When the team met up at Rand's House and after catching up with Matayoshi, Fei, Date, and Nema they decided to start their investigation with the Legendary Birds who have gone wild. Not knowing where to find them they decide to seek out Supurna, who knows the most about Oblivia's skies. Now aware that the birds circle the silands they came from, the team heads for the skies, hoping to get to the bottom of this mystery.
Back in the sky Ben and Keith rode Latios. Yu and Ryuji were on Latias, Summer was on her Partner Staraptor with Kate on a wild one she caught. Keisuke and Chitose rode on Kabuterimon again, and Nokia was carried by MetalGarurumon with Kellyn on the back of WarGreymon flying near her.
"Don't you think it's a little strange?" Summer asked. All eyes were on her as soon as the silence was broken.
"What is?" Nokia asked.
"The Golden Armor shouldn't be influencing them anymore, but those three have still lost control of themselves…"
"Huh. Good point."
Ryuji's head lifted a bit. "Hmm?"
"What is it?" WarGreymon asked.
"Something's coming from behind us."
"Better not be those birds trying to ram us again!" Keisuke gulped.
"Hey, it's been a while!" a red Z.Z. Flyer flew past the gang. The pilot turned around in front of them.
Ben's eyes widened. "Red Eyes!"
"Red Eyes? One of the former leaders of the Pokemon Pinchers?" Kellyn asked. "That Red Eyes?"
"Be carful with this jerk." Nokia scowled. "Who knows what's going on in his head."
"It has been a while, but you aren't up to anything bad anymore, right?!" Summer glared.
Red Eyes grinned. "Ah, ha, ha, ha. I'll leave that up to your imagination."
"Better not be thinking of shooting poor Ben out of the sky and kidnapping sweet, little Summer again you jerk." Kate glared. "That's a good way to end up being Starly food!" Her partner Pokemon squawked at the man in front of them.
Red Eyes looked around. "What's going on up here, anyway? Even when I go on a stroll through the sky, I almost never see any other Pokemon other than Moltres, Articuno, and Zapdos. It's rather lonely."
"Those three are freaking out all the other Pokemon." Yu said. "They're probably hiding from them."
"I see…So that's the reason…Thanks for the info!" Red Eyes waved before taking off.
"Hey, wait!" Ben called. But it was too late.
"At least tell us where they are, you creep!" Nokia yelled.
"Man, he's a real piece of work." Chitose sighed.
"What else would you expect from a former leader of a criminal outfit?" Kellyn scoffed.
"He's showing off like he always does…" Summer groaned.
"Forget about him." Keith rolled his eyes. "We have things to do, and he'd probably be as much help an attempt to rub Tamato berries on an angry Walrein to put it to sleep."
Kellyn gave his friend and rival a weird look. "That's…oddly specific."
"Anyway, all we can do is fly around and look for them." Ben said. "But we do have a clue. The mountains they came from. Let's see…Zapdos might be loitering around Mt. Lyudda, and the thunderclouds there make it dangerous to approach…"
"Then we should save that for later." Ryuji said. "What about the other two?"
"Articuno should be close to this island. Around Mt. Sorbet." Summer said. "And Moltres will be around Faldera Volcano."
"Okay, let's split up." Ben said. "I'll take Keith, Kate, Ryuji and Yu and go after Moltres. The rest of you go after Articuno."
"Okay." Summer nodded. "Be carful."
They flew off into two groups. Summer's turned around and floated just above the island. "MetalGarurumon, where did you see Articuno?" Summer asked.
"Right around here." He gazed ahead. "Hmmm? I'm picking something up!"
"Lead the way."
He flew ahead and the others followed. Soon a glistening trail of snow and ice was detected. And just up ahead was a blue bird. "There it is!" Nokia said.
Summer kept her eyes on it. "Let's go!" Staraptor flew ahead with great speed.
Nokia watched them dart ahead. "MetalGarurumon!"
"Right!"
"Let me know if you're about to fall off, Kellyn." WarGreymon said.
"Don't worry about me! Just punch it!"
Keisuke watched Nokia and her Digimon speed up. "Man, they're fast."
Kabuterimon nodded. "I don't think I can keep up."
"Do what you can."
"We finally caught up!" Summer said as her Staraptor closed in on the bird. "Articuno?! What happened to your usual grace?"
Articuno then dove into the clouds. "Where's it going?" Kellyn asked as WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon caught up.
Summer's Styler started beeping. "Articuno in heading this way."
"Screeeee!" The bird Pokmeon shot out of the clouds and zigzagged towards Staraptor, WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon, flying in between them as it passed by.
"Eek!" Summer yelped and she maneuvered Staraptor away.
"Yikes!" Nokia had to grip onto MealGarurumon tightly as he moved aside. Kellyn clutched onto the Brave Shield on WarGreymon's back as he dodged.
Kabuterimon barely avoided getting rammed before catching up. "Is everyone alright?" Chitose asked.
"Yeah. But we let Articuno get away…" Kellyn glumly replied.
Summer's Styler spoke again. "Articuno is heading in the direction of Mt. Sorbet."
"It's definitely strange that it was that upset." Summer said.
Elsewhere in the sky Latios and Latias and Kate's Staraptor started closing in on Moltres. "Okay! We caught up!" Ben said. "Moltres!"
"Still, the way it's flying is really weird…" Keith said.
Moltress dove into the clouds. "Huh? Where'd it go?" Kate asked.
Ben's Styler beeped. "Moltres is heading this way."
"Skreeeee!"
Ryuji spotted the bird ahead, zigzagging towards them. "Incoming!"
"Whoa!" Ben maneuvered Latios to the side as Moltres blew past them. "Where's it heading?!"
"Moltres is heading in the direction of Faldera Valcano." Ben's Styler replied. Just then it made a different noise. "This is Summer! Articuno is heading for Mt. Sorbet!"
"It was definitely acting weird." Kellyn added.
"Moltres is heading for Faldera Valcano." Kate said.
"It also looked a little strange, didn't it?" Ben asked.
"I wonder if the last one is the same way…" Yu pondered.
"Well, we can deal with it after we catch Articuno and Moltres." Ryuji replied. "We can't risk them getting away."
"Agreed." Keith nodded. "Better to catch two rather then one."
"Okay, we're heading for Faldera volcano!" Ben said.
Latios, Latias and the wild Staraptor let their passengers off before flying away. "Thank you!" Kate waved.
Monodramon and Otamamon popped out of Ryuji and Yu's Digiviced, startling the group. "Wow! Don't just pop up like that!" Yu said.
"Sorry, but it was really cramped in there!" his Digimon replied.
"We need to be on guard." Monodramon said. "Who knows what lies ahead."
"Couldn't we have landed closer to the top of the mountain?" Yu asked. "Why are we at the bottom?"
"It's a volcano Yu, who knows when it might erupt?" Ryuji asked. "Monodramon's right. Let's remain cautious."
As soon as they started heading up, they noticed something. "Yow, it's hot up here!" Kate said, fanning herself.
"Yeah. But even more so than usual." Ben replied.
"Pichu!" Ben's partner groaned.
"Can't stand the heat?" A voice asked, getting everyone's attention. A man with a black cape and hood approached. He had a short-sleeved shirt and black pants and a purple visor over his eyes. "I suggest you get out of the kitchen."
"Who are you?" Monodramon asked.
"He looks just like the image we saw at the Union…" Ryuji said.
"So, you must be from Team One World." Ben glared.
"That's right."
"Are you the ones brining Pokemon from outside the region?" Kate asked. "Just what do you plan to do?!"
"To unite all."
"Unite?" Keith asked. "What are you talking about?"
The man grinned. "Ha, ha, ha…You don't need to worry about that. Your journey ends here." Two more men appeared from behind him.
"We figured the Ranger Union would call for reinforcements."
"But we didn't expect Ben Natsuya, one of the Cyber Rangers of Oblivia to show himself. Nice to know the Rangers are taking us seriously."
The three of them held up handheld gadgets. "Here they come!" Ben said. One of the One World members sent out a Pignite and a Monocromon. One brought out a Kokatorimon and a Grimer, and the last one brought in a Flarerizamon and a Vigoroth.
Ryuji looked at them. "Those gadgets…"
"More Pokemon that don't belong here." Kate said, looking at her Styler. "Pignite. Fire/Fighting type whose movements grow sharper and faster when it's eternal fire flares up. Vigoroth, Normal type that gets stressed out if it stops moving. Grimer, Poison type that was born in sludge and preferers filthy places."
Ryuji performed a scan with his Digivice. "Monocromon. Champion Data Digimon. It is said there is nothing it's horn cannot penetrate. Kokatorimon. Champion Vaccine. It cannot fly and its legs evolved to be better suited for land. Flarerizamon. Champion level Data. It has a fiery body, a heart of flame and a dragon's power."
"We don't need the likes of you around here." The Team One World member said. "Leave this place or disappear completely."
Ryuji and Yu looked at each other and nodded.
DIGIVOLUTION
"Monodramon Digivolve to…Strikedramon!"
"Otamamon Digivolve to…Gekomon!"
The Team Order Members looked at the Digimon in shock. "No way! More Digimon users?!"
One of them ran through pictures in his visor. "But those two aren't among the Cyber Rangers! They must be some brats who made friends with Digimon and are trying to replicate them! We'll show them how it's done!"
Ben then leapt up into the air. "Go, Guardian Sign! Graveler, come forth!" He drew a figure on the floor and two Graveler appeared. Ben landed behind them. "Alright, let's rock!"
The Graveler threw rocks at Pignite and Vigoroth making them back up. "Feather Sword!" Kokatorimon charged at Gekomon with its wings held up.
"Symphony Crusher!" Gekomon's instrument made a loud noise that made the bird screech and back away. "Hydro Water!" The instrument then shot a blast of water that destroyed it. The pieces went to Yu's Digivice.
"Fire Breath!" Flarerizamon shot a fire ball at Strikedramon, who jumped back. When it hit the ground, it formed a pillar of flame.
"Guard Break!" Strikedramon pointed at the Flarerizamon and it glowed blue. "Strike Fang!" He then charged at it, cloaked in red and smashed it to pieces that were absorbed into Ryuji's Digivice.
"Two down!" Keith said. "Buizel, Aqua Jet!" His partner cloaked himself in clear water and rammed into Pignite with great speed and force. As it fell over Kate's Starly flew overhead and slammed her beak into it, knocking the Pokemon down long enough for Ben to Capture it.
"How are they this strong?!" One of the One World members asked.
"It's not over yet! Grimer, Sludge!" the Poison Pokemon spat a purple blob at them.
"Buizel! Hydro Pump!" On Keith's orders, Buizel shot a furious stream of water that pushed the attack away and knocked it on top of Vigoroth. It collapsed, wheezing and while it was distracted, Pichu charged into it, knocking it down, before a Graveler landed on it. While it was weakened, Keith shot his Styler and looped around it repeatedly until it claimed down. The other Graveler rolled into a ball and rammed the Grimer. Kate then captured it with her Styler.
"Volcanic Strike!" Monocromon shot a red sphere from his mouth. The allied Digimon and Pokemon dodged before charging towards it.
"WolkenaPalm!" Strikedramon rammed his hand into it. Pichu played music as Buizel whipped it with Aqua Tail. It turned into shards and Ryuji's Digivice absorbed it.
"Wh-what are these guys?!" One of the One World members shuddered.
"The Cyber Rangers aren't the only ones you jerks need to worry about now!" Keith grinned. "We're also Rangers!"
"And we're Huide!" Yu added. "Better remember that because we're the best at what we do where we're from!"
Ryuji slightly smirked. "Hmph. Not that you're wrong Yu, but…no need to show off."
"We're outmatched…Let's retreat!" One of the shady members said. They hurried up the mountain.
"So, Team One World is responsible for the Pokemon that shouldn't be here appearing." Ben said. "And they have new Digimon to add to the issue."
"There could be more of them up ahead." Kate said. "Let's be carful as we proceed."
Keith nodded before spotting a Donphan ahead of them. "Sounds like we could use more help!" He fired his Styler and spun it around the Pokemon a few times, capturing it. Kate saw a Magmotar up a cliff and sent her Stary to distract it long enough to perform a Capture on it.
Elsewhere, two black-haired individuals sat on a rock with blue screens in front of them. "I found Ben's Styler." The boy said. "He's a Faldera Island."
"What's he doing there? I though the legendary birds were roaming the sky." The girl said.
"Maybe he thought he might find some sort of clue there? Or maybe Moltres returned…Either way, we better get going."
"Right."
Halfway up the mountain, Ben looked around as he walked. "This place…this is where we fought Arcadiamon the first time…"
He looked up when he saw two new members of Team One World strut from behind a rock in front of their path. One was a man in the usual uniform, the other was a woman who had a short black skirt and sleeveless top instead of a short-sleeved shirt and pants. Her gloves weren't fingerless and went up to her elbows. "Hold it right there ya brats!" The woman said.
"More of these clowns?" Strikedramon asked. "How annoying. Do you really think you two can win if three did not?"
"Even if we can't win, we just need to stall you until our commander gets here!" the man replied.
"Commander?" Ryuji asked.
"Attack!" They sent out a Lycanroc, an Excadrill, a Golemon, and a Stegomon.
Ben did a quick scan. "Lycanoroc Midnight Form. Rock Type. Uses quick moves to confuse enemies. Excadrill, Steel/Ground Type. It can bore through a steel plate."
Kate scanned the Digimon. "Golemon, Champion level Virus. 90% of its body is data rock organic limbs attached to its body. Stegomon, Champion Free Type. The countless blades on its back perform counterattacks while defending it from enemy attacks at the same time."
"Here comes trouble!" Keith said. "Donphan, Magnitude!" His friend Pokemon slammed its foot into the ground so hard the surface around them shook, making the Pokemon and Digimon in front of them stumble.
"Shell Needle Rain!" Stegomon shot the needles on its back at the team.
"Get down!" Keith tackled Kate to the ground as Ryuji, Yu, and Ben also dove for cover.
"Strike Fang!" Strikedramon charged towards the Golemon.
"Excadrill! Drill Run!" One of the New World members sent Excadrill charging, spinning at high speed, ramming into Strikedramon as it attacked. It pushed through, knocking the Digimon into the air, but Excadrill stopped moving right in front of Magmotar.
"Flamethrower!" Kate gave her order and her Pokemon blasted it with fire. While it staggered in pain, Kate captured it with her Styler.
"Hydro Pump!"
"Hydro Water!" Lycanroc, was knocked out by a blast of water from Keith Buizel and Yu's Gekomon.
Golemon spewed mysterious gas from its body. "Crimson Curse!"
"Starly! Whirlwind!" Kate's Partner Pokemon flapped her wings so hard it blew the strange gas away and into Stagomon. The Digimon hacked in pain.
"Strike Fang!" Strikedramon charged into Golemon so hard it flew into Stegomon and was destroyed upon landing on it's spikey back. The shards went to Ryuji's Digivice.
"With all those spikes, close combat is a bad idea." Keith said.
"Then how about this?! Gekomon!" Yu ordered.
"Symphony Crusher!" Gekomon's instrument played the largest sound yet right at the last Digimon. It roared in pain before shattering and being sent to Yu's Digivice.
"I didn't think they'd be this strong…" The woman gulped.
"Now start talking!" Keith said. "Why are you here, and who is this commander, you're waiting for?"
"You can't make us tell you!" The male member scowled.
"Maybe we can't." Ryuji admitted. Then their allied Pokemon and Digimon slowly approached. "But maybe they can."
The man smirked as the Pokemon and Digimon approached them. As a result, they got further away from their tamers and Rangers. "NOW!"
Two more Golemon jumped out from behind Ben and his friends. Two Liepard also charged at them.
Ryuji turned around. "They had more?!"
"Look out!" Keith yelled.
"Ryuji!" Strikedramon turned around and ran towards them. But he was too far away.
"Infinity Cannon." Two golden beams blasted the Golemon, instantly destroying them. The Liepard stopped in their tracks. A familiar, silver-haired Digimon in samurai armor leapt over to them and bashed them aside with the side of one of his massive swords. It then leapt backwards where a massive machine Digimon stood.
"They got backup!" the female One World member shuddered.
"What are those?" Kate asked.
Ben looked at the Digimon in surprise. "Machinedramon and Gaiomon…that means…!"
"Pichu!" Ben's Pokmeon jumped up and down happily as familiar teens approached up the hill towards them.
"That was a close shave." The young man smiled as his Digivice collected the remains of the Golemon. "Is anyone hurt?"
"You haven't changed a bit, Ben." The young girl said.
"Yuugo! Yuuko!" Ben smiled at them.
"Yuugo and Yuuko…!" the One World man shuddered. "Of the Cyber Rangers?!"
Gaiomon pointed his sword at them. "Leave this place. Now."
The two enemies trembled before running back to the rock they were hiding behind. Then they left on two Z.Z. Flyers. "Well, they're gone." Keith said.
"Thanks for the save you two." Ben smiled. "But what brings you all the way out here?"
"Fei called me and told us you arrived to Oblivia." Yuuko replied. "She also told us you were searching for Zapdos, Moltres and Articuno. We tracked down your Styler and hurried here."
Yuugo looked at Ryuji. "She also told us about you and your team. Father sent you to this world, yes?"
"That's right." Ryuji nodded. "Sorry, but it'll be a while before we can get home. The program won't activate for about a month."
"That's fine. I'm in no hurry." He then glanced at Ben. "Words can't express how glad I am to see you again. And you as well Pichu."
"Pi!" Ben's Pokemon smiled, prompting a laugh from Yuugo and Yuuko.
"With Takumi, Ami and Kyoko missing we were stuck trying to figure out what to do. Having you back should really turn this situation around."
"We heard Summer arrived to Oblivia as well." Yuuko said.
Ben nodded. "She went after Articuno with Nokia and the rest of our crew."
"I see. I look forward to seeing her again. But in the meantime, I'm guessing Moltres returned to this volcano?"
"That's right." Ben nodded. "And by the way this is Ryuji, Yu, Keith, and Kate."
"Nice to meet you." Kate smiled. "Ben and Summer gave us all the details."
"Nice to meet you too." Yuugo nodded.
"Hate to cut the pleasantries short, but we'd better move." Ryuji said. "Sounds like Team One World is expecting someone important here. I imagine it'll be easier to deal with Moltres before they show up."
"Agreed." Yuuko replied. "Moltres might be their target."
"Ben, you can count on us for aid." Gaiomon said.
"Affirmative." Machinedramon replied. "Current objective: Tame the legendary Pokemon Moltres."
Ben smiled and nodded. "I can always count on you guys. Let's go!"
