Ben, Kate, Keith, Ryuji, and Yu make their may up Flandera Volcano in pursuit of Moltres. On the way there they were confronted by members of Team One World. With the assistance of Yuuko and Yuugo they defeated the enemy and continued. Meanwhile back at Sohphia Island...

Back in the Aqua Resort Summer, Kellyn, Keisuke and Chitose waited for Nokia to return. "Is this really necessary? We have hoodies on." Chitose said.

"Trust me, that's not going to be enough." Summer replied.

"Said the girl in a sleeveless top and shorts."

"Our Ranger Uniforms are designed to change temperature in cold areas." Kellyn replied. He then heard a sound above him and saw Nokia above them on MetalGarurumon and WarGreymon next to them. "There they are."

Nokia jumped down, wearing a pink heavy coat and holding two more white ones. "We're back!" she then held the extra coats to Keisuke and Chitose. "Here ya go! These are the ones Yuuko and Yuugo wore the first time we climbed Mt. Sorbet together. I doubt they'd mind if you borrowed them."

"Thanks." Keisuke replied as he and Chitose bundled up. While they were doing so, Kellyn spotted a nearby stand.

Summer noticed his fixed gaze. "Is something wrong?"

"The masks at that stand…"

Nokia looked at the shop in question. There were rows of masks shaped like Latios and Latias. "Oh, those? Ever since the battle for Oblivia, stuff like that has been selling like hot cakes! I'm kinda thinking about buying one myself! Heh, heh!"

Keisuke then remembered. "Those blue ones…Didn't X wear a mask just like that?"

"You're right." Kellyn replied.

"X?" Summer asked. "That Digimon tamer you met earlier?"

"And those red ones…" Chitose said. "They look just like the one Zero had!"

"Stop! Stop!" Nokia yelled. "You people are losing me here! Who the heck are X and Zero?!"

"Oh, sorry Nokia. Didn't mean to exclude you." Summer replied. "See, the legendary birds knocked Keisuke and his friends out of the sky when we came to Oblivia. Before Ben and I found them they were attacked by Pokemon and Digimon but some masked Digimon users calling themselves X and Zero saved them. Any idea who they might be?"

"Not a clue. I had no idea there were other Digimon Tamers besides us…"

"Hmmm…" Kellyn walked over to the stand. "Excuse me sir."

"Greetings!" The merchant smiled. "Can I interest you in something?"

"I need to ask, have you had any…peculiar costumers?"

"Um…I've been making plenty of sales. I don't know what you mean by that."

"Have you sold those masks to anyone suspicious?" Summer asked as she approached.

"Um…Oh, wait. There were those weird people with the blue and red cloaks."

"X also wore a blue cloak." Kellyn whispered to Summer before speaking to the salesman again. "Who were they?"

"I'm not sure. They had hoods pulled over their heads and they spoke with raspy voices."

Summer sighed. "X and Zero sure are cautious about their identities."

"Do you remember when this was?" Kellyn asked.

The shop owner thought for a moment. "Umm…A few days ago I think."

"I see. Well thanks."

The man then looked at Summer. "Say…I thought you looked familiar. You're one of the Cyber Rangers, aren't you?"

"Me?" Summer stuttered a bit. "Well, I…"

Kellyn smirked. "She is, but she and Ben are humble about it."

"Kellyn!"

"What an honor to met you! Come by sometime when you have a moment to spare! I'll be sure to make you a special deal."

"Th-thanks." Summer replied nervously before she and Kellyn returned to the others.

"So? What did he say?" Keisuke asked.

"Sounds like X and Zero were here, but he couldn't make out their faces or voices." Kellyn replied.

"I wonder what they're up to." Kabuterimon said.

"So do I." WarGreymon replied. "But we shouldn't waste anymore time on this."

"He's right." MetalGarurumon nodded. "We have something else that needs to be taken care of. We can investigate X and Zero another time."

"Okay, let's go find Articuno!" Nokia cheered.

"Follow me." Summer said as she led the group north towards Sophian Road. They entered the cave that lead to the foot of the snowy mountain. While in that cave, Kellyn spotted a Prinplup and a Bagon that he swiftly captured.

"Wow, it's starting to get cold." Keisuke said.

Summer looked ahead to the other end of the tunnel. "Wait till you see the mountain." They exited the tunnel and stepped into the white snow.

"Yikes, you weren't kidding!"

Summer shivered. "Isn't it colder than usual?"

"Y-yeah, I noticed." Nokia replied with chattering teeth.

"Aww. Are the little kids cold?" They directed themselves to a voice as a man in black with a hood and a purple visor approached.

"Who's that?" Kabuterimon asked.

"That uniform…" Kellyn glared. "Is he from Team One World?"

"Heard of us, have you?" The man chuckled. "Thought we were being carful. No matter. We don't need to be stealthy anymore."

"Are you the ones bringing Pokemon outside their natural habitats?" Summer asked.

"Pokemon outside of their habitats? Whatever could you be talking about? Oh, wait, I know…" He held up a handheld device. A penguin with a giant ice cube for a head appeared in front of him.

Keisuke scanned it with his Digivice. "A Pokemon. Eiscue. Ice Type. heat is heat sensitive, so it keeps it cool with ice."

"And that's not all." The One World member sent out a big white squid creature.

Chitose scanned it. "A Digimon. Gesomon, Champion level Virus type. It inhabits the deaths of the ocean and specializes in "Hit and Away" where it attacks and withdraws."

A female member of Team One World showed up with another Digimon and Pokemon. "I was wondering what all the ruckus was." She glanced at the group. "Nokia and Summer. Two of the so called "Cyber Rangers". So, you finally tracked us down."

Summer scanned the Digimon with a turtle shell, a duck bill and a cd in its hair. "Gwappamon. Champion Data. It fused from the data of a music player and the legendary animal "Kappa" and is always listening to its favorite music."

Kellyn scanned her Pokemon. "Vanillish, Ice type. It cools down the surrounding air and creates ice particles to freeze opponents."

"Digimon too…" Summer growled. "Why are you doing this!? Kidnapping all kinds of creatures!"

"Kidnapping?" The man asked. "That's not a nice thing to say."

"Then what would you call it?" Kellyn asked.

"We are merely uniting all beings. As they should be united."

"Uniting? Sheesh, these guys are crazy." Chitose muttered.

"I am agreeing." Armadillomon nodded.

"No, you agree."

"And now we will be taking your Pokemon and Digimon." The woman said. "And unite them as well."

DIGIVOLUTION

"Armadillomon Digivolve to…Ankylomon!"

"Patamon Digivolve to…Angemon!"

Chitose's Digimon stood at the left and right of Keisuke's Kabuterimon. WarGreymon stepped forward. "Nokia, we should also-

"Wait." The girl whispered. "I want to see Keisuke and Chitose in action first. I want to know if they're still are the same even thought the world changed. If they have strong bonds with Digimon."

"I see. Very well." MetalGarurumon said, stepping back.

"Hey, what's going on back there?" Keisuke asked. "We got a fight on our hands."

'Oh, we're just thinking that we'd let the newbies take this one!" Nokia grinned. "Show us what ya got!"

"Sounds like she's testing us." Chitose smiled at Keisuke. "What do you think? You up for it?"

"Anytime. Kabuterimon!"

"Electro Shocker!" Keisuke's Digimon shot a blast of lighting at Gwappamon. The shock stunned the Digimon and then knocked it down. Kabuterimon then charged at it and lifted it off the ground and soared up with it.

"Bagon, Dragon Breath!" While everyone was distracted Kellyn took the opportunity to open fire on the Eiscue.

"Powder Snow!" The Pokemon spat ice back at the Bagon, scaring it away.

"Prinplup, Bubble Beam!" Kellyn's other Pokemon spat a burst of bubbles at the Eiscue.

"Staraptor, Arial Ace!" Summer's Pokemon charged his beak into the Valillite. "Now, Close Combat!" The Staraptor rammed it's wings repeatedly into the Pokemon like fists. The Pokemon was soon knocked out.

"Coral Crusher!" Gesomon shot a burst of black ink at the rangers, but Angemon swopped in and spun his staff so fast it sprayed the gunk all over, while protecting them from it.

"Heaven's Knuckle!" He then shot a beam of light at it, stunning it. Then Kabuterimon started flying downward with Gwappamon. He let it go and it dropped on top of Gesomon.

"Tail Hammer!" Ankylomon jumped up, spun in mid-air and rammed his mace-like tail down on both the Digimon, destroying them and sending their data to Chitose's Digivice.

"Pachirisu, Thunder Wave!" Kellyns partner zapped Eiscue. While it was stunned, he and Summer captured them with their Stylers.

"Tch! I knew the Cyber Rangers would prove a challenge!" The ale One World goon growled. "But that other Ranger and those other Digimon users are tough as well."

"The name's Hudie!" Chitose said. "A hacker team that fights for justice!"

"This isn't over!" the female said. "There're plenty more where we came from!" The two members ran away.

"So that was Team One World." Kellyn said. "Did they come for Articuno? And what do they mean by uniting all?"

"I don't know, but it sounds like there'll be more of them." Chitose sighed.

"There is no need to worry, Chitose." Ankylomon said. "We will protest you."

"He means protect." Angemon corrected.

"Er, yeah, that."

Chitose laughed. "Well you at least make an effort." He said patting Ankylomon on the head. "On a serious note, thanks. Still, it's strange that you want to protect me even though we just met."

"You give us strength and support." Angemon said. "That is enough for me to view you as a friend."

"That's cool with me."

Kabuterimon faced Keisuke. "Same goes for us Keisuke. You're my partner. So, I'll protect you no matter what!"

"Thanks, Kabuterimon."

Nokia smiled. "I guess some things never change. Like the bond with a Digimon and their partner."

"Let's be carful as we proceed." Summer said. The team nodded.

Higher up on the snowy mountain a young man in a heavy blue coat looked down with binoculars. "Team One World minions. They're already here…"

A Digimon was behind him. "If only we could undo that seal on the dumb door, we could face Articuno ourselves! How can we be sure Ben and Summer will even show up?"

"The old detective said he was calling Ranger Union for backup. And if those guys have any brains, they'll know Ben and Summer are the ideal choice." He then zoomed in with his binoculars as and spotted someone. "Hmm?"

"What is it? More One Worlds scrubs?"

The young man grinned. "It's Summer. I knew it!"

"Great! Once she gets up here and undoes the seal we can take that thing down! Is Ben with her?"

"I think…no wait, that's some other guy with a uniform like Rand's. I guess Ben is elsewhere. I'm sure he's in Oblivia at least. He's Summer's partner after all. Looks like that dunce Nokia is with her."

"That helps, I guess. Anyone else?"

The young man zoomed in a little on the group slowly approaching. And then he saw Keisuke and Chitose. "Isn't that…!?"

"What?"

The young man slowly moved the binoculars from his eyes. "What are those two doing here?!"

Summer's group made it through the first area where there were previously a series of avalanches. They even had to use the stone pillars from before again to escape one. "That scared the heck out of me!" Keisuke said. "I thought we were gonna get buried alive!"

"Yeah, I gotta say, this is the last thing I'd ever expect to be doing for Kamishiro." Chitose groaned.

"Hang in there, guys." Summer said. "We're almost halfway there! …I think."

"Halfway?!" Keisuke gaped.

"What do you mean, you think?" Chitose asked.

Kellyn looked up. "Incoming!" He and Summer jumped away as an Ice Beam zoomed by them. A giant snowflake confronted them. Kellyn scanned it with his Styler. "Cryongonal, Ice Type. It's born from snow clouds and captures prey with chains of ice."

"Darn! Thought we could catch you off guard!" They looked up and saw two members of Team One World.

"Alright, time for plan B!" the other declared. "Hold them off until our commander gets here!"

"Commander?" Summer asked.

"Reppamon! Crabominable! You're up!"

"BlackGarurumon!" The One World Member with a Cryongonal, sent out a black fox Digimon and the other one sent a Digimon and a Pokemon.

Summer did a scan. "Reppamon. Champion Vaccine with a tail that is a blade with a will. The blades on its shoulders can dice anything to pieces. Crabominable. Ice/Fighting. It stores coldness in its pinchers and its furry of punches can turn back avalanches."

"Let's get em!" Chitose said.

"Wait!" WarGreymon stepped forward. "Nokia, we've seen Keisuke and Chitose bond with their Digimon. We should help with this one."

Nokia nodded. "You're right. In fact, you guys can leave this one to us this time?"

"Uh, you sure about that?" Kellyn asked.

"Sure, just sit back and let the Digimon pro show you guys how it's done!"

"Ha! Pretty confident are you girl?" One of the goons asked. "You think you can beat all of our Pokemon and Digimon at once?!"

"I don't think I can." Nokia replied. "But WarGreymon, MetalGarurumon and me together? I know we can!"

"Freezing Breath!" MetalGarurumon fired a blue beam from his mouth. It blasted against the Reppamon, before freezing it in ice.

WarGreymon started spinning like a drill and advanced towards the frozen Digimon. "Great Tornado!"

"Cryongonal, stop that thing! Reflect!"

The floating Ice type Pokemon flew in front of Reppamon and a blue barrier formed in front of it. But it was immediately shattered to pieces as was the frozen Reppamon, and Cryongonal, was flung away, knocked out. Nokia's Digivice collected the shards.

"Crabominable, Hammer Arm!" The enemy Pokemon marched towards MetalGarurumon, but when it swung its arm down, Nokia's Digimon jumped away then rammed into it, knocking it back.

"Grand Rock!" BlackGarurumon threw a bolder at WarGreymon, but he held up his Brave Shield and the bolder shattered.

"Ice Wolf Claw!" MetalGarurumon fired a barrage of missiles from his body that blew up in front of the Crabominable and Black Garurumon. Both were flung into the air.

"Terra Force!" WarGreymon threw a massive orange ball at the airborne targets. With a loud blast, the Digimon was destroyed and sent to Nokia's Digivice and the Pokemon dropped to the ground, beaten and out cold.

Nokia sadly looked at her Digivice. "I'm really sorry. I promise you both will be reborn under better circumstances."

"Man, she's strong…" Chitose said. "I guess that's a Cyber Ranger for you…"

"Yeah…" Keisuke replied quietly. "A true hero…"

Nokia glared at the One World troops. "You're causing so much pain and suffering to Pokemon and Digimon. And for what?!"

One of the men trembled. "W-what's the deal with those Digimon?! They're too strong! We don't stand a chance!"

His college kept his cool. "Wait for it…"

Suddenly, something wrapped around Summer, pinning her arms to her sides and lifted her up. "EEEEK!" Another Cryongonal held her up, trapped in a chain of ice coming from its mouth.

Nokia turned around. "Summer!"

"He had another one?!" Kellyn growled.

"Now call your Digimon off, or the girl gets it!" The One World member demanded.

Summer struggled in the chains. "Nokia, don't listen to him!"

Nokia began to panic. "But…I…"

"Catastrophe Cannon!" Three golden spheres rammed into the Cryongonal. The chains around Summer shattered, letting her fall to the ground as it dropped with a thud in the snow.

"What was that?!" The One World man looked at a cliff to his right where the shoot seemed to come from. A Digimon stood looking down on them.

Summer stood up and looked at it. "Diaboromon? That can only mean…"

"Sheesh. See what happens when you try to show off Nokia?" A young man with a heavy blue coat similar to what Nokia, Chitose and Keisuke wore stood next to the Digimon.

"Arata!"

"W-what?! A-Arata Sanada?!" One of the goons trembled. "Another one of the Cyber Rangers?! Here?!" Arata and his Digimon jumped down and landed in front of the enemies. Arata gave them a cold glare. "L-let's get out of here!" The two New World troops ran over to their Z.Z. Flyers and speed off.

"Arata!" Nokia and Summer ran over to him.

The boy smiled as he turned around. "Hey. Saw you guys coming up the mountain. How's it going Summer?"

"Better now that you're here. What brought you here anyway?"

"We were patrolling the Island, seeing if we could find any clues regarding Team One World." Diaboromon explained. "Then we saw Articuno return to this mountain and figured Team One World might come after it, so we've been waiting for you to show up, so you can open that gate blocking the way to it."

"I see. Sorry to keep you two waiting."

Chitose checked a list on his Digivice. He pulled up an image of Arata, then looked at the boy. "Yup, that's him." He walked over to him. "Arata Sanada. Name's Chitose. Nice to met you and all that. Satoru Kamishiro sent us to this world to rescue you and your friends."

Arata kept a blank face. "Is that so? And who's "us" exactly?"

"Me, Keisuke back there, our friend Yu and our leader Ryuji."

"Hi." Keisuke waved as he stared at Arata and his Digimon.

"Uh, yeah. Nice to meet you." Arata said awkwardly.

Chitose scratched the back of his head. "Well anyway, I say "rescue" but the thing is, the program that's going to send us home won't activate for a month, sooooo…"

"Eh, it's fine." Arata shrugged. "That gives me time to take down these goons. By the way Summer, is Ben around?"

"Yup. He's with the rest of Chitose's team and my friends, Keith and Kate. They went after Moltres. Speaking of my friends, Arata, this is Kellyn. A Ranger like me from Almia."

Kellyn smiled and waved. "Nice to met you."

"Yeah, likewise." Arata replied. "So, what's Team One World up to? Any new leads?"

"All we know is that they want to "unite" something or another." Keisuke said. "And those two just now were waiting for a commander of some kind."

"We better get moving." Kellyn said. "We'd stand a better chance against Articuno with whoever it is off our backs."

Summer nodded. "Let's hurry, gang!"
