A few hours later, Charlie was done taking care of some personal business in the bathroom and out he came.
"Thank you, Lady Olivia. If we didn't make it to a bathroom sooner, lets just say you don't want me to finish that sentence." said Charlie blushing.
"Believe me, Charlie. I've been through such challenges. The urge to go and if the bathroom is further away. That can be a dreadful thought." said Olivia showing compassion.
"Also, I cleaned up afterwards in there and I actually used one of the air fresheners in there in case of a bad smell." Charlie reassured.
"Which scent?" said Olivia looking a little embarrassed to ask.
"Scent of lemon." answered Charlie.
Knowing that was a huge relief for Lady Olivia.
"Also, if you need to find a constructive method on handling stress. Try doing a few boxing sessions with a punching bag. It's a little barbaric and violent but if you imagine the punching bag is someone or something you find annoying. Visualize the punching bag as what ever annoys you the most, visualize and give it a few jabs." Charlie suggested giving a few punches in the air. "But if that's not your thing. Try eating sweet potatoes, eggs, blueberries, or drink chamomile tea. Ether one of those will work."
"Are you a doctor?" asked Olivia curiously.
"Nope. But I do know a few things to suggest for managing and handling stress that actual doctors suggest all the time. I know your job is involving some stress here and there, it's actually nice when someone can suggest an idea to take some of the weight off one's back." Charlie answered.
Lady Olivia was silent for a moment at the kind suggestions that Charlie given her as she knew he was right. Her job does involve stressful situations. She actually liked the list of options that were provided.
"I'll keep those methods in mind." said Olivia.
They left and when they arrived at the hotel they were staying in. The Hemisphere Hotel was an upscale hotel in Newtopia that stands at roughly twenty floors tall. Its first floor was populated with cafés, restaurants, various shops, a fountain, and an indoor Ferris wheel. The top of the hotel featured a large see-through dome where the sunset and sunrise can be viewed through it by those staying there.
As Anne, Charlie, and the Plantars made it to the hotel room. Sprig was excited to explore more of Newtopia but he was met with some shocking news.
"What do you mean, nobody wants to see Newtopia?" said Sprig shocked.
Anne, Hop Pop and Sprig were laying down on the bed in a white robe and a white towel wrapped around their heads. Charlie had already taken a shower, got dried off, was in a change of clothes as he wore a gold shirt with the face of a lion printed on the front, blue jean pants and the same boots he wore. He already had his hair dry and looking like he got his hair done. He had it brushed to perfection.
"Not happenin'." said Hop Pop noticing as he was reading a book.
"Polly happy right here." said Polly looking relaxed.
Sprig turned to Anne.
"Anne, come on. You're with me, right?" asked Sprig.
"Sorry, dude. The only thing I want to explore is that gift basket." said Anne reaching for the nearby gift basket.
She was a few inches away from it but strained to reach for it. But she was a few inches out of reach and stopped afterwards.
"Maybe later." said Anne submitting.
"I'm going with you. I already took a shower and did my hair but I wonder if my hair is getting too long? I haven't had a trim in months." said Charlie contemplating on getting a trim. "Besides, I'm up for some fun. That, and you need someone to watch out for ya. I remember going to New York once, got lost in Central Park."
Anne and Sprig looked at him with alarm.
"You were okay, right?" asked Anne hopefully.
"Oh yeah, totally. But I was six at the time, it was four months after the other ladies moved in. Mabel and Selena were the first to find me. We were glad that i was accompanied by an officer. My mom nearly freaked out but I was alright." answered Charlie.
Charlie's hair did look like it was getting rather long. When he first got transported to Amphibia. His hair was close to shoulder length, three in a half months afterwards when he emerged from his coma, his hair was already shoulder length or slightly passed that. Now, his hair is down to his chest and he had been contemplating on getting a trim for quite some time.
"Charlie's down with it. Besides, we have the Royal Credit Card! The city's our playground." said Sprig briefly poking Anne's face.
"Sprig, the city will still be there tomorrow. Probably." said Hop Pop showing no reaction.
"Tomorrow? Or... I could take the card and..." said Sprig with a mischievous grin.
Hop Pop turned to Sprig with a serious expression.
"Sprig Plantar! Under no circumstances are you to take that card outside of this hotel!" said Hop Pop warning him. "Charlie, same goes for you and everyone else in this room."
Sprig was met with defeat since Hop Pop was giving him that look that all parents and grandparents give their children or grandchildren when they really mean what they said, especially if they're warning them what they shouldn't do. He let out a sigh.
"I won't, Hop Pop." said Sprig sadly.
"I'll keep an eye on him, Hop Pop, and possibly any craziness that'll pop up out of nowhere." said Charlie stretching his back. "But just in case if anything does go south. We apologize in advance."
"Good!" said Hop Pop. "Charlie, keep an eye on Sprig."
Just before Charlie could reply. Hop Pop passed out on the bed instantly and was snoring. Anne was snoring as well but her snoring sounded like a funny sounding whinnying horse. Charlie smiled and did his best not to burst out laughing while Sprig also fought the urge to laugh but they both managed to choke down the laughter.
"Anne snores. Even her snoring is adorable but kind of funny." Charlie thought to himself.
While Charlie wasn't looking. Sprig had a devious grin as he walked to the bed Hop Pop and Polly were sleeping on.
"He didn't say anything about using it inside the hotel." said Sprig under his breath.
Sprig went for it and quickly swiped the card from the pocket of the robe Hop Pop wore. He placed it in one of his pockets as he signaled Charlie to come with him and the two opened the door to their hotel room.
They stopped when they saw what looked like the hotel's bellhop. The bellhop was young adult female newt with light orange skin with a lighter underbelly and freckles on her cheek and face. She had dark splotches on her tail, short brown hair and wore a circular aqua hat with a black and yellow stripe that she keeps on her head with a black strap. For clothes, she wore an aqua dress-shirt with yellow lining and a black and yellow stripe on the cuffs, along with black shorts with yellow lining. She looked like she was feeling down about herself as it looked like she was struggling with pulling an overfilled luggage cart.
"Four years of Newtopia University and a mountain of student debt for this?" she said to herself.
She stopped and looked to see Sprig and Charlie. She changed her emotion to try and look cheerful.
"Oh, hi there. Bella the bellhop, at your service. Got the rest of your bags here." said Bella.
The young newt lady walked in and with the luggage cart. She stopped next to Anne's bed and exhaled with relief as if it was a miracle she gotten all them bags up there to their room. Charlie went to assist her.
"Are you and the other girl there the humans we've been hearing about that know a girl named Marcy?" asked Bella curiously as she looked at Charlie. "Wait, sir, I got that."
"You got too much on your back as it is, ma'am. I got this one." said Charlie getting the rest of the bags off the cart.
As she watched Charlie get the bags off the cart with his impressive strength. She smiled as if she saw a miracle in the form of Charlie. Bella sort of blushed as if having a crush on him. She looked at Sprig with her hand held out as if expecting a tip. Sprig at first didn't know what she was trying to tell him since Sprig was not a mind reader nor did he know too much about picking up signals that he's never recognized before.
"How about a tip?" asked Bella.
"Oh, sure! If you were to do one thing in the hotel for fun, what would it be?" asked Sprig with a smile.
Bella placed her hand down and she instantly knew what it was she wanted to do at the hotel as her eyes lit up.
"Well, I've never gone, but everyone says the view from the top of the indoor Ferris wheel will change your life." said Bella with a twinkle of hope in her eyes.
"Great, thanks for the tip." said Sprig taking off.
"Sprig wait!" groaned Charlie. "Ma'am, got the cart cleared. Meanwhile, I got to catch up with that little hopping ball of energy."
Charlie stormed out of the room while Bella was looking like she was met with disappointment. Letting out a disappointed grumble. Charlie caught up with Sprig to an elevator as he entered it and it went down.
"Sprig, don't take off without me." said Charlie.
"Sorry about that. I'm just so excited! And you got to admit. Anne's snore is kind of funny and i saw you laughing." giggled Sprig.
Charlie burst out laughing without meaning to as he remembered Anne's hilarious snore.
"Even in her sleep. Anne still makes me laugh." chuckled Charlie.
The elevator made a ding as it stopped. The doors opened and both Sprig and Charlie walked out to the amazingly beautiful sight that is the rest of the hotel. There was the fountain they remembered being told about, the Ferris wheel, there was plenty of cafes, restaurants and shopping areas. Many others who were probably guests there were taking in on the sights and fun around there. The two were looking like they saw Heaven.
"This place is amazing! Look at that fountain! And ooh! That must be the indoor Ferris wheel. I'm gonna save you for later." said Sprig looking excited.
"Ladies and gentlemen, this is Uptown Newtopian Funk." said Charlie with excitement.
"Excuse me. Are you winking at that Ferris wheel?" came a male's voice.
The two turned to see tall and slender male newt with dark shiny hair slick back and in a green uniform with the lightest shade of brown skin. He looked as though he caught them doing something wrong. Sprig was about to speak but Charlie raised a hand as if to let him know he would handle this.
"Sir, yes, we were winking at the Ferris wheel. There is nothing wrong with winking at a beautiful sight. Anyone could do that if they wanted, even you can do it if you want to." said Charlie with a kind tone.
The male newt had his serious expression turn to an understanding one as he nodded once. A loud gurgling sound came from one of them and they turned to see it was coming from Charlie as he smiled.
"Are you alright, sir?" asked the male newt.
"Wait for it." chuckled Charlie.
Charlie suddenly let out the loudest burp he ever produced and the male newt was wide eyed with shock.
"What was that?" asked the male newt.
"A burrito." said Charlie in a comically high pitched thick Mexican accent.
The male newt that appeared to be the serious type suddenly formed a smile and burst out loud laughing at the joke Charlie told.
"At least I got him laughing. Sprig, lets go crazy." said Charlie mimicking a comically high pitched voice that made him sound like a funny clown from a cartoon.
"That's really funny! A burrito!" laughed the male newt.
Sprig and Charlie took off to have some fun around the hotel. They would go around to different parts of the hotel as they went to an ice cream parlor nearby that served it with ants. Sprig was using the card he swiped earlier to pay for an ice cream sundae that had plenty of bugs on it other than ants.
"Napkin, sir?" asked the male amphibian.
"What do I look like, a slob?" said Sprig giggling.
Sprig used his really long, huge tongue to sloppily eat the bugs off the ice cream, and the ice cream itself while it looked like his huge frog like tongue even went around to eating any bit of ice cream that spilled anywhere which after he had devoured the ice cream, he felt an instant headache that felt cold to him.
"Ow! Brain freeze!" cried Sprig.
"Sprig, just breathe in and out from your mouth. It'll melt the ice and cool you off faster." Charlie quickly advised.
Sprig breathed in and out of his mouth as he took slow, deep breaths and the ice cream headache he felt was disappearing a lot faster than he expected.
"Thanks Charlie. How did you know that would work?" asked Sprig.
"My grandpa back at home had experienced this before and he found out breathing in and out through your mouth will get the headache to dissipate faster." answered Charlie.
Sprig was getting a rush of energy and excitement as he pulled Charlie by his hand to take him to the next place they could explore. They entered a shopping store that had a sign above it's entrance reading "Big and Tall Frog" Sprig tried on a few shirts that were a bit too big for him.
"Hey Sprig, don't ya think that's a little big for ya?" said Charlie.
"I know but I'm having the time of my life!" said Sprig looking at himself in a mirror.
Sprig was about to do some poses but accidentally bumped into one of the mirrors and knocked it over, followed by it knocking over a series of nearby shelves. It was like knocking down a stack of dominoes all around the shopping room. Charlie wasn't looking as he couldn't bear to see what happened.
"I can't look. How bad is it?" said Charlie in a panic.
Charlie opened his eyes and his jaw dropped at the sight of what happened. Even Sprig and the tannish yellow male newt in a purple suit with show, shiny brown hair was shocked to see this.
"Sprig, did you accidentally knock down a mirror and a series of shelves in here?" said Charlie calmly.
"There's some good news." said Sprig.
Charlie looked at Sprig as if hoping he had a solution and he saw him pull out the gold credit card from earlier and both Sprig and the sales clerk smiled.
"Hey!" said Sprig and the clerk in enthusiastic unison.
Charlie breathed a sigh of relief as Sprig paid for the damages down to the shop. But Charlie did start to wonder what Sprig was doing with the royal credit card but he had no time to think or say anything after Sprig swiped the card through the machine and took him by the hand again to the next place they'd go to.
"Whoa Sprig! Running faster than me when I'm running from a bomb that's about to go off!" chuckled Charlie.
"I know something we can do that you'll find fun!" said Sprig.
Sprig dragged Charlie over to what looked like a karaoke corner with a big sign that read "Karaoke Competition: Winner Gets a Prize" at first, Charlie was wondering if he should do this because he does love to sing and dance. He saw some others have gotten done singing but there was a blonde female newt with big, full lips and she looked like she was a model as she did have a curvy, full figured body. There was a crowd of people watching.
"Ladies and gentle amphibians, we've had six people perform at today's karaoke's competition and before we decide who wins the lucky grand prize. We would like to see if anyone from the crowd or anyone out there wants to come up here and do one last performance to compete. Whose up for the challenge?" asked the eager attractive female newt.
Sprig knew that Charlie wanted to do it but something was holding him back. So Sprig smiled and pulled Charlie over there by the hand eagerly as they reached the karaoke corner.
"Over here! He'll compete!" called Sprig.
"Wait? What?" said Charlie bewildered.
Sprig eagerly pushed Charlie over and got him over there. The blonde newt lady who was wearing pink placed an ear microphone on him that was placed on his left ear and the microphone was near his mouth.
"So what's your name, foreigner?" asked the female host.
Charlie was silent for a moment before he spoke. He saw Sprig giving him a thumbs up from nearby.
"I'm Charlie Matsuda." said Charlie introducing himself.
Charlie lowered the microphone a bit and whispered something to her. It looked like he was suggesting a song for her to play at the event and she smiled with an eager expression.
"I like that suggestion." said the host in agreement.
The host walked over to turn on what appeared to be the radio or the karaoke machine from the looks of it. As the music started to play. Charlie felt a huge amount of confidence rising inside him as he thought of Anne and he began to sing his powerfully beautiful voice as the music was a mix of Eurodance and techno music. The microphone he sung into was making his voice loud enough for all to hear.
"I still hear your voice, when you sleep next to me. I still feel your touch in my dream, in my dream. Forgive me my weakness, but I don't know why, without you, it's hard to su-urvi-i-ive"
The music began to play at a faster tempo and Charlie was starting dance like he was a professional. The women around there were blown away as some were wide eyed in amazement, some screamed in excitement, while some shed a tear from how emotional the song was.

As the music continued and Charlie's dancing was on fire. They were blown away by his performance. The female amphibians were looking like they were falling in love with him like he was a famous pop singer.
"I don't know what species he is but he's so hot right now!" said a nearby female frog teenager.
When the music slowed down a bit and Charlie's dancing stopped. He continued to sing as he was giving an emotional performance as well as an exciting one.
"Your arms are my castle, your heart is my sky. They wipe away tears that I cry, that I cry. The good and the bad times: we've been through them all. You make me rise when I fa-a-all"
The music and it's tempo sped up once again and Charlie was dancing as if he was a choreographer and his singing sped up a little bit too in order to match the music's tempo.

As Charlie danced to the music, he danced a bit faster and it looked like big gold circles would form around his feet everytime his feet met the ground. It was like seeing growing circles in the water being made when a rock was dropped in a lake. They were all wide eyed at what was the most electrifying performance they've ever seen. Sprig was liking how it looked as he remembered how Charlie stood up to Monroe at a dance off.

The music was than fading and came to stop as Charlie stopped singing and dancing as the gold circles beneath him disappeared. Everyone cheered loudly for Charlie and Charlie felt like he had done something that was the coolest thing in his life. The judges nearby all talked to each other privately and they looked back as they announced who won as held up a sign that read Charlie's name.
"I won!" cried Charlie excitedly.
"He won!" cried Sprig.
"You heard it folks. We have our winner. Charlie's Matsuda." said the host.
One of the judges came over and gave Charlie a backpack with the hotel's crest on it and it's initials. Charlie was hugged by the judge and by the host. The host told him that the prize was actually prize money but when she told him how much money it was. Charlie and Sprig nearly had a heart attack from shock.
"Anata wa watashi o detaramete iru yo ne?" asked Charlie. "I mean your serious, right?"
"About as serious as I am about getting married in a few months. Yep, I'm getting married to the love of my life." the host said showing optimism.
Everyone let out an adored "Awww" at the news and everyone applauded for both Charlie and the host. Charlie took the ear microphone off and gave it to the host. He shook hands with the other contestants and hugged them as they were glad he was a good sport. Charlie put the backpack on his back and waved to everyone.
"Thank you ladies and gentlefrogs, amphibians and to everyone here. Have a good day and night, be safe out there. And to the host, I wish you luck with your man." said Charlie. "Come on Sprig, lets go crazy around the town."
Charlie took off running and grabbed Sprig as he was being carried by him. The people at the karaoke competition were leaving to go have fun while others who were hosting and judging were getting ready to schedule another event. Charlie and Sprig took off somewhere and stopped.
"I can't believe you've won. And was she serious about that amount of money?" said Sprig in excited disbelief as if he was too blown away.
"You heard the lady loud and clear." replied Charlie.
"I'm surprised them women didn't just pull you in and cover you in big lipstick marks." joked Sprig.
"Maybe I should tickle ya for a laugh." chuckled Charlie.
"Ya got me." laughed Sprig.
Sprig turned to see what looked like a barber shop with the sign near it as it was next to a red, white and blue striped pole. He did remember that Charlie contemplated on getting a trim which he took Charlie by the hand again and eagerly took him over there. They met an opera mauve newt male with short blonde hair and wearing dark purple clothing.
Charlie braved the attempt as he was the first to get a trim. The barber could tell he was nervous which he calmed the human male as he sat down in the seat. Charlie told him about what he was going for and the newt started to cut his hair which as he trimmed it. They saw that Charlie's hair went from reaching his chest to being slightly below his shoulders like the day he emerge from his coma. He smiled with a blushing, wide eyed look.
"I think my girl will love this. Your working wonders, sir." said Charlie happily.
"If your girl loves this new look on you. She'll be kissing you all day, boyfriend." said the male barber in an effeminate tone.
Charlie got up from the seat and he hugged the barber. Than Sprig was next as he sat in the seat and the barber was giving Sprig what looked like some odd yet wild hair styles as if he was getting a makeover. The first hairdo looked like he had a blonde hairdo with it being medium length, parted down the middle with some spikes, he shook his head and the barber tried again as he was styling Sprig's hair like he was trying to do it as fast as he could to clock a time record. Sprig's hair was now blue and spikey looking.
"One more time." Sprig suggested.
The barber tried once more and styled Sprig's hair to look like it was the same hair color as his natural hair color but it started to look like it was in a style that a girl had with several different colored bows. Sprig was wide eyed at the sight of it from the mirror.
"Yes! Thank you, my good man." said Sprig.
Sprig used the credit card to pay for the services and as Charlie and Sprig walked out. That was when Charlie saw something else exciting they could do and this time, he was the one who carried Sprig over there eagerly. The barber chuckled.
"If I had a man as gorgeous as that tall and lanky hunk. Mwa!" he said blowing a kiss in the air.
The next place that Sprig and Charlie went to was a coffee shop that had a female worker at the front who had lilac skin and long and thick dark green hair that was in a braided ponytail.
"Care for some Bug-accino, sir? Made fresh daily." she offered.
"Five please!" said Sprig jumping up and down.
Both Charlie and the lady were hesitant about this as both of them seem to know that coffee, cappuccinos or even espressos had a lot of sugar and caffeine in them and can be really strong and Sprig was already a bit hyper from the sugar in the ice cream he had earlier.
"Sprig, you sure about this? You're still a bit hyped up from the ice cream you had earlier." warned Charlie.
"Um, these are pretty strong." warned the lady.
"Five, I say!" said Sprig jumping once again and shaking.
The lady immediately made five cups of Bug-accinos and placed the cups on the front counter. Sprig used his huge tongue to wrap around them all and pulled them in his mouth. His mouth and tongue was met with a displeasing taste as he drank the cups down and spat the cups out as they were now empty and back on the counter.
"Maybe your right, ma'am. The taste is a little strong." said Sprig appearing to not be affected.
Sprig knew the lady was a kind woman and he asked for one to go and the lady gave him one to go as he was going to see if Hop Pop would like to try the coffee, placing it in a shirt pocket. Charlie looked at Sprig and wondered how he wasn't hyper from downing five cups of Bug-accinos.
"You okay, little man? Your not even going hyper crazy with energy. Or crazier." said Charlie surprised.
"Actually, I feel fine. I'm surprised I haven't jumped so high that I could touch the ceiling. And she said they were strong. I don't feel a thing." said Sprig appearing to fine.
What Charlie saw next was confirming his worry as Sprig's pupils dilated suddenly. Sprig's vision suddenly saw everything around him moving slowly as if slow motion but when Charlie saw him reacting. He say Sprig was running around like a hyperactive kid hopped up on too much candy that was high in sugar content.
"Oh shit." Charlie cursed under his breath.
He went over to retrieve Sprig when he got done dancing around the found and nearly fell on the floor, looking like he had a sugar crash after the sugar rush.
"Okay, you need to switch to water." said Charlie taking charge.
"I'll have what he's having." came a male newt nearby in a top hot.
Charlie took Sprig to get him some water as he gotten him a bottle of water which helped him settle down. They were now standing near the Ferris wheel on one of the floors. They were watching the Ferris wheel moving forwards in a slow circle like it did.
"You okay, Sprig?" asked Charlie hopefully.
Sprig shook and looked to be feeling alright. But he learned something.
"Charlie, don't ever let me drink coffee ever again." said Sprig with a sigh of relief.
"You got it. You went more hyper than I did when I had some of Barry's candy stuffed in my mouth by Maggie. So many headaches. So many colors." said Charlie remembering the event.
"Well, all that's left is to ride the Ferris wheel, and I have just the thing to pay for it." said Sprig pulling the card out.
Sprig was about to do a trick with his hands but he dropped the card. It knocked over his drink and tray of gnatchos, sending them falling down to towards the bottom floor. The two were met with panicked shock.
"Damn it!" said Charlie sharply. "Chikushō! Īkagen'ni shite!"
Charlie pulled Sprig by the hand and carried him off towards the nearby elevator. They managed to catch up with the elevator as Sprig was rapidly pushing the button that would make the elevator go down. The doors opened as they rushed in. Sprig pushed one of the buttons and just when the doors were about to close, someone placed their arm through the doors, making them open and they saw an old newt married couple, one of them was the husband and the other the wife. The wife was getting around on a walker.
"Excuse me, youngsters. Could you push the 19th floor?" asked the old male.
"Sure." said Sprig.
"Ryōkaishimashita." replied Charlie.
As they walked in, one of the kids pushed the button for the nineteenth floor but when they made it there. The old married couple informed them they may have to go one floor down which Sprig pushed another button and when they went down one more floor. One of them mentioned they were looking for the casino which wasn't on the eighteenth floor ether.
Charlie assisted them by telling them where the casino was and which floor to go. Charlie informed Sprig to go on ahead as Charlie used his powerful strength to carry the old married couple and took off running with them towards the casino to drop them off. He was really fast on his feet like he was with thinking fast on his feet. Sprig got out of the elevator afterwards and saw the card was resting on one of the hanging light fixtures.
"At the very least. I'd only break my neck." sighed Sprig.
The young male frog jumped off the edge and bounced from one light fixture to another which caused each one he jumped off from to shake. He managed to reach the light fixture that had the card on the edge but the slipped and fell off it while the card fell as well.
As Sprig was falling, that's when someone or something caught him and carried him as who ever carried him was bouncing off anything it placed it's foot on and got to the floor as it landed on top of the fountain and did a flip to land on the floor. Sprig looked up to see Charlie carrying him, much to his relief.
"Long story?" asked Sprig.
"Definitely. Did you find the card?" asked Charlie hopefully.
They turned to see the card suddenly land in the hand of someone nearby. They saw it landed literally in the hands of the bellhop they met earlier. It was Bella who was looking at what fell in her hands as she looked as though she was on her break but didn't have too much to eat. The two kids felt a relief that it was with someone they met before.
"Oh, thank goodness. I was beginning to think I'd never get my Royal Credit Card with unlimited funds back." said Sprig relieved.
As Sprig and Charlie walked over to her. Bella just felt like a light went on in her head at what Sprig said.
"Did you say, "unlimited funds"?" asked Bella curiously.
"Sure did!" answered Sprig.
Suddenly, a look on Sprig's face just shown alarm as he just realized what he said was something he shouldn't have told anyone.
"Uhh Sprig?" Charlie uttered.
"Oh, you're gonna steal it, aren't you?" guessed Sprig.
"Finders keepers!" cried Bella as she took off running with it.
Charlie and Sprig ran after her. Bella was running a bit faster than Sprig since she had a head start, she jumped over a bench that a mother and her son was sitting on, she jumped clean over them and slid on the floor going passed the ticket booth. She proven to be quite the athletic and flexible newt. Charlie took hold of Sprig and placed him on his head.
"Heads up!" cried Charlie.
Charlie jumped clean over the same bench Bella did by doing an side aerial flip and he jumped over the line that led to the ticket booth.
"Sprig! Brace yourself!" cried Charlie.
Charlie tossed Sprig forwards hard and it caused him to go speeding towards Bella but when he got to her, he bounced off her back, causing her to fall and Sprig landed on her back. The card had went spinning in the air like it was a ninja's star knife. It landed on top of one of the Ferris wheel's passenger carriers. The Ferris wheel kept moving like it always did. The two got up as Charlie made to their side.
"Well, Ferris wheel. The time has come." said Sprig winking at the Ferris wheel.
"Are you winking at that Ferris wheel?" asked Bella looking uncomfortable.
"Yes, and I'm rich, so deal with it!" Sprig said really fast and took off.
"Hey, get back here!" cried Bella.
Sprig, Charlie and Bella raced to the Ferris wheel. Sprig hopped up onto one of the passenger carriers and held onto it while Charlie jumped so high up that he landed on top of the next two passenger carriers above Sprig.
Sprig looked back at Bella and blew a raspberry at her. Bella jumped into the water and was swimming up the water trail that was in between the Ferris wheel and she was a fast swimmer as she was looking like she'd make it up to the top before Sprig and Charlie did.
Charlie and Sprig started to bounce their way up to the top by bouncing off each passenger carrier they jumped off from. Eventually, the Ferris wheel stopped and both Sprig and Bella grabbed hold of the card and began to argue till Charlie jumped up high enough to reach the top with them but he grabbed hold of the the two and with his strength and possibly some adrenaline pumping through him. He was holding onto both of them like he was hugging them.
"Okay, this stops now! By the time I get all of us down on the floor. I'm going to give you such a talking to that-mmmph." Charlie was interrupted by Sprig covering his mouth.
Sprig pointed forwards and the three of them looked to see what looked like the sunrise that was going passed the Newtopian castle. The three looked at it with wide eyed surprise.
"Whoa, it's spectacular." said Sprig.
"When they said seeing the top view of the Ferris wheel is a beautiful sight to see. They're not lying." said Charlie.
"It's even more amazing than everyone says." said Bella.
After staring at it for a moment. The three looked at each other. Bella shown a remorseful expression and she sighed sadly. She let go of the card and gave it back to Sprig which he placed it back in his pocket.
"Sorry about trying to steal your card, kid. And I'm sorry for causing you guys a ruckus. I shouldn't have. I... just...I just really need the money. It's not an easy story to talk about. It's just that I went to the Newtopian University for four years but ended up with a mountain of dept in student loans. So I ended up working here to earn money to try and pay off the debt. And this job I've got, well, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemies." explained Bella showing guilt and remorse.
Charlie looked at Bella and his disapproving expression turned to remorse. Seeing that this poor lady went to school to have a bright future, had to take out some loans in order to afford to go to college and after graduating, had to pay off the debt that was probably bigger than the poor lady could handle and was forced to take a horrible job in order to try and make money to pay off the debt and was probably working grueling hours, was run ragged, possibly working for a strict boss and that her future she hoped for was cut off by the mountain of debt. But than an idea came to his mind.
"Oh, that's okay." said Sprig forgiving her.
Before any of them could move, the Ferris wheel jerked and started to move which knocked the three over. Charlie lost his grip on the two but luckily grabbed onto a rail nearby, Sprig was still on top of the carrier while Bella fell from the high height screaming.
"Sprig, we got to do something!" cried Charlie.
Charlie was forced to wait till the carrier reaches the floor but both him and Sprig wouldn't be able to get to her in time. But Sprig gotten an idea as he pulled out the Buguccino from one of his pockets and downed it. His eyes dilated and his vision saw everything that was around him but it all moved slowly and some other people saw her falling. Sprig was now moving as fast as Charlie or faster and he ran around at lightening speed as he grabbed as many pillows, blankets, towels and anything soft he could use to make a pile out of to have Bella land on. Once his sugar high stopped, Charlie swung off the carrier and landed on the floor, running towards Sprig and Bella but the young female newt landed on the pile of pillows, blankets and towels that Sprig put a pile of on.
Bella crawled out from an opening of the pile and she saw Sprig standing next to her while Charlie made it to them in time.
"You alright, Bella?" said Charlie.
"What the... You saved me! Thanks, kid." said Bella feeling grateful.
Their positive mood was interrupted as the male newt that Sprig and Charlie met when they first started to explore the hotel when he asked about one of them winking at the Ferris wheel. The same male newt wearing a green uniform. He took hold of Sprig and Bella by the arm. He was the concierge and he had hostile expression.
"You three are in big trouble! Nobody rides the Hemisphere Ferris wheel for free!" the concierge said sharply.
Sprig quickly pulled out the gold credit card from before and shown it to the concierge.
"Oh, sure. Here you go!" said Sprig.
"He's with me, sir." Charlie chimed in.
"My mistake, you two." said the concierge looking calmed down.
The concierge turned to Bella with his face literally red with anger as he was enraged at her.
"You, on the other hand, are fired!" the concierge sharply told her.
Bella let out a sigh and her eyes shown sadness, her heart feeling as though it was broken in two which she hung her head in shame Charlie was filled with rage and Sprig knew they had to do something. Bella was about to walk off till Charlie chimed in with Sprig.
"Bella, stop right there!" commanded Charlie. "You sir, after what happened just now and what good Bella did for us and how you treated her by yelling at her. I should nail you to a wall by your uptight underpants, bub!"
Bella turned to see that Charlie and Sprig were both coming to her defense. Sprig also came over to defend her. The concierge shown visible fear and shock.
"What kind of man fires his employee when she did an incredible service for us and nearly fell to her death but got saved by two good Samaritans? Especially if the employee is a lady. And touch her like that again, I'll place you under citizen's arrest for assault." said Charlie getting onto the concierge for his cruel behavior towards Bella.
"Were you about to fire your best employee?" said Sprig getting stern.
"My best?" asked the concierge.
"This bellhop recommended the Ferris wheel, but also went above and beyond her duty by showing it to me personally. I think the Newt King, who I happen to know, would be upset if she didn't get a raise!" Sprig said warning him.
"So you got some options, sir. You can let her keep her job and give her a raise by orders of the king and start treating Bella and your workers with respect and don't even think about laying your hands on them. Or we tell the king you fired your best employee without cause and bring up attempt of assault charges on you. I already know that you need this job like any other person does with their job but Bella needs this job as well. People like Bella need this job for so many reasons just like you. They have to put up with so much crap that they don't deserve to go through and they take it and take it because they need their jobs, but at some point, they need my self-respect more." said Charlie giving the concierge the riot act.
The concierge was wide eyed with shock as he knew that with what Sprig and Charlie said when they came to Bella's defense meant that he would be in huge trouble if he proceeded to fire Bella or lay his hands on her ever again. Bella felt like her spirits were rising high to the sky at how the two kids came to her defense. She smiled with a sparkle in her eyes.
"The king? Uh, yes, absolutely. Sound good, Bella?" said the concierge giving Bella a thumbs up.
"Yes, sir!" said Bella giving a salute.
As the concierge turned to walk back to tend to anything his job had him doing for the time being. Bella saw Charlie and Sprig and felt hopeful.
"Thanks, kids. It's people like you that make me ever so slightly more positive about the future." said Bella.
"Don't mention it!" said Sprig.
"Hey Bella?" asked Charlie.
Bella turned to Charlie as he had her attention.
"I know this is none of my business and all but when you said you had a mountain of debt in student loans after four years of college. How much debt was it?" asked Charlie.
Bella looked around and back at the kids as she went in to whisper in Charlie's ear about how much debt she had. Charlie was surprised at the amount she told him.
"Whoa! All that just because you wanted to go to college and have a bright future?" said Charlie. "What if I said that I could do something about that?"
"I'd probably be on cloud nine about it. But I already know that I can't use the card since it doesn't belong to me." said Bella.
"Who said anything about using the credit card?" said Charlie with a grin.
Charlie took off the backpack he still had on him and he gave it to Bella. He went in to whisper to her about how much money was in the bag and Bella took a quick look inside the bag and saw it was all there. Papered money in full with money straps around the bills. As she closed up the bag by pulling the zipper to close it. She looked at Charlie and let out an excitedly happy squeal as she pulled Charlie in for a firm hug. The amount of money in there was more than enough to erase all her debt and still have enough money that the amount of debt she could use to pay it all off wouldn't make a dent.
"This is the kindest thing anyone has ever done for me. I'd kiss you on the lips right now if you were single but I see you have a girl friend." said Bella happily.
"How do you know I'm in a relationship?" asked Charlie blushing.
"That tall girl with what looks like a golden goddess tan. I sort of saw you two kissing when you were going up the elevator to your hotel room so I put two and two together." answered Bella giggling.
"Oh me and Anne are quite the couple of crazy kids." chuckled Charlie.
As Charlie hugged Bella. Sprig was happy that Charlie had given Bella the money that was in the bag as the two of them knew that Bella needed the money more than them. So he was glad that the money was given to someone who could really use it. Sprig pulled out the card he had on him and knew something he could use it for.
"Anyone wanna go buy, like, 500 ant sundaes?" said Sprig offered.
"If you're paying, let's make it 1,000." said Bella.
"This has been quite a day for us all." said Charlie with a grin.
The three went to the ice cream parlor and both Sprig and Bella pigged out on ice cream while one of them offered Charlie some ice cream but he politely turned the offer down as he told them "he already ate" which they understood.
Afterwards, Bella bid farewell to them and they bid farewell to her. Bella knew that with the amount of money in the bad that Charlie told her it had would not only erase every cent of her debt but she'd still have plenty of it left over to last the rest of her life even if she was reincarnated four times.
Charlie carried Sprig up in his arms as they took the elevator to the hotel room they were in. He placed Sprig on the bed and stretched his back.
"What a morning!" said Charlie and Sprig in unison.
As Charlie lay next to Sprig. Anne's phone started to ring but it was the alarm clock function as it was ringing like an alarm clock. Anne, Polly and Hop Pop got up and yawned.
"Nothing like a nap to feel rejuvenated and full of energy." said Hop Pop with a grin. "You guys wanna check out the hotel?"
They all nodded and Anne went to gently shake Sprig and Charlie awake as the rest of them were excited to go on some wacky, adventurous fun but as Sprig pulled the pillow to cover his face. Charlie jerked awake and stood up but fell to the floor the second he was on his feet. They all looked to see this was something they didn't expect.
"Did you two have a little adventure while we were asleep?" asked Anne looking curious.
"Nagai hanashidesu." said Charlie sleepily.
"Translation Anne?" asked Polly.
"He said it's a long story." Anne translated.
