Somewhere, at a now destroyed laboratory in the company, the RWPD police force are doing their job to investigate the crime scene. Some even split up to find any other evidence left in the laboratory incident. Others, paramedics included, even go into different rooms to find any possible casualties. As of now, the whole company is shut down until further notice.

"Broken lab equipment. Broken experiment. A destroyed exoskeleton, and the entire science team are all killed. And a now destroyed laboratory." A police officer, basically captain, reported. "How did this even happen."

"From the looks of it, sir. The room did leave some black smudge of ashes and some sword slices on the walls." Quincy Morris added, who was also observing the incident. "And it's possible that the science division team also had the same thing."

"What same thing?" the captain asked, who wasn't paying attention.

"Cuts and gunshots." He guided the captain to one dead body. He knelt down to examine it, "The cuts on each scientist, and the guards at the other room, that were killed had larger ones, compared to a normal sword cut. And the bullet holes on the rest were a lot bigger." He pointed to another scientist, except it had larger bullet holes. "The others said it was a shotgun bullet that caused this, but I don't think isn't. It's far from a shotgun bullet."

"Well, whoever caused this could be a villain." The captain guessed. "We never dealt with any villain activity in this city before. Except for criminals. But nothing too shabby here and there. We can deal with this ourselves."

"I doubt we can." The detective muttered without hope.

"What was it even that got this place all destroyed?" The captain questioned. "Or better way to say it, why this person even trying destroy this place."

Quincy started explaining at his best. "From the looks of it, when we investigated the entire lab, the exoskeleton project of theirs was destroyed, followed by a bunch of dead bodies lying on the ground, which both our evidence. But likely, whoever that person was didn't know that were security cameras in the lab itself." He finished.

"In English please." The captain didn't get all of the info from what he said.

"I mean, if we are able to trace who did this, then maybe we can start our search." He summarized.

"Detective! Captain!" a female police officer called out the attention of the duo. "You might wanna see this."

She guided the two in the surveillance room, which was left to be destroyed. The control panels were destroyed, and the screens started to distort in black and white. And the entire room itself was left with scorches and ashes, just like how the laboratory was left.

"We weren't able to trace who caused the incident, but we were able to manage."' She placed a USB into the laptop. She showed them a five second footage about the incident. It was the same black suited villain, except when he started to emit a large flaming energy from the sword, it also destroyed the camera, which ended the footage.

"Well, that wasn't enough to show that as evidence." The captain retorted in annoyance. "We can't use this. We might as well call it a night."

"No." the detective stopped. "We can use this as evidence. Play it back again from the start." He instructed, and was given a paused footage of the man in black. "His wearing a black attire, and had a mask on, too. It's also hard to know since it's blurry." He explained.

"So, what? Do we put in some wanted posters?" the captain gave a suggestion.

"Not yet." Quincy stated. "We'll be doing a search in case if he attacks again. But more importantly, we can't let the public know about this. We'll try to contact a hero from anywhere to assist us, and we can call close this case."

"But what about the rest?" the captain mentioned about the other crimes that happened already.

"Then we'll try rush things ahead for now. As soon as we capture this villain behind the public eye, then we can easily take him to prison, and deal with the rest after." He said as he began to leave the room.

"Contact the police department, and tell them to try calling a hero. Anywhere, and anyone." The captain ordered, which the female officer does.

Elsewhere, in Elliot Street, the sound of the alarms was directed straight to a local bank in Elliot Street. Two robbers wearing two masks that looked like superheroes, as they carried at least four or five bags worth of money.

"Oh man. Can't believe this was the easiest heist I've ever been through." The first thief wearing a magician themed hero's mask said in delight.

"Yeah. Besides. It's not like someone's gonna stop from getting all this dough." The second robber who's wearing a cowboy themed hero, laughed in amusement.

Unknown that they're surroundings, a red arrow was launched in the air, and shot straight to the money bag, which scattered all of the money inside. The thieves were both shocked and enraged.

"No! The money!" the second robber yelled. "Who the hell would –"

The first robber turned around, and had his mouth open as he screamed in terror, right after he was shot straight to the chest with a swarm of rubber bullets.

The second thief noticed his partner knocked out. He panicked in anger as he brought out his gun, but it was knocked out from his hand after an arrow came through the gun. He looked up, and screamed as he was met by a flying kick.

Later, two police cars came, and saw the two thieves all knocked out. The police officers escorted them into the car, while two more checked inside if there anything else that happened. So far, the two can only spot the bag of money in front of them.

"Well, that was fast." The first officer said in relief. "But I still can't believe it that we went all the way here for nothing."

Elsewhere, Lincoln is seen to be running the street, alone. But knowing that the hooded figure is bad at cardio. He decided to stop for a while to catch his breath, only for a dog to bark at him, which made him run back to his feet in fear. Getting exhausted more and more, he rushed towards to a nearby bus, and was lucky enough to get in as it already drove off.

Inside, he panted in exhaustion, and sighed in relief. "Ah, that was so much better." The voice came from no other than Lincoln, who already started to sweat profusely.

He noticed that there was an old man, who looked at him skeptically. He placed down his newspaper and his eyeglasses are aligned properly so he can get a good view on the white-haired boy. Lincoln grew pale, since he thought that he was the only passenger inside.

"Uh… this isn't how you think this is."

WHITE RAPTOR

CHAPTER 5

HIS OWN WAY TO START

The Sealed Queen is a local jewelry store that was known for being the largest, yet the only jewelry store in Elliot St were the people live in and since it's practically close to wherever they wanted some necklaces to impress their fiancés, or transfer in some diamonds for money. Unlike all the jewelry stores both in the Royal Woods Mall inside, it was considered the 'best choice to have your places to go in Royal Woods' thing, since it's business was booming.

But somehow, their jewelries aren't the best thing that the bank has to offer for the people of Elliot St. Rumors stated that the jewelries were an eye catcher since all of the them looked well designed and its diamonds are authentic. Despite the rumors, people still come. And it also serves as the best and easiest heist for any robber. Which is already starting now.

Four robbers, each of them wearing a ski mask that resembled the primary colors; Red, Green, Yellow, and Blue, are collecting all the money that they can find. Some of them even checked one of the cash registers to see if there are much money stored inside. And they were also carrying body bags to secure their loot. And the store itself didn't start blaring it's

The yellow masked robber managed to grab a handful of one-hundred dollar bills. "Jackpot!" he cockily smiled under his mask as he stored all of them inside a body bag. His body bag seemed to almost full, since he was lucky to grab all of them.

The green masked robber was done with his part as he starts to zip the bag. Suddenly, his eyes got his attention when he saw a box of diamond necklaces that were being displayed. "Hey, boss. What about this here? These diamond necklaces sure look fancy."

"As long as it can be sold to the black market, then gos for it." The red robber, which happens to be the leader, insisted. The yellow masked robber opened the glass cabinet, and stole all of the necklaces.

"Uh, boss. I think it's best if we get a move on now." The blue masked robber reasoned. "I mean, don't get me wrong. But stealing these priceless jewelries are fun and all, but I think you should just leave the rest before the police comes."

Then he was nudged by an elbow, which happens to be a green masked robber. "Come on, don't be such a party pooper, pal. Are you even blind to start with – We're getting rich!" he brag about their smooth looting. "Besides, the cops will never be here. This is why we came into this place."

"He has a point there, you know." The red masked leader laughed. "It's not like someone's gonna stop us or something? But if anyone does, we can take it down for good."

Unfortunately, expectations can also be a glitch to start with. Jim Hudson, now in his Red Shade attire, was scouting from two miles behind the bank. When wearing his intimidating mask, it also has a function that can let him switch the vision lenses into x rays so he can see through anything. And if it gets dark, then there's already a built-in night vision setting.

As the x ray's frame enhanced, Hudson already spotted the robbers inside. There were still no signs of police and the four of them are now almost ready to finish their looting spree.

"I promised that kid that I'll come back after that robbery incident earlier. But… I have to deal with this. Besides, I'm sure he can wait." After finishing his with his scouting, Jim prepares himself to leap through the rooftops again to stop the robbers.

Behind his back, Lincoln already left the bus when it stops at a bus stop. Despite the awkward encounter and a lecture about wearing ridiculous clothes from the old man earlier, she shrugged it off from his mind and proceed to find Jim. Luckily, when he noticed Jim in his Red Shade attire jumping from rooftop to rooftop, he gives chase so he won't feel lost on where he's going.

As he stops on his tracks for a while, he already noticed that Jim stopped his jumping, and possibly entered in another building. The white-haired boy was still skeptical about the location of the crime scene, but he trusted his gut, and go on as he puts on his mask, and his hood on to hide his head. Plus, he didn't just run fast so he can hurry up. He was also making sure if there aren't more dogs again in the alleyways.

"Can't you hurry up with that safe!" the green masked robber yelled silently. "Normally, I would yell at you because your slow like a turtle, but we would really appreciate it if you try any faster!"

"I would love, too, really." The yellow masked robber sarcastically responded. "But this takes a lot of pressure, and concentration, to get this last safe open. I managed to open the rest while you were stuffing your face with some moolah!" he argued back.

"This is hopeless." The green masked robber complained. "I'm sure the police are on their way now, boss. Can we just leave the safe and go already?"

"No can do, Greg." The red masked leader said. "Like I said, the cops will be late. And we got the whole store in our hands. Why can't you just live a little and have some fun in your life!" he said non-chalantly. "Maybe you'll learn why left to be like us."

"I think you should listen to your friend there. The police might be taking a shortcut from here."

A voice called out after a door was closed, which got the attention of the robbers. Arming themselves with their pistols and shotguns, they panicked.

The red masked leader shouted. "Who's there! Show yourself!"

Jim appeared from the ceiling vent, and landed in front of them. "You have me right were you want me." He replied. "Now drop the loot, and no one" he drawed out his crossbow-submachine gun. "gets hurt!"

"Hey!" another voice called out. This time, Jim was included when he and the robbers was alerted by someone else. A smoke bomb was released from the open, and a figure comes out.

"What… the…" the red masked robber spoke in bewilderment.

The voice that popped out from nowhere was no other than Lincoln, in his makeshift costume. He was wearing a white jacket with black sleeves that was labeled with the word "Pow!" on it, but in a comic style. He was still wearing the same pants and shoes, but what's also added is that he was wearing a ski mask to hide his face. He even stand on his ground like a real superhero.

"Please don't tell me that's the kid! I can't be dealing this right now!" Jim thought in head.

"Hold it right there." He gripped his right hand. "Drop the jewelry, and no one gets hurt." He warned.

The robbers started to laugh at the white-haired boy after what he said. Jim just stood on his side, and he was feeling sorry for the boy's first response to the robbers.

"Yep. That's him." Jim groaned in his mind, as he recognized the white, and the voice.

The robbers stopped laughing, as they all calmed down. "Well, this was a great show that you two pulled. At first, we thought we're gonna get our asses kicked by a mask stranger, until this little weirdo showed up!" he snickered. "This was fun, but we really have to get going. I'm sure you two have other places to perform."

"I don't think so. You're not going anywhere." Lincoln said.

"Oh yeah, and what are you going to do?" The green masked robber said. "Beat all four of us by yourself? Maybe you'll start shooting laser beams from eyes!" he laughed at his insults.

"No. I'm gonna start throwing this!" Lincoln said as he threw a handful small orbs into the air. But due to his bad throwing skills, the small orbs missed the robbers, and it went straight to another display, which destroyed the glass and setting of the alarms.

"Thanks a lot! You set of the alarm!" the red masked robber shouted accusingly.

Lincoln's only response was. "Whoops."

"Get him!" the red masked robber said.

When the blue masked robber charges at him, he suddenly attacked by a swarm of rubber bullets that shot at him, knocking out his focus. As he was spun over, he suddenly met a punch and a cross punch from Jim, right after he finished it with an uppercut, landing him on the ground. But he gained consciousness afterwards.

"Oh, you're really gonna be paying for – AHHH! DAMNIT!" He started to scream in pain after an arrow was shot from Jim's interchangeable crossbow-submachine gun.

"Kid, do me a favor, and stay away, and don't get close." Jim instructed. He was tackled by the yellow masked robber, as he and the red masked robber joined in.

Lincoln tried to find a good spot to hide, but he was encountered by the green masked robber, who started to crack his knuckles as a sign of threat. "You're really gonna get it for what you did, you idiot kid!" he yelled out as he started to charge at him. But he was hit a couple of smoke bombs that Lincoln grabbed from his pockets. As the smoke clears out, Lincoln was already far away from him, until he started to give chase.

Back with Jim, he started to fight with the yellow masked robber with his only skills that he can use; a mix of kickboxing and karate. He delivered a straight, yet a devastating punch, followed by a roundhouse kick to kick him out of the way. Luckily, he dodged one of the weakest punching moves from the red masked robber, who was able to get overpowered by Jim's combined fighting skills.

Lincoln was running away from his life to avoid the blue masked robber. He tripped over a chair so he can slow down, but the robber was able to chase him still. Lincoln tried to grab something else from the bag as he grabbed another object that doesn't look like one of the gadgets from the Black Bunker.

"Gah! What the – ?!" the blue masked robber growled in frustration. He tried to get rid of the pepper spray on his face, but he just smudged it all over.

"Huh?" the white-haired boy noticed that he was holding a can of pepper spray. "Wasn't really intending to use this, but it counts?" Suddenly, he was met with a missed punch from the robber. Lincoln was able to dodged some of the punches, since some of them are familiar with the punches that Jim did. Lincoln managed to attack back by doing a jab, but it didn't have any effect since the robber looked bulky, and has thug body than the rest.

"Gotcha!" the robber grabbed Lincoln after removing the pepper spray liquid from his face. He has red eyes and is squinting from the effect, "Let's see how you like it if someone else punches back!" he threatened as he prepares to deliver a fist, until it was stopped when an arrow was hit on his hand, causing him to drop Lincoln. The white-haired boy used this as an advantage to push him, as he landed on a chair, which gave him a painful impact after.

Lincoln turned around to see Jim head locking the yellow masked robber. "Kid, what did I say?!" he yelled, but he didn't know that he was being chased.

"Look out!" Lincoln was supposed to reply something else, but his eyes caught the attention of the red masked robber head locking him back, and proceeded to choke him. As the yellow masked robber was out of conscience, Lincoln grabbed a taser that he grabbed from his backpack. He was thinking of something else, like a sticky bomb or a stun grenade. But whatever he has on his hands, is that.

Lincoln rushed to the Jim's aid quickly, "Hey, have a taste of some this taser!" He directly electrocuted him, which made the red masked robber pass out from the shock, as he lied down on the ground, who was now paralyzed as a side effect.

All the robbers are now passed out from exhaustion and the meaning beatings that they received from the two. Jim got up from his feet slowly, and witnessed what he and Lincoln pulled off. He was in disbelieved afterwards.

Lincoln cheered as he laughed nervously, after he successfully did his part. "Did you see that?! I almost didn't get killed this time! Oh man, that was so cool!"

Suddenly, a faint police sirens are heard from afar, and Lincoln stopped. "Uh… what's that sound?"

"It's the cops. Come on, we need to get out of here." Jim quickly said.

As the police cars arrived already in the scene, two police officers came out of the car and began to investigate the scene. They both noticed the four knocked out robbers on the floor, and an opened door.

"What did this even happen?" one police officer was in disbelief. "Normally, robbers and thieves would gotten away, but this is something far beyond weird. I mean, four robbers on the ground. Out cold!"

"I think you're having way too much coffee there, Randy." The second officer replied back. "But on the bright side, at least we have some evidence." He pointed straight to the arrows in one of the robbers.

"… thanks Diane. Reports from two police officers said that they witnessed a robbery when the alarms of the jewelry store was set off, which was the cause of two broken glass box that set it off. They even said that four colored, masked robbers are possibly the witness. But all they can know is that there are some arrows and bullet shells that are indicated as a crime scene. In other news…"

"Do you have any idea what kind of stunt did you just pulled there, kid!" Jim strictly yelled, who was now angry at the fact of what happened. He and Lincoln are both back in the Black Bunker. "Not only you didn't listen to what I said earlier, but you almost got yourself killed by four robbers in a jewelry store!" he grabbed a bottle of water as he drank it, probably to recover from the choke.

"I said I was sorry." Lincoln apologized, who was sitting on a chair, feeling embarrassed after what he did.

"Sorry, doesn't cut it, kid!" Jim exclaimed. "I can't believe you would follow me behind my back, stopped a robbery without any proper training, and you even made a whole scene after." He stared at Lincoln's 'costume'. "Good thing people didn't even recognize you from those clothes you're wearing."

He covered his face to as he calmed down a bit. "I don't know how to say this, but… you really got the nerve to go out there, and play hero? This isn't a comic book world, kid. This is a serious job. I don't even know what were you really doing when you followed me, but I know for sure that you almost got us killed. But again, this whole conversation is about you." He explained. "You should be thankful that you're still alive, otherwise you're in the news by now."

"Actually, you should've been thanking instead." Lincoln said back. It may sound like that those aren't the best words to spit out.

"What?" Jim asked. His tone was in a mix of both irritated and confused.

"First of all, I really wanted to admit that what I did was incredibly stupid." Lincoln admitted. "Believe me, I already thought that I was gonna get killed out there, but I didn't. It was kinda like… that luck was there with me." He guessed with a grin on his face, but it dropped. "Or probably… it was the gadgets."

He shook it off, and went back to what he was supposed to say. "But the point is, when I came there, I saved your life. I provided, like, some sort of back up when you're getting killed out there. And I'm not saying that cause those guys can fight. You saved me back from that alleyway when I was about to get mugged to death. But, in all what I'm saying… I'm just did you a favor. I'm not being selfish about this. I just taught that it was wise enough for me to do help you back there, and return the favor."

Jim was now then reflected back by the white-haired boy's words. Of course, even if Lincoln did was something that would fit the word 'suicide' on it, he still managed to fight them for him. He may be a vigilante in Royal Woods, but somehow, even if his thinks that he can't take them on. Lincoln's reckless, yet brave, actions could've saved his life. If it weren't for him following him behind his back.

"Wow. I… never thought of that. Really, I didn't." Jim started to chuckled a bit. "Maybe what you did was brave, but still, it would've killed you. But… at least you admit it. Maybe you were right, kid. You did save my life out there. And, somehow, I'm starting to feel great about it." He stated. "Maybe a little."

A smile crept on Lincoln's face, when he asked. "So, those this mean we're still going continue back to were we left off?"

"No. Not yet." Jim answered. "It's getting late. Might as well head back home and get some rest. Be here in the first thing of the morning. We're going to continue were we left off that time." He explained the details, right after he added. "Oh, and don't be late."

"Got it." Lincoln gave out a thumbs up.

As the bus stopped at the Loud residence, Lincoln, now in his normal clothes, stepped out from the bus as it leaves. He checked what time was it, and noticed that it was almost 12 midnight. The house's lights were all closed, and he didn't hear anyone in case if they're still awake.

"Okay. They're asleep." The white-haired boy sighed in relief, as he silently made his way to the front door. As he opened it, he realized that he can hear a faint sound coming from the living room. Once he entered, he noticed that his two sisters, Lana and Lynn, were up watching TV.

"Oh, hey Linc. Good thing you came. You just missed that movie we watched before." Lana was the first person to greet her older brother.

"Why are you and Lynn still up?" Lincoln asked.

"Uh, duh! It's Friday night, genius." The jock answered. "So, how's your project with Rich-ville Junior."

"Uh… good. It was really good." Lincoln lied, hoping they'll buy it. If he would say the truth about his meeting with Jim, then the two will start to get serious when they asked more questions.

"Alright, great for you then." Lynn said back, in a bored tone. "Lana, change the channel. I wanna see if they had that wrestling match going on."

"Uh, yeah. No way I'm doing that. I was the first to have the remote." Lana stated, who was holding the remote on her hands.

"Okay… this is getting too much for me to see." Lincoln broke their conversation, and marched his way upstairs. "I'm heading to bed. Night."

As he placed his bag at the side of the corner in his room, Lincoln didn't bother to change, as he just lie flat on his bed, and looked into the ceiling, remembering what he had been through.

"I really need to focus in this vigilante stuff."

So yep, probably the longest. I was suppose to add this in the previous chapter, but I know wanted to put a cliffhanger for this. So yep, probably the previous chapter was a bit disappointing, since it got short. Anyway, please leave a review as always, and I hope to see you in the next chapter.
