Another skip in the story as we enter another chapter in Sayo/Dusk perspective.

Sayo prayed she'd find a lead on her missing Chief as she got deeper into Thriller Ruins. Her Crescemon, MachGaogamon, and Lilamon. She walked into a corner where a teleporter was spotted. "I think that's the end." Sayo murmured.

They looked around. "I haven't seen Chief Julia or ChaosGallentmon yet." MachGaogamon replied.

"Where could they have gone?" Lilamon asked.

Sayo sighed. Crescemon's ears perked up. "What was that?"

"What was what?" Lialamon asked.

"I heard something…"

Everyone looked around. Suddenly four Tsukaimon surrounded the party. "A trap?!" MachGaogamon asked.

"Everyone, be on guard!" Sayo ordered.

"Dark Blast!" All four of them fired at once towards Sayo.

"Sayo!" Lilamon flew up and grabbed her tamer before pulling her out of the way. She then aimed at them. "Pollen Spray!" She shot a golden pollen from the flower on her back that paralyzed the enemy Digimon.

"Gaoga Tornado!" MachGaogamon summoned a powerful tornado that sent them airborne.

"Lunatic Dance!" Crescemon jumped up and slashed through the four of them, destroying them.

"What was that about?" Sayo asked. "They came out of nowhere." The ground then started shaking. Sayo yelped as she fell onto her hands and knees.

"Sayo!" Crescemon hurried over to her and helped her up.

"I'm fine." Just then something appeared in front of her. A giant Digimon in samurai armor, with silver hair and two swords.

"You've defeated my Tsukaimon… You're very skilled. Are you that Tamer I've been hearing about?"

Sayo gulped and shook her head. "I'm pretty sure you're mistaken…"

"A vast world this is indeed…You may not be that Tamer, but I've never knew there would be another with such skill…"

"That's the Tamer I was talking about."

Sayo jolted when she heard a familiar voice. The SkullBaluchimon she fought before approached. "You're…!"

"Let's dispose of this one now so we won't have too later!"

"That's right, boss! I've suffered because of this Tamer too!" Sayo looked behind her. Mercurimon approached next. "This Tamer got in the way of our business and stole our merchandise. Crush 'em to a pulp for us boss!"

"…Hmmm, so you are that Tamer." The Gaiomon growled as he stepped forward. "How dare you get in the way of us Kowloon Co from conducting business!"

Sayo gulped as she was surrounded. "Great…those two from before were enough to cause trouble. We've gotten stronger since then, but…this new one's power is on a whole other level…"

"Having trouble, Sayo? We're here to help!"

Sayo gasped in surprise. She knew that voice but wouldn't believe it until she turned around and saw a familiar Tamer hurrying over to her with his Digimon. "Koh?!"

Koh grinned as he casually walked up to them. "Ah, but I guess these guys are a piece of cake for Sayo of Night Crow!"

Sayo faintly chuckled. "Uh…sure. If you say so."

Gaiomon snarled. "Grrrr! How dare you insult us! Mercurimon! SkullBaluchimon! Take care of that obnoxious kid! I'll deal with the Tamer!"

"Just try!" MachGaogamon glared. "Winning Punch!"

Gaiomon blocked his fist with one of his swords. "Raging Flame!" His other blade came in and got a swipe at his chest.

"Power Cutter!"

"Lunatic Dance!" Crescemon and Lilamon charged in next.

"Double Blade!" Gaiomon swung his swords. He accurately blocked each hit Sayo's Digimon attempted.

"He's blocking every blow!" MachGaogamon growled. "They can't even land one hit on him!"

"He's a skilled sword fighter, that's for sure." Sayo nodded.

Gaiomon was soon on the offensive and blew Crescemon and Lilamon away. "Ha! Too easy!"

"He's so strong." Sayo said. "Our only hope is to outmaneuver him! MachGaogamon, circle him!"

"Okay!" MachGaogamon flew in circles around the enemy Digimon.

"Now!"

Crescemon and Lilamon jumped above him. "Big Ice Blast!"

"Lila Shower!" The two of them fired at Gaiomon from above.

"VolcanoNapalm!" Gaimon raised his swords and summoned bursts of flame that pierced through the attacks and blasted the female Digimon. He then swung them down and hit MachGaogamon as well.

Sayo's eyes widened. "What?!"

As Lilamon and Crescemon fell down towards Gaiomon, his blades glowed blue. "Rinkazan!" He swiped at both of them, batting them aside.

Koh wasn't fairing much better. He'd be able to take SkullBluchimon Mercurimon individually just fine but the two of them ganging up on him was proving to cause trouble. "Tch! This isn't good."

"Ha! Is that all you got kid?" SkullBaluchimon laughed.

"What happened to all that bravado?" Mercurimon kicked Flaremon to the ground.

"If this is the best the Union can do, no wonder it's falling apart." Gaiomon scoffed.

"Hey, don't make fun of the Tamer Union!" Sayo glared.

"Why? They claim to be the greatest protectors of this Digital World. And they best they can do is send a couple of kids to their doom? If the Union really is as strong as they pretend to be, why is it in such discord? We know about that scuffle between Night Crow and Light Fang."

"That's…"

"Can it! Someone is making Night Crow and Light Fang fight each other!"

Sayo turned around and looked at Koh. "What?"

"I've been thinking ever since you and I fought in Register Jungle…You never looked evil in my eyes. When Light Fang and Night Crow clashed, I only went along because I was worried about my friends…But when Gotomon got access to Night Crow's Quest server, and I found out you were still doing so much to help Digimon, I knew there was no way you or Night Crow could be as evil as Chief Glare said. And I know Chief Glare wouldn't want any harm to come to City either. One side with people I know and another side with people I trust. I struggled to come to a logical conclusion on who was in the wrong. That's when a third answer occurred to me. That there's a third party responsible for this!" He glared at the Digimon around him. "And right now, my money is on you guys."

"Bah! We couldn't care less of the Union." SkullBaluchimon replied.

"If you're not involved, how come you guys keep dropping P-D Word that can be used on the virus that attacked City?" Sayo asked.

"Virus?" Mercurimon asked. "Wait…could it be…?"

"I see." Gaiomon said. "So that was for the Union then."

"What are you talking about?" Sayo asked.

"Sorry, but that's Kowloon co business. We don't sell out our clients."

"Whoever you are, we won't let you get away with stirring chaos in Union City!" Koh yelled. Orange aura burst from his Digivice engulfing him.

"W-what's happening to him?!" SkullBaluchimon asked.

Sayo clutched her Digivice as it glowed. "That's right! We'll protect the order of the Digital World!" A purple aura surged around her.

"Her too?" Gaiomon murmured.

ULTIMATE EVOLUTION

Saoy spun around, holding her Digivice in her left hand and the aura around her traveling to her right. "DNA Charge!" She slammed her aura infused hand on top of her Digivice transferring the aura into it. "Overdrive!" She thrusted her Digivice towards Crescemon and the aura flew at her in a spiral.

"Crescemon Digivolve to…" A burst of light engulfed her, and she turned pure violet as she changed into a new form that slowly changed colors. A graceful figure in white armor with crescent moon shaped boots wielding a large dual edged weapon. "Dianamon!"

ULTIMATE EVOLUTION

"DNA Charge! Overdrive!" Koh mimicked Sayo's movements, transferring his aura into his Digivice and firing it at Flaremon.

"Flaremon Digivolve to…" The Digimon turned pure orange and morphed into a new shape. As color appeared on his body, he took the form of a humanoid lion with a golden maim, gauntlets with golden claws and a weapon emitting a nova on his back. "Apollomon!"

"Gah! They Digivolved!" Mercurimon yelped.

Appolomon roared as he charged at SkullBaluchimon and Mercurimon again.

Diamon twirled her weapon and rushed Gaiomon. "01 Crusher!"

"Double Blade!" Their weapons clashed, spraying sparks with each hit. Both perfectly praying each other's blows. That is until Dianamon leaned back and went under a horizontal swipe. She then got a good slash in on Gaiomon's chest knocking him back. "Gah! How can you have this power?!"

Dianmon spun her weapon around standing on one foot. "This is not my power alone. This power comes from my partner Sayo!"

"Soulblaster!" Channeling energy from the core on his back, Apollomon fired a blast of light that easily toppled SkullBaluchimon and Mercurimon.

"Gah! S-so strong…!" Mercurimon groaned.

Apollomon held out his hand with his palm aflame. "This is the power of Union City's Tamers. Don't underestimate us!"

"Rinkazan!" Giaomon's swords glowed blue as he rushed at Dianamon.

"Crescent Harken!" Dianamon's weapon glowed white as she charged. They clashed again. Each swing of Gaiomon's swords left a fiery trail. He swung both down at Dianamon who's weapon blocked both blades. She then pushed them upward and spun in plash getting a deep slash in on Gaimon who fell over.

"…This can't be! I, Gaimon…losing to this kid…" The Digimon disappeared.

"Are you alright, boss?!" SkullBaluchimon trembled.

"Boss, how could this be!" Mercurimon fled with his partner. All three Digimon left red objects behind.

"We did it!" Sayo said. "Cresc-I mean Dianamon, you were amazing!"

"Thanks to you Sayo."

"Phew. That was close…" Koh sighed.

"I'll say." Sayo nodded. "Thanks Koh, you got me out of a bind there."

"What are those things they dropped?" Angemon asked.

Sayo picked up the one Gaiomon left behind. "These are more P-D Word."

"You mentioned they were connected to the virus?" RiseGreymon asked.

"That's right." Lilamon nodded. "Using these, we were able to restore two of the Access Zones of Darkmoon City."

Koh picked up the other two. "Then maybe we can restore the Access Zones of Sineshine City too…"

Sayo looked at the P-D Word in her hand. She then walked over to Koh. "Here."

"Sayo?"

"You haven't restored any areas of Sunshine city yet have you? We already have two Access Zones of Darkmoon City running. We can manage for a while longer."

"Are you sure?" Koh asked. "You're letting me have all three of the P-D Word they dropped?"

"Sunshine City needs it more then Darkmoon right now." Sayo replied. "Besides, you saved me just now. I owe you."

"Thank you Sayo! Now we can restore the Access Zone of Sunshine City!"

"That's good to hear."

"I guess I misjudged you. Sorry! We're both Union Tamers so there's no way that you could be a bad person that would think of destroying City!"

"Tell me something. What's been going on in SineShine City?" Sayo asked.

"Our Chief Glare has been acting strongly lately…He suddenly started saying that City has been destroyed by a Night Crow conspiracy. Isn't it strange?"

"I see…"

"How's Chief Julia? Anything strange on your side?"

"…Yes. She and ChaosGallantmon have been acting weird since this mess started…I think what you said earlier is true."

"I see…I thought so…There must be someone trying to make us fight with each other! That must be why the chiefs are acting strangely!"

"Seems like it." Dianamon replied.

"But to what end?" Apollomon asked.

"Sayo, from now on let's work together!" Koh said.

"Huh?"

"Let's share information and find out who's behind all this!"

Sayo nodded. "Okay. Let's exchange email addresses on our digivices!"

After swapping email addresses Koh put the three P-D Word away in his digivice. "Well, I'll get back to Sunshine City now! See you Sayo! Thanks again for the P-D Word!"

"Be careful Koh." Sayo said as the boy left.

"So Light Fang is being manipulated by the enemy…" MachGaogamon said. "We should have known."

Sayo nodded. "I knew Koh couldn't be a bad person. I'm glad he doesn't think we're his enemies."

Lilamon giggled. "You sure sound happy about working with him."

Sayo jolted and her cheeks flushed pink. "S-so?! What's wrong with that?!" Her Digimon laughed.

"Anyway, in the end we found no leads to Chief Julia or ChaosGallentmon." Dianamon said.

"Maybe, but we did figure out that something is going on with Chief Glare." Sayo replied. "Let's report back to Raigo." They took the exit leaving Thriller Ruins.
