Author has written 3 stories for Harry Potter. Hi folks. Heh. Just discovered this bio bit, I think I'll use it to make the author notes I don't put in my stories. I think they disturb the flow too much, personally.Anyway, I'm currently continuing chapter 3 of Ron Weasley and the Madness of Captaincy. I'm about 1/2 of the way through writing, editing as I go, but it looks so long it may become chapters 3 and 4 (Tactics Off the Pitch / Tactics On the Pitch). I work on it a couple of hours a night, so it should be ready in the next couple of weeks. (NOT A FIRM PROMISE!) (it's 25-10 now (or 10-25 if you're an American.)) I've got rough chapter outlines worked out already, and quite a few wee subplots, most of them little throwaway things (Ron's lucky red socks will make a comeback, for instance). I think I've too many actually, so expect more Author's notes. I'm intentionally writing it as a light story for fun, no heavy angst or Sirius related mental torture. I nearly trashed the whole lot when I read a story elsewhere about appalling HP cliches, and discovered a nest of them, like Puffskeins, harboured in the early drafts of the story. Some may have slipped through, I figured some cliches are too good not to use. "Cho and the Pensieve" is on the back burner, but I may return to it if I hit a block elsewhere, I know where it is going, but there is only so much good writing time in the day. Thanks for your reviews and feedback, they really do inspire me to keep writing, and encourage me to be more critical over stuff I've written.. |
