very sturdy brass pen between her fingers, "just NOT smart enough to keep up with, I don't know, the NEWS which..ohhh YEAH, you WORK in! Was I just not slow-speaking enough for your feeble lucked-out Politzer winning mind to comprehend? Let me. Make. This. PERFECTLY. Clear. I...want...those..on...THAT.." *SNAP* The sudden noise seemed to shut Rojas up, sooner than her own words would. It hadn't gone unnoticed, by her Boss OR her Uncle Archie.

"That is enough! I am SICK of this bullying, this arrogant, chauvinistic, ego-maniac METHODS!" She raised her voice, catching the woman taken back by this attitude, and taking two mild steps back. Kara turned on her heels and walked out into the main area, followed by a ranting, slightly cussing, pain in her ass, hot on said backs of her feet, now gathering a bit of a crowd by the uproar. She heard Nia easily tell her 'Uncle' not to say or do anything and trust her instinct and her friend's, little sister's. Of course, it didn't mean Ms. Nal couldn't send off an 'emergency broadcast' systeMATIC note in the process. Two in Line? WOULD make MICK'S time. 'Heat Wave, how I MISS eeeeeven he.'

"Miss DANVERS! YOU listen here!" The papers clipped, with name after name on them, were crumpled in Kara's other hand, without the still broken writing instrument in it, and eyes that felt like they were burning and not with heat vision, or Legendary Rory's stylish goodie but with anger. "I don't care WHO you think, YOU ARE, but YOU. WORK. FOR. ME! Understood?! UNLESS you WANT to be FIRED, I SUGGEST you shut your mouth and GET ME those.."

"Kara." Nia whispered, knowing it would only be two people that could hear her, unless Alex or Lena or someone had a recorder attached to the Kryptonian ass, she knew the warning but it was waaaaay BEYOND anything calm now.

Kara set the beat up papers on the desk closest to her, already aware of how many eyes were on them, including azures of a FUMING Andrea Rojas burning imaginary holes in her, definitely far from felt. Not like she could ever handle the power she had been gifted by a yellow sun.

"THIS?!" Andrea pointed in a tiff, at her, looking around at everyone, "is whyyyy you NEVER decide to piss me off! THIS is someone that came back storyless and nitwitted with excuses, and thennnnn gets snarky with me! THIS is how you get fired." The next thing said was when what had been in her power-housed hands was thrown so hard at the floor that the metal casing exploded into brass shavings, and on impact the escaping ink splattered, writing its own sheer fire responsive warning.

"ENOUGH! YOU don't EVEN, get to pitch a fit, when YOU were all living..and BREATHING the crisp air! When you WEREN'T in some..FROZEN. HELL! YOU have..NO. IDEA what hell is! NONE OF YOU do! I wasn't with Mrs. Grant, or any of that undercover bullshit! My SISTER told Nia that! You WANT to know why?!" Andrea hissed, then snickered then crossed her arms and cocky-toned with all it's sarcasm, said thus answer.

"Well? We are ALL waiting!" No one else would DARE to challenge a one angered Kara Danvers like Rojas was.

"WELL? THAT is your CHOICE word?! HOW is THIS! I was ONE of their victims!" A gasp had her fellow work partners, getting away, far away, from the Boss and closer to her. "Well?! HERE is one for you! LEX! Lex Luthor SENT ME THERE! He sent ME...to the PHANTOM ZONE! A cold, FROZEN HELL! It is a place, a..place, I've been before. It's a place that is dark. SO DARK! There, there is no sun, and time doesn't pass. You have noooo IDEA what hour, or day, or month or even YEAR it is! Not UNTIL you get out, IF..you CAN get out! He sent me there, AFTER I didn't stay dead, even when he shot me WITH my DEAD PLANET'S remnants and KILLED ME! It was my Best Friend to find a way to bring me back to life. And then? Ohhhh no. Then.."

She snatched the crumpled list off the desk and threw it at Andrea's feet, "then, he sent me..back INTO that hell!" She shouted, even when the tears ran down her face, with no end in sight. "I woke up, FREEZING! Freeze..frigid...nightmares. The cold. Dark. DARK! In DARKNESS! POWERLESS! SURROUNDED by Phantoms! YOU have...NOOOOO IDEA! AGHHHH!" Kara unleashed the most agonizing of roars, ripped her glasses off, and threw them down, so quickly, in a way, that her suit DIDN'T appear. Instead, she howled and let her heat vision free, set right onto the wretched list, burning it away, along with part of the floor.

A HUGE gasp and a whole mutual step back, along with silent tears, were let go and it seemed that everyone was too stunned and full of emotional pain for her, to say a word. She let the glow in her eyes dissipate, before she continued again, only for her fellow workmates, friends and father, to unplug and rip out the cords from all computers, tablets and such. William had pointed to the exits and Nia took her phone out, responding to the texts rapidly, only to throw the device in an empty trash can, where all others did the same, but one reporter fished Dreamer's out to hand back to her. William had ripped the cell out of their Boss' hand and stormed into her office with her father, to destroy EVERY server, mainframe and screen, as well as have him point to the hidden cameras and quickly Nia went in to fry them, come back and stood next to her best friend, her big sis and mentor, taking one of her hands to which Kara squeezed with not too much strength.

She told them all, about how old she was, when her home became unstable and the last days before it exploded before her agony filled eyes, trapped in a pod only to be sent into the Phantom Zone where she suffered both partially conscious but most of the time asleep trapped in the tiny compartment, in a frigid darkness, for twenty-four years, or what her people called cycles instead. She had just been thirteen cycles when she had been imprisoned there, in a deathly silent black abyss. EVERYTHING...gone.

"Ka..ra." William barely held any strength to a voice so shaken, as was the rest of him, struggling to process everything he'd just heard, seen. Felt. Just as he had finally found that push, to say something else did the much louder than usual tune of someone's cell blare to life and in doing so, brought the air back in the room that seemed as if everyone around his colleague and friend had felt that deathly cold too. His eyes caught a sight he never thought he'd witness again. Andrea Rojas was..crying. Not much, and silent at that, but the tears were there nonetheless. They were quickly discarded, for a return of the monstrous..'Ice Queen.'

"She's right there." Nia spoke up, beating her Boss to the verbal punch, already having brought the phone to her ear, responding to the caller and doing as she was told, handing the phone to her best friend and hero. Just before the Kryptonian's hand took that solid yet shaky hold, did the click of the 'speaker' bring out the caller's quite 'royally' solid, controlled but powerful voice sending shivers through almost everyone. The cell, mildly pulled back from her head given the circumstantial level of tone.

"KEEEEER-AH?! Answer!" Two gulps did nothing to clear the lump in Kara's throat.

"M..m..Mi..ss..G..Gra..Grant?" Suddenly her days of being her Boss' assistant, shot a tremble into her vocal cords. That lump? Oh it just doubled in size.

"WHY has my daily treatment been interrupted, Keer-ah? Well..?" Confusion settled in for no doubt a LONG ride. Turbulence, heeeere she comes. "A little bird annoyed me greatly, sung a wretched tune, I have titled 'irritant under firearm attention' FAR too early this morning! WHAT has happened to my empire?! I SEE some things have not changed Keer-ah. DO speak, answer, respond. Keer-ah? WORDS are a good way to start."

"LISTEN here. I don't care WHO you think you are, but this? This, here, is MY company! My reporter, that is IF she thinks she still is such, DOESN'T answer to some washed up.."

"ARE you done, ungrateful child? Good. Now, let the adults speak. I SUGGEST you pipe that dirty-money, thieving trap of yours. Keer-ah!"

"No! I am NOT done, as a matter of.." *SMACK* The gasp had even Kara landing her attentive eyes on whom had just slapped the despicable woman, gaining a three word linguistic fire all but ignored. She couldn't stop a smile from slipping over her parted lips, switching from shock, to wonderment when the blonde, former employee and foe'?' of sorts, parked it next to her in a supportive gesture. Just as soon as Eve Teschmacher made her stand at her side, did an applause come from the phone's speaker.

"BRAVO! Encore! INDEED more like it. Thank you Ave-rey." Kara motioned with her hands, for Eve to avoid any attempt at a corrective measure rebuttal. "Get her a raise, Keer-ah. DISMISS this idea at once. I will. Please do, write a reminder for me. It is no disrespect to her, but I DO handle quite the plateful. Could you fetch it from the balcony. Yes. Yes, that one. Thank you dear." The blondes turned their heads, locking eyes with one raised brow each, and had looks of pure confusion on their faces. They shook their heads and returned to the verbal powerboss. "Keer-ah. Ave-rey." Their postures took on an almost soldier one, eyes forward and tensed.

"YES Miss Grant?" Their voices had tuned in sync apparently too.

"Excellent. Now..WHAT happened there? I have read recent, well NUMEROUS reports, sent to me, and have considered sending for a car to.." Rustling, shuffling and other random snapping and tapping kept brows rising higher. "No need to send for one. We can take the Bentley then, or the Royce. Your choice dear. We will see about commandeering Scully, in matters to that current disgrace in charge. Scratch that plan. We shall snatch up 'Skully' too. It wouldn't hurt to keep BOTH danger-ranked Skeletors on my payroll, if it means they'll come when summoned."

"GET! OFF. THAT. LINE! NOW!" Scoffs, growls and hissing had been heard, by a well beyond wishful, above the skyrise, BELOW the deepest sewer lined curr called Rojas, narrowing her eyes at the minion employees no longer under her control apparently, she intended to scrap from payroll as the seconds ticked by. "So HELP ME, I WILL tear up EACH aaaand EVERY single ONE of your contract.." The same blonde that had given her a hand before, was about to repeat that gracious act again, when she stepped forward in a warning.

"Howwww ADORABLY annoying. An irritant. Pest. Ah! That would be beneficial. A wonderful suggestion. Keer-ah, do make a list of office supplies in dire need. INCLUDING roach repellent. Perhaps, a call to Terminix. Make a separate list for maintenance, servicing and anything ELSE she had let go to a step, if not an entire staircase, below hell. DO, another sheet Keer-ah. Ready?" Kara had never been so grateful for her 'speedy' gifts, that were barely needed, when a notepad and three pens were handed to her. She smirked to Dave, bless his rainbow heart, with three neon colored gel instruments. "Iiiiii'm waiting Keer-ah." She slipped two over the tops of her ears and twisted the purple pen, with the tip in view and ready.

"Ready Miss Grant." She mouthed 'thanks Dave' who signed 'welcome angel' making her smile at his facial expressions, reminding her of Angel from 'R.E.N.T.

"Bout time. DO take record of those remaining loyal to the cause. One moment. I believe we will need numerous file folders, if you don't mind. No. Another moment. Keer-ah, order me a new file cabinet. YOU know which one I prefer. Surprise me on the sheen dear. A few more. No. THOSE ones. Yes. Perfect. WE will be there shortly. Oh and Ka-rah, I EXPECT you to have the latest articles on my desk, before my toes even cross my empire's threshold. Indeed. Timed arrival, with two minor stops. Alright Keer-ah, get to it. Chop, chop. Ado, UNTIL my arrival. OUR…..arrival."_
