Things are going smoothly with this story as well as The Next Heroes, so it looks like I can consistently upload them both weekly so far. With that said enjoy a chapter in Koh's perspective for a change.

Ever since the incident in Sunshine City, Koh has been hard at work helping Digimon. The virus attack reverted his RiseGreymon and Angemon to Rookies, but with effort and patience he got them back to their original forms. What's more, his Coronamon became the Champion Level Firamon. After the incident in Loop Swamp, Koh took a few quests before being called back by his Chief.

But when he entered the Union Room, three other Tamers were already there. "The Night Crow suddenly attacked us at Register Jungle." Tonpei said.

"Those guys are really suspicious!" Cheetah added. "They must be the ones that destroyed CITY!"

The Chief shook his head. Ophanimon looked at him. "But Glare? This is a big problem if the Night Crow really did destroy CITY. We can't let them do as they please."

"But… we still don't know if that's true. We can't rush to judgment and act carelessly…This is difficult."

"Chief Glare." Tonpei moved aside for Koh to approach. "You called for me?"

"Good timing Koh. I want you to go to Register Jungle and meet with a Tamer from Night Crow. They might know something…"

"Sir?"

"Everyone's afraid since we don't have enough information. We need to know more about this incident. Be careful not to provoke them."

"Yes sir."

Kenpa looked at Koh. "Koh, remember to be very cautious. Something's not right about the Night Crow."

Koh turned around. "Huh? What do you mean?"

"Keep your guard up!" Cheetah said. "This isn't good! They think we're the enemy!"

"What? Why?"

"One thing's for sure. Something's happening in the Digital World." Glare said. "Go to Register Jungle and find out from Night Crow who destroyed City!"

Tonpei grinned at Cheetah. "Don't let the Night Crow scare you, Cheetah."

"I'm not scared! Why do I have to be scared of those guys?! We're the Light Fang!"

"Well then, let's go." Koh's three friends hurried on ahead.

Glare sighed. "If I were allowed to act freely, I would have gone to investigate."

"Don't worry Chief. We got this." Koh replied.

Koh and his team continued through the lush jungle, but still found no sign of any humans. "Could Night Crow really think we're their enemies?" Koh asked.

"We haven't seen them since the tournament." Angemon replied. "And a lot of strange things happened between now and then."

"Angemon's right." RiseGreymon said. "Let's keep our guard up."

Koh climbed up another vine and kept walking until he spotted someone in purple. "That uniform…They're Night Crow."

"I'm ready to fight." Firamon said.

"Easy Firamon." Angemon said. "We don't know if they're our enemy or not. Let's try talking to them."

Koh stepped forward. "Excuse me…"

The Tamer spotted him and rushed over. "Are you Light Fang?"

"Yeah, Chief Glare sent me to-

He held out his Digivice. "Prepare yourself!"

"Huh?"

"Kogamon, Ninjamon, Musyamon, Realize!" Three Digimon emerged from the Tamers Digivice and charged at Koh.

"Koh, look out!" Angemon rushed in and blocked Musyamon's katana with his staff.

Koh looked at the Tamer. "What do you think you're doing!?"

"Light Fang must perish!"

Ninjamon and Kogamon jumped at Koh. "Shadow Slash!"

RiseGreymon flew in front of Koh and opened his mouth. "Giga Breath!" He blasted both of them away.

Kogamon flipped in mid-air and threw a shuriken "Metal Star!" RiseGreymon blocked them with his arm.

"Take them out!" Koh said.

Musyamon swung at Angemon again. "Drain Slash!"

Angemon jumped back and his fist glowed. "Heaven Knuckle!" He fired a beam that knocked Musyamon down.

"Flame Dive!" Firamon cloaked himself in flames and rushed at Ninjamon and Kogamon, taking both of them down at the same time.

The Tamer groaned. "Uggh… Defeat Light Fang… Defeat…Night Crow..."

Koh tilted his head. "What's with his guy?"

He suddenly gasped. "Huh? What…What am I doing here?"

"Hey, are you alright?"

"Was…I sleeping?" He then noticed Koh. "Oh nooo, run!" He teleported away with a Gate Disc.

"What was that about?" Koh asked.

"I have no idea." RiseGreymon shrugged.

"It almost seemed like he was being controlled or something…" Angemon replied. "Koh, be careful. I'm sure more are around, and I'd expect them to act the same."

"Okay…"

Koh continued on. After some back and forth to get a gate open he heard footsteps. "Someone's coming." From the corner ahead a familiar boy with a blue hat and glasses approached. "That's the guy we fought at the tournament…Newton, or something? What's he doing here?"

"I'll defeat you…You're my enemy…" He held out his Digivice. "Kokuwamon…Realize." His Digimon appeared in front of him.

"Burst Tackle!" Kokuwamon charged into RiseGreymon but couldn't even make him flinch as he bounced off him. He then charged at Angemon. "Double Blade!" He swiped at Angemon who casually and easily blocked with his staff. He backed away and fired at Firamon. "Lightning Arrow!" The bolt hit the Champion Level but didn't do much.

RiseGreymon pointed his weapon at it. "Trident Revolver." He fired repeatedly blasting the Rookie out of the air and it dropped to the ground. "That was pathetic."

Koh shook his head and walked over to Newton and started shaking him. "Hey! Snap out if it!"

"Huh? What's going on?! Ugh… My head…hurts…"

"Are you okay?"

"Ugghh… Help me…" He pushed Koh off him who fell onto his rear, withdrew his Digimon and ran away.

"Hey!" Angemon rushed after him but stopped to help his Tamer up. "You okay?"

"Yeah, but what's going on?" Koh asked.

"I wish I knew…" Firamon replied. "Well anyway, we better go after him! He might be able to tell us what's going on with Night Crow!"

"Right!" They ran in the direction Newton fled it. They hurried down a path, climbed up another vine and soon saw Newton near a gate groaning. "Darn, my head hurts…"

"Hey, Newton!" Koh stopped nearby. "Are you alright? What's happening?"

He turned around and faced Koh. "Defeat… Light Fang… Destroy… Union…"

"There he goes again." RiseGreymon sighed. "What now?"

"I don't want to hurt him, but I guess we can subdue him and take him back to Sunshine City…" Koh suggested.

"Newton, what are you doing?! Hurry, run!"

Koh gasped and looked behind him. Sayo was running in his direction and stopped in front of him. "Sayo?!"

"Newton! Get to the gate!"

Newton remained in a daze for a moment longer before he gasped. "Sayo! What are you doing here? …I see!" He ran to the gate.

Koh looked at Newton as he disappeared. "Hey, wait!"

"You'll pay for what you did to Newton!" Sayo yelled.

"Sayo, don't tell me you're also-

The Tamer of NightCrow held her Digivice forward. "MachGaogamon! Lekisumon! Lilamon! Realize!" Her two Ultimate and newly evolved Champion Digimon appeared.

"Koh, get ready!" Firedramon said.

Koh grimaced. "Looks like we got no choice. Fine then! I beat you before, I can do it again!"

"You won't get lucky this time." Sayo said. "My team has gotten stronger since the tournament!"

Koh thought about it. It's true a lot of time has passed since their last battle. And because of the virus attack, his RiseGreymon and Angemon were spending that time just getting back to the level they were at before. Only Firamon actually improved since then, Sayo's Digimon on the other hand likely grew in power. Still, Koh would stand his ground. "We'll see…"

"MachGaogamon!"

"Gaoga Tornado!" Sayo's Digimon spun in place whipping up a fierce tornado around Koh's party. Lilamon charged into Angemon out of nowhere. RiseGreymon aimed his weapon at her when the tornado dissipated and MachGaogamon was above him. "Winning Punch!"

"RiseGreymon, look out!" Koh shouted. His Digimon moved aside as MachGaogamon punched the ground. He took aim at him, but the blue Digimon rushed into him and they grappled.

Firamon was about to help when he heard something. Lekisumon was charging at him. "Soulful Kick!"

He leapt back out of the way and charged. "Flame Dive!" He rammed into Lekisumon.

Angemon swung his staff at Lilamon repeatedly who blocked each hit with her arms and legs. "We knew Light Fang was up to something!" Lilamon said. "But Sayo didn't think Koh would turn to evil too!"

"Be silent! Koh is anything but evil!"

MachGaogamon flipped RiseGreymon to the ground. "Then explain attacking Newton!"

"Rising Ray!" RiseGreymon caught him off guard at knocked him over with a energy blast. "Newton and Night Crow were the ones who attacked us! We've done nothing but defend ourselves!"

Lekisumon rolled off the ground as Firamon charged again. "Newton wouldn't have attacked you if you didn't give him a good reason to!"

"Well, he just did!" Firamon said. "Night Crow are the ones who attacked us! And we want to know why!"

"Night Crow aren't the aggressors!" Sayo yelled. "Light Fang are!"

"Pollen Spray!" Lilamon spewed a golden pollen at Angemon stunning him before knocking him into Firamon.

"Ice Blast!" Lekismon shot both of them with a burst of ice.

RiseGreymon blocked a punch form MachGaogamon but then Lilamon hit him from behind. MachGaogamon hammered RiseGreymon to the ground on top of Koh's two other Digimon.

"It's true." Agnemon grunted as they got up. "They have gotten stronger since we last fought."

"Can't say the same for you." MachGaogamon replied as he and Lilamon landed beside Lekismon.

"Pathetic." Sayo said. "This is the best Light Fang can do?"

Koh looked at his Digivice. "No. Not yet. We haven't lost yet."

"Koh…" Firamon struggled to stand.

"When you're pushed to your limits you find the courage to push past them. That's how we grow. Humans and Digimon." His Digivice glowed. "I'm not about to lose here to Night Crow! I won't tarnish the pride of Light Fang!" An orange aura burst around him.

Sayo shuddered. "That's…!"

"DNA!" Koh held his Digivice forward and it displayed a text.

PERFECT EVOLUTION

He raised his other hand up and the orange aura flew upward before he slammed his hand on top of his Digivice. "Full Charge!" A gold light burst from the screen and fired at Firamon.

"Firamon Digivolve to…" Firamon stood on two legs as his body transformed. His maim grew and his wings were replaced with red, white, and black shoulder pads that stretched down. "Flaremon!"

"His Digimon Digivolved to Ultimate!" Lekismon gasped.

Koh looked at him. "Firamon…No, Flaremon. So, this is what you look like in your Ultimate form…"

Flaremon looked at his hand. He clutched it into a fist as he faced Saya and her Digimon. "With this power…we'll bring honor to Light Fang!"

"Two Ultimates and one Champion on each side. Now it's a fair fight! Flaremon, you take Lilamon! RiseGreymon, stay on MachGaogamon! Angemon, you take Lekismon!"

"Blazing Power!" Flaremon roared as he, RiseGreymon and Angemon glowed red.

"Boost Tackle!" RiseGreymon dashed into MachGaogamon.

Lilamon turned around and was about to fly after her, but something grabbed her foot, stopping her with a yelp. She looked behind her to see Flaremon grabbing her leg. He swung her and slammed her into the ground. "Celestial Cross!" A golden light engulfed her while she was on the ground.

Angemon charged to Lekismon. "Ice Blast!" She fired another ice ball at him.

"Big Tornado!" Angemon spun repeatedly as he approached, knocking the attack aside and rammed into Lekismon.

As MachGaogamon was being pushed back, he opened his mouth to attack. "Sonic Voi-

"Energy Shot!" RiseGreymon pushed him off and shot him point blank.

"Power Cutter!" Lilamon charged at Flaremon again, but he blocked her swipe with his fist. As she stumbled back he grabbed her in his large hands. She struggled to free her arms out of his grip before he slammed her into the ground. She landed near Sayo's other Digimon. "H-he's too strong!"

"Guys, hang in there!" Sayo said.

"Let's finish this!" Koh yelled.

"Heaven Knuckle!"

"Trident Revolver!"

"Guren Juuouha!" Flaremon threw a punch that sent a lion spirit at them alongside RiseGreymon and Angemon's attacks. Lekismon, Lilamon, and MachGaogamon screamed as they were hit. They all laid on the ground unconscious.

"We did it!" Koh cheered.

Sayo dropped to her knees. "…It's my loss. I…can't believe I lost to Light Fang."

Koh sadly looked at her. "Sayo, I-

"But even if you take over the world by force, Night Crow will never lose! We're the ones fighting for justice!"

"Sayo, what in the world are you talking about?! Light Fang isn't trying to take over the world! Night Crow were the ones who attacked us! If anything, I'd say justice is on our side!"

"What?! You think justice is on your side? How can that be!"

"Sayo, tell me what's going on. Who set you guys up for this?" Koh's Digivice beeped averting his attention. "What now? A transmission from Chief Glare?"

"All of you Light Fang! Listen to me! Don't fight with the Night Crow! Get as far away from Register Jungle as fast as you can!"

"What?"

Sayo stood up and looked at her Digivice. "What is this? Is it the Union?"

"All of you Night Crow! Listen to me! Don't fight with the Light Fang! Get as far away from Register Jungle as fast as you can!"

Sayo grumbled and withdrew her Digimon into her Digivice. "I guess there's no choice. We'll have to continue this later. Night Crow will never lose to evil!"

"Sayo, wait!" Koh reached out to her as she used a Gate Disc to teleport away.

Flaremon stared at a distraught Koh before speaking up. "Come on Koh, we need to leave. We must report to the chief."

Koh stood there for a moment before turning to the gate.

"Sayo wasn't acting strangely like the others, was she?" Angemon asked. "But she seemed to believe we were her enemy…"

Gideon was in the Union room with Chief Glare and Ophanimon. "…Chief Glare why did Night Crow attack us at Register Jungle?"

"Hmm… Gideon, I'm sure they had a reason for attacking us, but…"

"Do you think the one that attacked City, and Night Crow are working together?" Ophanimon asked.

"We have no proof so there's really no way to know. And there's no way a Union Tamer member who is supposed to protect CITY would destroy it."

"I agree…" Gideon nodded. "Come to think of it, the Night Crow at Register Jungle were acting strangely. As if they were under someone's control."

"…Something's going on." Glare muttered.

"Chief…" Koh approached.

"Koh, you're back."

"Yes sir."

"Gideon, I want you to continue gathering information about Night Crow and DarkmoonCITY."

"Understood." The man saluted before taking his leave. Koh stepped forward.

"It seems that something's going on with Night Crow. Koh, you go and gather information about them also."

"Yes sir."

"I've sent your reward to Shine Center, so go and get it later." Ophanimon said.

"Thank you."

"Keep up the good work. I'm counting on you." Glare said. The three saluted.

When Koh left the Union room he sighed. "Koh, what's wrong?" Angemon said.

"Is…is Night Crow really our enemy? Is Sayo really our enemy?"

Flaremon looked at him sadly. "Koh…"

Koh looked at his Digivice. "I want to battle Sayo again someday. Not as bitter enemies, but as rivals and friends…"

Yeah, Digivolving in this story is based of off Data Squad because, I mean come in, it's literally the same Digivices they use in this game! Anyway, next up the story continues in Sayo's perspective.
