Another time jump here, not a big one. I'm not sure about some of this, but it just came out while writing. I had it pointed out I messed up a few things so I went back and fixed it. Chapter 15
Callie
Sofia was getting ready for her intern test. Where did the time go? The last year seemed to fly by. She and Zola had camped out in the living room, like they used to do when they were teenagers. I knew they'd pass, they have the Torres Method after all. Smiling to myself, my daughter was a doctor, I'm so proud of her. A million thoughts are running through my head, when I feel a set of arms wrap around me. My safety net, my home, closing my eyes when I feel lips on my neck, Arizona, yes she was my home. After all these years I was still madly in love with this woman. Turning around, in her arms I feel myself melt when I look into those blue eyes. The look in her eyes told me she was feeling the same. "hi" she hums softly
"hi" I smile, as she places a soft kiss on my lips. I can feel it all the way to my core, "how was your day?" I ask, I hadn't seen her since we left the house that morning
"good" she smiles kissing me again and pulling away, I felt cold from the lack of contact. "need any help?"
"if you wanna grab the veggies outta the fridge" I smile as I see her nod and head to the fridge. Watching her bend over, my god that ass, only got better over the years. "Calliope stop staring" I hear her laugh
"what? I wasn't" I don't know why I bother trying to hide it, I've done this for the past 20 plus years.
"you were" she turns around "you always have" she winks
"well, stop being so damn sexy and I wouldn't" I wink back at her and turn to finish the dinner preparations. We work in comfortable silence, until we hear "fucking right" come from the living room.
"Sofia Robbin Sloan Torres, we don't talk like that" Arizona calls out
"Sorry momma"
"it's like she's a teenager again" I say laughing
"except she's not" Arizona laughs "she's an adult, getting ready to take an important test"
"exactly" we hear from the doorway "and I just got something right that I've been struggling with"
"you got this baby" Arizona says smiling at our daughter
"hey um, there's something I've been meaning to talk to you guys about" Sofia says making her way farther into the kitchen.
"oh" I look at Arizona who shrugs her shoulders.

Sofia
Zola and I have been camped out in the living room for the past week, we were either at the hospital or here. "have you told them about you know yet?" Zola asks
"no" I look around to make sure they were still in the kitchen and couldn't hear the conversation
"Sof it's been" I cut her off "I know" in a sigh
"they probably already know" she laughed, it was like that with our parents when something happened to one of us they always found out before we told them.
"I've been doing a good job at hiding it" I say nervous "I just don't know"
"they will be happy for you, I'm happy for you" she smiles at me, holding up a card asking me the question on it, it was the card I've been having trouble with, when my answer is correct "fucking right" I call out. And hear my momma yell at me from the kitchen, Zola and I laugh "I feel like we are teenagers again" she laughs
"right" I say standing "I'm gonna" she nods knowing what I'm doing. Taking a deep breath, I stand in the doorway of the kitchen watching my mom's I hear my mom say "it's like she's a teenager again"
"except she's not" my momma says
"exactly" I smile and explain about my out burst. Momma says something about me crushing the test, I wasn't paying too much attention, clearing my throat "hey um, there's something I've been meaning to talk to you guys about" I say making my way into the kitchen. I was nervous, why was I nervous, I know they will be happy.
"are you pregnant?" momma asks
"um no" I laugh
"then why are you so nervous to tell us?" she says not taking her eyes off of what she was doing
"Sofia just say it" mom says not turning her attention away from what she was doing but I see her give momma a smile
"ok, um" I clear my throat "Lauren proposed"
"and?" momma says still not looking at me
"I um" god I'm shaking
"well what did you say?" these two were going to drive me crazy
"she said yes" Zola said standing in the doorway, I look up at my best friend and mouth thank you. She smiles at me, and nods.
"so you're engaged" momma says still keeping her focus on whatever she was doing guess years of having conversations in the OR has taught them that.
"I guess I am" I smile
"are we happy about this?" mom asks.
"we are" Zola says making her way farther into the kitchen, that was her second home since we can remember. "couldn't be more happy about it"
"well then" momma says turning around the look on her face makes me nervous, but when my mom turns around they both let out a squeal I've never heard from them, and hope to god I never had to hear again. "our baby is getting married" my momma says, I don't know if I've ever seen her this excited.
"wait hold on" my mom says "where's the ring?"
"um" I reach up for my necklace, the one they had gotten me when I was younger with my dads name on it "here" I say holding it out.
"why the hell aren't you wearing it" my mom asked
"well, I" words failed me at this point, thank god my bestie was here
"she wanted to tell you guys first" Zola was a life saver, she and I were like stories I've heard from my moms about auntie Mer and auntie Christina. I've heard stories about how they used to be called the twisted sisters, although I'd like to think Zola and I aren't twisted, but who knows. "let me see" momma says her hand out, I reach behind my neck to the clasp on the necklace, slowly taking the ring off so I wouldn't drop it, I hand it to her. "nice" as she turns it around in her hand the light catches her wedding ring, I can't help but smile "she makes you happy?" mom asks
"so much so" I smile
"then why the hell isn't she here studying with you?" my mom asks
"well um" I shrug not really knowing the answer to that question
"call her and get her here" my mom says in her demanding tone "and you" she turns to Zola "you have anyone?"
"no" Zola looks down
"are you sure?" I have to hold back my laugh
"yes I'm sure, all I do is work, I have no time for anyone" Zola laughs
"ok" mom laughs "when you do, don't be afraid to tell any of us" I see Zola nod "now go call your girl and get her here you guys have studying to do"
"ok mom" I smile, pulling out my phone sending Lauren a text… so I finally told them~ Sof
And?~ Lau
They want you here~ Sof
Should I be scared~ Lau
Maybe~ Sof
I'm on my way still at the hospital~ Lau

I love you too beautiful~ Lau
Zola and I are back in the living room now "so that wasn't so bad" she says
"thanks to you, I totally went blank" I laugh
"yeah I noticed" she laughs "I've always got your back"
"ditto on that bestie"

Arizona
Callie and I knew something was going on, but we weren't sure what, Sofia has been kind of distant the past week or so, she said it was because she was nervous about the intern test coming up, but now we know different. "so" Callie cleared her throat "how do we actually feel about this?"
"are you kidding?" I look at her "Lauren is great"
"yes she is" I see her smile
"and Sof is happy" I smile taking a bite of a carrot, I see Callie nod "Calliope"
"hmm" she hums
"our baby is getting married" we let out that squeal again, "do you think she's going to be moving out?" I ask suddenly it hit me. Sofia was all grown up, she was no longer the little girl who played with dolls, and had tea parties. I feel the tears start to sting my eyes "oh honey" Callie says wrapping her arms around me, "she'll always be our baby girl"
"yes I will" Sofia says from the doorway "momma you know I love you, and you too mom, I owe everything to the two of you" she moves closer "all my life I've watched the two of you, and I want what you two have"
"you love her?" I ask
"I do" Sofia smiles, it's the same smile Callie has when she talks about me. "do you remember when I asked you how you knew you loved each other" I nod, afraid that if I said anything the damn would break, she looks at Callie, "the way you told me you felt when momma first kissed you, is the way I felt when Lauren first kissed me" she smiles "the only difference is I wasn't afraid, because you guys taught me not to be"
"oh baby" Callie said reaching out to pull her in, she wraps her arms around both of us. The three of us are now crying, all you can hear are sniffles "wait where was your first kiss" Callie asks, Sofia pulls out of the hug "Joe's" she says laughing
"please tell me it wasn't in the bathroom" I say looking at Callie
"no, we were at a table" Sofia smiles "how can this not be right?" she asks
"only you know what's right or not" Callie says running her hand through Sofia's hair "and we are super happy for you" she smiles, I let out a little chuckle, "what?"
"you said super"
"no I didn't"
"um, yeah you did" I hear Sofia laugh "who are you and what have you done with my mom" she asks
"did I just hear Dr. Callie Torres say something was super?" Zola asks from the doorway
"shut up and get in here" Callie laughs, pulling Zola into our family hug.
"we are so proud of both of you" I say "you're both going to do amazing things"
"thanks" both girls say in unison, we are broke apart by the doorbell "that's Lauren" Sofia smiles, I can see the twinkle in her eyes by just saying her name. Callie and I both squeeze them one more time and step back.

Alone in the kitchen again, I look at my wife "they had their first kiss at Joe's"
"I know" I laugh "kind of ironic"
"no what's ironic is the fact that Sofia is you and Lauren, let's face it, she's a lot like me" Arizona says
"blonde hair, blue eyes, perky attitude" I smile "I have an idea" I kiss Arizona then leave the room. Going upstairs, into the spare room where we still had some boxes in the closet, I find what I went looking for and make my way back downstairs "hey Lauren"
"yes Dr. Torres" she looks at me
"first off, you're in my house, and engaged to my daughter" I pause looking at her "call me Callie"
"ok" she smiles and nods
"and second" I hold up the heelies "please put these on"
"mom no" Sofia laughs
"what's going on?" Arizona asks coming around the corner from the kitchen "awe my heelies" Lauren is still just staring at me "well go ahead" I see Zola bump her arm
"seriously?" Lauren looks at Sofia I see her nod "ok" she moves closer and takes them, I watch as she sits down putting the old shoes on "I'm surprised we even still have them" Arizona says
"I may have hid them" I wink
"hey they fit" Lauren says
"good" I say "come on" I nod towards the door
"mom, we should really be studying" Sofia protests
"five minutes Sof" I smile, as the five of us head outside to the sidewalk
"what exactly am I doing?" Lauren asks confused
"you gotta flip the thing with your foot, then lean back" Arizona says, and watches as Lauren does just that and skates down the sidewalk "oh this is great" I'm now laughing "will you please wear them to work tomorrow"
"um" Lauren looks at me "with all due respect Dr. T… Callie I don't think"
"please" I plead "just pass Bailey a few times then you can take them off" I'm now laughing
"Callie" Arizona laughs
"come on, don't tell me you wouldn't love to see Bailey's face when she goes skating by her" I say trying to get my point across to my wife
"that would be hilarious" she says, we are both laughing at the memory from so long ago
"um, why am I doing this?" Lauren asks "and can I take them off now?"
"yes" I say, wrapping my arm around my wife and going back in the house
"Calliope" Arizona says, she used my full name so I know she's about to say something important, I look at her "why did you"
"you said she reminds you of yourself" I see her nod "so I just thought" I stop "oh come on Bailey's face, it'd be awesome" I say using Arizona's favorite word
"ok I'll let it go" she smiles and kisses me.

Callie was right, it would be hilarious to see Bailey's face after Lauren skates by her. It would be like a flashback. We managed to talk Lauren into it, after telling her the story. I'm now walking through the hospital hallways with my interns trailing behind me. Seeing Bailey up ahead, standing at the nurses station, I nod to Lauren, and watch as Zola takes out her phone. I see Callie coming the other direction, and we both smile. I hear Lauren let out a laugh as she does the thing with her foot and skates on "good morning Dr. Bailey" we hear her say skating on past.
"Dr. Taylor" she nods, then looks up "Dr. Taylor" she says louder as Lauren stops "what on earth are you wearing"
"aren't these cool, they're called heelies, or something" she says I can tell she's holding back the laugh, Callie was right this was so worth it. Callie is now standing next to Bailey, I can't hear what she is saying but I can tell she's holding back her laugh "you" I hear her say looking at me. Holding up my hands in defeat "it was all her" I say pointing at my wife
"you two are" she shakes her head "skating around the hospital who the hell does that" she says walking away
"an infant on roller skates" Callie calls after her, then turns to us and starts laughing
"I don't know what that was about but to see Dr. Bailey like that it was hilarious" Williams says
"ok time for work" I say "Williams go find Dr. Karev, Sloan you're with Torres" I wink "Grey-Shepard pit, Taylor, you're with me" I smile
"can I please take these off now?" she asks "I honestly don't know how you used to wear them"
"they were comfortable when they were new" I laugh "go, meet me in peds in 15"
"ok Dr. Robbins" she says skating away
"that was awesome" Callie says, then turns to Zola "please tell me you got it on video" Zola nods then shows us the video "you need to find your mom and show it to her"
"ok" Zola says "see you at lunch" she says to Sofia and starts walking
"how does she feel about you and Lauren?" Callie asks, I was always wondering the same thing. They reminded me of how Meredith and Christina were back in the day
"she's happy for me" Sofia smiles, I see Callie nod, "we have surgery in 30, OR 4"
"ok mom" she smiles and heads off. I hear both mine and Callie's phone ping. Pulling it out I see Zola had sent us both the video. "this is awesome" Callie says pressing around on her phone. "yeah" I laugh looking at my wife "I'll see you at lunch" I lean in placing a kiss on my wife's lips and walk away. I can tell her eyes are on me until I turn the corner. Pulling out my phone I type a message, then lock it sliding it back in my pocket.

That was awesome, I always love seeing Bailey like that. I'm watching my wife as she walks away. She is and always will be the sexiest woman alive, in my eyes. I hear my phone ping with a message 'on call room at noon' ~ Ari. I know I'm smiling like an idiot
'what if I'm still in surgery?'~ Cal
'you wont be'~ Ari.

My mind on what is going to happen later in the on-call room I push myself off the counter and head towards the OR. Coming through the scrub room door my daughter is already there staring into the OR. "penny for your thoughts" we both laugh "ok I shouldn't have said that" I walk up next to her.
"good thing I hardly remember her" Sofia says not taking her eyes away from the OR.
"yeah, she was" I stop
"she was nice to me, that's all I really cared about" she says turning to me, giving me a sad smile "mom"
"hmm" I hum while reaching for the soap I can feel her eyes on me
"what happened, why did you two break up?" the tone of her voice is soft, I let out a deep breath, it had been so long ago, almost feels like a different life "you're momma asked me that once, and I don't think I ever told her" I see her nod out of the corner of my eye "remember that day she didn't come home, and you and I went to the park and got ice cream?"
"that was the day I got chocolate all over my favorite shirt"
"yeah" I stop scrubbing for a second "that morning before she left for work, I happened to come across her phone unlocked, I wasn't trying to snoop but there was a message from some woman asking her to meet her later"
"she cheated on you?" Sofia says, it was more a statement then a question "yeah" I let out in a sigh "it wasn't working anyway, I don't know why I even tried, I knew before you and I left for New York that it wasn't going to work, but I was determined to try, so many things had failed at that point I just wanted one thing to go right"
"well none of it matters now, that was a long time ago" I hear my daughter say
"it was, and the best thing I ever did was come back home, your mom" I smile thinking about Arizona "I love her so much, I always have, and being apart, even though it was hard, made us stronger in the end" I see her nod "Lauren is great, she makes you happy, don't let it go for anything, if I could go back, I wouldn't have let your mom go"
"want to know what I think?" Sofia says, I nod "I think that being apart, although it sucked ass" I give her a look, and she laughs "it was the best thing that could have happened, I was there, I saw you both change for the better, momma was in a bad place when you split up" she was cut off when the OR door opened and our patient was wheeled in "we'll finish this later" I smile "doctor mode"
"right, Dr. Torres" she says both of us laughing.

Standing at the nurses station going over a chart with Lauren I hear my name "Dr. Robbins" I look up to see Peggy and Dana, a couple I had helped a few months back. "hi" I smile
"we just wanted to say thank you for all you have done" Peggy says handing me a tin of cookies. "you can call them lesbian gratitude cookies"
"ok" I look at Lauren as I open the lid "thank you"
"no Dr. Robbins thank you" Dana says pulling me in for a hug, I smile returning the hug, she lets go and they leave "well" I hold out the tin "cookie"
"don't mind if I do" Lauren says reaching in the tin and pulling one out, taking a bite "damn these are good" I reach in and take a bite "mmmm" I hum "you're right"
"Robbins" I hear Bailey's voice, and have to hold back a laugh, she looked like she was still mad about earlier "Bailey" I say
"what was that stunt you pulled earlier" she says eyeing up Lauren
"well" I start to say, trying not to laugh, suddenly remembering the cookies in my hand "cookie" I hold it up, Bailey gives me her Bailey look and reaches for one. "I'm watching you two" she says walking away.
"was she always like that?" Lauren asks
"pretty much" I laugh, hearing my phone ping in my pocket I look up at the clock, seeing its almost noon, I pull it out seeing Calliope on the screen 'I'm waiting…..' ~ Cal. "hey I have to go, um" suddenly I feel nervous "go, I'll find Karev" she winks I hold up the tin for her to take a couple cookies. And make my way to the on-call room to find my wife. Opening the door, I see her sitting on the bed, damn she's hot. "what you got there?" she asks nodding to the tin
"oh" I hold them out "lesbian gratitude cookies" she laughs and takes one,
"damn good" she says, munching on the cookie "but not as good as you" she says finishing the cookie then pulling me in. Callie is just about to do that thing I love when my pager goes off. "oh god don't stop" I say as it goes off again. "dammit" I say reaching for it, seeing it's a 911, letting out a disgruntled sigh I push my wife off me "I gotta go"
"I'm coming with"
"clean your mouth first" I say kissing her, loving the taste of me on her
"I'll just have another cookie" she says reaching for the tin. As we leave the room, on the way I offer everyone we pass a cookie. Once I get to the lobby where I was paged I see Peggy and Dana "oh my god Dr. Robbins"
"is everything alright?"
"yes, yes, we're sorry it's the cookies" I hear Dana say "they were accidently made with cannabis peanut butter"
"what" Callie says behind me "Arizona how many people have you given these to" she asks holding up the half-eaten cookie she was still munching on.
"um, well you, Lauren" I stop my mouth open "Bailey"
"Bailey" Callie laughs looking at the couple in front of us "we'll take care of it" she smiles
"we are so sorry" Dana says
"no need to be, although the whole hospital might now be high" Callie laughs touching Dana's arm "we got this" she winks. We say our goodbyes then head off "so, who didn't have one?"
"Mer" I say, turning the corner and seeing Meredith walking down the hall "hey Mer" Callie says pulling her into a conference room. "hey great job on getting Bailey earlier, Zola showed me the video"
"yeah it was awesome" I sing I can feel the effects of the cookies kicking in "shit Cal" I say looking around
"what's wrong with her?" Meredith asks
"well these cookies" she says pointing to the tin "are weed cookies"
"ok" Meredith says
"and my wife has given them to" she pauses "everyone" I say smiling
"shit" Meredith laughs "guess I'm calling Bailey and having an emergency meeting"
"Bailey had one"
"what" Meredith says laughing
"yeah" Callie laughs
"have you?" she asks my wife, at this point everything is hilarious to me I hear Meredith say something but I'm lost on what it is, but I can make out "just stay here" she points to a chair.

Only Arizona would be handing out weed cookies, I can start to feel the effects of it, so I pull Arizona down in a chair. "am I in trouble?" Arizona asks looking at me
"no, you didn't know" I kiss her head as she starts to giggle
"how about we finish what we started" she says reaching out pulling me into a kiss.
"Arizona, we are in a conference room" I pull back
"so, we own the hospital" she says as her lips smash into mind
"oh my god please stop" Sofia says coming into the room with Lauren and Zola
"you had some cookies" I ask seeing the girls nod
"my mom sent us here" Zola says
"momma got everyone high" Sofia says plopping down in a chair giggling
"Sofia have you been high before" I ask, not wanting to pry into my daughters social life but wanting to know what we would be dealing with "oh yeah" she says looking at Lauren "you're pretty" she says touching her face "ok" I say looking at my wife who I think is having a hallucination, and jumps out of her chair and out the door. "dammit" I say jumping up and following her. "Arizona" I call out but she's gone, before I could tell the other three to stay in the room they are following me. Arizona is now running down the hallway and if I'm not mistaken I can hear her say "weeeeee"
"damn for an old woman who only has one leg she can run fast" Lauren says
"how many has she had?" I asked looking at the younger blonde
"um" she's quiet for a moment "3 I'm not sure" she shrugs
"great" I roll my eyes, I see Meredith up ahead, she had grabbed Arizona and is now scolding her like a child.
"this is great" Zola says
"I told you to stay in the conference room" I hear Meredith say
"the unicorn wanted to play" Arizona says, I have to bite back my laugh as my eyes meet Meredith's "come on" she says grabbing Arizona's hand "um, Mer I love you and all but I'm happily married" Meredith shakes her head I walk up grabbing her other hand "I got her" I say
"I thought you had her in the room"
"yeah well" I shrug
"there's my sexy wife" Arizona says, it's a good thing we are in a part of the hospital that doesn't have too many patients. "come on" I say pulling my higher than a kite wife into one of the training rooms. "now you guys stay here, no more running around the hallways" Meredith says as she leaves again. Arizona plops herself down on the couch next to Lauren.

To be honest I'm not that high, I've been worse, much worse, with all the drugs they had me on after the plane crash I have a high tolerance. I was having fun and wanted to see how Callie would react, and I got the reaction I thought I would, now we are stuck in this room. I look around and see Lauren on the couch so I plop my ass down next to her, look at her and smile "yes" she says turning to look at me. "do you love her?"
"what?" she asked confused
"do you love my daughter" I ask more quietly, this was something I've been wanting to ask since I found out they were engaged "yes I do" she smiles "very much"
"hmm" I hum then lay my head on her shoulder "promise me something"
"ok" she says
I close my eyes to focus, I was starting to see double, when I open them again she is back to normal "promise me that you'll talk, tell her how you're feeling, it doesn't matter if it's that you don't like her shoes" I lift my head to look at her
"ok Dr. Robbins"
"I'm serious, lack of communication caused me to lose everything once" I could tell by the way she was looking at me that she understood. "if I could go back" I pause shaking my head "I love Callie and I've made a lot of mistakes, we both have and I don't want to see Sofia go through the same, not saying you'll make the same dumb choices I made, but just communicate"
"ok" she smiles, the door comes open, Meredith and Jo are standing there "ok" she sighs holding the tin of cookies "these cookies are off limits "I want a cookie" I say reaching for the tin, pulling it out of her hand before she can retract it, I reach in grabbing one stuffing it in my mouth. "Arizona" Meredith scolds.
"why do I feel like we are teenagers again" Zola says from a chair in the corner, I just smile as I munch on my cookie.

Dammit, she's already had too many and now she's having another one, I hear Meredith say something but am more focused on my wife. "I'm going to take her home, not like we can do anything here anyway" I say
"I live across the street why don't we just go there" Lauren says
"she's right, it's probably not a good idea for you to drive Cal" Meredith says in a sigh
"momma can you act normal enough to get out of the hospital" I hear Sofia ask
"I am normal" Arizona says shoving the last piece of cookie into her mouth, I look down seeing she's in her scrubs, but I don't want to risk running into any of her patients families or anything. "Sof will you go get our stuff from the attendings lounge?" she nods and stands "we'll meet you out front"
"ok mom" she stands to leave as Lauren follows her.
"alright, cookie monster let's go" I say reaching down to help my wife
"I'm gonna stay here, I've only had one cookie" Zola says looking at Meredith who nods and says "at least go to my office where I know you're safe" the mother in her came out
"ok mom" Zola smiles, stands and leaves.
"weed cookies?" Meredith says
"hey a patient gave them to me, so not my fault" Arizona sings the last part
"how many has she had?"
"I'm not even sure at this point, just get rid of them" I say shaking my head "I've only had one" and a half since I was in the middle of eating the one when they told us I tossed it in the trash.
"but I want them" Arizona protests
"no" I say as I see Meredith dump them in the trash "oops all gone" we laugh
"ugh" Arizona says throwing her head back
"come on, the girls are waiting" I say leading her out of the room.

Lauren and I are out front "where are they?" she asks looking around I laugh, I've seen a drunk Arizona a time or two in my day "momma probably tried to run again"
"you're family is crazy" Lauren laughs
"yeah, you sure you want to be apart of it" I wink at her
"oh most definitely" she smiles leaning over kissing me.
"good" I smile back at her, I can hear voices, it was my mom "Arizona no" she says, when they come into view I see my momma trying to, god I don't even want to picture what she is trying to do. "what is she" Lauren starts to say
"don't" I say turning around so I didn't have to see it,
"can we please get her somewhere that's private?" my mom says in a voice I knew she was getting irritated
"I love you Calliope" my mom sings "Calliope" I look at Lauren who is laughing, "come on" she nods towards the street. Reaching for my hand as we begin to walk "you know I should probably try and help my mom" we both look back and see her pull my momma "mom maybe we should put her in a wheelchair"
"I'm not a cripple" momma shouts
"that's not what she's saying" shit I know that tone I haven't heard her use that tone on my momma in a very, very long time. "I got it" Lauren says walking to the other side of my momma wrapping her arm around her, my mom has the other side "ok ready?"
"where are we going" mom asks, it's then that I realize I haven't' told her that Lauren lives in our old apartment "there" Lauren nods
"hey that's our old place" momma says
"yes" Lauren smiles as we cross the street luckily there wasn't much traffic. Finally inside Lauren's apartment, my momma is now on the couch, still in her white coat and scrubs, I look down and realize we are all in our white coats and scrubs. "maybe we should get some food" Lauren says standing and heading towards the kitchen "I don't have any food" she laughs
"I'll order something" my mom says pulling out her phone.

Callie
Great just fucking great "they aren't delivering" I say dropping my phone in my lap "apparently there's a storm coming" we all look towards the windows, where it was snowing.
"How did we miss that?" Sofia laughs
"I can call Joe's he's always open"
"pizza" Arizona says
"how about a burger" I say meeting her eyes
"mmm burger, and fries I need fries" god my wife is adorable "ok" I smile picking up my phone it rings a few times "Joe's"
"hey Joe it's Callie"
"oh hey Callie, what's up?"
"I was wondering if I could place a to go order" I say looking at Sofia "we'll go get it mom" she whispers and I nod, hearing Joe "sure what can I get you?"
"4 burgers with fries"
"mmmmm fries" Arizona says shaking my head I hear Joe "sure anything else?"
"no I think we're good, Sofia is coming to get it"
"sounds great give me about 15 minutes" I hear through the phone
"ok thanks Joe" I hang up the phone "he's always open" I smile
"I'm going to get changed, do you guys need something more comfortable to put on?" Sofia says standing up.
"I'm good for now, thanks though" I smile at my daughter.
"me too" Arizona purrs
"alright" Sofia says heading into the bedroom, I look over at Arizona who is playing on her phone "Calliope, how do I" she says pressing something and I hear a loud song play. "oops" she looks up at me laughing. "baby what are you trying to do" I ask
"I'm not entirely sure" she looks up at me, and smiles
"maybe it'd be better if I take this" I reach for her phone
"probably I don't need to accidently text or call anyone"
"anyone you'd do that too knows you're high so they'd expect it"
"hmm" she hums, laying her head on my shoulder "do you know how much I love you"
"you may have mentioned something along those lines to me before"
"no Calliope" she says "Calliope" she sings "I love your name, have I ever told you that?"
"yes" I smile
"were gonna go get the food" Sofia says coming back into the room
"ok" I nod I couldn't move by this point Arizona is almost sitting on my lap. "you want some money?"
"no we're good" Lauren says coming in, I watch as she places a kiss on Sofia's cheek. I can't help but smile. Sofia had grown up to look just like me, with Mark's smile, and in some weird way Lauren reminded me of a younger Arizona. They said something that I didn't catch before shutting the door leaving Arizona and I alone. At the sound of the door closing Arizona perks her head up. "Where are we?" she asks
"Lauren's" I say
"this looks like our old apartment" she looks around
"that's because it is"
"that's funny" she says still looking around "they remind me of us"
"I was just thinking that" I say, she leans her head back on my shoulder, as I continue to look around. "part of me feels like we should expect Mark to come in any second" she says
"remember that time Lexie caught us in the shower"
"yes" she laughs "I was about to scream your name, your fingers were so deep in me" I hear her moan. The next thing I know she's in my lap straddling me, kissing me hard, but passionately. She moves her mouth from my lips to my neck "god Calliope I'm so fucking horny right now, can we please finish what we started earlier?"
"baby, we are in our daughter's fiancées apartment" I try to pull her away but she hits that spot that always turns me to mush "yes, but" she pauses nibbling at my ear lobe "no one is here, so no one would know" she does have a point, by the look in her eyes, and the way I'm feeling it won't take long. "ok but be quick"
"trust me, it will be" she smiles going in for my neck again.

Sofia
The snow had already started to pile up as Lauren and I make our way to Joe's "how crazy is it that your mom gave everyone weed cookies" Lauren laughs
"you've been around long enough to know this isn't crazy" I laugh "momma always had the craziest shit happen to her, so this is pretty normal"
"well at least we get a free day off"
"and get to hang out with my moms" I smile, as she takes my hand "I love hanging out with them"
"yeah I got pretty lucky" I smile thinking about my parents
"yes you did" she leans into me "and I got lucky with you"
"hmm" I hum pulling away from her to open the door to the bar. Once Joe sees us "hey Sofia, it'll be just a few more minutes"
"no problem" I smile, we sit down at the bar, looking around at the pretty much empty bar. I hear Lauren giggle, I look over and she's got her phone out "your mom just send me this" she held up her phone there was a picture of my moms eye "she's so gone" I laugh, I hear Lauren laugh "how many cookies did she end up having anyway?"
"I'm not entirely sure, I watched her eat 2 right after they gave them to her" she laughs
"great, just what the world needs a high Arizona Robbins" I laugh
"how many did you have?" she asks
"just the one" I smile
"me too" she leans her head on my shoulder, and takes my left hand that is on the bar "that ring looks amazing on you"
"it does" I hum, looking down at my hand, Joe came out with a bag, saying he put it on my moms tab, and to take it easy going home. We thanked him and made our way out of the bar. The snow had really picked up, and the sun had set while we were in the bar. I smile to myself knowing that they can't call us in even if they wanted to, so we had the night together. Lost in my thoughts, Lauren opens the door to her apartment, and we are greeted with my momma sitting on top of my mom calling out some words I'm sure she would yell at me for saying. They must not have heard us come in because they kept going. "Calliope" I hear my momma call out, then slump over onto her. "I could have done without seeing that" I say
"shit, Sofia" my moms says
"not like she hasn't heard us before" momma laughs
"on my girlfriends couch?" I say rolling my eyes
"not like we haven't done it there" Lauren laughs making her way into the kitchen, I watch as she sets the bag down then turns to grab some plates. "but, this is my parents" I say almost in a whine, she's right I have walked in on them plenty of times, and heard them almost every night when I was a teenager. One thing my moms had going for them is a healthy sex life. With my back to them, "are you two decent now?"
"we were never not decent" my mom says laughing, I turn around and my momma is now off her and sitting on the couch, noticing that they were both fully clothed, I grab the plates Lauren had prepared and hand them to them. "the fries are making my mouth water" momma says shoving a handful in her mouth "I think it's something else, but ok" I laugh
"Sofia don't egg her on, you know how she is"
"how who is" momma says mouth full of fries
"just eat" mom tells her
"I will I'm starving, I just worked up quite and appetite" momma says taking a bite of her burger, shaking my head Lauren and I join them.

Arizona
I'm still high, but the food helped. It was a shame, those cookies were damn good. The four of us are now sitting around Lauren's living room, that 20 years ago used to be ours. I look around and can still see our stuff in here "this is crazy" I laugh
"what is?" Callie says looking at me
"we are in our apartment, but its not ours anymore"
"oh speaking of which" Sofia says "I'm going to move"
"awe why?" I whine, Callie and I both knew it was coming but part of us both wished they'd move in with us.
"momma" Sofia says
"it's nice being across from the hospital, especially as residents, you can go home, but if you get paged, you're 5 minutes away without jumping in a car" Callie says, I smile remembering all the times I was here and got paged. "have you two given much thought about when and where you want to have the wedding?" I ask
"well" I watch as Sofia moves to the floor to sit next to Lauren "we were thinking about waiting until we are done with residency"
"Sof, that's still years away, you want to wait that long?" Callie asked
"no" Lauren says "but"
"just plan it and do it, we'll make sure you get the time off you need" I say
"and how are you going to do that?" Sofia asked
"well" I look at my wife, I see her smile "we are the board, which is higher than Bailey" she adds with a wink
"oh right, I forgot" Sofia says, I see her look at Lauren "let's start planning it"
"are you serious?" she asks in a tone that let us all know this wasn't what she was expecting
"I am" Sofia reaches over touching her face, just like Callie has done to me so many times "we've been together for almost a year now, and I know I want to spend the rest of my life with you" I watch as my daughter leans in kissing her fiancée "I love you" I hear her whisper reminding me of Callie. Who leans over and whispers "they remind me so much of us"
"it's like they are us" I say pulling my wife into a kiss.

Callie
It was nice hanging out with our daughter, we don't get to spend much time with her, being an intern she's either at the hospital or sleeping, and the last few weeks she's been studying when she's not doing either of those. Wrapping my arm around my wife I sit and watch Sofia with Lauren. Arizona was right, they are us, I just hope they have an easier go at it then we did. A thought pops into my head, "have you guys talked about kids?" I see Arizona move and look at me. "what? You and I could have saved ourselves some pain if we would have talked about it, instead of letting it come out the way it did"
"true" she says in a sigh
"well" Lauren says looking at Sofia "we haven't yet, but I have been meaning too" I nod waiting for my daughter to respond, I have no idea where her thought process is with this topic. The last time we talked about her wanting kids was when she was 10, and back then she wanted a girl. I hear Sofia clear her thought "what is your opinion?" she asks
"well" Lauren takes a deep breath "I'd like some, someday, but I'm not in any rush"
"exactly how I feel" Sofia smiles "I'd like to get established in my career before"
"maybe not that long" Lauren smiles "but than again we did just say that we would wait to get married until residency is done" she laughs
"so you agree on having them?" I say, and watch as they look at each other than both say "yes"
"I'm gonna be a gramma" Arizona laughs then slaps her forehead
"momma don't hit yourself too hard you'll end up need stitches again" Sofia laughs
"I can't believe I keep doing that, ever since the car accident"
"yeah" I say looking around "did I ever tell you that while I was in a coma, I had a dream everyone was singing? Myself included" I laugh at the memory.
"no" I hear Arizona laugh
"it started at the crash site, I saw myself on the side of the road and I was singing" I go into more detail, "but what freaked me out the most was when Hunt started singing"
"that was the day I was born right?" Sofia asks
"yeah" I say looking down at Arizona
"what happened?" Lauren asked
"we were headed for a weekend away together, I was bitching about how your mom and your dad were together and it seemed like she'd rather be with him than with me, then he started texting her. We hadn't even been gone that long" Arizona says looking at me. I could see the pain in her eyes, so much has happened since that day. "I tossed her phone in the back seat, she took her seat belt off to get it, and reply to Mark. I wasn't nearly as comfortable as I am now with your mom being bi, it actually took a long time to be comfortable with it, and to realize your mom loved me, and she was with me"
"that was only after we yelled at each other than I asked what I could do to make you happy"
"I remember that from the skit before your wedding" Sofia says "that was when momma asked you to marry her, and then you crashed into the back of a truck"
"the damn thing came out of nowhere" Arizona says
"actually" I clear my throat, I remembered what happened a few months later, Mark and I had talked about it but we decided to not say anything, everyone was good so why ruin it "what are you saying" Arizona looks at me
"I'm saying the truck didn't come from nowhere, when you took your eyes off the road to ask me to marry you, it had stopped ahead of us"
"so your saying I caused the accident" fuck why did I say anything Mark was right it should have stayed between us.
"well" I let out a deep breath but don't say anything more
"I can't believe this after 27 years the truth finally comes out" she sits up and moves to the other side of the couch
"momma, don't" Sofia says
"so Mark knew the truth but you didn't bother to tell me?"
"Arizona I"
"no, that was the point I was trying to make, it was always him, you always chose him, we never had any alone time because he was always there"
"that's why we were going" I cut her off raising my voice "and you ended up in the hospital for 2 months. You almost died Callie, and we could have lost Sofia"
"Arizona" I say sternly "we are not doing this"

Arizona
I can't believe it after all this time the truth finally comes out, I'm pissed, actually I'm more than pissed I'm livid. "you're the one that brought it up"
"and I'm sorry I did"
"no I'm glad you did" I cross my arms over my chest, taking a deep breath trying to calm myself "Arizona" I hear Callie plead with me "did he bother to tell you that he said that he was Sofia's father and I was nothing? I suppose he didn't tell you about that?"
"actually he did, he also said that he apologized later for saying it"
"but it was said" I look at her, I stand thanking god I hadn't taken off my leg, I make my way to the bathroom, surprised to see that it was still handicap assessable. I close the lid on the toilet and sit down taking a deep breath. Callie and I haven't fought like this in a long time, it felt almost foreign. After a few minutes I hear a knock at the door "Arizona" I hear Callie's voice
"it's not locked" I say
"ok" she says opening the door and coming in, she kneels down in front of me taking my hands in hers. "none of that matters now, Mark is gone"
"I know" I sigh "I'm sorry I flipped out like that, I loved Mark, and miss him"
"I do too" she says pulling me in for a hug. "I love you Arizona Robbins-Torres only you"
"I know" I look at her "I love you too"
"are you ok?"
"yeah I'm sorry"
"don't be" she says kissing the top of my head.

Sofia
Well that was something I could have done without witnessing. "um" Lauren says I could tell she was uncomfortable. I too was uncomfortable "sorry" I say looking down
"don't be" she reaches for my hand "are they going to be alright?"
"yeah, they've fought much worse, it's just been awhile" my moms fought each other like they loved each other, with their heart. We sit there quiet for a few minutes "were you serious about the kid thing?" Lauren asks
"well" I say moving my head so I can look at her "I'd like them, eventually but if it doesn't fit into our plans then it doesn't"
"we're still young" Lauren smiles "how about we wait a few years then revisit this conversation, maybe when we aren't high on weed cookies" she laughs
"sounds good" I smile, I have learned a lot from watching my moms, and I am determined that I'm not going to go through the same shit they did. "I probably shouldn't be saying this but your momma had a heart to heart with me before we left the hospital"
"oh?" I look at her wondering how my momma could embarrass me more. I see Lauren nod "don't worry, she just told me to make sure we communicate"
"yeah that was their biggest problem, instead of talking about how they were feeling they'd both run"
"I'm not like that, my gramma always told me to use my words about how I was feeling" she paused "did that make sense?" she lets out a giggle, I smile and nod, leaning in to kiss her. We hear something hit the floor in the bathroom "guess they made up" she laughs
"god my moms are so embarrassing"
"I hope we are still going at it like that when we are in our 60's"
"we should be going at it like that now" I wink and lean in kissing her, we are broke out of the kiss when we hear a noise and my momma's voice "Calliope"
"oh god" I say shaking my head, laughing.
"your momma is loud"
"honestly my mom is louder, you just haven't' heard that part yet" I laugh at the yet part of that conversation. Another loud noise and we hear "oh god, don't stop, right there" I laugh guess I spoke too soon. Lauren laughs reaching over for the remote to the tv, turning it on and the volume up. We both shake our heads and cuddle into each other.
Well there it is, what did you think? I wanted to do something with the weed cookie episode, and well that's what I came out. I hope everyone likes the idea of Sofia and Lauren being a younger version of Callie and Arizona, hopefully they can stay away from all the drama. I'm also having trouble writing Sofia's POV when it comes to conversations with her moms. So if it sounds weird I'm sorry, Thanks again :)
