![]() Author has written 5 stories for Labyrinth, Beetlejuice, Avengers, and Doctor Strange. I am always looking for betas! You'll get to read the story before anyone else! PM me. If you prefer Wattpad (personally, I think FF's search engine and organization is better, but prefer Wattpad's reading screen), you can also find my stories on Wattpad under username Riley_Berg. Index of Riley Berg's Fanfiction Works in alphabetical order, first by fandom, then by title Beetlejuice (movie) Fanfiction Epiphany: (ONE-SHOT) After almost ten years of unlikely friendship with a crazed, perverted, and all too powerful poltergeist, Lydia Deetz has an epiphany that will change everything in a single moment. [Betelgeuse x Lydia. Romance. Supernatural, as necessary for the ‘verse.] Epiphany is also posted on Wattpad under username Riley_Berg. Marvel Cinematic Universe Fanfiction It Began with a Goodbye (Doctor Strange): (IN-PROGRESS) An A-verse story. Sophy has led a surprisingly inconspicuous life considering her heritage, so far as anyone left at Kamar-Taj remembers. But when Wong calls to tell her that her mother died during Kaecilius’ attempt to bring the Dark Dimension to Earth, she feels obliged to rejoin her mother’s people. With a goodbye to her friends, she returns to Kamar-Taj and finds it increasingly more difficult to remain inconspicuous. Add concerned friends, an obnoxiously stoic Wong, a comically sentient Cloak, a mysterious Doctor, and an unwanted family reunion, and things are never going to be the same. [Featuring Doctor Strange and Wong. Set at end of/after Doctor Strange. Drama. Adventure. Sci-Fi & Fantasy, as necessary for the 'verse.] It Began with a Goodbye is also posted on Wattpad under username Riley_Berg. Pets (Avengers): (ONE-SHOT) Loki is missing from his cage, and Natasha can't be bothered to find him--or maybe she can. Clint and Banner have to stay locked in the garage. But even with the help of Thor and Captain, I can't find that mischief-maker. [A short, just-for-fun one-shot and the reason I'm not allowed to have a ferret.] Without the Darkness there is No Light (Avengers / Thor): (IN-PROGRESS) An A-verse story. Astrid Quimby is a woman of great mystery. Even the man who claims to be her brother seems to know little about her. When a man comes to Earth searching for something, her brother and her new friends will learn more about her. But not every one of them is sure that’s a good thing. Join Astrid as she forms unlikely alliances with both the Avengers and Loki, and tries to keep them from killing each other—or, at least, trashing her place in their attempt. Follow her as she finds herself fighting for something she thought she never wanted to fight for, and fighting beside people she only ever dreamed of fighting beside. [Featuring Loki, Thor, Jane, Vision, and Wanda. MCU canon pairings and Loki x OFC. (Mostly?) MCU canon background, but not a retelling of any of the movies. Set before, during, and after the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron (but, again, not following the movie, but what is going on elsewhere)] Adventure. Drama. Romance. Sci-fi & Fantasy, as necessary for the ‘verse.] Labyrinth Fanfiction In the Eyes of the Queen: (COMPLETE) I'm only 19, but I have managed to lead a relatively normal life--if you don't count goblins and secret admiration. Unfortunately, my compassion is going to once again get me in trouble. But the real problem is, though I will succeed in my mission, I may not be able to save myself too. But that's okay; I probably don't want to. [Jareth x Sarah] Romance. Fantasy, as necessary for the ‘verse. In the Eyes of the Queen is also posted on Wattpad under username Riley_Berg. Stuff My Family Says "Can I hit the guy in the purple pants? Maybe he'll turn into the Hulk." -- Jay [hit with an SUV; American definition of pants] Em is pondering who my son looks like. My husband Jay walks in and deadpans, "He looks like if Jay and Riley had a baby." Jay convinces me to go to the theater. I give in, only because it is Avengers: Age of Ultron. Vision is born. I lean over to Jay and whisper, "If Tony and Thor had a baby." P.S. Probably should have added James Spader in there, too... Because James Spader is The Awesome. Pet Peeves Lord of the Rings is a book, not a book series, and definitely not a trilogy! The original book was divided into six sub-sections! And while said subsections were referred to as "books," it was in the was you refer to the Book of Job as a book, not as it's own, separately published book, but as a distinct section of the larger work published as a whole. Robin Hood is not a book. It is a movie. Robin Hood is a man from old English legend, the many versions of which are contained in many works, both poem and prose. I am sorry, but there is no single book or complete canon for Robin Hood. (Though I still love him and enjoy many portrayals of the heroic outlaw.) An abbreviation is any shortened or contracted form of a word or phrase. An acronym is a specific type of abbreviation formed from the first letters of a multi-word term, name, or phrase, with those letters pronounced together as one term (such as the North American Trade Organization, which is abbreviated using the acronym NATO, pronounced nay-toe). An initialism is another form of abbreviation in which each letter is pronounced separately (such as the United Nations, which is abbreviated using the initialism U.N., pronounced U-N). [In my stories I differentiate between the two by spelling acronyms as if a word, though using all capital letters, and initialisms with a period after each letter.] ... Okay, I'm done.
