The Self-Insert Heretic!

I'm 19, I'm a typical poor college kid working his way through college. Really, the only thing you need to know is that pants are for the weak!

And, of course, no waifu, no laifu!

Disclaimer: I know most... Okay, a lot of people don't like "self-insert" stories. However, writing is a hobby for me, and I'm honestly going to write things how I enjoy them. Normally, this is by putting myself or a character based off myself into the story with a role of, "how would I react to this?" Some are near exact copies of me (like the OC is Fate/creed). Others are more of an exaggeration of a character flaw or trait or some such.

That said, I do try to keep things as close to canon as possible. If I get an idea, but can't make something work, it'll simmer for a while until I come up with a way to make it work within the constraints and limitations of that setting. Some worlds, such as the Nasuverse, make it extremely easy through use of something akin to the Second Magic. Others, such as Fire Emblem, are used via the Outrealm Portals and devices and processes like them.

Like I said, I keep it as canon as I can. Characters don't suddenly develop new abilities. The OC isn't some powerhouse who can defeat the first three Big Bads by himself (they're an addition to the protagonists, sure, but I add in other elements that even the playing field anyways). I try to make it as true to the original story while at the same time, being unique and different enough for people to enjoy.

At the end of the day, I'm just a guy who writes self-insert fanfiction. The most I can ask is that you at least give it a chance, rather than simply cry, "Heretic!" and smite me down with Ye Olde Reviews. That's all, and if you managed to get through my rambling this far, I thank you for reading this, and whatever work of mine you've gone through.
