A Threat From The Stars!
For Elliott, everything was like a blur, everything was happening at such a fast pace that it was like a sort of whiplash.
One day, after he and his mother Frankie, told his dinosaur best friend Mo about what happened to the rest of his kind, he actually roared at the human, though it was because something was tampering the spaceship known as the Centrium's babble-drogs (these frog like aliens that allowed everyone to speak English and communicate with each other).
So after the mother and son duo went down to one of the biospheres, it was discovered that the frog like aliens had stuck their tongues to the rock that brought the two humans to the Centrium and became paralyzed while also reuniting with a droid named 105E who played a prank on them when they first arrived there and made Frankie give a lecture to the Hive's literal head while also finding out that Mo has followed them there in an effort to apologize for his earlier behavior.
However, before the trio could leave the biosphere, Frankie decided to show Mo the rock that brought them to the spaceship but in the process, she activated by accident forming the same transport sphere that surround Elliott and his Mom, only this time, Frankie and Mo were inside of it.
Elliott still remember that his Mom said that she would come back for him.
It been a month since that happened and Elliott was beginning to lose hope and with each day that went by, his hope was diminishing more and more. Despite that, he refused to sit and mope. So he went to the Head of the Hive for help or at least get some information on the rock that brought them here. Sadly, there wasn't much that they can give him aside from what they told his mother.
Huffing in frustration, Elliott thanked them for trying anyway and left their room in a depressed state.
The next few days were spent by Elliott going to the Hive in his still depressed yet a bit of in angry state. As he walk through the halls to his class, he felt the eyes of various students on him as he walked passed them, as they also noticed that Mo wasn't with him, which was a little odd because the two were always seen together.
Despite the various eyes of his fellow students being on him, Elliott just stood silent as he made it into his seat. As the day went on, Elliott felt his willpower break more and more with each hour that passed. Despite noticing his downer mood, most of the students and staff decided to wait until Elliott was willing to tell them what was wrong as when they asked him, only for him to tell whoever asked that he didn't feel like talking about it and they respectfully backed off, the only people who weren't having that were Nara, Preston, the Hive Director (who also noticed that Frankie wasn't with Elliott and Mo, who she also noticed didn't come to school during those days) and few other students from Elliott's class.
They were going to confront him on this, whether he liked it or not!
After the day was over, Elliott dragged his feet back home, all depressed and with a long face as well. What was he going to do? His mother and best friend were gone and he didn't know what to do. Many ideas were running through his head, the only one that he continuously came back to was using the Hive's knowledge of the universe and do some research. The problem with that was that he didn't know where to start as he didn't where the rock came from, who sent it or why it landed on Earth in the first place. Also, there was the possibility that the archives' information he was seeking were heavily guarded and Elliott didn't want to have to resort to stealing files and having to flee the Centrium as he's come to think of the giant spaceship as a second home.
However as he was walking, he heard a bunch of voices that brought him back to reality as he was now in front of his house, looking over he saw it was his three headed neighbor. Mrs. Argolis, who was arguing with each over something, like they always did. Upon noticing that the human boy was looking at them.
"What are looking at?" said one of alien woman's heads.
"Oh, s-sorry." Elliott said, wiping away some tears. "It's just that... I'm glad you three are together."
"Your mother and friend haven't come back yet?" asked the second head.
"Unfortunately." The human boy said.
"Well, they probably got lost." the third head theorized.
"True." Elliott said as he was about to head inside his house.
"Elliott wait." said the first head urgently.
"Yeah." He asked.
The first head said nervously. "I hope you remembered that our invitation to come to out hibernation pod is still open. Especially since, you know."
Hearing that caused Elliott to small a little, when the human came home after his mom and Mo were accidently transported off the Centrium and to an unknown location in space, Mrs. Argolis was the only person aside from the Hot Dog guy to know about to what happened and he had yet to disclose that information to anyone else.
"I'll... think about it. Thanks for the offer." the young boy said.
With that, he went closed the door. Seconds later, the three headed alien could hear the muffled sound of the boy crying, much to their concern. It's been a month since the boy's tragedy happened and other than inviting him over, the three felt helpless on what else they can do.
But Elliott's coping over the absence of Frankie and Mo would soon be the least of their problems.
In Elliott's home, the boy still crying as his face was down in a pillow. He's been doing this after school ever since he lost Mo and his mother.
Before he could wallow in sadness even more, he heard a series of knocks at the door. Not wanting anyone to see how he is depressed. The boy quickly wiped away new fresh tears from his eyes before he ran to the door.
Opening it, to his surprise, he saw that it wasn't just the Hive Director, but also Nara and even the whole class was with them.
"Oh, hello everyone." Elliott sniffled a bit. "W-What are you doing here?"
Nara rolled her one eye and said. "Elliott, we know what happened to your Mom and Mo."
Elliott's eyes went wide with shock. "What? You do?"
"Well I know, I just haven't told them yet, I want you to do." The future seer said. "I also know that your trying to spare our feelings by not telling us but Elliott, you mind telling the others?"
Knowing that it was futile to try and keep what happened to himself, the boy spoke. "Can we take this inside first?"
"Sure thing?" said the Hive Director.
As Elliott let everyone in, what they didn't know was that danger was about to come to light.
In the one of Biospheres, a group of babbledrogs were hopping around. Unbeknownst to them, four alien eggs were in the distance before one of had begun to peel open before a hand like creature began come out of it.
Once it was out, it began to crawl to the nearest babbledrog before it tried to attach itself to the electric frog alien's face because as soon one of its appendages touched the frogs, it was immediately electrocuted, causing it to fall over as it let out a screech of agony as it died
It wasn't long before the other eggs began to peel open...
Three weeks later, after Elliott has received much needed emotional support from the people of the Centrium for what happened, life 2as relatively peaceful.
That was when all hell broke loose...
A red alert has sounded off in the spaceship as the Hive Director issued an evacuation to the nearest escape pods to the citizens as the entire station was infested and under attack by large, big headed, lanky, aliens that razor sharp tails. The Hive's Defense Force was trying their best to hold them off but due to the sheer numbers and pure savagery that these creatures possessed, even the firepower of the Force was barely stopping them.
The creatures were known to the universe as Xenomorphs because before things went bad, Nara had a vision of "something really bad was about to the Centrium that the populace needed to evacuate." Because of this strange warning, one night, the Hive Director decided to go through the video cameras to find out if anything bad was happening in each of the Biospheres and Elliott offered to help her looking through any archives just in case anything became worth to note.
Looking into the Biosphere that Mo used to live in, to their horror, they saw the babbledrogs getting attacked and harvested by face-huggers. The two looked at each other in a disturbed silence to try and process what they saw.
Nara's vision was coming true. And with the frog alien's ability to ribbit out English words at random, it was only getting worse from there as what followed a series of disappearances of various aliens that Elliott saw. When he went to the Hive Director and the Hive's Head with this information, they soon discovered that the Xenomorphs were taking suitable hosts to expand their colonization of wherever they are and in the process of making them birth new Xenomorphs, they took on their characteristics of their hosts as well. And it didn't take a genius to know that with the strange abilities of the many aliens, the thought of the Xenomorphs possessing their abilities was the stuff of nightmares, especially if they got their claws on Nara's power. That was when the evacuation was issued.
Elliott and his class were running as fast they could to the escape pods as some could hold a single person there were also some that could hold a lot of people, and they were trying to get to the latter as Mr. K was leading them to it.
It was just in their sights when suddenly a swarm of Xenomorphs managed to intercept them by blocking off their escape.
"Oh no!" Elliott said in fear.
As soon as Elliott said that, the predatory aliens charged at them at a frightening speed. Before they could reach their targets, Lord Kallous used his scepter to make the Xenomorphs freeze in place... but not for long.
"Quick, everyone get into the escape pod." The dangerous teacher said. "I'll stay behind and hold them off as long as I can."
Choosing not to argue, Elliott and his friends quickly ran to the escape pod. Once everyone was inside, Nara slammed her fist onto the button, closing it.
As the Xenomorphs were beginning to move again, Mr. K turned to his students.
"I'm probably not going to survive this, so here's something to remember me by." He stopped place his hand on the button but haven't pressed it. "Out there can be crazy so stay on your toes and stay together and you'll be fine."
With that, Lord Kallous the Merciless pressed the button.
The pod was soon shot out into space, on set to an unknown destination.
As Elliott and his friends looked back at the collapsing space station that they once called home with sadness in their eyes as they now had to rely on each other to survive wherever this pod was taking them.
But there was one thing they knew, it was that wherever they ended up, it was time to step up as individuals now that they had to rely on their own skills.
Elliott chose to take a nap to ease the stress in his body.
After two hours, he finally woke up. As he rubbed out the sleep from his eyes, he saw that Nara, the Hive Director and some other students looking down at him.
"Nice to see you up, Elliott." The Hive Director said to the human. "We've reached our destination."
Looking out, Elliott gasped as he covered his mouth.
"What is this place?" The flame using, germophobic duck-like alien asked.
"Home." was all Elliott could say.
The End!
