Losing a child can take a mother to the very edge. Luckily for Carol, Daryl Dixon is right there to help her fight her way back. Nothing is ever straightforward now that the dead walk the earth, so how will they cope when those they'd thought lost forever, suddenly return?

AU. This is my take on Carol. She never had Sophia & hasn't met the group yet. As the outbreak happens, Carol decides that facing the ZA alone is better than facing it with Ed. This story will eventually be Caryl. Rated M for graphic domestic and zombie violence, language, and future sex stuff.

This is a SHORT Caryl Story. The story picks up at the end of Season 5 directly after Rick shoots Pete and is what 'could have' happened following that incident. It should be only three chapters long and all should be up within a week. It is basically my fun 'brain break' from editing my novel. This is rated M for GRAPHIC sexual content in chapters 2 and 3. Daryl Dixon found Montana by chance. He ran from home because he couldn't live there any longer. Not with his ol' man, and not with his brother. He was just looking for a fresh start in a place called nowhere, where nobody knew him. He didn't expect to find much. Just a quiet life, a job, and maybe some peace - for once. What he never expected was to find her. AU, no walkers.

S4 AU. Carol was everything to him and then she was lost. When Daryl finally finds her again, everything has changed except his feelings for her. Can he help her remember the goodness inside of her the way she once did for him? Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery using gold to mend the seams. Takes place after Episode 4.8 "Too Far Gone" Caryl fic. * A bolt of recognition hit her and she choked back his name before it came to her lips, not daring to make a sound. He'd found her. He'd been looking for her and he'd found her … here. "Be careful what you wish for…" she thought as moved into action. She needed to reach him before they noticed.

Daryl finds himself being pursued in the woods outside the prison. Only this time, maybe getting caught isn't such a bad thing.

The whipping rain outside had nothing on the storm that festered within him at her touch.
