Things in Newtopia were looking like everything was normal in general through out the day or as normal as the city usually is. The locals of Newtopia, while they were used to seeing human females since Marcy was the first human the locals saw there but than Anne was a surprise to them as they never saw another human before but when they saw Charlie, an actual male human. Many of the locals were still getting used to seeing a male human. The female population were ether developing a crush on him, especially when some of them saw his musical performance back at the Hemisphere Hotel as word spread around fast about his musical talents.
"You did what for who?" asked Anne surprised.
"Bella, the bellhop at the hotel was needing the money more than we did. That prize money was from a karaoke competition and after finding out that Bella had gone through all four years at the university and she had a mountain of debt in student loans, working a job where she's overworked, her boss was a bit of a strict hard-ass. The lady was going through a life that she didn't want to go through because her debt had put a hold on the bright future she wanted. So I couldn't bear to see her go through that. So after her boss got harsh on her and proceeded to fire her without cause, me and Sprig came to her defense, read the concierge the riot act, told him that the king would be very upset that he fired her without cause and that she was his best employee who did something very miraculous for us and that the king suggest she'd be given a raise. He caved faster than a trail of dominoes once one of them got knocked over and the rest followed." explained Charlie.
"Just out of curiosity. How much was the prize money from that competition you've won?" asked Hop Pop.
Sprig and Charlie looked around and back at them as they whispered how much money was the prize money that Charlie won and gave to Bella. Their eyes widened from surprise as they knew how much it was.
"That much?" said Hop Pop shocked.
"That can make anyone set for life! Four times over!" said Polly.
"She had a mountain of debt on her and I've heard many stories on how it affects people. So I gave her the money to erase her debt completely which even the amount of debt she pays off with it wouldn't make a dent in it. Sprig and I figured the sweet little lady needed the money more than anyone of us did." said Charlie with a proud expression.
Anne was filled with such joyous pride that both Sprig and Charlie did something so sweet for someone else. Hop Pop felt a deep sense of pride as he learned Charlie and Sprig did such an act of kindness for someone less fortunate while Polly was showing respect for Charlie. Anne pulled him in to hug him in her arms and Charlie knew that Anne and the Plantars would feel feel this way about the kind act he did. What Charlie didn't expect was his face was pressed to Anne's noticeably big and thick breasts area which made him blush deeply.
"That's got to be the sweetest thing I've ever heard anyone do for another. That, and a mall cop that reunited me with my parents when I once got lost at the mall when I was six." said Anne. "But what you did may actually have that time beat."
"You got lost at the mall back at home once, huh? Same thing happened to me at that age. The mall cop quickly noticed me and took me to the security room so we can wait for mom and my aunt and which ever ladies that were with us at the time." explained Charlie.
Anne and Charlie blushed and looked at each other and chuckled as they knew they had both had the same experience they spoke of.
"The mall cop I was with at the time was a guy. A bit on the heavy side but he was a sweet guy. Married, has kids. A little stoic but he expressed his emotions through his actions." said Anne.
"Huh? The mall cop that reunited me with my folks back at home was a woman. She had a healthy appearance, slender body, so I automatically assumed she worked out to some exercise videos. But not gonna lie, it was hard to look away from her because I heard a lot of people say she looks like a model just because she was healthy looking and she had, well, you know, well developed. But she's really nice and great with kids." explained Charlie.
They all blushed at the mention of this woman mall officer that Charlie mentioned as if they were thinking that Charlie at that age he mentioned the event happening in was the first time he saw a woman with a developed body.
"Wait, you're telling me that this lady had a pair of big..." Polly began.
"Bongo drums. She had a set of bongo drums she carries with her everywhere and she played them to relieve any stress. But them drums she took with her everywhere were made of beautiful mahogany wood." Charlie finished while lying. "What's next to do?"
As Charlie changed the subject immediately to avoid talking about something that kids like Sprig or Polly shouldn't learn about till they were older, that's when Anne, Charlie and the Plantars went off to do something fun in the city. Polly was cracking up laughing silently.
"Charlie saw big boobies." chuckled Polly under her breath.
"Whose turn is it to choose the next activity?" asked Charlie.
Later on during the day. They found out what they were doing for the activity as Anne, Charlie and the Plantars were now riding on a pale green tour bus that was being pulled by a giant crab. There was a sign on both sides of the bus that read "Newtopia Tours" in mustard yellow lettering with a message above it reading "Just Look, Don't Touch" with the two Os for look appearing to look like a pair of eyes.
The tour they were going on for Newtopia wasn't what the kids were expecting as being on the tour bus for over twenty minutes by now has left them bored and slightly annoyed. Charlie almost fell out of his seat from nodding off but managed to keep awake by looking out the bus's windows at the sights. He sat next to Anne with Polly in his lap.
The tour guide on the bus was a young male newt adult. He wore a light brown cap and shirt with dark brown pants. He had provolone cheese colored skin with brown spots. He appeared to a cheery newt from his sunny disposition. He spoke in what looked like a mushroom shaped microphone.
"Welcome, ladies and gentle-phibians, to a safe uneventful afternoon of touristy nonsense. It may not be as eventful as other tours but did I mention it's safe?" said the tour guide.
"This is the last time we let Hop Pop pick the activity." said Anne looking bored out of her mind.
"I'm not saying a word." said Charlie.
"Look Anne and Charlie, we've got a few days to kill before King Andrias reveals his findings about the music box. And what better way to spend that time than learning?" said Hop Pop with a grin.
The kids groaned in annoyance as they knew this was not what any of them had in mind for an activity to do in Newtopia. Anne nearly sliding in her seat as they passed by a few locations. They were not the only ones on the bus as there were other amphibian male and female tourists.
"Iitakunai nodesuga, kore wa totemo taikutsudesu." said Charlie.
"Awww, we got a foreigner on our bus." said the tour guide looking thrilled. "But I'm afraid I don't know the language he just spoke. Can anyone translate?"
"He said he's seeing a lot on this tour and hopes to see a lot more." lied Anne.
"I take it that means he understands what I say, despite the fact he possibly speaks more than one language." said the tour guide.
"That would be yes." answered Anne.
The tour guide went back to doing his job while Charlie looked at Anne with a grim face.
"Should we keep it between us that what you told him about what I said was a lie?" whispered Charlie.
"Big time." Anne agreed. "I will admit, I see you gotten a trim."
Charlie smiled.
"I figured my hair was getting a bit too long to handle so me and Sprig went to a local barber shop at the hotel. He was really nice, good with people, and he knew what he was doing when I told him I was going for a trim." said Charlie blushing. "He was a bit on the effeminate side. I think he was, you know, only into guys."
Anne chuckled and blushed from the last thing Charlie told her.
"Looks like he knew how to care for someone's hair because it's a bit shorter but still long and flowing. Just like when that male blonde actor starred in that film about someone interviewing a vampire. You and him both got long, gorgeous locks." said Anne tracing her fingers through his hair.
"We both got a full head of gorgeous locks. We might as well be a couple of wild childs." said Charlie giggling.
Anne smiled and giggled as she kissed Charlie on his cheeks, causing him to blush. Anne looked out the window and saw some interesting sights out there. Plenty of stands that ether sold interesting clothes, trinkets, exotic foods and drinks, plenty of fruit. Charlie looked out the window and saw the same thing Anne saw while he did see that some other female locals noticed him from afar and they waved at him with a blushing grin. Charlie blushed a bit deeper and looked away.
"Charlie, what did you see?" asked Polly.
"Just the sights." Charlie told half the truth.
"Oh, wow, what's that place?" said Anne looking amused.
"Imminent danger. Look away!" said the tour guide as he was now standing near them.
"But imminent is the best kind of danger." Polly complained.
"Sir, you probably might want to step back a couple of feet. A little too close." Charlie said nervously. "Didn't you ever experience something like that?"
The tour guide just noticed he was a little too close to Charlie, Anne and Polly which he blushed from the sudden realization.
"Sorry about that. Just making sure we stay away from danger." the tour guide chuckled nervously. "Also, I did have someone in my family like that, my cousin Jeremy had very little concept of personal space through out his teenage years."
"All is well, sir." chuckled Charlie.
The tour guide went back to where he stood and Charlie let out a sigh as he knew that Anne could feel the same thing he was. Both of them felt a bit bored from the tour they were given on the bus. Charlie knew the tour guide means well, is making sure that everyone on the bus is safe since he's responsible for those on the bus yet he knew that the activity they were doing quickly got mindlessly boring.
"This tour guide so needs a girl friend." Charlie thought to himself.
"Now then, what's the most important thing to do when visiting Newtopia? Any guesses?" asked the tour guide.
"Ooh, ooh! Eating like a local? Looking like a local? Partying with the locals?" guessed Anne while dancing her shoulders at the last guess.
Charlie felt a brief bit of excitement as he patted his knees with his hands like they drums. It was as if he tried to drum up a musical beat.
"Pātī e no junbi ga dekite, akachan"
Charlie sung in a powerful yet excitable tone as if ready to party. He and Anne slapped each other a high five. But their excitement was cut short.
"Nope. It's getting to know the city from a safe distance. Like on this bus." said the tour guide.
The kids slumped in their seats in disappointment.
"This guy needs a really hot girl friend. One with a big butt, big set of boobies, big, full lips and has a fiery personality." Charlie thought to himself.
"This is just like when I'd go traveling with my mom." said Anne looking bummed. "What about you Char Char?"
"I wouldn't say we had it any better or worse. When it came to traveling. We had to make plan to get nine people out of the house. But as for when we'd travel. My mom and my aunt usually kept everything steady and under control. Everyone else was good with watching out for each other but both Mabel and Kagura had a habit of being...party animals." explained Charlie with a pause. "Especially Kagura, she'd convince me to go with her and pull me into mambo dancing...that was around at least one or two years before I got used to being the only guy in the house."
Flashback
Charlie thought back to the time he mentioned and what he remembered was that Kagura and Mabel got distracted by a dancing event at an exotic festival. He remembers the dancing event was playing some sort of fiery yet slightly sexy Latin mambo music. Since he remembers he was still considered a little kid at the time. He remembered that day all too well.
"Dance the mambo! Yeah, do the mambo!" cheered Kagura.
"I don't know if we should be doing this. Maybe we should get back to the others. They'll probably be waiting at the hotel we're staying the night at." said a nervous Charlie.
"Oh come on! You know you wanna mambo, little man." said Kagura insisting.
Kagura took hold of Charlie's hand and pulled him over to dance with him as she was dragging Charlie over to mambo with him which he was forced to mambo with her. It looked like Kagura was excitably dancing with a surprised, wide eyed Charlie as he was forced to dance along with her, it looked like the two were dancing but Kagura was the one leading or leading the both of them from the looks of it.
"Rum-bum-bum-bum-dah! Rum-bum-bum-bum-dah! Rum-bum-bum-bum-dah!" Kagura sang to the mambo music.
"Kagura-a-a-a! Can't keep u-u-u-u-up! If mom finds out we snuck off!" cried Charlie as he got spun around twice.
"I know you're having a good time! Just think of one day, you'll be dancing with your dream woman!" said Kagura excitedly. "Yeah Charlie boy! Dance with me! Groove with me!"
"Stop spinning me!" cried Charlie.
Kagura eventually stopped and pulled Charlie in for a big hug which was a bit of a firm gripped one. Charlie was left panting.
"One of these days you'll be a ladies man." said Kagura proceeding to kiss him on his cheeks.
Flashback Ends
Charlie remembered that day and knew that it was having it's crazy moments, especially when Kagura was eagerly leading him into mambo dancing that he wasn't expecting. He was left blushing from the memory.
"Was this Kagura having a crush on you?" asked Polly curiously.
"I'll let you know if I ever found out." answered Charlie. "But more importantly. Kagura's always been like that. What about you Anne? Was traveling with your mom really like what you said it was?"
Anne went silent for a moment and she was remembering a time when she was really little. She remembered a time when she was traveling with her mom at age five. She was with her mother in a red car and they stopped nearby a few food stands that served exotic or foreign foods.
She remembered asking her mother if she could try some of the food that was being served at a food stand but her mother kindly said "No" as she was stating that her California stomach couldn't handle such foods or delicacies of the sort. She let Anne have baby carrots with trail mix that she had in a plastic bag. This left Anne at that age whimpering in sadness.
Once Anne was back to reality, she was tearing up about the memory as she wasn't very happy about that time which Charlie wrapped his arm around her and hugged Anne, slowly rocking her back and forth. Doing so seem to quickly console Anne. Suddenly, Anne got an idea.
"You know what? This time I'm gonna experience the city the way the locals do! Not sit on a bus like some dumb tourist!" said Anne.
The tour guide started to talk about the tour bus they were on which to the tourists from the world of Amphibia found amusing, the only ones not amused were Anne, Charlie, Polly and Sprig.
"Count me in. So what do we do?" said Polly joining in.
"Follow my lead." instructed Anne.
"Anne, what are you planning?" asked Charlie.
Anne looked towards him and whispered to him what her plan was into his ear and once she told him, she planted her lips to his cheeks and forehead which left him blushing with a grin.
"That sounds so naughty." chuckled Charlie.
The three winked at each other and Anne started to feign a groaning sound as she clutched her stomach like she was sick or about to loss her lunch.
"Oh, man, Hop Pop, my stomach is killing me. Can we go back to the hotel?" groaned Anne looking ill.
"Uh, me too. I need to get off now or I'll explode." cried Polly.
Everyone and the passengers all gasped ether in fear or shock. Hop Pop was feeling some disappointment about the tour being postponed but Charlie had a word of comfort.
"Everyone, she's not gonna explode like a hand grenade, she's just feeling a little sick. Lets just calm ourselves. Ochitsuku!" Charlie announced. "Hop Pop, why don't you let them go back to the hotel themselves? Normally, I wouldn't want one of us going off alone anywhere but if Anne is going with Polly, than they should be good on their own. Shinpai muyō."
"And we're back. But you two gotta promise me you'll go straight to the hotel. No detours!" warned Hop Pop.
"We promise!" said Anne and Polly in unison.
"Sprig you coming?" asked Anne.
"I thought you'd never ask." said Sprig about to get up.
Sprig was stopped when he tried to go with them but he stopped a foot to his left and heard a clanging of chains. He looked to find himself handcuffed to Hop Pop. Sprig gasped at what he just saw. Seeing that for some reason had Charlie break into laughter as he laughed his now iconic madman like laugh. Everyone on the bus that didn't know him were surprised he could laugh like that.
"I'm sorry for laughing Sprig but what Hop Pop just did and your reaction! I couldn't help myself!" laughed Charlie.
"You handcuffed us together?" said a shocked Sprig.
"Sorry, Sprig, but after the Ruins of Disaster incident, you've left me no choice." said Hop Pop giving a reason for his drastic method.
"Isn't that a little extreme?" said Charlie calming after his laugh.
"I may not like this method but I didn't see any other option." answered Hop Pop.
"Well, the jokes on you. Anne and Polly would never leave me." said Sprig feeling optimistic.
"Later, dude." said Anne walking off the bus with Polly.
Hop Pop looked towards Charlie who apparently wasn't looking too bothered but he was feeling bored. He looked like he wanted to join Anne and Polly on their little adventure.
"Hey Charlie, could you follow Anne and Polly and make sure they go to the hotel?" asked Hop Pop.
Charlie looked at Hop Pop and although he didn't show it but he felt a sense of relief. He pretended that he was not understanding why he'd suggest something like that.
"Are you sure? I mean if they're at the hotel. They could have some girl time. When's the last time they had some girl time to themselves?" asked Charlie curiously.
"Actually, they did have some girl time but it kind of lead to disaster." said Hop Pop looking worried.
Hop Pop explained to Charlie what happened last time when Anne and Polly had spent some "Girl Time" together and he explained everything they did and everything it lead to which ended or lead to disaster but despite the fact they found a way to remedy the situation. Everything Hop Pop told Charlie had his optimism quickly fade, his heart racing with worry and some fear.
"Hop Pop! Why didn't you or Anne tell me this before?" asked Charlie looking horrified.
"I thought Anne told you." said Hop Pop surprised.
Charlie realized that what Hop Pop told him meant that he knew that Anne and Polly were going off to see the sights of Newtopia and if they were to have a repeat of what they did for girl time. Than that had a siren blaring off in his head that was screaming "Red Alert! Girl friend in danger! Protect girl friend from any possible danger!" and he got up from his seat.
"One more getting off the bus! Sprig, sorry I laughed at you." said Charlie really fast.
Sprig nearly screamed in horror that he was stuck on the tour bus with Hop Pop and as Charlie was the next person off the bus. The bus drove off with the giant crab pulling it along.
Anne and Polly were looking at the parts of Newtopia they saw from the bus's windows while Charlie hid behind a sign, watching the two from a distance. He saw the two girls walk off to go explore while he followed without being noticed. He made sure they didn't see him as he followed them.
"God protect the girls and me." said Charlie looking up at the sky.
