In genetics, a Chimera is an organism comprising of two distinctly different cell lines. It was a concept adopted from the mythological greek of the Chimera, a monstrous fire breathing creature that was made up of three animals: A lion, a snake and a goat.

This creature was also the sibling of Cerberus, the three headed hellhound who guarded the gate to the Underworld.

As there are two writers to this story, the name felt appropriate.
