Author has written 4 stories for Harry Potter, and Grey's Anatomy. Hello everyone!! My name is Jazee and I am from India. I devour books, I am a big foodie and I love to travel. This is my first foray into a fanfic site and I'm very excited about this. I've never written before but always wanted to. I am a self-proclaimed bookworm, with an unashamed obsession over Harry Potter. I've read hundreds of HP fanfics. I've gotten quite a few ideas brewing but I'm afraid some might be cliched. I don't think that can be helped anyway. I adore Severus Snape. I don't particularly care if people think he is a meanie. I think his character has a lot more to offer. And he definitely has the whole tall, dark and brooding thing down to a pat. Tragic hero anyone? And how many of us would agree that the Marauders, every single one of them, got the short end of the stick? I am a big softie, so don't think much of tragic endings. I loved HP books, all seven of them. But couldn't just let the happy ending lie. Definitely not all roses and balloons as all my favourite characters bite the dust at the end. Yes, I love Snape and Lupin more than the Golden Trio. A bit of a shock when I realized it myself. And Remus is the obvious embodiment of all that is good and proper in the world. Or that's how I think he is portrayed. But that's not why I love him so much. It's the werewolf part. To me, he is the symbol of what it is to be ultimately human. All of us have a dark side of us that fights for control and Remus is a mascot of this inner struggle. Somehow, I am a little undecided on my take on the female characters. Sometimes I love them but other times I abhor them. So, that's my take on HP. I also love Jane Austen. I grew up reading Pride and Prejudice and Emma. They are what I think are the pinnacles of literary achievement. But I might be a teeny tiny bit prejudiced. Lizzy Bennett was the one literary figure that I most identified with. A free and a wild soul. A little headstrong. Has her own shortcomings yet is the perfect woman. Or I might be thinking a little too much of myself. And Mr. Darcy was my childhood hero. Period. Unfortunately, I grew up and I am now of the opinion that 'Darcy's of the world are an extinct species. Twilight is another of my favorites. I used to like Edward but after reading so many Jacob-centric fics, I like Jacob more. Also, the wolves are awesome. Much more than the vampires. There can be a whole set of books written only about the wolves and I personally feel that SM hasn't explored enough. Thankfully, fanfics solve the issue. And Bella is super creepy. She is the most selfish character I've had the misfortune of reading. And what she calls her endless love for Edward comes across a lot obsessive and stalker-ish. Basically, I hate her. I think both Edward and Jacob deserve more. My reads also include Paolini, Dan Brown and Tolkien. I've always been intrigued by fiction based on post-apocalyptic or a dystopian universe. But a nice romantic laid-back sort of book always works too. I'm working on other ideas I have. Want to write some one-shots. You can find a lot more than this after some time! Read, like, follow and review guys!! The more you let me know what you think, the more I'm going to be invested. So have fun!! Also, I'm open to collaborate with other interested and similar minded FFN writers. So, if anyone needs a beta or just some help, let me know!! |
