I wasn't sure how long I was out for. "Where am I?" I thought. "You are in the subconscious, but your body is the arms of Kohakunushi Nigihayami. I am your spirit dragon." A voice said. "I'll be here if you ever need help. I came to welcome you, But I also wish to warn you. People will still be after us… We are one of the most powerful spirit out there. People will want us to claim that power. You must be careful, and put up with Kohakunushi Nigihayami's over protectiveness. It's because he loves you, and you are his mate, as his dragon is mine. I'll be here if you need help." and just like that she was gone.

I stirred, or rather tried to. "Haku?" I called, as I opened my eyes. "Hmm." He groaned, uncomfortably, beside me. "Haku, wake up…" I called, as his eyes flew open, and looked right at me. "Chihiro. My love. You're awake." He said with a smile. "How are you feeling?" He asked. "I feel weird… Like, umm I'm on fire if that makes sense?" Haku said "stay calm love… You're entering Mating season… I've been in it for a day… It'll be over soon." He promised. I pulled him into a kiss. "Please Haku… Ease the fire… Please…" I begged. "not tonight love… You need to rest…" He tried to reason. "Please…" I begged. "I want this. Tonight. Right Now. My mom knew I'd be tired… but said it's okay… Please Haku…" I couldn't believe that I sounded so needy. "Come here, then." He whispered as we spent the next few hours in utter bliss.

In the morning, I awoke to Haku's arms secured around my waist. But I was sweating… I had to get out of here… I quickly slipped out of bed, and dressed before slipping out to the outside of the house, inhaling deeply. "Hey, are you alright?" Haku said, as he came over, causing me to jump half a foot in the air, before turning to look at him. "Sorry…" He said, as his hand touched my lower back. "Are you alright?" I shook my head. "No…" We sat on the edge of their porch, our feet meeting the sea, below us. "Talk to me." Haku said. I looked to him, and said "I had the weirdest dream… But it seemed so real." Haku looked to me and said "What happened?" I took a deep breath as I laid my head on his shoulder. "I was in a room… It was bright.. But I was like dead, but I was lingering above my body… I saw you screaming, and trying to get to me, crying for me. Everyone was distraught… and someone was holding a baby…" Haku said "Shh. I'm sure nothing will hap…" "so it's true… She's back…" We jumped hearing my fathers voice. "We need to talk… The four of us." He said, as we reentered the house. "So who is she?" I asked. "She's you aunt Nure-onna… She's been after your soul for years… She want's your mothers and mine powers for herself…" My Father said. "Then we'll fight… I'll Fight… I'm not gonna let her hurt my family." Haku said "No. Your not going anywhere near her!" I looked to him. "I'm not gonna risk my family's life. It's me she's after…"

Haku growled, protectively. "No." I sighed. "Fine." We spent a couple days training, everyone stayed close. Haku and I had been in bliss almost every night. "Chihiro. You should rest…" Haku ordered the second night. We had fallen asleep. But in the middle of the night, I wrote a note, for Haku and everyone, before I slipped out. I knew they were there. "My My. You are a beauty." A women's voice said, as I exited. "I'm here. Take me. But leave my family alone." Nure-onna took me, but I felt Haku's presence. He attacked Nure-onna, who managed to tie both our hands together. I knew Haku was angry. When we arrived at where ever we were being taken they threw us in a cell. Tears flooded my eyes, I couldn't even look at Haku. "Chihiro. Look at me." Haku said as he managed out of his ropes. "Just tell me you hate me." I whispered, still refusing to look at him. He came over and knelt under my look. "I don't hate you." He said, causing me to look at him. "I love you so much. Your fight is my fight… I hate how you thought you could handle this on your own." I started to cry. "No Honey, No… No more tears." Haku whispered as he dried my tears, but they wouldn't stop coming, His arms wrapped around me, "Shh." He started to sing a song, softer, which was soothing, and calming.

"That's not gonna work you two. She's weakening. The ropes she has on her are weakening her." The guard said. Haku growled, as I felt weaker. Haku cut the rope, not even thinking. My arms broke free, and immediately secured around his neck. "Shh, Chihiro. We'll be alright." Once everyone was asleep Haku managed to get us out, he phased into a dragon, holding me on his back, as he flew right to the bath house. "Shh You're safe." He sat me on the chair, before phasing back to a human and lifting me to his arms. "Haku, I'm tired… Please…" I whispered, as he chuckled. "I know." He carried me to our room and laid me on his bed. "Sleep, now." I drifted to sleep in his arms. Fear cripples my body.

In the morning, Haku's arms secured around my body. "Are you awake Darling?" Haku asked, as he sat up, with me. "Morning…" I whispered, pulling my knees to my chest. "I'm really sorry…" I stated. Haku said "Don't be. You were trying to protect us… It'll be fine. But I am gonna have Lin take a look, Make sure nothing is amiss. I'll write to your parents, as well. No work for you for at least a week… You need time to recover." I nodded, not even wanting to argue.

"Haku! Chihiro!" Lin called. "We're in the bed room!" Haku shouted, as the door opened. "Is everything okay? You guys unexpectedly returned earlier than planned." Lin asked. "Yeah we're Okay… But Can you look at Chihiro? She got in a tight spot." Lin said "Of Course. You go do some work, at your desk." I saw Haku nod, while Lin checked me over. "ahh!" She shrieked. "What Lin? What's wrong?!" I asked, as Haku burst in. "Lin! What's wrong?!" I looked to Haku, who came over, stroking my hair. "She's pregnant!" I looked at Haku, who just stared at the wall. Lin said "Well everything is just fine… I'll leave you two alone…" She left, as I reached and touched Haku's hand. "Don't!" He said Icily. "Didn't you think?! Mating season is designed to produce children!" Haku shouted, moving away from me. "Haku! Please!" I begged. "I'm gonna go to the office… You just rest." He said leaving the room.

I felt guilty on so many levels, now this made it worse. I got out of bed and walked to the office. "Haku, I'm sorry! I was stupid… Please… Our baby is alive though, and so am I, Because you were there for us. You got us out before any major harm could come to us." Haku looked up to me, tears flowing in his eyes. "And what if I hadn't come out when I did?! What If I didn't get to you in time?! You could've died along with our Child!" He said standing up, coming over to me. "Chihiro…" He whispered, as I said "Haku, please…" He took a deep breath, as he said "I'm sorry…I know it's not your fault… It'll be alright. I promise… Just for now, Don't leave the bathhouse, unless I'm with you or Lin, or your parents." I sniffled, as my arms slid around his neck. "Okay… I promise…" I answered, as his arms slid around my waist, His face nuzzled against my hair. "We'll be alright, love. We'll be alright."

Just then we felt a presence of a person. "Thank god!" I recognized my mother's and Father's voices. "CHIHIRO! HOW…" Haku said "I don't think it's wise to yell at her currently." I felt him look to me, before saying "I've done it enough, for all three…" I pulled away from Haku, just to turn around, keeping his arms around me. "CHIHIRO! HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO US!?" My Mother shouted. "IF YOU WOULD HAVE WAITED I WOULD HAVE TOLD…" "Kiyohime! That is enough!" Haku snapped. "SHE IS MY DAUGHTE…" My mother started, only for Haku to push me gently behind him. "And she's my Mate!" Haku said.

My Father said "Okay! Both of you stand down! We all are angry and Hurt about how Chihiro handled the situation… But Yelling at each other ESPECIALLY in front of her, Won't do anybody any good!" I pulled away from Haku, tears threatening to fall, as I darted into the bedroom, and into the Bathroom. "Great… Now I've got an upset mate…" I could hear Haku say. "Now I've got to go calm her," I don't even know how long it was but I had gotten in the bath letting the warm water relax my body. "Chihiro? Are you alright?" I heard Haku call. "Just fine…" I called. I knew he'd tell I'm still fighting the tears. "I'm coming in!" He said as he opened the door, and came over to me. "Hey, Are you Okay? Really?" I shook my head and said "No…" Haku rubbed my shoulders. "Why don't you climb in with me?" He said "I would love too, but unfortunately I have to get back to work… I sent your parents downstairs for a bath… So you can relax…"

I said "Oh… Okay…" He nuzzled my hair. "Okay Okay… What's a few minutes." He said as he stripped out of his clothes, before climbing into the tub, and scooting over to my side wrapping his arm around my shoulders, causing me to snuggle into him. "Haku, I hope the baby will be Okay." I confessed. Haku kissed my head, and said "I'm confident the baby will be just fine. I also had Lin send a letter out to a Dr. Inari, to come check on you and the baby, and I will talk to Her about getting monthly appointments for you." I smiled and said "Thank you, Haku. Really. I really do appreciate it… But would we be able to afford to pay monthly doctor bills? I mean…" Haku, chuckled and said "Yes we will be able to pay monthly doctor bills. I've saved plenty of money." I bit my lip, still relatively unsure on how to feel. "How much do you have saved?" I asked. "About $3500. I have splurged a little. I had more, but I bought Yubba out and I spent some to purchase that island. I was gonna build a little house just in case either of us needed a break, Or just you know wanted a little vacation, just for the two of us." I smiled wide and said "That actually sounds really amazing. Thanks Haku."

He smiled wide, and said "Anything for you my queen." After a few moments, we exited the tub and got dressed. "I'm gonna go to the library, if that's alright…" Haku smiled and said "Of course, Go on love." I walked to the library Haku had set up in the bathhouse. While I looked at the various titles, I absentmindedly put a hand to my stomach, thinking about the child growing there. "I love you, my little baby." I whispered as I gently, as I looked at one of the books. "Hey, everything Okay?" I heard a males voice. I didn't have to turn to know who it was. "Haku. Done with work already?" I said as I turned. He wrapped his arms around my waist, his hands rested upon my belly. "Hey, come on back to the office, I have something special, for you to see." I blushed and followed him towards the office. "Close your eyes." Haku started.

I closed my eyes, and let him lead me into the room. "Can I open them?" I asked. "Yes." Haku's voice said, as I opened my eyes, seeing the office had been decorated in a romantic style. "Haku? What's all thi…" I said turning to see him down on one knee. "Haku!" I gasped, causing him to chuckle. "Now that your rendered speechless, I have to ask you something… Chihiro, Ever sense we met, when you were young, and lost your shoe in my river, I've been trying to protect you. Even when You stumbled upon our world 6 years ago, I continued to protect you. I feel horrible you were so harshly treated in the human world, and feel like I have failed you. I promise, that I will Make the rest of our eternal lives, as wonderful as I can. Will you do the extraordinary honor of becoming my wife?"
