Vacation of Horror!
"Vacation! Vacation! Vacation! We're going on a vacation!" chanted Sprig and Polly as they were in the back of the Boonchuy car with Hop Pop and Anne, who were trying to calm the both of them down, with little success as Anne's father was driving all of them along with his wife to their destination.
"Alright, you two. Please keep it down." Anne's father, Jeff Boonchuy, said, hoping to calm the excited frog siblings down.
"Sorry, Mr. B. We can't help it." Sprig said as he hopped in his seat.
"Yeah," said Polly said. "It's our first road trip here! Plus our first one outside of Anne's hometown."
"I get it that your excited guys, but if you don't stop, Dad just might turn the car around and take us home." Anne said, using her final trump card. "You wouldn't want that, would you?"
That instantly stopped the two frogs, who immediately sat in silence.
"Sorry!" said the two in unison.
"Thank Frog, the two are finally behaving themselves. They've go on like this for 30 minutes." Hop Pop said, looking up at Anne. "Good job, Anne."
"Thanks HP." The human Thai girl said as she and the elderly disguised frog high-fived before looking up at her parents. "So Mom and Dad, how long until we get there?"
"Not long now you guys. We're almost there." Mrs. Boonchuy said as she looked at a large, folding map. "So Sprig and Polly, please behave until we get there, okay."
"Yes ma'am." the two frog children also disguised squeaked out.
After fifteen minutes of driving the group drove past an old sign, much to Ms. Boonchuy's relief.
"We're almost there, everyone." she said. "Who's ready for some outside Los Angles fun?"
"We are!" Anne and the three frogs shouted in excitement.
As they rode down the road their destination, what they didn't know was the unknown danger connected to the destination our heroes are going to.
The camera that turned back to the sign that the Boonchuys and the Planters drove by as it read in bold, underline words:
"Camp Crystal Lake!"
Stopping the car in the middle of the abandoned camp, everyone began to get out as Mrs. Boonchuy said. "Alright gang, we're here."
"What is this place?" Polly said as she hopped out of her seat.
"Camp Crystal Lake." said Mr. Boonchuy as took a bag off of the roof.
Upon hearing that name, Anne felt her heart stop as her eyes went wide with shock. "C-C-Camp Cr-Crystal L-Lake! The one where that hockey masked, machete wielding, psychopath, Jason, resides!"
Hop Pop, hearing this, accidentally dropped a bag the ground in shock. "WHAT?!"
"There's something out there?!" Polly said as she embraced Sprig's legs out of fear.
"With a machete and a hockey mask and his name is Jason?!" Sprig exclaimed as his heart began to beat at a fast rate before suddenly realizing. "Wait, who the heck is Jason?"
Sighing, Anne gestured the frog family to gather around her as her parents did the same as she began. "A long time ago in this very camp, there was this young, bullied boy named Jason Voorhees, who drowned in that very lake over there thanks to some of his fellow bullying campers."
She pointed to a big lake out in the distance as Hop Pop said. "Wait, why didn't the camp counselors do anything? Surely they would've been looking out for the kids swimming in the lake."
Anne couldn't help but blush as she knew what the counselors that day from her parents and she didn't want to say it in front the Planters (especially Sprig and Polly since they're children) so she stood silent for a bit.
Luckily, her dad came to back her up. "Let's just say that they were off doing adult things and move on."
"Oh! Okay!" Hop Pop said as he instantly knew what Anne's dad was talking about, much to Sprig and Polly's confusion but they decided not to question it seeing how uncomfortable Anne, her parents and Hop Pop were feeling.
"Thank frog you saved me, dad!" The young teen thought to herself.
"Well that is just irresponsible of them!" Hop Pop as he shook his head in disappointment.
"Yeah, I hope they got what they deserved!" Polly said, pounding her flippers together.
"Oh they did, curtesy of his vengeful mother, Pamela." Mrs. Boonchuy said, a small smile donning her face. "And she was just as crazy as her son. Her vengeful deed didn't go unpunished when she got the axe herself."
"Which is all the reason why we need to leave. NOW!" Anne shouted, her fear filled voice echoing as she was about to head back to the car before Sprig grabbed her hand.
"Hold on Anne, Jason and his mom are dead. There's no reason to worry." The kid frog said, feeling optimistic.
"Sprig is right, honey." Her father said placing a hand on her daughter's shoulder. "Besides we just got here and I want to enjoy this trip."
But Anne refused to cave as she pushed them back. "You guys don't get it! When Jason "died"..." She air-quoted the word 'died' with her fingers as she continued. "He came back as a walking, silent zombie who wields a machete and he just becomes even more dangerous and even tougher to kill every time he comes back!" Anne then turned to her mother, furiously asking. "And Mom, I'm sorry for saying this but this is mostly my fear talking so I hope you'll understand, but why in the flying FUCK did you decide to make THIS our vacation?!"
Before Anne dropped the F bomb, Hop Pop managed to covered Sprig and Polly's ears, securing their innocence. When Anne was done talking, Hop Pop took his hands off of his grand kids' ears.
Anne's mother undeterred that her daughter just swore to her face and in front of her frog family simply said. For a single reason, Jason was killed during the 5 months you were in Amphibia so we're safe."
"For now, you mean." Anne said, rolling her eyes.
"Yes Anne, for now. And even if Jason does come back somehow, we're going to be ready for him." The older woman said confidently before going to the back of the car and popping the trunk open, revealing to her on edge daughter and the Planters that there two bags filled with a bunch of weapons from Thai culture such as two Siamese Mauser assault rifles, a Saen Phonlaphai scythe, and four Ngao poles as well as other weapons from America such as two shotguns, and a single pistol before turning back to her daughter. "See, we're prepared."
"Well, yeah, but-" Anne was about to retort but before she could try to, her placed her father placed his hands on her shoulders.
"Listen sweetie, we trusted you when you were looking after the Planters after you came back, now it's time for you to do the same." Her father said, hopefully stopping an argument from occurring between the two before turning to the others with them. "So how about this gang, we'll stay here for the night and afterwards, we'll go home tomorrow. How does that sound?"
Anne, the Planters and his wife thought for a bit before Hop Pop spoke.
"I'm in." he said, agreeing with this plan.
"Sure, why not." Polly said in agreement. "Not the first time we camped in a place like this."
"That sounds like a good idea, Jeff." his wife said in agreement.
Anne looked at the ground before letting out a sigh. "Alright fine." She then gave her mother the stink eye. "But if and when Jason comes back, what he does is on you, you got it?"
As everyone began to get some of their luggage and few weapons to arm themselves just in case something happens, what they didn't know, was that deep at the very bottom of the lake that the camp was named after, a pair of red eyes glowed brightly.
At night, Anne and the Planters were around a campfire as Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy chose to as they put it: "Test out the sturdiness of the beds." in their cabin in the far right of the camp, Anne and Hop Pop secretly bet 50 bucks against each other if the married couple was... you know. Anne bet 50 for and Hop Pop bet 50 against and so far, the bipedal, elderly frog was winning as they haven't heard a single thing coming from her parents' cabin.
In the meantime, they each took turns telling stories of some of their favorites together, with or without Anne. For Hop Pop, it was the story of when Sprig was born and then Polly years after. For Polly, it was when she met Frobo... before feeling bummed out when she remembered what happened to him. Luckily Sprig managed to distract her from her trauma by telling his story of when he met Anne for the first time and stood up for her when an angry mob of Wartwood citizens mistook her for a monster and were about to attack her. For Anne, it was for when Sprig and the citizens of Wartwood backed her up against the toad army one time and Sasha, Anne's controlling and manipulative "friend" during the Toad Tower fiasco.
What they didn't know was that someone was walking towards there campsite with a sense of purpose.
As Anne and her favorite frog family were laughing at the various stories they were telling each other, Anne looked out into the distance and saw the shape of someone walking towards them. It was hard to tell who exactly it was due to the darkness but thanks to the flame of the fire, Anne could make out the shape of the person.
"No..." Anne said in disbelief.
Noticing their friend's distant look, Polly, Sprig and Hop Pop looked in the direction that Anne was and saw that the person was inches away from their campfire.
"It can't be." Polly said, shaking her head in disbelief.
"No. Frogging. Way." Sprig said as he tried to reach for the shotgun behind him.
"Get ready everyone. Who knows what we're facing." Hop Pop said, placing a hand on his scythe.
At the foot of the fire, the four finally realized who this individual was.
It was a tall bald human, who had rotting grey skin, was wearing jeans that were soaking wet, a beige jacket that was ripped and tattered and had multiple holes in it, a gray sweater that had multiple stains of his own blood on it and leather boots that had traces of mud on the bottom of them. But the biggest characteristic about this guy was the hockey mask and the rusted machete that had stains of blood on the curvy edge of it.
As he stared down at the four, Anne was frozen with fear, Hop Pop already had his scythe out and pointed it at him, Sprig already his shotgun pointed at him, and Polly was itching for fight as she pointed her pistol (with the safety on) at him.
"Don't move." was all Anne could say as she stared up at the hockey masked person, seconds away from freaking out. "He won't kill us if we don't move."
Taking a step forward, the masked person stomped on the fire, setting him on fire in the process. But for some reason, this didn't really phase the man all that much as continued to march forward.
"Take this, you monster!" Hop Pop said as he swung his scythe at the man, the tip of the weapon going into the man's ribs.
Stopping a bit, the masked person pretty much ignored the attack as he smashed his fist into a part of the weapon, breaking it in two before pulling the part that was embedded into his ribs out and tossing it on the ground before continuing forward, ignoring the group and soldering on despite the fire was continuing to burn him.
"Is he ignoring us or something?" Polly said, realizing that the person wasn't really targeting them.
"Where is he going?" Sprig asked in confusion as he continued to pointed his weapon at him.
Suddenly, Anne's eyes went wide with realization. "Mom and Dad! He must be after them!" She then turned to the Planters. "Quick! Keep him distracted while I go warn my parents!"
"You got it!" Sprig said to his best friend, before he then shouted to the persistent man. "Hey, masked guy! Over here!"
But the masked man continued to forward before he felt himself get shot in the back of the head by the frog boy's shotgun. Ignoring that, he then continued to walk forward as Anne managed to run past them as he was shot in the back of the left leg boy Polly's pistol (who managed to turn the safety off), making him drop to one knee.
"And stay down!" Polly said arrogantly.
However, the frog family's "victory" was short lived as they saw Jason stand back up, almost as if what happened never occurred as he continued to walk forward.
"Why isn't he going down?" Sprig said as he began to unload his weapon into this apparently supernatural force of nature.
"Well if we know one thing, is that whoever this guy is, he is definitely not human." Polly said, pumping her weapon's barrel into their foe, who continued to walk forward despite the assault.
"Guys, you don't think that this is that Jason guy that Anne was terrified of earlier?" Hop Pop asked as he fired shot after shot into Jason's back.
"Looks like it." Sprig said.
"Yeah, weird mask, machete. Kinda checks out." Polly said as she ran in front of Jason as she attempted to fire another shot into the revenant, only to hear a clicking sound. "Oh no."
"Polly!" Sprig and Hop Pop shouted.
Polly closed her eyes and prepared for it to end... only for her to reopen them and saw that Jason wasn't there.
"What the?" Polly said in confusion before she was then embraced by her brother and grandfather.
"Don't scare like that!" Hop Pop demanded.
"Yeah, we can't lose more family." Sprig said, crying a bit.
"Uh guys. I hate to interrupt this tender moment but..." Polly began before shouting. "ANNE AND HER PARENTS ARE IN DANGER!"
"Oh right!" the two frog males said.
As they ran after the the machete wielder, Hop Pop then began to wonder. "Well, since weapons aren't doing anything. I wonder if Anne would be able to use her blue powers on this guy."
"Would definitely be a big help." Polly said in agreement.
"Same, if only it weren't so draining when she uses them each time." Sprig pointed out.
"But in a situation this dire, I don't think she'll have much of a choice." Hop Pop said. "This fight has to change and quick or Anne's parents are as good as dead."
Making it to her parents cabin, Anne frantically pounded on the door. "Mom, Dad, it's Anne! Wake up!"
Stirring a bit in their sleep, Mom and Dad opened their eyes before sluggishly walking towards the door. Upon opening it, Anne embraced her parents. "Anne?"
"Dad, listen to me! We need to leave right. Now! Jason's here!" Anne warned her parents.
This news shocked them awake. "WHAT?!"
Suddenly, they heard the sound of footprints marching up behind Anne. Turning around, the Boonchuys were face to face with the Crystal Lake killer himself, Jason Voorhees.
Without warning, the silent killer reared his armed hand as he was prepared to throw his blood stained machete at Mr. Boonchuy, but before he got the opportunity to do it, something pink managed to slammed into the side of the killer's head, causing him to get knocked to the floor and drop the weapon.
Uncurling, that thing revealed itself to be Polly who shouted. "He's down, let's get the frog out of here before he gets back up!"
But Jason wasn't done as while Anne, Polly and Jeff managed to run out of the room, the creature managed to grab onto Mrs. Boonchuy's leg!
"Ahh! Let go of me!" She demanded, grabbing a shotgun shooting her attacked in his hockey mask for his grip to tighten in response, causing the bones to begin to crack from the pressure, causing her to scream in pain.
"Mom!" Anne said as she and Jeff grabbed onto her mother's arms and tried to pull her forward, but Jason had a tight grip.
"Leave me! Save yourselves!" Anne's mother demanded.
"Never!" Sprig shouted as he shot out his tongue and wrapped it around the leg that Jason was holding. "I'm not losing another Mom!"
"You're not taking another victim, you unfrogly abomination!" Hop Pop shouted as he launched his tongue around Mrs. Boonchuy's torso in an attempt to rescue her from the undead killer's grasp.
It was a tug of war for Anne's as they felt their grip on her begin to loosen. Anne was in complete distress, Jason was going to kill her mother and would be powerless to do anything... before an idea clicked into her head.
"Wait a sec, that's it!" Anne thought to herself. "It's a gamble but I'll have to risk it."
Breathing heavily as the thought of seeing her Mom getting killed in front of her as anger began to flow inside of her caused a metamorphosis to occur within the Boonchuy teenager. Her eyes began to turn into a bluish color as her hair as a blue aura had manifested around her body.
The Planters as well as Mrs. and Mr. Boonchuy, watching were in complete shock at what they were seeing. "Anne?"
"Hey, you undead asshole!" The normally chill girl shouted in a rather scary voice.
Jason looked up as the powered up teen continued. "You think you can try to kill my family while I'm unable to do anything? You got another thing coming, you rotting piece of crap!"
At an insurmountable speed, Anne appeared in front of Jason like a blitz and before he had the chance to do anything, Anne jab her fist into Jason's chest, forcing him to let go of his target and causing him to slam into the wall before she tackled him through it.
"Come on, you two need get to the car!" Hop Pop said as he help Mr. Boonchuy place his wife over his shoulder and carry her forward.
"What about Anne?" Jeff said in concern for his daughter.
"And what just happened to her?" Mrs. Boonchuy said with equal concern.
"Look, it's a long story, but now isn't the time to explain." Sprig said as they all rushed outside.
Back with Anne, she began to lay a mighty beat down on Jason now that he had no longer had his machete, each hit more painful for Jason and draining than the last. With one punch, she tore off one of the monster's arms. With a kick to the jaw, she broke off the bottom part of Jason's hockey mask... and his entire jaw! With another punch, she blew open the murdering mama's boy's chest and stomach. Grabbing him by the shoulders and turning him around, she spoke one more time.
"This time, I hope when you get to Hell, you STAY THERE!"
Using every ounce of her strength poured into this punch, she sent Jason blast off into the night sky, as the force of the punch also blew the immortal to pieces as they then fell into the distant ocean.
"That's what you.. get! You... persistent... mother... fu..."
Before Anne could finish that sentence, she suddenly collapsed to the ground, her hair and eyes turning back to normal. As her vision began to fade, she saw the blurry silhouettes of the Planters and her parents. Knowing that they were now safe, the Boonchuy girl finally rested with a smile on her face.
The End!
