Hey everyone, I'm back. This took me too long to make and it was worth it. This is, by far, the longest chapter I have ever made ever since I started working on this. I this, I hoped, finally paid off. I already lost track when did I made this, but I'm just glad that I was able to make this chapter. Now to the reviews.
NiteOwl18 - Thank you. Actually, it was my intention to put him in the future stories. In case if anyone wants to see a Jameson references, but again, thanks.
CartoonFF - Thanks. Don't worry, I understand. Just glad that you found this story great. And also thanks for pointing out the errors. I'll fix it in no time.
Enjoy reading.
Tuesday morning came, which spread a bright day in Royal Woods. Lincoln woke up from his sleep after hearing his alarm clock go off. He yawns as he stretched first before starting his day. Because today is a day of no school, due to a festival being held at the city, along with a parade to celebrate it.
After a shower and some fresh clothes for school, Lincoln heads downstairs. There, he was met with his seven sisters and two parents in the kitchen. They too, were also informed about the festival, but since it's a one day on no classes, they decided to start their day before heading out.
"Morning, son." Lynn Sr greeted, who was cooking breakfast for the family. "I made your favorite. Bacon, eggs, and two bagels. Just how you like them."
Lincoln grabs his plate. "Thanks, dad." The white-haired boy then walked his way to sit with his sisters. As he sat on his chair, he began to eat breakfast with them.
Lola, who was minding her own business on her phone, had her face shifted to surprise. "Hey guys, you better listen to this." She spoke, with a little excitement. "The vigilante's name had a real name all along."
"Well, whatever it is, I hope it's cool." Lana berated. She stuffed her face with some eggs. "I hope that name is Dwarf Boy, or Dwarf Man."
"Dwarf Man? Sounds a bit too off for his style." Lucy stated. "I was thinking his name would be Phantom Rider."
"And it's still a name that doesn't fit!" Lana groaned, putting down her fork. "Luce, I told you five times, the Criminal Hunter doesn't have a car, or a horse! And he isn't some cowboy to start off."
"Well, I hope it'll be true." The goth hoped. "Someday, he will have a ride off his own."
"I would agree with you, dear sister." Lisa replied to Lucy. "For sure, this vigilante with no proper name given must have a vehicle of his own. Coming from the reports and the blurry picture from said reports –"
"Yeesh, enough already! We get it!" Lynn interrupted in annoyance. "Come on, Lola! Spill out his vigilante name already! Show us a video or something."
The pink wearing sister followed, only because she wanted to and not talk about it instead. Before playing it, she put the volume up for them to hear it, followed by playing said video.
"Last night, the vigilante Criminal Hunter has strike back in the night once again, only to stop the thieves, who are still at large for stealing the Hand diamond in the California museum, who are now arrested afterwards. The thieves will be serving a ten-year imprisonment, for hiding also in the public eye…"
"Serves them right." Luan praised, also paying attention to the news.
"In related news, a mysterious note that was placed in the thieves' getaway van, which has the words written White Raptor on it. The police had reported that this could be his real name. Guess we'll have to call him White Raptor for now on then..."
"So, the vigilante's name's White Raptor now?" Lana spoke afterwards. "Nice!" she squealed.
"White Raptor, huh? At least he doesn't Rex things up!" Luan giggled at her own joke, and her siblings followed by a groan.
"Now that his name is revealed to the public, one thing that must be answered is why he chooses that name in first place." Lisa questioned. "Why would the vigilante name himself after a velociraptor and the color white?"
"Yeah. He didn't even say why since he wasn't interviewed in a camera." Lola said, also wondering why. "What does his name mean?"
With a silent thinking and guessing had started seconds now, they all got their attention to Lincoln when he spoke. "There's a reason why he chose that name."
Everyone looked back at him. Lynn had a grin on her face. "Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Lincoln's a huge comic geek in this house. Maybe he can give us an explanation."
"So? What's the meaning, Linc?" Lana asked. "Care to tell us, oh wise one." She snickered a little from what she said.
Lincoln then started to explain. "Well, to start, his wearing a white costume, with some black details here and there. But the point is, he is like the light that will guide this city with hope. And to the Raptor part. He's been out there fighting crime and saving the city ever since. He's been stopping criminals like if it's his prey. He sees his prey and chases them as the merciless, unforgiving, and violent criminal scum they are, by getting them to meet justice."
The family gaze and paused to what their only brother/son explained. Everyone in the room quiet, so quiet, Lynn Sr dropped his spatula. Some of them are also thinking that Lincoln had a good explanation. While some of them are saying that Lincoln is just bluffing out some nonsense.
"Wow! Now that's a good explanation. Coming from a guy who reads comics all day." The tomboy twin commented. "No offense for saying this, but I almost doubted you from what you said."
"Yeah. I think Stinkcoln makes a good point in all of this." Lynn grinned. "He sounds cool based on his name to start with."
"I also agree. He sounded mysterious, which I personally like." Lucy commented with admiration.
"Even if the White Raptor is a vigilante, I wish him good luck for his good deeds to this city." The genius thanked.
"Well, all I can say is that the guy is a hero." Lynn Sr also commented good things about White Raptor. "I just hope the police don't run him off. We never had a hero that protects this place." This received some mutters of agreement and facts coming from the rest of the family.
"You're right about that one part, dad. But there's always the RECON military that's around." Luan stated. A statement that's entirely true.
"Luan is highly correct. There is a chance that Lori, Leni and Luna will be here in Royal Woods after graduating themselves to be professional heroes. But since Lori's almost done with hers in a few years, there will be a high chance that the White Raptor will be arrested." Lisa explained, since she knows this stuff more.
"Then we'll just tell them in advance about the guy – They can be partners, or team up with him someday." Lynn suggested.
"Yes. But the highest risk with working with an amateur hero, or vigilante as you would all say, will be at the scale of a fifty-fifty. Fifty percent of still keeping their hero license and career, and fifty percent of being removed from their hero status."
Lana groaned irately. "Seriously, when's the RWPD gonna learn that the White Raptor is a hero, and not some threat all because he fights in nights! I bet they're going to regret everything they're going to do to him when they arrest him." She nudged Lincoln's arm, who's beside her this entire time, "Right, Linc?"
"Yeah. Right." The white-haired boy chuckled, but tries to keep his composure. His family are now looking at the city's new protector as a hero. Luckily, they still don't know that Lincoln is the new named vigilante White Raptor.
Out in the city, people are now talking about the White Raptor everywhere. From the newspapers to the televisions they have with them, and to the citizens to the workers from place to place, they were giving out their thoughts about the new hero that appeared.
Some of them are giving out their honest opinions about him. Good and bad, both mostly all of them are good. The only important thing is that everyone is viewing him as a hero. The hero that they never have in their city. The new hero of Royal Woods.
At the Sentinel Corps…
"Sentinel Corps. As of today, the company that I once owned for thirty years, has now been as the principle supplier of the Unite States military as of today." The voice of Edward Greenville spoke, in front of a group of board members of his company, in an office. "In summary, members of the board, we have accomplished the one thing, that will make the world great again."
"That's marvelous to hear, Edward. Marvelous." A CEO of the company, sitting six feet away and facing Edward on his seat, said with a positive tone. "But that's not the case of all this, I'm afraid. As matter of fact, it's the reason we're selling the company."
"What?" The Greenville businessman said in great fear as he frowned.
"Well, you see, there are seventeen laboratories, and from other countries to include, starting with Michigan, New York, Japan, and Switzerland that were all part in a wake of a bombing, that destroyed several of their experiments and equipment." The CEO said. "We decided to give Sentinel Corps to BioSpace to recapitalize, and to aid, from said bombing." He explained to the still confused Edward. "We accepted a deal. A deal that we cannot put down."
"Why wasn't I told?"
"They needed something, like a power struggle type. Something with a better and improved management."
Another board member, with the name Hale on his nametag, spoke. "Their deal also states that if you are included, we will be removed from their offer." He added. "The board made a vote that you need to be kicked off within a month."
"H-Hold on. Wait. Y-You can't do this to me." Edward stammered as he rose from his chair. He smiled weakly. And takes a deep breath. "You do know, that I started this company ever since my father had passed away. I work hard for this. I work hard to make this happen and to earn it. You can't let my hard work all go to somewhere else." His smile now turned into an outburst of disbelief and anger. "You know how much I sacrificed!?"
The board members exchanged looks at the angry Greenville businessman. Some of them looked at him with no pity, while others just simply look at him like a garbage can.
He then remained calm, and turned to face Hale with remorse. "Hale. P-Please, you can't do this. There has to be a way."
"Edward. The board meeting has made its final decision, and we all agreed. We're announcing the sale after Royal Woods Day." He informed. "I'm very sorry, Edward."
This made Edward only feel nothing but getting defeated. He never knew that this day will come into his life. He sacrificed a lot, for him, the family legacy, and in hopes someone else to run it. But he is always counting on his son to be the next heir of the company.
"Don't worry about it, Edward. Your company will be in good hands." The CEO just simply smiled at him. "Besides, you still have another career with you, and that's you being the mayor of Royal Woods." He mentioned as he mocked about his mayoral campaign, "You're out, Edward. You're done."
Edward didn't react to the news about him. He suddenly now felt weird inside him. He felt like that he wanted to deal with his problems himself. He felt like he wanted to get back what was lost to him. That was, something caught his attention from his mind.
Edward replied back, with a calming and reassuring smile on his face. "I see... I'll see my out first." The Greenville businessman stormed out of the board meeting in anger. He then grabbed a device from his suit, and just looks at it, as if he was holding a something that caught his eyes.
WHITE RAPTOR
CHAPTER 9
FIRST VILLAIN
Royal Woods Day. The event is now being held at the city's largest open space as of now. The day where Royal Woods was founded during the early 18th century from way back then. The city was founded by a man under the name of Cornelius Frederick Allaband. Frederick Allaband was a man who served his country during the American Revolutionary War. After the war, he founded the land with sixteen other soldiers with him, and created Royal Woods, which began its start.
During the festival, everyone around Royal Woods were present for the event, but mostly for the festival. The citizens around the city are enjoying and having a good time to celebrate an event. For the Loud family, Lynn Sr and Rita are enjoying themselves by drinking some sodas that's being sold in larger cups, Lynn and Lola are playing water gun game to win whatever they want in the prize booth, Lana and Luan are somewhere in the crowd enjoying a song number being performed for the crowd, and Lincoln is with Lisa, Lily, and Lucy, who are playing at a game booth, just like Lola and Lynn. So far, the family were having a good time ever since they arrived.
A ball was thrown at the target, and it was successfully hit. Not even a miss. The thrower was no other than Lincoln. "Yes!" he triumphally said.
"Well, I'm impressed, elder brother." Lisa said in amusement. "Before, you used to have a bad and terrible throwing mechanism from both of your upper limbs back then. But now, it seems you have improved your throwing skills. And judging by that target, no one can even make that shot with great force."
"Yeah. What's the secret, Lincoln?" Lucy asked, who's also carrying Lily. "How were you good at this?"
"Guys, I told you before, I was just good at doing it." The white-haired boy said to his sister right before throwing another ball. "And maybe I've been drawing for so long, I think I manage to have upper arm strength." He is also wearing his backpack with him. For unknown reasons, he just brought it with him.
"Now that's just ridiculous." The genius denied the theory. "Just because you draw a lot, doesn't mean you gain some arm strength as you would call it. It just doesn't make sense."
"Actually, I kinda do believe him." Lucy agreed with her brother. "It's pretty obvious since he always draws in his sketchpad more often."
"Right you are, Luce." Lincoln corrected. Lisa just nodded in disbelief. Lincoln then thought of something. "I just wish the three were here. Lori would love the games, and both Leni and Luna will definitely love the music here." Then he felt sad afterwards. "Especially Pop-Pop…"
The two sisters also frowned, but nodded in response. It would have been better if the whole family were together, but it would also be great if their grandfather were here. Ever since after… what happened to him, the family will never forget what happened to him that day. But somehow, they all managed to recover that time, but Lincoln didn't. It was a… hard time for him.
Lily, on the other hand, started to giggle happily and started to wave her hands happily. "Ucy! Ook! Ook!" Lily called out by tugging Lucy's black jacket.
"Lily, what is it? I –" Lucy then turned her head to see what took Lily's attention. "Oh, hey. You must be Lincoln's friends."
Just then, Daniel and Wendy came as they both approached the siblings. Edward chuckled lightly. "Lucy, come on, you know me ever since me and your brother met. You know, back when during the first three weeks of school?"
"Sorry. I just don't meet people that often. It's probably either from my powers or the fact we don't know each other that often." Lucy explained.
"Hey, we understand. Besides, Lincoln was the one who gave us the basics about you guys." Wendy then knelt down on the ground to talk to Lily. "Oh, hey Lily! Wow, you're such a big girl now, aren't you?"
"Lily is a big girl!" the three-year old said happily. Wendy just giggled happily. Ever since she was introduced by Lincoln to his family, her attention when she first step into the Loud residence is that she was happy to meet Lily for the first time. And probably that was it.
"So, what are you guys doing here?" Lincoln asked, entering the conversation room. "I bet all of you are wondering where've I been, huh?" he asked in a jokingly way.
"Mmm… not exactly though. But good guess, though." The hockey scholar grinned. "I think Daniel misses you so much. He's been asking 'I wonder where's Lincoln at' for an hour." She chuckled.
"Come on, I bet you miss Lincoln too, Wendy." Daniel said, which made a shocking expression on the girl's face. "I can see the look on your face." He teased, but it wasn't effective.
"God, you're so bad at teasing. Almost forgot about that." Wendy said, rolling her eyes.
Lisa cleared her throat. "Sorry to interrupt your conversation you two, but I think it would be best if we will go, so you two can spend the day. We just taught it will be best if we do so."
"Also, I think Lily wants something too." Lucy pointed out to Lily, who's constantly drooling already on her mouth after staring at a lemonade stand. She and Lisa prepared to leave. "We'll see you later, Lincoln. Have fun though." She said back. Something she normally never says, buy whatever.
Lincoln waved back when Lily wave at the white-haired boy and his friends. "Okay. So, what do you guys wanna do?" This received a smile forming on the two faces. They have an idea.
Later, the trio are both spending the day together. There were lots of things to go to first. Some of them are like balloon shooting and playing some retro arcade games inside a booth tent, with Lincoln being good at it. Then, they started drinking some of the three-mixed flavored smoothies located somewhere in the food isle. So far, the all but Daniel had suffered brain freeze after drinking too fast. Then, they were eating one of the combined foods that they have consumed, like a pizza with mac n' cheese, and a taco pasta with Bolognese sauce as the meat. What's funnier when they were eating their meals, the hockey scholar convinced the two boys to combine whatever food they had. Combining their food even if it was combined already. Weird. And lastly, they even enjoyed the songs that was even played by a band that's only doing it for a gig. Lincoln and Wendy both danced to the beat, while the Greenville boy danced poorly, but he enjoyed his day nevertheless.
So far, the trio enjoyed their day during Royal Woods Day. What could go wrong?
Later, the trio are by the table, taking a break from all the fun they had. They were all happy of the fun they had. Some of them even took pictures to remember it, because the event only happens once a year.
Wendy, along with Lincoln and Daniel, were chuckling at each other as they were telling some stories about their time in the festival. "Wow. I can't even imagine how much of a pro you were in videogames, Linc." She giggled. "I bet you almost felt your hands getting some cramps."
Lincoln reassured when he motioned his hand. "Hey, I might be the only one being good at doing this." He then pointed to his best friend. "But let's not forget what this guy did! He almost finished twenty hot wings!" Lincoln chuckled at the memory. "Seriously, how good are you able to finish them all?"
"I've been a fan of spicy food ever since, Lincoln, have you forgot?" Daniel reminded his white-haired best friend. "I'm completely like a memo pad to you, all the time." He joked.
"True. I might forget all the time, but this is completely normal for you I guess, since your rich and all." Lincoln stated, which made them all laughed afterwards.
"Well, now I'm all boosted for another round in the festival. I heard that they're playing a song from Gorillaz. You might like it." Daniel stood up from his seat, and reached out his hand at Wendy. "Miss McGee?" Wendy just rolled her eyes and smiled, as she reached him back.
"Hey, Linc, wanna come with us?" Wendy offered.
"Oh, no, I can't." Lincoln said in a weak tone. "I'm still trying to recover from what I just ate earlier. Sorry, guys."
"Hey, it's no biggie, Linc. I understand." The Greenville boy reassured. He whispered at the white-haired boy's ear. "But if you're ever wanted to come, you know where to find us, bud."
Lincoln nodded in response with a smile, and the two headed off to the bumper cars already.
Elsewhere, the board members from the Sentinel Tower arrived to the festival moments later, which caught the attention of Daniel. He was wondering where was his father at? Usually, Edward would always be with the board members, discussing about everything they need to know about the company. And it caught his attention.
"Uh, hold on for a minute, Wendy. I need to talk to someone first." Daniel said. "I'll meet you at the waiting line. And save me a spot, too." He added.
"Sure. I'll save you one if I can." The hockey scholar joked. He smiled back, goofily.
Daniel approached to the board members already, and greeted them. "Mr. Hale, hello. What brings you here?"
"Oh, Daniel. What a present surprise to see you." Hale greeted back, shaking his hand. "How are you today?"
"Just hanging out with my friends. Nothing special there." He chuckled a bit, then he began to question this. "Is there… any chance my father was with you?"
"Oh, I'm sorry Daniel," the board member frowned. "But I'm afraid your dad isn't coming today."
Daniel scowled at Hale's statement. "Great…" he grumbled. "Not another one of his mayoral campaigns."
Meanwhile, Lincoln was still at the table, recovering from his fun day with his friends. Then, he heard something beeping, and only him can hear it. He then pressed something that was placed on right ear. "Hello?"
"Hey, kid."
"Hudson? What is it this time? Anything bad?"
"Not really though. I just want to know if there was anything suspicious happening during the festival?" Hudson asked.
"Nothing's going on at all. Just the same celebration that happens every once in year." Lincoln reported.
"I'm sure you'll come by, too." Lincoln added, when his voice came from Hudson's earpiece. "This festival has everything."
"I'm sure I'll come by sometime, but it's not really that interesting." Hudson commented back with a bored tone. "New York's festival was a lot better, and more fun. If you're heading there for vacation, you should go there and take it for a chance."
"As if anything there was interesting." Lincoln doubted.
Hudson just made a reassuring face, as a silent reply. While he's busy mingling with the computer in case if there will be anymore crimes happening, the computer itself started to beep rapidly. Hudson indicates this as a signal that there's a crime happening.
"Kid, I think you'll have to put on your new suit for this, cause the computer just spotted something." Hudson informed. He started to check out what was in the signal.
"Is it another bank robbery? Turf war? Assault?" Lincoln guessed. He hoped it's another typical crime happening in the city.
"No. Neither of those things are not even close."
"Then what is it then?"
"According to the computer's scanner, it's says it's a person flying on a jetpack." Hudson read from the computer. Lincoln raised an eyebrow in confusion. "Well, this is new."
On the sky, a faint roar was heard, which came from a jetpack, that looked almost similar to the one that the mysterious villain used. Judging from what he was wearing from afar, it looked like that the person was wearing a helmet and an all-black suit.
One of the board members saw this too, and the first person to ask was the CEO. "What is that?"
"I don't know, but I'm sure that it's the special entertainment." Hale guessed.
Everyone in the festival, everyone, from the people present to the entertainers from the booths and stage, started to hear the same noise as they turned their heads, asking what is that. The Loud family, Daniel, and Wendy also noticed what was coming in their way.
The CEO squinted his eyes, trying to know what was it. He knows that it's getting closer. "Wait – That's our glider! How – How was it stolen?!" he was outraged by the new discovery.
Once the black suited masked figure came, everyone started to cheer in overwhelming happiness. Maybe Hale was right. This could be a special entertainment. Lincoln was the only who didn't cheer, since he thinks that this is the crime emergency that Hudson was talking about. He watched as he, and a couple more, started to follow him. He was suspicious by his appearance.
Elsewhere from the crowd, "Oh yeah, the special entertainment is here!" Lana yelled in joy. "Woo! Do something cool!"
"Yeah, what she said." Lynn, who was with her, also yelled in excitement.
The rest of the sisters, the parents, and Lincoln's friends remained confused still. As the figure landed somewhere where he's more far away from the crowd, everyone cheered once again and hoping that their entertainer will do something fun. After kneeling down from the ground when he landed, the masked figure drew out his sword. The sword began to glow afterwards when he gripped the handle too hard. And once he gripped said sword, he immediately sliced his weapon in made air.
Which released a mix of fire and it's dark red energy out from it. And it looked dangerous.
BOOM! BANG! CRASH!
Said red beam that was emitted from his sword started to create a chain reaction when it exploded at a building's terrace, which caused some of the people on top to panic when the building started to shake as well.
Everyone started to panic after his first move was made. Everyone from the bleachers, the booths, and the entire area itself, started to run away in fear. The Loud family started to run away too with the crowd, but are in separate places. The board members all take shelter in another building that wasn't touched, and Daniel and Wendy joined them too.
"Come on, we'll hide here." Daniel grabbed Wendy's hand as they both dashed their way in.
A second slice from the masked figure's sword hit the same building, which now caused to explode when the energy-fire was impacted. The people inside the building began to fall from the terrace, and the rest immediately left the building since it also caused a fire.
The sword then run out of energy. The villain then charged it again when his left arm started to glow dark red. The raw energy from his left hand was wiped onto the blade, now it's covered with a red glowing aura. He used his sword again to slice the air and bombed another building this time.
Lincoln, in the other hand, was running in hopes to find his family, his friends, or anyone in danger. Despite being a vigilante, one thing that he needs to do is that just needs to save the people regardless. Costume or no costume, he needs to do this.
He stopped his running when he noticed his three sisters who are trying to find a way to leave, were about to meet a falling debris on top of them. Immediately, the white-haired boy dashed his way towards them, and pushed them, along with him, out of the way in safety.
"Lincoln! You saved us just in time!" Lisa was shocked and thankful for being saved. "If Hawking were here to see this, he would be astonished!"
"Yeah, but how did you do that?" Lucy began to ask. "And how did you get here so fast?"
"Uh… our coach pressured us for laps! All the time!" Lincoln lied, but it was an easy excuse to get them to believe them. "Quick! You need to find the others. Get them to safety, too. I'll also find them." He sprinted his way to 'find' them. "Hurry!"
"Incoln! Wrong way!" Lily warned, trying to get her brother's attention.
"Lily, we know he is, but we need to find the others, too." Lucy addressed. "Don't worry about him, he'll be safe."
T three sisters began to find their family members. Lincoln was now running away as he started to run towards an empty alleyway. Lincoln managed to pull out his long-sleeved shirt, revealing a different costume design, and pulling out a pair of two sticks first from his bag.
"Hey, Hudson. Remember when I was busy in that other room?" Lincoln asked.
"Yeah? What about it?"
"Well… time for me to put it in good use."
Meanwhile, the villain was still in havoc as he is still causing some damage to the festival. He doesn't seem to give up after throwing a lot of energy-fire from his sword. He remembered that he flew by and glanced at the board members from the Sentinel Corps. The villain then marched his way inside the destroyed building.
A few people are taking cover inside the building. They were trying to calm down from the recent incident that's happening now. The few people inside are now getting scared, hoping to will be save if White Raptor shows up. The board members were frightened at their jetpack being stolen which made them question why and how he stole it. Lana, Luan, Daniel and Wendy – who are also hiding from the villain – are also one of the few people that are hiding.
"Ugh, why can't you let me fight that guy?" Lana complained at Luan. "I mean, I have animal-wrist changers, I can turn into a hawk and fly out of here to get help, or a gorilla to stomp that masked guy, or a –"
"Lana, you're still young to this." Wendy interrupted. "Besides, did your teacher ever told you about the Power Usage Law?"
"The who and the what now?" Lana asked.
"You know, the law that doesn't let you use your powers." Luan translated. "The Power Usage Law states that if anyone tries to act like a hero without a license, they can be given a warning or an arrest warrant." She explained, not even breaking out a joke.
"Are you sure this isn't some joke?"
"I would love make a joke, but right now, we're being hunted by a guy in a mask."
"What about White Raptor? He doesn't need a restraining order just because he's a vigilante." Lana asked. "How about that?"
"It's a different kind of perspective for him, kid." Daniel stated. Lana just groaned instead.
Their short conversation was cut short when they, and everyone in the room, all heard a faint sword slice, gunshot, and a screaming police officer. The two order police officers who are guarding everyone inside prepared to open to the door.
But then, the villain barged in. Everyone was now panicking when they all saw him killing the two officers with his sword, one by one. Clearly, they were also outmatched by his sword skills. The citizens are now feared of what will happen next. The villain walked slowly, menacingly.
Everyone let out a few gasps, but some screamed as he was getting closer. The villain stood on his ground as he stopped, saw the board members, and growled with his teeth as he aimed at them from where they are.
"No, please!" Hale begged. The other members were also begging for their life to be spared.
"Sorry. But you're out." The villain spoke in a cold tone. Holding enough energy from his hand to his gun, he let out a big blast of energy fire, which incinerated the board member. It also caused a large hole at the corner.
Shocked at what she saw, Lana made X sign to her chest, which also made her 'animal wrist changers' glow, and morphed into a racoon. Lana, now a racoon, immediately rushed her way to the villain, which also caught the attention of Luan.
"Lana, wait!" she yelled. "Get back here!"
She didn't listen, it was too late for her to go back. The now-racoon Lana pounced into the air and shrieked to get the villain's attention, but was suddenly knocked away by his arm swinging at her. Lana rolled from the floor and transformed back. She was then met with a foot pinning her.
Everyone gasped once again. Luan tried to rush at her aid, but was stopped when Daniel grabbed her in time. Wendy just watched in horror for about what's gonna happen next.
Lana was groaning to struggle her way out from his foot. The villain spoke. "You should've learned that you're still a kid, playing hero right at a villain? Pathetic." He reloaded his weapon as he pulled down the hammer of the gun, which stopped the steaming at the back of the gun.
He aimed the gun right in front of Lana's face. She was this stupid to act out and save the day like a hero would do. She was nervous and already fearing her death. She was also probably telling herself that maybe the Power Usage Law thing was really true, or the fact that she wasn't supposed to be a real hero.
With the weapon glowing dark red already, the villain just let her watch, as she prepares to meet her death. Everyone was just watching her helplessly, and doing nothing to stop it. If only there was someone –
"Look, it's White Raptor!"
One civilian yelled. Huh? That's weird. Everyone heard her cry as they all looked at where she was pointing at. Luan, Daniel, Wendy, and Lana were shocked to see him appear. The villain looked to find, as he was also shock to see him appear in daylight.
White Raptor did appear indeed inside the building. He swing his way as he grappled the ceiling. The vigilante kicked the masked villain, sending him flying to a wall. He tried to grab his sword, which was also with him when he was kicked, but it was immediately grappled away.
"I don't think you'll be using that anymore." White Raptor gloated. He turned back to the citizens. "Everyone! Get out of here! Now!" he told them, and everyone followed. Luan even grabbed Lana as the two sisters are now safely out of harms way.
Lincoln wears now a new different version of his old suit. The white mask now has a new look, it had a sleeker looking one, because of its black linings. A pair of eye lenses that looked look like they were made by a costume designer. He even wears a white bulletproof suit, which almost looks like a leather jacket with the White Raptor symbol on it. His black pants are covered with some with white knee pads, and the same shoes are just the same.
"So, you must be the White Raptor. Royal Woods' new hero." the villain assumed. He really was now pissed. "I expect that you're going to stop me?"
"Well, yeah, that's why I came." White Raptor pointed out. "You do know you're ruining a once-a-year event? What are you even doing?"
"It's none of your business." The villain aimed at him with his charged gun, ready to shoot him with his powers.
Somehow, the vigilante prepared an avoiding strategy. He immediately grappled the ceiling again, and dodged the shot in time. While swinging in the air, he also kicked the villain out of the building's room. About to meet the ground, he immediately flew to safety. Lucky bastard.
White Raptor saw him fly wherever he landed. He landed at an apartment's rooftop. The Royal Woods hero immediately chased him at his ground when he grappled in the air. The villain noticed either way. He emitted another energy-fire from his sword, which struck a helicopter's tail rotor and not White Raptor, causing it to go out of control when it combusted.
The pilot was able to escape as he parachuted his way out. The helicopter on the other hand, crash landed at another building as its rotor blades turn into small shrapnel fragments, causing it to take out a large parade float as it slowly falls due to losing its air inside.
Back at the crowd, Lucy, Lisa, and Lily were finding the others. Lily somehow tripped, and let go of Lucy's grasp. As she got up from her feet, she noticed that the parade float was about to crash onto her. She didn't do anything but just watched it go at her.
Lucy and Lisa didn't know that Lily was left behind, until the goth realized something. "Wait, where's Lily?" she found Lily with her left eye. Shocked, she immediately run back, and tried to scream at her best. "Lily! Get back here! Lily, look at me!"
White Raptor heard the yelling of Lucy as he looked to his right. He was surprised that Lily wasn't even listening to her. "Lily! Why isn't she moving?" he asked. He even noticed that she's only about five feet away from her. "Come on, Lily. Lucy's calling you." He said, as if he's trying to get her attention. "Come on, get out of there."
As Rita and Lynn Sr also noticed the parade float, they all spotted Lily, which made their faces filled with fear. "Lily! Oh, my God! My baby!" Rita cried.
Lily was now this close to meet her end as the parade float was now almost nearing her. White Raptor immediately grappled his way to save Lily as he swinged her out just in time. And instead of handing her to Lucy and Lisa, she was handed to by the Loud parents.
"Momma!" Lily yelled. She was immediately hugged by her mother.
Angered that he missed, the villain landed back on the ground, only to meet a couple of RWPD officers, aiming at him with their guns. "Hold it right there!" an officer said. He was now surrounded.
"You have me where you wanted, officer." The villain simply said, raising his hands in the air. He even walked slowly.
"I said, hold it right there!" the officer repeated, as he slowly tries to arrest him. Unfortunately, he was countered by the villain's attack. The other officers charged at him, only to be counterattacked as well. He brought his sword, and sliced the officer at the abdomen.
Before another was about to get killed, White Raptor immediately came just in time, and blocked the sword. "Go!" he yelled at the officer as he did so. The vigilante didn't hit him back, but effortlessly tried his best to block the blade with his Boom Sticks.
He managed to stun him by hitting his right hand, causing him to drop his sword. Lincoln delivered a baton swing at him, but the villain managed to grab it in time. This surprised the vigilante more.
"Impressive." The villain smugly complimented. He swatted Lincoln's hand away, and proceeded to punch to the jaw, and delivered a kick which send him flying at a table, and finally a lamp post striking his back. Ouch.
The villain, now having an open space, started to shoot the vigilante with his energy-like powers. The blasts were directly going toward to him.
White Raptor managed to avoid it. "What the –"
The blasts were directly going to hit the vigilante, which was intended to kill him. Each blast was missed as he reloaded to hit him again. Luckily, White Raptor managed to avoid the blasts coming at him. He was good in his reflexes, ever since he trained with Hudson.
A missile was launched out from the villain's jetpack. Since it wasn't a homing missile, White Raptor managed to grapple away to avoid it. The villain on the other followed pursuit on the vigilante. He thrusters from his jetpack was so fast, it immediately grabbed him before White Raptor could grappled somewhere else.
The vigilante then tried to blind him from flying. This caused the villain to lose his focus and the altitude of the air, causing them both to entered at a balcony, and landing and crashing straight to the floor. White Raptor's Boom Stick's were out from his hands.
The vigilante tried to grabbed them as he tried to get back to his feet. He was suddenly grabbed behind his back by the villain, who somehow recovered from the crash. He put the vigilante into a chokehold, which made him struggle away from his grip.
Immediately, White Raptor headbutted him, getting free from his choke. By the time he delivered a hook punch to the face to blind him, he was immediately grabbed again by the villain as he tossed him to the floor, only for him enable him to get his Boom Sticks.
When he finally grabbed his two weaponized sticks, he prepared once again to stop him. But then he paused at his ground, only to find the villain's gun being aimed at him. The vigilante was in a tight situation.
"Think twice before you act, hero." The villain stated. "You don't even have a gun with you, or something you can shoot with."
"True, but I have what I call, a tactic." White Raptor stated. He had an idea. Besides, he was the Man with A Plan for nothing.
His first move was throwing his Boom Stick straight to his face, which made his lose his focus on him. Immediately, White Raptor swarmed at the villain hold his arm that was holding the gun. The villain tried to shake his grip away, but White Raptor was able to keep him at hold. Despite that, the villain fired his gun. The flaming blasts then destroyed the ceiling, and another just directly went straight to destroy a balcony
White Raptor groaned as he tried to overpower him. He then disarmed his firearm away from his hands. The young vigilante grabbed his thrown weapon from the ground, and struck him on his body, and followed by tasering him to the ground.
He was defeated. And just like that, a villain was easily defeated just like the other criminals that the vigilante encountered.
White Raptor's mind was running. He thought of two things: He wanted to take off the mask to see who's inside it. And he wanted to hand him over to the police, so he can also prove to them that he's actually trying to save everyone. One was a spoiler, and the other was just for being a selfish type of hero.
But he was out of his trance. He heard a loud crack coming from a building. He rushed to an open area to see if anyone is about to get crushed to death with falling stones from a well-structured, but destroyed building.
He spotted two people: Danie and Wendy. The only guess is that they were trying to avoid the crowd and hide again until they escape once more. Daniel had his leg crushed by a debris, but Wendy didn't. She stayed behind to get him out. But they don't know that a balcony was about to crack, which will crush them soon. Lincoln immediately acted out as he grappled way to rescue and help them.
Wendy tried her best anyway to pull Daniel out, but she noticed White Raptor coming. "White Raptor! Over here!" she called out.
The vigilante made it. "Okay. You, I need your help to carry what's crushing his leg." he instructed. There was worry from his tone, and from their faces. He counted. "One… Two… Go…!"
They both tried to lift the boulder off of him. Daniel managed to escape. The balcony immediately started to get destroyed. Quickly, White Raptor shoved them in harms way, and him included, right before the debris pummeled them to their deaths.
Both of Lincoln's friends were saved. Daniel, knowing that he still sees the vigilante as a hero, smiled. "Thank you! I know you're really a hero." He complimented. Wendy gave him a reassuring and calm smile as her own way to thank.
White Raptor nodded as a response, and they left off. Suddenly, the same jet thruster roared once again in the air. The villain recovered, and flew away immediately. White Raptor was about to give chase once again. Until he heard a familiar voice come by.
"Stop right where you are!" Morris yelled, aiming his gun at him. Back-up from the RWPD came as they all have their guns trained on him. "White Raptor, you're under arrest for breaking the law, and acting out on vigilantism." He pointed out.
The vigilante was about to say something, but he was cut off. He wasn't done talking.
"Anything you say or do will be held against your will." The detective added. A police officer approached behind White Raptor's back to handcuff him.
Hearing the chains rattled, and deduces that it's handcuffs, Lincoln immediately stopped him as he swatted the handcuffs away. He immediately grappled his way to the rooftops. If he can't convince them, this was the only way.
"Open fire! He's escaping!" Morris ordered. Several gunshots from the RWPD officers were immediately fired, but all bullets missed.
The crowd, and the Loud family, saw the vigilante run off to safety as they all cheered for his job well done. They even gave off some positive remarks for his bravery and act of heroism. Even Daniel and Wendy saw him run off and cheered along with the crowd.
White Raptor was now far away from the now-destroyed festival. He grappled to a rooftop of a bank, and stayed there for awhile to catch up his breath to recover from his heroic deed and his fight with the villain.
The white-haired boy removed his mask. He was now confused about the new villain that arrived in Royal Woods. He wanted to know details about him: Who is he. What's his powers. And where did he come from.
"Kid. Hey, kid. Are you there?" Hudson contacted. He sounded desperate. "What happened? Did you stop the villain?"
"No." he responded. "He got away. I can't find where he is."
"Yeah. I did that, too. Tried to track him down, but the computer gave me anything." Hudson explained. "How're you holding up?"
"Good. I just…" he stopped for a second.
"Just what?"
"I just… I just think I encountered my first villain."
He was supposed to be happy that he encountered one thing that a hero would always have: A villain. The villain who would appear for the first time, fight each other, and escape so they can have a rematch, but it was called 'revenge' for villains. Or whatever the case was for comic book history.
But the point is, Lincoln Loud just encountered his first villain. He encountered his first villain that terrorize his home.
The sun was setting already in the city. Everyone from the festival incident were still recovering from what happened as they were treated by the paramedics. The RWPD are also trying to check the scene as their crime investigation. The citizens who were saved by the vigilante were thankful that White Raptor saved them.
Lincoln exited the building, now wearing in his normal clothes, as he starts to find his family. He wasn't that worried, since he saved their lives and was hoping if they were safe. Luckily, he managed to spot them. He noticed that his parents were questioning the officer, which could be about him.
Lincoln rushed to their aid. "Guys!" he called out. "Woah, what happened here? What happened to you?" he asked with sympathy. Again, he needs to keep his identity and personality a low key.
"Lincoln! Thank God you're alive!" Rita said as she dragged him close to a hug. "Are you okay? Are you hurt? Where did you hide?"
"Mom, relax. I'm fine. Nothing happened to me." He reassured to his mother, calming her down. "I should be the one asking if all you are fine."
"We are, son. We are." Lynn Sr reassured next. "It's just that we're glad you're safe."
Lincoln just smiled. He always knew that his family is safe. But as a vigilante, it should be him who should say it. It should be him saying something like 'I was the one saving you' since they were running for their lives. But he decided not to. It's for the best.
Lola and Lana both approached Lincoln with eager smiles on their faces. Lana was the first to speak. "Lincoln, you won't believe what just happened! White Raptor was here! He saved the day! On a day time!"
"Wait. Really?" the boy just gave out an awkward smile.
"Uh, duh! He was here, like an hour ago!" Lola obviously stated. "You should've seen it, Linky. He was so great out there, trying to stop that villain masked guy! He was like a real knight in shining armor." She happily sighed. "I even regret what I said about him."
"Ha! Looks like you were wrong!" Lana mocked, receiving a groan from her pink twin.
The white-haired boy chuckled. As if irony struck back that one of her sisters are now comic geeks like him. Or hero fanatics. "Well, it's a shame I missed it. I was busy saving myself."
"In the buildings?" Lana asked.
"Yeah. I mean, where else am I gonna hide?"
"Good point."
Lincoln turned to his right and noticed both his friends being catered together by the paramedics. Daniel was busy on his phone and has a crutch since his broken leg was treated. Wendy was being treated with her wounds by paramedic. Wanting to check on his friends, he decided to go.
"Hey, guys. I'll be back. I need to see Daniel first. Is that okay?" Rita nodded in approval, and Lincoln walked by to him.
"What do you mean he wasn't there? He was clearly right here, and he saved a bunch of people!" Daniel yelled to his phone. "Of course, you think that wasn't true, because you were busy with somewhere else! And I don't have to repeat it, because I know you." He let the person on his phone talk, and was immediately hung up. The Greenville boy groaned in annoyance.
"Hey, guys." Lincoln greeted as he came. "I just wanted to check if you guys are alright?"
"Oh, yeah. We are, Linc." Wendy chuckled. "I mean, that's why we're being treated by professionals. Guess I'll be needing a dressing for my wounds back at the food truck."
Lincoln snickered at her little joke. He looked back to his best friend, who was clearly pissed off. He was calming down a bit, he needed to be calmed right now.
"Hey, Daniel." The white-haired boy calmed. "Are you feeling alright?"
Daniel forced a smile, not wanting to look bad. "Yeah. I'm fine, Linc. Don't worry about it. It's just a broken leg. They said I'll be healed in three weeks."
Lincoln can tell that he wasn't calm. Wendy heard his voice, and she wasn't buying it. So, he decided to kick in his supportive side. "Daniel…"
"He didn't care." the Greenville boy took a deep breath. "My dad's always saying that I always get into a lot of trouble all because I was acting childish." He scoffed. "I mean, can you believe that? I'm a matured person. Sometime I fool around, but can you believe him telling me that? It's like he doesn't believe in anything that good." He grumbled that last part.
"You do know that acting like that won't even work at all? It's just going to make you feel worse." Wendy reassured.
"I'm sorry, Wendy. It's – It's just that he doesn't always… come here to check on his son. His ONLY son. And all what he did is just say that he's busy. I mean –" Daniel sighed in defeat. He decided to follow his friend's advice.
Wendy just hugged in him immediately to calm him down. Ever since Lincoln was friends with these two, they sorted acted each other like siblings. Siblings that they, but Lincoln, don't have when they're growing up. It's like they're sticking out with each other.
Lincoln felt sorry for his best friend. He knows how it feels to have someone close to you, only to let them be far away from them as possible. It was like Pop Pop all over again.
"Hey, Lincoln. Can I ask you something?" Daniel spoke.
"Sure. Go ahead." Lincoln let him speak.
The Greenville boy began to speak. "Have you ever what's inside that villain's mask? You know, you wanted to unmasked their mask and look at what's hiding under beneath it? It's like… if you're imagining, whoever the villain is, could be like someone close to you." he explained. "Have you ever felt something like that?"
This hit Lincoln so many times, but he remained calm. He had to control over it. "N-Not really, why?"
"Look, I don't know. But here's my point. When I saw that villain came in here. I just wanted to ask one thing:" he translated. "What was that thing? Who is he?"
"I don't know." Lincoln responded back. "But whatever it is, somebody has to stop it."
He knows exactly that only he can stop whoever that villain was. He might be the only one who could stop him. Somehow…
That was it. The villain appeared for the first time. Lincoln now experienced it for the first time, and tensions are even rising high. The next chapter will be posted in the same time when I finished Chapter 9. I can't promise you when will it be posted, since I need also a break from writing. Anyway, please a review, and I'll see you in the next chapter.
