What felt like close to a week had been mostly a good trip for Anne, Charlie and the Plantars as they were heading back to Wartwood. Along the way, Charlie found another tree full of fruit and he used his katana sword to cut plenty of the fruit down from the tree.
They gathered up the fruit that Charlie cut down with ether a large basket or bag or more. Charlie was careful to only cut the fruit off the tree from the fruit's stems. He was really fast and placed his sword back in it's sheath afterwards.
"Charlie's getting faster." said Hop Pop.
When Charlie would carry any of the heavy bags or baskets, he made sure he was doing the heavy lifting for them as he placed the bags and baskets of fruit inside the caravan.
"And stronger." said Polly taking notice.
"Charlie, have you noticed you've been getting stronger and faster recently?" asked Sprig curiously.
After Charlie placed the last bag and basket into the caravan. He turned to face them as they all continued on their journey back to Wartwood.
"I mainly thought it was just because I've been more physically active than usual. I mean, I know when I first met you guys and was adjusting to Wartwood in the first place, I've shown to be fast and strong, but now that you mention it. Something about it does seem to be sticking out like a sore thumb more than usual." said Charlie. "Wouldn't surprise me if I suddenly developed super powers like a superhero."
They all went silent as they wondered if what Charlie said meant something. There were times when they started to recall that Charlie's hair and eyes turned gold along with a mysterious gold energy flowing around him, and that his muscles would grow bigger but that was when he was ether really angry, in battle mode against a dangerous enemy or when he saw someone he cares about was in danger and rushed to their side. They were aware of it but they didn't know if it was their imagination or if Charlie was exposed to something that caused this to happen to him.
They did recall some times recently that shown Charlie was getting stronger when taking on the enemy, faster when he would be running, jumping off any surface and anything of the sort. They noticed but they just didn't know how to talk about it or what to say about it for that matter. They continued on as they figured it's something they should talk about later.
"How does one say brother in your native language?" asked Sprig.
"Ani." answered Charlie.
"How do they say sister?" asked Polly.
"Shisutā." answered Charlie. "The Japanese are known for talking fast in their native language. Although, we've had some people in the country me and Anne live in that have been known to be fast talkers too. But some of them are mainly trying to be funny that way."
Charlie suddenly shown an example as he uttered a phrase in Japanese and he shown that he was right about the Japanese talking fast. He took a breath afterwards as Sprig and Polly were amazed he could talk that fast.
"In translation. It means "Never eat burritos and broccoli in the same day" ." Charlie translated.
"What happens if you do that?" asked Sprig curiously.
"They sometimes put beans in burritos. Beans make you fart and broccoli makes your fart smell worse than the inside of someone's gym bag if they have a pair of socks, shorts and underwear in there after a big game of basketball." said Charlie with a shudder.
"Is the smell that bad?" asked Sprig.
"You don't wanna know." Charlie advised.
The two frog children were wide eyed at what Charlie said. They've smelt some bad scents before but from what Charlie described to them. They saw he wasn't kidding around and knew the smell had to be as foul as he described.
On the seventh day during their trip back to Wartwood. They stopped as everyone was rushing out of the caravan. The girls went on one side of the caravan while the boys went on the other side.
"Alright, this will be a quick stop to use the bathroom. So use it if you got to." instructed Hop Pop.
"No argument here!" the kids said in unison.
They were all having to use the bathroom near a tree but each one of them would look away from each other in case they saw something from the other that they'd wish they never saw. Charlie on one hand felt a bit uncomfortable trying to use it near anyone on the road. He let out a sigh.
"Hop Pop, not to sound alarming but I kind of want to use it while I'm alone. Could I go behind a tree nearby? I don't want anyone seeing me using it." Charlie asked.
"Normally, I'd advise against it since that time we encountered the maned-komodo but are you sure about this?" asked Hop Pop as his parental instincts were showing.
They heard Sprig laughing as if he heard someone tell him a very hilarious joke.
"Hey look, I can write my name with all this pee." laughed Sprig.
"On second though. You don't want to see that. Just don't go off too far." said Hop Pop as he finished up. "Sprig, hold still when you go number one."
Charlie walked off and went passed the tree as he was going off to find a tree to use it but he heard Hop Pop scream in disgust from a distance.
"Ewwww! Sprig, you got some of it on me!" came Hop Pop's voice in a tone of disgust.
"Sorry, but I jumped a bit when you tapped me on my shoulder." Sprig said trying not to laugh.
"And to think I used to change you and Polly's diapers." groaned Hop Pop.
Charlie chuckled at the conversation he heard and he found a tree nearby. He went behind it and went to use it. He had his pants and underwear down as he was relieving himself. The flow of pee hitting the ground and the bottom of the tree.
"The sooner we're back in Wartwood. The sooner we can use an actual toilet again." said Charlie under his breath.
After Charlie felt the flow stop. He pulled his underwear and pants up but that's when he heard a sound that was of nearby rustling. His senses sharpened as he slowly turned around and saw nothing that made the noise. He sniffed the air but all he smelled was the natural scent of being out in the open of the great outdoors.
He stood still for a moment and heard nothing. He brushed it off and was about to head back till something stopped him. He heard another sound but it was a twig snapping, than he heard nearby rustling and loud hissing. He placed his hand on the sheath of his sword that he had tied to his waist.
"Please let it be something that won't try to kill us." said Charlie popping his neck.
"Is someone there? I need some assistance." came a woman's voice.
The woman's voice sounded like a hint of shrill like a whispering air but it also sounded distinctly yet slightly British yet it sounded like a powerful woman's voice. Charlie didn't see where it was coming from but it sounded close.
"Is somewhere out there? A little help here." the woman's voice spoke again.
Charlie knew that there was a possibility this could be a trap or a possibility this was a real cry for help and being out there in the middle of nowhere without being equipped to travel was a survival situation that he remembered from some stories he saw in reality shows that did dramatic reenactments of the stories events. He remembered that in some of them stories, people got hurt or died.
"Helping someone in a possible dire situation. Hop Pop, I'll only be a minute, if not more." said Charlie under his breath.
Charlie ran towards the source of the voice and he kept hearing this woman's voice calling out. He passed by one tree after the other till he stopped at a clearing and he saw what looked like a lady newt hanging upside down from what looked like a rope. He could see she was hanging from a rope and was hanging upside down by at least eight feet into the air. She spotted him and smiled.
"You there, young...uhhhhh...young male? Yes, you there, could you possibly cut me down? I'm just traveling on business and I got caught in a forgotten snare trap." she called.
"I take it you don't have a sharp object on you, right?" asked Charlie.
"The only sharp thing I have on me is my shoulder blade or my wit, unfortunately." said the newt lady. "Could you please cut me down?"
"Can you land on your feet? Once I cut the rope, you got about a few seconds to make a safe landing." Charlie warned.
"I'm quite athletic, you know. I actually took dancing classes before and been known to get the attention of many admirers with my dancing." the newt lady reassured.
Charlie decided to take her work for it. He ran forwards and jumped up, he bounced from one tree to another with his feet as he got higher up and quickly drew out his sword to cut the rope in a brief snapping sound of the rope. Both fell but the newt lady did a flip and both of them landed on their feet to the ground.
He turned to see the newt woman who untied the rope that was wrapped around her left ankle. She stood up on her feet and Charlie saw she was a tall female newt.
She was a tall, pink newt with a slender build and white-blonde hair that protrudes from the back of her head. She had a lighter shaded underbelly, and a long tail, featuring darker pink spots. Her eyes were glowing yellow with black thin pupils when looked closely. She wore what looked like Newtopian-issued armor, made of silver, including two pauldrons patterned with intricate swirling designs, similar to the rest of her armor. She wore a cape which depicted the symbol of the Newtopia flag. Pinned to her chest was her military insignia, boasting her rank as general. Her armor features two long switchblades in each gauntlet. Charlie didn't recognize her, he didn't know her, didn't know if she was part the Newtopian military, he didn't know who she was affiliated with.
As she turned to look at him and he looked at her. He placed his sword back in it's sheath while the newt lady was about to approach him but Charlie raised a hand to stop her.
"Halt. Do you have any wounds, injuries, cuts, bruises, anything internally injured? Anything broken?" asked Charlie showing concern.
"Not a scratch." she answered.
"Can you state your name?" asked Charlie.
She smiled and she was about to strike a pose but she remembered something that made her stop.
"Don't let him know who you are just yet. You can boast about who you are to him later." she thought to herself.
As she stopped, she cleared her throat.
"I'm Gener- I mean I'm generally some normal, everyday newt lady. I'm Yunan." she corrected herself.
As she gazed at him, she raised her long and very thick and wide tail as she placed the end of it on Charlie's right side of his chest. He blushed from this and she was showing a confident expression.
"I must say, for someone of your...species. You look rather cute." complimented Yunan.
"I appreciate that. And what were you doing out here?" asked Charlie.
"I was doing business. I'm part of a business that does investments, well, I'm part of their security. The usual person who was going to do the task got sick and couldn't go. So I volunteered. I was told by someone that my destination was nearby but I briefly lost the trail." lied Yunan. "But I think I know where to go but I'm not sure if I'm going the right way. There's something that I was told to look for in the specified location but I don't know what it looks like. Would it be possible if you could assist me?"
Charlie knew that on one hand, he wanted to help her, but on the other hand, he had to get back to Anne and the Plantars. He knew that he shouldn't be out there much longer.
"Is it dangerous?" Charlie asked.
"They told me it isn't but I lost my weapon along the trail. I accidentally dropped it and my sword went down a cliff." Yunan lied again. "But you have a sword in case we run into a monstrous beast."
He looked at his sword and knew she was right. He turned his attention back to her as Yunan placed her left hand on his chest as if to show a sign of trust. Charlie knew he had to get back but he couldn't leave an unarmed person out there and making makeshift weapons from the elements around them could only do so much in defending one's self. He relented.
"Okay, but what do we have to look for that a guide told you to find?" asked Charlie.
"An old statue of a newt male that struck this pose." Yunan described.
She struck the pose she was telling him about which she stood up straight, she looked to her left and raised her arm up to make it look like she was pointing towards the direction she faced.
"That's the pose?" asked Charlie raising one eyebrow.
"They would've done it in a different pose but they felt the original pose was too inappropriate. Especially if kids saw it." Yunan lied.
She stopped doing the pose and turned to Charlie as she placed her hand underneath his chin. This caused him to blush while he was feeling a bit nervous but he brushed it off as she appeared harmless and had no weapons on her.
"Well, alright." said Charlie.
He gave her a stoic expression which surprised her.
"But there's one simple bit of advice you should know." Charlie said in a deep and low tone. "Do not stray from me. You stick to my side like crazy glue."
"Understood. Keep a tight grip on it. You don't want to make the same clumsy mistake I did." Yunan advised.
He nodded and Yunan led the way which Charlie followed. They walked down a dirt pathway which was leading somewhere. Charlie kept his sword at the ready while Yunan walked with him. She smiled and tried to appear to be giggling to hide any signs of evil or any signs of deceit.
"Are you looking at my tail? Naughty naughty." Yunan teased.
Charlie blushed at the question.
"No I am not." said Charlie with a hiccup. "Is looking at a newt woman's tail considered a perverted action? If so, than I'm not looking at it."
"It depends on the amphibian but no. Looking at their bongos and their backdoor. Now that's an act of perversion." Yunan stated. "But I'm only teasing you. I know you're not looking at me down there."
She chuckled as Charlie figured she was one of them type of people who told or pulled small jokes. He figured he could be okay with it as long as she didn't pull pranks on him.
"I didn't get your name, young man." said Yunan.
"I'm Charlie." he introduced himself.
They suddenly stopped and Yunan had a startled, wide eyed expression as she held out her arm to stop Charlie. Charlie was about to ask why they stopped but he got his answer when he looked forwards. They saw they stopped at the edge of a cliff which led down a steep hill.
"One more step and one of us would've fallen down there like Wile E. Coyote." said Charlie relieved.
"Whose Wile E. Coyote?" asked Yunan curiously.
"Fictional character from a lot of funny stories. One of the running gags was he would fall off a cliff when chasing a roadrunner. The story series is a comedy." Charlie explained in simple terms.
"Right, we got left. This trail leads to where I need to be. If the statue isn't there. Than we'll have already gone into the wrong direction. Hopefully, that won't happen." Yunan instructed.
Yunan walked towards the left and used her tail to reach over and wrapped around Charlie's waist to pull him along which he wasn't expecting her to do that sort of thing.
"Whoa. Your tail is really strong." said Charlie blushing deeply.
"What? Girls can't be strong with a strong newt tail?" Yunan teased playfully.
Charlie let out another hiccup. He felt like he offended her.
"I didn't mean it like that." said Charlie apologetically.
She laughed and gently bumped her fist to his shoulder.
"I'm just teasing." chuckled Yunan.
She used her tail to pull him closely to her. Their bodies touching as she wrapped one arm around him. Even though she was showing some affection. Charlie was feeling a bit awkward from this but even Yunan may have shown an affectionate side but on the inside, she was feeling like she was laughing evilly inside as her plans appeared to be working.
"Just a little longer and I'll have him right where I want him. Than bam! Got him." Yunan thought.
"Miss Yunan, your armor is cold." said Charlie feeling a chill on his skin.
"Well, I got some good news. This trail looks like what the guide told me and I see something straight ahead. This looks like the right trail." said Yunan pointing ahead.
They looked forwards and it looked like there was a clearing at the end of the trail which was fifty feet away. There was something in the distance there but it was too far away to tell what it was. Without warning, she unwrapped her tail from him and began running forwards.
"Race ya! Last one there is slug slime!" Yunan dared.
Charlie felt like he couldn't resist a race but he figured this would help her get to where she needed to be and for him to get back to Anne and the Plantars faster. He ran after her and caught up to her.
"You must be great with kids with how affectionate you are. Lets see if you can outrun me." said Charlie taking on the dare.
He ran right passed her but without him knowing. Yunan hung back on purpose as she let him make to the end of the clearing. Yunan had an evil smile on her face.
"Hurry up and run." Yunan said under her breath. "Wouldn't want anything bad to happen."
The two switchblades from each gauntlet of hers extended out in a loud "Shing" which she started to laugh evilly in a quiet tone. While Charlie made it to the end of the trail. He approached the clearing and stopped.
"I win!" said Charlie victoriously.
Charlie looked to see what was at the clearing. All he saw was what looked like the ruins of what appeared to be a stone made building. But he didn't see a statue anywhere. The ruins of the building looked like the only part of it that remained was room small enough to be the size of a hut. It had walls and a roof but he could see that there was two exits to it. One in the front and another in the back. There were pieces of the walls from outside it all around it but it's appearance looked like something similar to Stonehenge.
"Hey Yunan, where's the statue? I think we've gone the wrong...ahhhh!" Charlie grunted.
He felt something sharp touch him from behind his back. It felt like a sharp knife was poking at his back from behind. He froze and he heard an evil laugh from behind him. He recognized the tone of voice.
"Drop your weapon, now." Yunan suggested.
Charlie sensed danger and he figured that Yunan had a knife or dagger she hidden from him. He slowly reached for his sword and untied the bind he had on it that secured it to his waist.
"Toss it now. Or I'm gonna give wittle baby a giant boo boo." Yunan instructed while taunting him.
"What's going on?" asked Charlie.
Yunan pulled the sword out of his hands and tossed it away far enough for it to be all the way over to the ruins. That's when she came closer to him and placed her cheek against his right cheek, sniffing his neck.
"Do you obviously think you were helping someone? You must be a really stupid little creature. I wonder if your kind are really this dumb." Yunan insulted.
She used her foot to kick Charlie down as the kick to his back sent him falling forwards, going down a small hill which he groaned in pain as he made it to the bottom with a stiff impact to the ground. He felt pain stinging him around his back, shoulders and even one of his legs as he slowly tried to get up.
"Son of a bitch!" groaned Charlie sharply.
Yunan leaped forwards and when she landed near him, she swung her foot and kicked him in the back once more. She grabbed him by the shirt and pulled him up to his feet. As he faced her, he was punched in the face hard and just when he was about to fall forwards, that's when she grabbed him again to prevent him from falling and was going to punch him again.
"Hasn't anyone told you that you shouldn't use such language? Bad boy, bad little boy!" taunted Yunan.
She punched him in his face again and sent him falling to the ground again. He tried to get up but took a minute to spit as his mouth slowly filled with blood. He was bleeding from his mouth.
"You were lying to me, were you?" asked Charlie rhetorically.
"Oh? Is the ugly baby using his tiny brain to think for once?" Yunan mocked.
Charlie got up and prepared to defend himself but when he got up. That's when he saw Yunan pointing the blades from one of her gauntlets at his throat. He froze as he knew one false move and his throat would be sliced to ribbons. He saw Yunan's face had a psychotic grin.
"I'll bet Yunan isn't even your name." Charlie guessed.
"Nope, that was the truth. But everything else was a lie. You got some choices. Ether come with me quietly or maybe I'll cut you up like fire wood, maybe we can have a little fun, naked, or maybe I will tell everyone you touched me and tried to rape me. With those I work with or work for, it's basically more of me against one." Yunan threatened.
Charlie was wide eyed with shock. He was strongly reminded of Captain Grime, Sasha, and the toad army. But he figured that Yunan was bluffing or it's possible she was telling the truth. He leaned to his first suspicion.
"Why should I believe anything you tell me is the truth?" said Charlie slightly not convinced.
"Maybe I'll tell whoever is your girl friend that you're cheating on her...with me. I'll tell her that you and me kissed on the lips, with tongues in each others mouth and that we took a few hours to fuck out here. And that it felt good when you plowed my hiney." Yunan continued to threaten him.
Charlie felt like this was now crossing the line. Threatening to lie to his girl friend about him having an affair with Yunan, threatening to hurt him, possibly kill him, even threatening to sexually assault him or even threatening to frame him for a crime he didn't commit. He was reminded of Fens and Bog but with Yunan holding him hostage with those blades at his throat, he knew the only way to defend himself was to get his sword but it was several feet away from him. He was starting to feel a mix of fear and anger. He knew that this meant she was probably following them or she saw them and heard some of their conversations. He suspected that she might be working with the toads.
"You're sick." said Charlie disgusted. "Yunan, more like Yawning."
Yunan walked closer to him while she kept the two blades close to his throat. She was now standing next to him while one arm was wrapped around him while she now held the two blades near his soft stomach.
"You don't realize the gravity of your situation, do you? I could just slice your throat open and you choke on your own blood or slice open your tummy, spilling your internal organs, possibly severing an artery. One false move and slice, splat goes the blood and organs." Yunan chuckled while giving graphic descriptions of murder.
She retracted her blades and held him in her arms as she sensually rubbed his chest and his belly as she had him in a firm and inescapable grip. He felt trapped as he tried to think of an idea on how to get himself out of this situation.
"What else have you lied about?" said Charlie shaking all over.
"Everything but my name and the dancing classes." said Yunan admitting the truth. "You know, maybe in your cooperate with me, I'll spare your life and I won't tell anyone about the false claims."
She used her newt like tail to reach over for his crotch area as if attempting to undo his pants but she only used her tail to trace up his front body to his belly and chest. Charlie was now starting to feel afraid for his life. If only he could somehow distract her long enough to get his sword, especially for her to let go of him. His breathing was starting to increase like he had ran ten miles.
"Oh? What's the matter? Am I frightened the baby? Is the baby gonna cry? Waa, waa, waa." teased Yunan.
An idea struck Charlie but he knew that it was going to be risky. He only had one shot at it. He gulped and sighed.
"Who are you, really? You lied to me about mostly everything but you never told me who you really are. Could you please tell me? All the great female warriors like yourself always let their enemies know who they are before they take their enemies into custody." lied Charlie.
Yunan finally stopped touching his torso and smiled. Her heart pounding with excitement and her tail twitched and wagged as if she was waiting for someone to ask her this for ages. She chuckled as she finally released her grip on him, freeing him as she started to strike a few flashy, flamboyant poses.
"My name is General Yunan, scourge of the Sand Wars, defeater of Ragnar the Wretched, and the youngest newt to ever achieve the rank of general in the great Newtopian Army." said Yunan powerfully. "I had an army once but they slowed me down."
As she laughed loudly and maniacally, that's when Charlie took the opportunity to run over to get his sword and once Yunan finally stopped, she that Charlie went to get his sword.
"I should've foreseen this." groaned Yunan.
"General Yawning is putting me to sleep. And you're just another liar and a psychopath!" Charlie insulted.
General Yunan was not only annoyed but she felt insulted. She ran after him and even came to do flip after flip after him, she was gaining on him and once Charlie grabbed hold of his sword, she was stopped flipping and the blades from her gauntlets extended out and she prepared to stab him but Charlie drew out his sword quickly and they blades clashed against each other in a loud clink.
"You're quite fast on your feet. I kind of like it." Yunan stated with a wide eyed grin.
"And just so you know. I don't believe a word that comes out of that fat ass you call a mouth. All I hear everytime you talk is loud farting." Charlie snapped back.
Filled with rage, they pushed each other away and charged at one another. She tried to cut him or stab him with her blades but Charlie successfully dodged every move and at times deflected her attacks with his sword clashing against her blades.
"You may be a good fighter but disobedient children always get spanked for misbehaving." taunted Yunan.
When their blades hit each other, he used his strength to push her away which sent her flying about seven feet but she did a back flip and regained her footing.
"You're no general, you're not with the Newtopian army, you're just another liar, a bully. And your mouth is bigger than your ego." snapped Charlie.
"How dare you! You don't believe who I am? I may have lied, but I'm telling the truth about who I really am! How dare you deny who I am!" Yunan said looking angry.
"I don't believe liars. You're just like the toad army and I'll bet they're in hell after they've been defeated twice, both by frogs, humans and other amphibians they thought were weak." argued Charlie.
They both charged at each other again and as she tried to cut him, she increased her speeds and Charlie was now having to try a bit harder to dodge her and every attack move she attempted to land on him.
"You may be fast for someone as ugly as yourself." insulted Yunan.
With one slash, she managed to hit Charlie's left shoulder, cutting him there while he groaned in pain, he winced but knew there was no time to worry about the cut as he just grit his teeth and tried to bear it. He used his word to deflect and stop Yunan's attack with a loud clink. He struggled to push her away as she was gaining the upper hand.
"Why don't you just give up. It'll be a lot easier on you." Yunan told him.
She pushed forwards and Charlie felt like he was slowly loosing his grip as the blades were getting closer to his face or his chest. He was struggling and grunting as he felt fear flooding his mind and body. His face shown visible fear and panic.
"Is baby scared of General Yunan? Is baby gonna cry for mommy? Waa, waa, waa. I want my mommy." taunted Yunan.
She kept pushing forwards while Charlie struggled to push her, at times, he managed to push her away by several inches but than she would push back in an attempt to cut or stab him.
"Face it, you're weak. I've been trained to take on an army with even very little weaponry. And what as someone as ugly as you been trained for? Nothing! You're just a stupid, crybaby, an ugly little shit whose even dumber than monkeys. That's what you are. A big, stupid, monkey!" insulted Yunan feeling prideful.
That word, that offensive word that Charlie hated when someone calls him such an insult. He panted with slight exhaustion but was now filled with rage and very irate. He started to gain the upper hand as he used all of his strength to push Yunan off him with a powerful thrust, sending her ten feet away and nearly fell but she kept to her feet, only slightly stumbling. Charlie raised his feet and legs up and jumped up, getting back on his feet.
"Fuck you, Yunan!" cried Charlie.
Yunan was wide eyed with shock at such an insult that she let out a gasp.
"Why you!" growled Yunan.
She charged at him and attempted to cut him up but Charlie used his sword to block every move she attempted on him which he was now showing to be faster than her moves could swing.
"How is it your much faster?" asked Yunan looking shocked.
Charlie managed to deflect one of her moves and gave her a swift punch to her face. She felt the sting of his punch and began to see Charlie give her two punches to her face, than he jumped up a bit to kick her twice, once across her shoulder and the other against her left side, she was sent across the land like a cartwheel into the air and landed on the ground with her back but she used her tail to bounce on the ground like a spring to make the impact not so rough.
"I think I felt that one in my tail." Yunan said with her breath knocked out of her a little.
"I knew you'd be fine if you landed on your ass since it's bigger than your ego." chuckled Charlie.
Yunan rolled around a bit on the ground and pushed herself up onto her feet with her tail being used like a kickstand. She looked at Charlie with an annoyed face.
"It's weird how this is turning me on. To hell with what I want you to do. I'm gonna give you something to cry about! Even if I have to spank you!" growled Yunan.
When they charged at each other, they dodged and blocked many of their moves, but there were times when Yunan landed a punch to him and Charlie landed a punch on her at times. Yunan even used her tail to whip him which one whip to his back ripped his shirt open and possibly left a cut on his back.
"Give up yet?" cried Yunan maliciously.
Charlie was starting to grow tired but he knew he had to try and keep going or he'll get killed by this psychotic newt woman.
"Mama said knock you out!" cried Charlie.
Charlie mustered up all his strength that he had and let out a mighty lion like roar. It was loud and deafening. Yunan shown visible shock and fear which she's probably never shown fear at all. His lion like roar was so loud that it could possibly be heard for miles.
Adrenaline was now pounding through Charlie's body as he charged powerfully fast at Yunan as she was now wide eyed with alarm.
"Oh shit!" said Yunan visibly alarmed.
Yunan attempted to defend herself but she could barely dodge, deflect or block any if not all Charlie's moves. He wasn't using his sword for the majority of this time as Yunan was seeing he was faster than her now. It was like Charlie possessed superhuman, enhanced abilities which made his speed look much master. Everytime Yunan was lucky to block or dodge each move, she felt like it took every ounce of her strength to dodge him.
"Where's your sass mouthing going to get you now, motherfucker!" shouted Charlie.
She attempted to use her blades from the left gauntlet but with one powerful swing of Charlie's sword, he sliced the two on her left gauntlet clean off. Than Yunan thought of a quick idea as she used her tail to wrap around Charlie's leg and pull his leg to trip him, causing him to fall backwards and land on his back with a thud as he dropped his sword.
Charlie was panting as he saw that Yunan pointing her blades from her other gauntlet. She had a prideful yet thrilled, psychotic face of excitement like she was waiting to defeat him all day, she sweated a bit while panting slightly.
"Awwww, did the wittle what's his face lose?" Yunan taunted in a baby toned voice. "I'll admit, you're pretty good. I didn't expect someone to almost be just as good as me. It's been a long time since I had a good fight, or sparring partner who could match up to me. But I'm just getting warmed up."
Charlie felt like he was done for. His sword was a few feet away, he was tired, had some open cuts that he was bleeding from, his body ached from exhaustion. He thought this was over but one idea suddenly popped into his mind. He didn't think the idea would work but if all else failed, than he was dead for sure. As he was sweating, he let out a sigh as he tried to appear as though he was weak and could barely move.
"Are you ready to give up now? Last chance." warned Yunan. "Give up now and maybe I'll show the pathetic little monkey some mercy, and possibly feed him a few bananas."
"I have one last thing to say before you take me in." said Charlie mimicking a dry and dehydrated tone.
"I'm listening." Yunan said with a smug grin.
Charlie sighed and knew what he was about to say was going to be like acid in his mouth.
"Tell me again who you are? I'm sorry but I forgot. But I kind of like those flashy poses. They make you look heroic." Charlie lied.
Yunan felt annoyed that Charlie forgotten her name or who she is in general but hearing him say he likes the poses she strikes when stating who she is seemed to make her blush while uttering a girlish giggle.
"Oh? You like my poses? This is sort of sudden but alright." Yunan said looking looking as though she was happy to have found an admirer that she likes.
She retracted the blades from her gauntlet and prepared to do her best poses as she reintroduced herself to the young human teenager.
"My name is General Yunan, scourge of the Sand Wars, defeater of Ragnar the Wretched, and-ahhhhhh!" Yunan screamed as she was cut off.
She found out that while in the middle of her monologue was when Charlie rolled over towards her and knocked her over onto the ground and Charlie quickly got up and took hold of Yunan's tail. Than with what little strength he had left, he swung her around and around really fast at a really powerful force. As he did this, Yunan felt like she might get dizzy if he kept going any longer.
"Stop spinning me around! I don't like this! I'm getting nauses!" screamed Yunan begging for him to stop.
"You lying, psychopathic, violent, mouthy, prideful, prejudice, egotistical, egomaniacal, full of yourself, fucking son of a bitch!" shouted Charlie in a fit of rage.
"Let go! I'm gonna throw up!" cried Yunan desperately.
"Gladly, hope you can fly!" cried Charlie.
Charlie swung her once more and let go of her tail. Yunan was wide eyed as she screamed loudly till she hit the ground hard, rolling around till she stopped, just barely avoiding a hit to one of the big stone walls from the ruins. Charlie saw she was unconscious.
He panted and that's when he let out a powerfully loud lion like roar that sounded like he was roaring loud enough for anyone to hear for miles. After he stopped roaring. He walked over to grab hold of his sword and it's sheath, he placed the sword back inside the sheath and he walked over to Yunan who wasn't moving. He was angry at her to the point that he felt like giving her a finishing blow but something stopped him.
There, he saw Yunan wasn't completely unconscious but just dizzy, tired and looking like she was finished. Too exhausted to move. He was thinking of the time he killed the maned-komodo and the scorpileo. Even though he didn't tell Anne, Sprig, Polly, Hop Pop, or even Marcy how he killed those two beasts. Still, he knew killing those beasts was a last resort, a very last resort. But killing a person, despite how irate he was with Yunan, his heart felt like it wasn't right, even if she did him wrong. He knew the only thing he could do.
He tied the sword of his to his waist again, and bent down to grab hold of Yunan by her feet, dragging her inside the the stoned room of the ruins and propped her up to make it look like she was laying on her back against the wall. He pulled out a golden apple and what looked like a thirteen inched high and four inched wide all around it of bottled water. He placed the apple inside a small bag and tied it closed. Than he placed the bottle of water and the bag with the apple in it in her lap. Than Charlie walked away from her.
"Call it a draw." said Charlie softly.
Charlie took off by a run as he was making his way back to Anne and the Plantars. But as he ran his way to them, he knew that the battle he had with Yunan left him feeling sorrow as he not only hated her but he also didn't want to kill her. He had no idea why he didn't kill her but it probably was because he couldn't bring himself to do it, no matter how enraged he was. He shed a tear as he knew that what happened left him both angry and in emotional pain.
"Charlie!" came a voice.
He heard the voice was nearby and it sounded like Hop Pop.
"Charlie!" came another voice.
This time, it sounded like Anne. He knew they were looking for him and he ran towards the source of where their voices carried.
"Over here!" cried Charlie.
Charlie took one turn and saw them from a distance as he ran towards them. He called for them and they turned to see him running towards them. He ran to embrace Anne as tears leaked out of his eyes. They hugged him, relieved he was alright and in one piece.
"Charlie, what happened?" asked Hop Pop.
After they released their arms. They saw Charlie wasn't looking well. They saw he was bleeding from his mouth a little, bleeding from his left shoulder and from his back, his shirt was torn from his left shoulder and back, he had bits of dirt on him and possibly more.
"Charlie, what happened?" asked Anne looking alarmed.
"We have to go, now." Charlie advised.
Anne stopped him and she was in mother bear mode now. Charlie knew she wanted to know what happened to him.
"Some crazy bitch fooled me into following her, saying she was needing help finding a place. But lured me into a trap." Charlie told her.
"And she's the one who beat you up?" asked Anne looking shocked.
Charlie nodded and told them everything but tried to make sure that he didn't get so graphic with the details when he told them that Yunan threatened him with false charges, threatened to tell his girl friend Anne he was cheating on her with this lady when Charlie wasn't, that she tried to kill him, and attempted to have her way with him. He even told them the offensive, hurtful things she called him or referred to him as, he told them how she lured him into a trap and how he managed to knock her out. He told them she claimed she was with Newtopian military but told them she lied to him, he told them how Yunan treated him so horribly with her ruthless brutality and everything else.
They were all wide eyed with horror and dread. They knew it wasn't easy for him to tell them this but knowing what happened to him was what terrified them the most.
"Oh my god." said Anne shocked.
"Oh my frog." said the Plantars in horror.
"Is she, you know?" asked Polly afraid of ask.
"She's not dead. Just knocked the fuck out. Don't tell me not to use those words right now. I'm tired, achy all over, beaten up, bruised, battered, these wounds sting like hell, and we need to get the fuck out of here now because I'm sure she was probably following us and we need to make sure she loses our trail but the only way to do that is if we go right now and hall ass." said Charlie showing he was serious.
"Alright, but we got to treat your wounds when we get back." Anne advised.
Without another word, they all took off towards the caravan and once they made it there. The kids got inside the caravan and Hop Pop got Bessie to go forwards. While inside the caravan, Anne and Sprig tended to Charlie's wounds as they tended to his cut on his shoulder, his back, the bleeding from his mouth immediately stopped but they also tended to some red marks and bruises. Charlie felt some remorse about how he acted when he reunited with them.
"Guys, I'm sorry I worried you all. And I'm sorry for the language back there. What that psychotic woman did to hurt me left me feeling like a traumatized soldier who was the soul survivor of a massacre." Charlie apologized.
"You got nothing to apologize for. This wasn't your fault. But we appreciate apology, even though this wasn't your fault." said Sprig.
"Charlie, this crazy woman. She didn't try to, you down, touch you there or anything like that?" asked Anne hopefully.
"No, she didn't." answered Charlie blushing. "I was too busy deflecting and blocking her attacks."
They all let out a sigh of relief.
"I'm sorry to ask though. I know that's something no one wants anyone asking them when something like that almost happened." said Anne apologetically.
"It's alright, you guys were just worried if something horrible happened to me. As for that crazy lady. She's just like Fens or Bog from the toad army but only difference is she's skinnier, crazier and her ego is about the size of all Amphibia." Charlie explained.
They all looked at each other and knew that he was right. Fens, Bog, Captain Grime and the toad army were bad after what they've said and done to Charlie but Yunan sounded like she was worse.
"Charlie, you know that if anything is bothering you, we're here for you so you can talk to us about anything. Even if it's something you feel is embarrassing or awkward. We won't judge and we'll support you no matter what." said Anne kindly.
"That we are." said Sprig and Polly in unison.
"Thanks guys. That's good to know, ouch, that stings a little." said Charlie with a gasp.
"Sorry." said Anne.
After they got done tending to Charlie's wounds. Anne helped him lay down so he could rest. As they got a far enough distance to lose Yunan. Back at the ruins siite, Yunan woke up and her vision cleared up.
"Damn it. I feel like I've been hit and run over by a few snails doing one hundred miles per hour." groaned Yunan.
When she was awake, she looked down and saw the bottle of water and the bag left behind for her. She wondered what was in the bag so she picked it up, unlaced the ties and when she opened it, she saw three bananas, three red apples and one golden apple. She was almost shocked when she saw the golden apple. She reached inside the bag to grab the golden apple and looekd at it.
"A golden, all miracle healing apple?" said a surprised Yunan.
She looked around and saw she was alone. As her body ached all over and she felt some stinging pain, she didn't know if anything was broken or wounded but she took a large bite out of the golden apple as she made sure she devoured the entire thing. Once she swallowed it all down was when her body was tingling all over and felt like she was weightless, she felt no pain and no sensations and her body glowed a gold light for a few minutes and eventually, the gold light disappeared and her entire body felt better inside and outside. She looked at herself, than the at the bag of food and the bottle of water left behind for her and looked up. She was now feeling confused.
"Did he leave me the food and water and that golden apple to heal me?" said Yunan confused.
Yunan didn't know why Charlie left this behind for her. Even after how she lured him into a trap, how she treated him and how brutal she was to him. He left her some water, food, and a golden apple to heal her of any wounds, injuries or illnesses that were brought on by their battle together or from anything else. She was left wondering if Charlie was her friend or foe. What Charlie didn't know was that Yunan told him the truth about her name and who she is. He just automatically believed she was just another crazy woman who he believed was a liar.
