Chapter 7

Location: Little Garden

Time: Afternoon

POV: Kal

I lost control.

I can't even say it wasn't me. I remember it, the whole thing, with too much clarity. The worst part is the only reason Mr.3 is still alive is because I wanted to hurt him. I wanted him to suffer, I wanted to break every bone in his body and hear him scream. I was seconds away from craving a 3 into his forehead before his partner took control of me. In that moment of pure tranquility, I understood what it was I was about to do and if Miss. Goldenweek hadn't been keeping me calm, I would've lost it by now. But partial Kyptonian mind under enhanced calm gave me plenty of time to think, ever since I got here from the day, I woke up on that piece of drift wood all I've been doing is planning for the future. How I'll meet the Straw-Hats, What I can do to join them, how to get strong enough to live in this world. Never once in my 3 years had I just thought about living my life. Its all been about the future, which funny enough is the exact opposite of what the One Piece story is about. It's never been about the destination, hell everyone knows where it all ends, One Piece has always been about the journey.

One of my personal favorite scenes in One Piece was when Usopp tried to ask Reyleigh about the treasure, Luffys response

'USOPP! I don't wanna hear where the treasure is! I don't even wanna hear if there IS a treasure or not! I dunno anything about it, but everyone sets off to sea to find out for themselves! If Pops were to tell us anything here, then I'll quit on becoming Pirate King! If we're gonna have a boring adventure like that, then I would rather die!'

All this time I've been thinking and training in order to fix a 'story' but this isn't a story anymore these are real people. Just like Dorry and Brogy, the Straw-Hat aren't characters on a screen and as I've learned multiply times today there isn't some all-powerful writer making sure everything stays the same. There is no plot armor in the real world, and trying to control other people's lives doesn't make you some cool self-insert it makes you a selfish insert. Now I'm at a cross road something I'm sure many people would experience if they were me. Do I say something, let them in on just how much I know? Damn it Cross, you lucky son of a bitch, the universe made your choice for you with that damn bug bite. While having my mental fight and cursing a guy that may or may not be real, we finally made it to my little hut.

"I just need to grab a few things and we can go; the log poses are on the table." I quickly head into my bedroom, and grab what little clothing I had. I head to my secret stash spot and pull out a bag and a box I had storied there after finding the number agents on the island. I leave out to find the Straw-Hats poking through my stuff, Usopp is poking at the skulls of various creatures I've eaten while here, Sanji was looking thourgh my spices, Luffy seemed to be just bouncing from place to place looking at everything and Nami…

"IS THIS REAL?!?" Has just found my hidden gold.

"Of course, it is that and these." I toss her the bag from my safe spot, she catches it taking a look and her eyes nearly fall out of her skull. She pulls out a diamond larger than her fist, and her eyes transform into what could only be Berri signs. "There's more where that came from, as long as I'm with you, you'll never have to worry about money."

"Welcome aboard." Nami seemingly teleports into my arms, her eyes now hearts, no wait still Berri signs just now they form hearts.

"I could've sworn the ship was around here somewhere." A voice from outside surprises us all. We step out to see an older teen 18 or 19 light brown skin and dark eyes and most eye catching of all was his green colored hair. A white shirt, dark green pants with a belly warmer wrapped around him and on his left arm is a dark green bandana. Strapped to his waist is three swords, one with a white handle, the Wado Ichimonji, one with a red handle, Sandai Kitetsu, the last one with a black handle, Yubashiri. "Hmm, what are you guys doing here? I thought you'd be back at the ship already."

"Us?!? Where the hell have you been ya damn moss head Nami-Swan and Vivi-Cwan were nearly killed." Sanji hammers home each word with an attempted kick to the swordsmen's head.

"He what about me, Huh? I almost died too." Usopp calls out.

"Who cares." Sanji finally lets up on his attack on Zoro.

"Well, I was heading back to the ship after winning our hunting contest." He pulls the something out into the clearing, which turns out to be a decently size triceratops.

"In your dreams moss for brains, that thing looks like its all bone, hold on, if you were headed back to the ship then why the hell are you here?"

"Duh we left the ship on the west side of the island, so that's where I'm headed."

"West is the direction you just came from, you're heading east." I point out.

"Huh, who the hell are you?"

"Kal, treasure hunting alien, just join the crew nice to meet you."

"Oh, great another weirdo, you sure know how to pickem don't you Luffy. Well, no use standing around here let's head back to the ship." He picks up his bounty and promptly heads…North.

"Wrong way!!"

Once we finally got Zoro situated it didn't take long for us to reach the ship, The Going Merry, it was much bigger than I thought, and I'm still very early in their journey so it still in relatively good shape though both the main mast and the sheep figure head both appeared to have been broken off. The head accidently by Laboon the island whale and the mast by Luffy while fighting said whale. I set the three barrels that I manage to keep from the two giant pains on to the ship. One look at the stores I'd kept away from them and its all,

'Ah my wounds, I need something to dull the pain.'

These were the only ones the two didn't guzzle down like dehydrated fish, while we were all get situated onto the ship Zoro and Sanji decide now was a great time to settle there bet on who caught the largest beast, Sanji's t-rex to Zoro's Triceratops.

"Would you two hurry up we need to get Vivi to a doctor, remember, we don't have time for your stupid contest." Nami shout over the side of the ship.

"Just admit that, my Rhino is bigger and you Ero-cook." Zoro butts his head up against Sanji.

"Not in a million years, look at the tails mine is clearly big moss head."

"HURRY UP!"

"YES MA'AM" they both move quickly cutting up the two creatures and we quickly get them stored onto the ship. Once everyone is on board we sail west, we follow along on a lake that cuts through the Island, before to long we spot the open sea, and standing on either side of the lake are the two giants themselves.

"Hey look it's the two giants." Luffy shouts out.

"Ahead is a great obstacle…" Brogy starts

"…that prevents people who come to this island form reaching the next, I'm sure you know what we mean already Kal." Dorry picks up.

"Of course, its pretty hard to miss." I answer.

"So, what do you say, for a final farewell we'll protect you and your new friends." Broggy grins widely. I smile up at the two.

"No way in hell." The ground shakes as just about everyone falls down.

"Oi, there trying to do something nice for you," Usopp starts.

"No, they're being stupid, listen here you two idiots, I don't need your help anymore, ever sense I got here the two of you have looked out for me. You trained not only how to fight but how to live out in the wild, without you guys I'd have turned into a feral monster that eats raw meat because I couldn't figure out how to start a fire. You guys didn't have to help me, but you did, when I couldn't find anything to eat there was always a place for me at one of your fires. You were the ones who taught me how to build that hut, and how to start a fire and how to fish and a million other little things, so no. I don't want your help for this and this isn't good bye. It's a see you later, I'll travel all over the Grand-Line with the Straw-Hats, then I'll come back hear and tell you all about my crazy adventures, and you'll sit quietly and listen to all of them no matter how stupid or impossible they seem. Just like now I want you two to just sit there and watch as I show you once and for all that the kid that arrived on this island with all his false bravado is long gone now there just Kal the purple giant." I turn around and look Luffy straight in the eyes. "Captain, please trust me, no matter what happens you have to keep the ship going straight." He stares at me for a moment, gone was that care free smile and in its place a search glare.

"Got it,' he nods 'we'll keep straight no matter what." I nod back before heading to the back of the ship. We move forwards silently before the water in front of the ship begins to rise.

"Look! Up ahead!" Nami points, as the front of the ship begins to slop up. A large pink and white fin breaks through the surface.

"The Island-Eater!" Dorry calls out. An enormous fish with a red and white face and bright white scale break through the surface of the water its mouth so large it seemed capable of swallowing both giants whole. The Going Merry no larger than on of its massive teeth.

"Wha…" Sanji's cigarette falls from his mouth in shock.

"Something's appeared!" Usopp places both hands over his eyes as if no being able to see the creature would make it disappear. Nami, Vivi and Zoro just stare in complete shock at the creature.

"What's this guy? A goldfish?" Luffy on the other hand just seems curious, not an ounce of fear in his voice.

"A g-giant goldfish?! W-Why does that sound familiar?!" Usopp seeming to have given up his hiding just shook in absolute terror.

"Work the Rudder! Hurry! We're gonna get eaten! Hurry, Usopp!" Nami yells.

"I-I can't, go straight ahead! R-Right, Luffy?!"

"Yeah! Of Course!" Still not sounding the least bit worried.

"Don't be Stupid! This won't be like what happened with Laboon!"

"I know. Calm down. Here, I'll let you have the last rice cracker." He tosses said cracker over his shoulder.

"I don't want it! If we don't turn the ship, we're gonna be—" the big duck finally loses its nerve and runs into the ship.

"Just give it up, Nami." Zoro seeming to have quickly gotten over his shock leans back calmly. The ship sails forward entering the fish's mouth.

"Hey! Aren't you supposed to be doing something?!" Sanji yells.

"Not yet." I reply.

"Are you crazy?! Are we really going straight into that beast?!" Vivi cuts in.

"No! We're too late now!" Nami screams as the world darkens.

"You know Broggy and Dorry once told me a story about an island they came a cross that they named nothing-at-all island, because there was nothing on it, no animals, trees not even rocks turn out it was the by product of this fish after it eat an entire Island." I tell them as the fish closes its large mouth.

"Shishishishi really? That's hilarious." Luffy seems to be the only one to enjoy the story.

"What are you talking about?! We've been eaten!" Nami bares her fangs at me.

"Straight ahead! Straight ahead!" Luffy shouts out.

"Quiet I need to focus." I call out to the others; I raise my right arm up.

"For in my right arm lives the Red Giant of COURAGE."

I flex my right arm causing it to bulk up, veins clearly visible as a reddish mist seems to gather.

"And in my left arm lives the Blue Giant of STRENGTH."

I flex my left arm, now a blueish mist gathers around it. I stick both arms out Infront of me, wrist press against each other arms stick straight out, fingers slightly curled.

"Now I have become the Purple Giant of POWER"

The mist shifts becoming a light purple.

"Six Powers: Ultimate Technique: SUNWARRIOR"

Purple tinted air wave shoots out from my out stretched arms lighting up the dark as it travels forward. It tears clean through the monster fish's body let sunlight in and opening the way forward for, the access wind catches into the sails and the Merry goes shooting forward lifting of the water and flying through the opening.

"Don't look Back! We're going Straight ahead!" Luffy shouts.

Authors note: And thus ends the Little Garden Arc, now begins the Drum Island and Chopper arc. I'm excited. Honestly this last chapter was kicking my ass. But now that I'm done I can really start planning for the future. At least I have some idea on how I want the next arc to go. Till next time.
