After defeating Ice and rescuing Blue Eyes, Keisuke and co hurried out of the room, continuing the search for their missing friends with Takumi, Ami and Kyoko now on that list.

"You don't think Ice was telling the truth, do you?" Nokia asked. "What if we are too late?"

"You seriously think that nut job's trustworthy?" Kate asked. "He was just trying to discourage us. I know we can still save them, just like we did Blue Eyes."

"Let's hope you're right." Matayoshi said. "I've got a bad feeling about this."

They hurried down the long, dark hallway until they came to a stop at a metal door. Keisuke noticed a panel on the wall nearby and put his Digivice on. "I'll see if I can hack this thing. Yikes. This is some seriously steep security."

Arata hurried next to him and brought out a monitor. "I'll help."

"So will I." Yuugo said as he some over with his Digivice.

Everyone then heard footsteps rushing behind them. Turning around they saw some One World grunts. "Stop! No one's allowed in there!"

"Sounds like we're about to break into something important." Yuuko said.

"All the more reason to hurry." Rand said as he turned around. "You boys hurry and get that door open! We'll cover you!"

"You got it." Arata nodded as the three started the hack.

In a dark room Team One World's masked leader had two monitors displayed in front of him. On one he could see Ryuji and Chitose with Cyberdramon and Ankylomon, ready to fight each other. Keisuke stood nearby, looking back and forth at them, struggling to pick a side. On the other he saw Yu watching Keisuke walk away after they defeated Hosaka. And then Yu talking to himself.

"Quite something, data is, wouldn't you say?" the man said. "They can relive the entire experience in its most accurate form."

Matadormon stood next to him. "Ha, ha, ha, ha! I can't wait to see the look on old Keisuke's face when he sees this!"

Three Arurumon charged towards the heroes.

"Shadow Wing!"

"Trident Revolver!" Immediately they were shot down.

Three Swellot came in next.

"Nitro Stinger!"

"Giga Blaster!" All three went down, but more Pokemon were coming in.

"Guys, aren't you done with that stupid lock yet?!" Kate asked as she struggled to catch a Pidgeotto.

"Almost!" Yuugo said. "Just buy us a little more time!"

Ben growled as he turned to the swarm. "We'll do what we can, but these numbers…"

Suddenly all the Digimon and Pokemon charging towards them glowed purple and froze in place. All of them were flung into the walls roughly defore being slammed into the floor.

"What just happened?!" one of the grunts asked.

"Is that…Psychic power?" Solana asked.

"Nicely done, Metagross."

Everyone noticed someone standing next to a Psychic/Steel type Pokemon on the other side of the swarm of grunts. He held a staff and wore a hood. Matayoshi's eyes widened. "That staff…!"

"It's you!" Ben said.

"Who are you?!" one of the female members asked. "How'd you find this place?!"

"Finding it was easy, figuring out how to work that weird lift and the metal doors was what slowed me down. A lot." The man sighed. "Technology is so weird."

Nokia tilted her head. "You know this guy Ben?"

"Is this the person you were talking about?" Yuuko asked. "The guy who can use Guardian Signs?"

The hooded man chuckled. "You mean this?" He held up his staff and the wings glowed. With each swing, a sparkling trail of rainbow colors. "Croagunk come forth!" his drawing glowed and a Pokemon emerged.

"It's true!" Kate gasped. "He has the same power as Ben and Summer!"

The man drew another sign. "Come forth! Aipom!"

"Pfft! You think you can stop us with those runts?" one of the Team One World members scoffed.

"Maybe I do."

Just then Arata, Keisuke and Yuugo got the door open. "We're in!" Keisuke said, putting his visor down.

"You guys go help your friends!" the man said. "I'll handle things here! If you go now you might be able to save them in time!"

"In time for what?" Ben asked.

"Just hurry!" the man said, pointing his staff at them. As he did, Metagross roared and Ben and his friends glowed purple before they were all pushed through the doorway. One of the One World members tried to go after them when the door shut in his face.

"Ow." Solana groaned. "I know that guy means well but he could have been a little more gentle…"

"Who was he anyway?" Keith asked.

"I wish I knew." Ben replied. "But…I feel like I've seen him before…"

"You too?" Summer asked.

"Do you think he'll be okay on his own?" Rand asked. "There sure were a lot of those goons…"

"I'm sure he'll be fine." Ben nodded. "He's good."

"I'm more concerned about what he just said." Matayoshi said. "Sounds like something bad is about to happen to Ryuji and the others. We need to move!"

"Matayoshi's right!" Date nodded. "We can worry about some weirdo with a hood later!"

Everyone hastily stood up and continued down the dark hall. They kept running, not slowing down with the thoughts of their friends being in potential danger encouraging them. "How deep is this stupid hall?" Nokia groaned. "We've been running nonstop…"

A light up ahead got their attention. "Look! Over there!" Lunick pointed. The closer they got, the clearer they could see what was in front of them. Two monitors. Showing different things.

Everyone stopped as they looked at them. One showed a dark red area no one was familiar with. But the other… "Is that…EDEN?" Yuugo asked.

"EDEN?" Kate asked. "That's the virtual reality thing in your world you mentioned, right?"

"Why is there a monitor showing this?" Arata asked. "Wait…Is that…Ryuji?!"

Everyone looked at the screen closely. Sure, enough they could see Ryuji standing there. "Chitose and Keisuke too!" Nokia said before noticing someone else. It was a humanoid being with blue butterfly wings. "Who's that with them? Is that a Digimon?"

Keisuke's eyes widened. "Eri…ka?"

Everyone turned to him. "That's Erika?!" Arata asked.

Monodramon looked at the screen. "Hudiemon..."

"I know this…" Keisuke muttered. "This was when we fought to save Erika in EDEN…"

Yuuko glanced at him. "You mean while we were…?"

"Whoa, whoa, hold up!" Kate said. "What's going on? You know what's happening?"

Keisuke clutched his fists. "What is this? Why is this here?"

Kellyn glanced at the other screen. Keisuke was in this one as well. Kneeling in front of someone on their knees, wearing red pants and a black coat. "Hey…is that Yu?!"

Everyone glanced at it. Sure enough it was Keisuke comforting a upset and devastated Yu. "No…" Keisuke gasped. "This was when…!"

Yuuko spotted a panel with a small screen and started examining it. "Guys…I think this is some kind of simulation. It seems to run similarly to that memory trap Crusadermon used."

"What?" Nokia gasped. "Does that mean…Ryuji, Chitose and Yu are seeing this? Their lost memories?"

"Lost memories?" Lunick asked. "I think you're going to have to rewind a bit here, you lost me."

"No…!" Everyone turned to Keisuke as his clutched fists trembled. "Stop! Ryuji! Chitose! Yu! You can't remember any of this! It'll only make you sad!"

Nokia watched sadly. "Keisuke…"

"So, wait, who's Erika?" Fei asked.

"She's…" Arata sighed. "She's Ryuji's younger sister."

"Ryuji has a sister?" Data asked. "Why is she part butterfly?"

"Because she merged with a Digimon and became Hudiemon." HerculesKabuterimon replied.

"Wait, that's impossible!" Matayoshi objected. "I've known Ryuji for years! He never had a sister!"

"You don't remember." Arata replied. "Because of our world rebooting."

"Is this about what you mentioned of your world changing?" Summer asked. "So, in that other reality…Ryuji had a sister?"

Monodramon looked down. "After their parents died in an accident Erika was struck with a rare disease. Ryuji was forced to work for Kamishiro and do their dirty work to get her treatment."

"Crusadermon…" Yuuko glared.

"So how does the world changing effect Erika?" Fei asked.

"Because she merged with her Digimon...and after the battle left for the Digital World." Nokia said. "Keisuke told us everything because he's like us. He remembers our other reality."

"What?!" Matayoshi looked at Keisuke. "Is that true?!"

"But Ryuji, Chitose and Yu don't remember." Yuugo asked. "At least…not until now…"

The screen with Keisuke and Yu shut off. On the other, thy saw Chitose glow blue and disappear. Then Ryuji. And just before the same could happen to Keisuke, he reached out and grabbed Hudiemon's hand. "STOP IT!" Keisuke punched the screen. It fizzled and went off after breaking. After that everyone went silent. Keisuke didn't care about the pain in his hand. He just dropped to his knees, shedding tears. "Erika…"

Nokia looked sadly at him. "Keisuke…"

Everyone heard a laugh, averting to their attention. On the far end of the room, near a series on keyboards, screens and a chair, stood a masked man. "Funny thing how human memories work. Once you remember something awful, it's hard to stop thinking about it. And as long as you keep thinking about it, you cannot forget it. In the end, nobody can run from their past."

Ben glared. "You again!"

"The leader of Team One World!" Patamon growled.

"So, this is the leader of Team One World…" Arata scowled.

HerculesKabuterimon stared at him in shock. "Keisuke! That mask!"

Keisuke stared at the man through his tears. "You…!"

Date looked at him. "You know this jerk?"

"Ah, yes." The man chuckled. "Keisuke Amazawa, correct?"

Keisuke slowly got up and glared at the man. "You're…K!"

Silence fell over the room. "K?" Keith raised an eyebrow. "What kind of name is-

"Hold on…K?" Arata asked. "That hacker that you said stole your account and tried to take over Jimmy Ken's team? That K?"

"How is he here then?!" Yuuko asked.

"W-wait a minute…" Nokia shuddered. "Didn't you say that guy turned out to be…Yu?!"

"Wait, what?!" Rand asked. "Team One World's leader is Yu?!"

"Yu?" the masked man asked in a curious tone. "Who are they talking about?"

Matadormon appeared next to him. "Beats me."

"It's that Digimon!" HerculesKabuterimon gasped.

Keisuke glared at him. "You!"

"Finally!" the Digimon laughed. "Someone who bothered to remember me! Did you miss the fun times we had?"

"Why is Yu leading Team One World?!" Date asked. "Does that mean he was the one who kidnapped Ryuji?!"

"No!" Yuugo shook his head. "That Digimon is controlling him through that mask!"

"Yu, that Digimon is manipulating you again!" Keisuke yelled. "You have to fight it!"

"Again, you call me Yu." The masked man said. "But who are you referring to?"

"Oooooooooh. Wait a minute." Matadormon snickered. "He means that weak failure who worked with me before you!"

"Ah, yes, of course. Sorry to disappoint you then, but I am not that pathetic child. And if you need proof…" the man snapped his fingers. Then there was a bright flash of light. Ryuji, Chitose, Yu and Otamamon appeared on the floor.

"Ryuji! Chitose! Yu!" Keisuke ran up to them with the others close by. "Are you okay?!"

Ryuji was the first to put his hands on the floor and lift himself up. His face showed a fixture of painful emotions. "Erika…How could I have forgotten her…? My own sister…?!"

Monodramon shuddered. "No…"

"Chitose, are you alright?!" Patamon asked with Armadillomon at his side.

Chitose grunted as he got up. "…Guys? What are you doing here?"

"What's it look like?" Solana asked. "We're here to rescue you."

Yu trembled as he got on his hands and knees. "I…I didn't mean for…I never wanted…"

"Aw. They look so sad!" Matadormon said.

"As to be expected." The masked man chuckled. "They did regain all their memories of their greatest failures."

Arata glared at them. "You monster!"

"So that isn't Yu?!" Nokia asked.

"No. But you can call me "K" for the time being if it makes things easier for you." The masked man replied.

"Why did you force Ryuji and his friends to regain their memories?!" Yuuko asked.

"I just wanted to see them all suffer and squirm!" Matadormon asked. "What a brilliant plan that was my friend! You really are a lot more fun then Yu ever was!"

"Why thank you." K replied. "I strive to please. Your servant Myotismon put on a good show as well."

"Myotismon?" Ben asked. "Purple Eyes' Digimon?!"

"He worked for us. Leading the Societea to the Golden Armor did stir up a bit of mayhem in Oblivia. But we felt you might have needed an extra push. At first I considered having Myotismon give Arcadiamon's Digi-egg to Ed and his friends as well."

"Arcidiamon?!" Keisuke gapped.

"But I thought "why let those old geezers have all the fun?" Matadormon laughed. "Let's give Purple Eyes some power and see if he turns on them! And he did! Did you see the look on Ed's face when he stole the Golden Armor right in front of him?! Hilarious!"

"You two are behind everything then?!" Rand asked. "What is it you want?!"

"I want to reclaim what was rightfully mine and stollen from me." K replied. "Now that I got the data I require, I should go plan my next move."

"Aaaaaw. We're leaving already?" Matadormon deflated in depression. "I wanted to play with them. Can't I at least kick Hudie around a bit?"

"Wasn't it enough to break them apart? I don't think they'll ever be the same after this. Especially considering Keisuke here knew the truth and kept it from them."

Ryuji, Chitose and Yu looked at Keisuke in shock. "…What…?" Chitose muttered. "Keisuke…is that true?"

Keisuke snarled as he got up. "That's enough you monster! HERCULESKABUTERIMON!"

"GIGA BLASTER!" His Digimon fired a gold blast at Matadormon.

"Ho!" the Digimon jumped over the attack and charged at him in mid-air. "Earth-Shattering Stomp!" He smashed his foot into HerculesKabuterimon's face repeatedly before knocking him a good distance, watching him slam to the floor.

"What's going on?!" Otamamon asked. "He wasn't that strong earlier!"

"Ah yes, well, I was using only saaaaaaaay…30% of my full power back then."

"He let us win on purpose." Armadillomon muttered. "To make us drop our bard."

"Guard." Patamon whispered.

"Guard."

"See?" Matadormon turned to K. "I can beat them all up! Do we really need to keep all of them around?"

"Strike of the Seven Stars!"

Matadormon barley reacted in time to evade golden spheres flung at him. "What?!"

"Eden's Javelin!" A golden beam came at him next, but he bent backwards, going under it.

Everyone turned around to see Seraphimon and Ophanimon. Takumi, Ami and Kyoko caught up to them. "Cyber Sleuths back on the scene!" Takumi said. "Missed us guys?"

"Fashionably late as always, huh?" Ben grinned.

"Oh, thank goodness." Yuuko sighed in relief at the sight of her friends.

"Takumi! Ami! Kyoko! Are you okay?" Nokia asked.

"Yeah. Things got dicey, but an old friend helped us out." Ami smiled.

"An old friend?" Garudamon asked. "Who?"

"Sorry to keep you waiting, Monodramon." Everyone noticed the black armored Digimon entering the room.

Monodramon gasped. "It's you! How did you…?!"

"This Digimon…" Keisuke had a flashback of him and Wormmon on a certain rooftop. "It's the one from back then!"

"I-is that who I think it is?!" YuuKo asked.

"Alphamon!" Omnimon gasped.

"Alphamon?" Solana asked.

"Alphamon?!" UlforceVeedramon asked. "So, this is the thirteenth Royal Knight! The legends were true after all!"

"Alphamon…" Matayoshi muttered. "Didn't you say this one took control of Kyo-Kyo's body back in that other reality?"

Ben scanned the knight with his Styler. "Alphamon…Mega Level Vaccine Type. A carrier of the X-Antibody and the Alpha inForce…"

Alphamon chucked. "So many familiar faces here. A shame we don't have time for a proper reunion."

K growled. "Tch! King Drasil's personal lapdog. A real annoying guest has appeared."

"You know of King Drasil?" Ami asked.

"Takumi, Ami, this guy is wearing the mask Keisuke told us about that Yu wore!" Nokia said.

Takumi looked at her. "You mean K's mask?"

"I see." Alphamon asked. "If you know so much about my world then that confirms my theory. You are the one who connected the Digital World to this one and started sending Digimon here."

"You're a persistent one." K replied. "Indeed I am. How I did so however is going to be my little secret for now. At any rate I assume you're the reason the Cyber Sleuths survived that nasty little trap Kincaid set up behind my back?"

"I merely lent these humans my strength. After all, I wasn't about to let my partner or our assistants perish."

"Disappointed?" Takumi asked.

K laughed. "On the contrary. If you and your sister perished before playing out your role it would devastate my plan."

"What role?"

"K!" Summer yelled. "Why did you throw Digimon and Oblivia into all this chaos?!"

"All is as the script I wrote many years ago should be. Soon you will see. Ben Natsuya. Summer Minami. Takumi Aiba. Ami Aiba. Arata Sanada. Nokia Shiramine. Yuuko Kamishiro. Yuugo Kamishiro. Fei Wong Tomoe Ignacio. I'll have you all pay for your sin against not just me, but the very laws of nature."

"Huh?" Ben blinked. "What are you talking about?"

"You'll learn in due time." K turned around and started typing into a keyboard. "But for now, I must bid you all farewell. The leader of the Royal Knights is not someone we're up to facing just yet."

"What?" Matadormon asked. "Oh please! I can easily pound fancy pants over there! Watch!" He sprung around and started moving around the gang at incredible speed.

"H-he's fast!" Kate muttered. "I can't keep up!"

Alphamon held out a hand. "Blade of the Dragon King." A green sword of light appeared in her hand as the Digimon bounced around her. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes. Just as Matadormon charged at her from behind they snapped open and she whirled around before driving the sword through him.

"GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Matadormon screamed. Aplhamon swung the sword over her head so hard, Matadormon flew off it, bounced off the floor and landed near K. "Aaaah! H…how?!"

Chitose shuddered. "No way! What the heck is that Digimon?!"

"So, this is the power of Alphamon…" Ben said as a sweat drop ran down his head. "The leader of the Royal Knights."

K sighed. "I tried to warn you." He withdrew Matadormon into his Controlvice. He stepped onto a purple pad that emitted a violet light. "Expect to hear from us again soon."

"Wait!" Ben ran towards K, but he disappeared in a bright flash. "Darn it, he's gone!"

Kyoko walked over to the controls. "A transporter of some sort. Clever. He set it to erase the coordinates he put in as soon as he left. We can't follow."

"He may have escaped, but we accomplished what we set out to do." Rand said. "Our friends are all safe. Everyone! Mission Clear!" The Rangers triumphantly posed.

Kyoko typed into the keypad. "There. I set it so that it'll send us back to Rand's place. All you need to do is step on the pad."

"Alphamon, what are you doing here?" HerculesKabuterimon asked.

"You know Alphamon?" Takumi asked.

"Yes, there is a lot we need to discuss." The knight replied. "Let us head back first."

Keisuke knelled to his friends. "Guys? Are you okay?"

"No…" Yu stood up but hung his head low. "What I did was unforgivable…"

"Yu, I-

Before Keisuke finished Yu ran to the teleporter. "Yu, wait up!" Otamamon ran over to it just as it sent him. Both disappeared.

"Keisuke…" Everyone looked at Ryuji. "You…knew?"

The boy reluctantly replied. "…Yeah."

"So, my assistants and their companions are not the only ones who remember the reality we altered." Alphamon said. "Interesting."

"I only talked about it to Takumi, Ami, Arata, Nokia, Yuuko and Yuugo." Keisuke said. "They also remember everything because they-

He was interrupted when Ryuji roughly grabbed him by the collar and held him up against a wall startling everyone. "You knew everything! This entire time!" Keisuke's eyes widened with fear as he saw the fury in Ryuji's.

"R-Ryuji!" Chitose got up.

"It's not his fault!" Arata said. "We all knew but-

"I don't need opinions from you of all people Sanada!" Ryuji yelled, not facing away from Keisuke. Arata flinched. Then Rand and Lunick tackled Ryuji from the side making his drop Keisuke. "Get off me!" Ryuji yelled as they held his arms back.

"Not until you calm down, you hothead!" Rand grunted.

"Ryuji, get a hold of yourself!" Chitose yelled.

"He knew!" Ryuji yelled. "He kept the truth of Erika from me!"

"He did so for your sake!" Takumi scolded. "He knew you would take it hard!"

"Don't be an idiot Ryuji!" Matayoshi snapped. "Do you think he would hide something like this just to hurt you?! I doubt the poor kid enjoyed keeping such a secret!"

"And even then, what the heck was he supposed to say?!" Chitose asked. "Hey, by the way Ryuji, you have a younger sister who turned into a Digimon, but you don't remember her because the world was transformed"? You wouldn't have believed any of it if he told you sooner and you know it!"

Ryuji stayed still for a moment. Then he pulled out of Rand and Lunick's grip and stormed over to the teleporter. "Ryuji!" Monodramon ran after him.

Takumi offered Keisuke a hand up. "Are you okay?"

Keisuke shook his head and stood up on his own. "No…I didn't want to hurt them. I…"

"I know you didn't Keisuke." Chitose said quietly. "I'm sure Yu and Ryuji know that deep down too."

"We should get out of here ourselves." Kellyn suggested.

"Agreed." Alphamon nodded. "There is a lot I need to explain. And I would also like an update on what happened so far."

Takumi nodded. "I gotta say, it's real good to have you back Alphamon."

"And good timing too." Ami added. "I get the feeling that things are about to get tough."
