No timeskip this time. We pick up where we left off in Koh/Dawn perspective.
Some time had passed since Sayo helped Koh in Thriller Ruins and they agreed to help each other. His Apollomon, RiseGreymon, and MagnaAngemon followed him into the Union Room. Litton and Anubismon were there in place of the missing Chief Glare and Ophanimon. "Kudamon… Have you heard anything from Chief Glare?" Litton asked.
From the chief's home, his NaviDigimon was in contact with her. "No, nothing at all. I've been trying to contact him, but there's been no response."
Anubismon sighed. "CITY's communication system isn't fully restored, so that might be why we can't reach the chief or Ophanimon…"
"But it's not like him to stay out of touch this long…And he's never not kept in touch with me before…" Litton replied.
"…Don't worry. Chief Glare can handle himself. He's probably doing just fine."
Koh approached them. "Koh, you made it!"
Koh nodded. "Sorry for the wait."
Litton looked back at the monitor. "Kudamon… If you from Chief Glare, please let me know immediately."
"Understood. I'll let you know!"
"Please do! I'll be waiting!" Litton turned back to Koh. "I was talking to Chief Glare's NaviDigimon… But the problem is we haven't heard anything from the chief…"
"So as a Union Quest, we decided to conduct an investigation of the entire DigiArea." Anubismon replied.
"But… We haven't been able to gather any information."
"Koh, do you think you can cooperate with the other Tamer's and find out where the chief is?"
"Of course. I'm worried about the chief too." Koh replied.
"I'm counting on you." Litton replied.
Komachi and Pulsa were chatting when they noticed Koh come out of the Union Room. "Oh, Koh. Just who I wanted to see!" Komachi waved.
Koh approached them. "Hey guys, what's up?"
"You've taken on the quest to investigate the entire DigiArea, right?" Pulsa asked.
"Sure did." Koh replied.
"We also just took the quest and we just talked to Gideon…" Komachi said.
"Any luck?"
"It sounds like there are a few Tamers that haven't returned to CITY…" Pulsa replied.
Koh looked at him in surprise. "Really?"
"Something's definitely going on…"
"Tonpei's group is one of those that are missing…" Komachi replied.
"Oh no…" Koh murmured.
"We haven't seen Chief Glare in a while either…"
"Litton didn't tell you when she gave you the quest?"
MagnaAngemon nudged Koh and whispered. "She might be trying to limit that information to avoid a massive panic in SuneshineCITY, Koh…"
"Oh…"
"I wonder is the chief could be missing too?" Pulsa asked.
Koh looked around to make sure no one was around before looking back at his friends. "He is. Litton told me."
Both of them gasped. "Huh?! Chief Glare is missing?!" Komachi asked.
"Shhh!" Koh got his friends to quiet before checking again to make sure nobody heard that. "But yes. So's Ophanimon."
"Koh, how do you know that?!" Pulsa asked. "That's not fair!"
"Heh…I guess Litton decided since I've been involved with a lot of recent events that I should know."
"Pulsa… Being fair isn't relevant right now!" Komachi said.
"But…"
Komachi looked around. "This conversation is secret… Let's not talk here…"
"Huh? Then where should we talk? Not my place, it's a mess."
"I wouldn't go to your place filled with trash and roaches! What are you talking about!"
Pulsa sighed. "It's not that messy…"
Komachi ignored him. "Hey, Koh! Let's go to your place!"
The boy blinked. "Huh? Well, okay I guess."
"Let's invite Gideon also!" Pulsa said. "…I think we'd better let Gauh's team know also."
"Good idea."
"Let's all get together and talk at Koh's place!" Komachi said.
A few minutes later at Koh's home six Light Fang Tamers assembled. "Okay, that's everyone." Koh said.
"…So, we still have no leads on Chief Glare?" Komachi asked.
"Are there any leads at the chief's home?" Gaoh suggested.
"Not according to his NaviDigimon." Koh replied.
"I see…Let's get permission from the chief. We can't get in without the home address."
"The chief's the one who's missing, if we could ask him, we wouldn't need to search his home." Koh squinted.
Lyla sighed. "Yeah stupid! Besides, Litton already went to the chief's home and checked it out."
Goah looked at her. "Huh? How do you know Litton already went to the chief's place?"
"Woman's intuition of course! It's something you wouldn't understand!"
"What? What's that supposed to mean?!"
"Exactly my point!"
Komachi shook her head. "Anyway…We need to find a lead!"
"You're right... But where should we start looking?" Pulsa asked.
Gideon, who had yet to say anything thought a moment before suggesting something. "Koh, why don't you ask Sayo of Night Crow?"
Everyone looked at him. "Sayo?" Koh asked.
"Are you sure?" Komachi asked. "It's Night Crow. What if she's a spy? She's really strong…"
"I…I don't think she's an enemy." Koh said.
Everyone looked at him. "Koh, you said that when Night Crow was acting strangely, she was acting normally." Pulsa said. "We can find out about DarkmoonCITY also!"
"About that…" Koh said. "Well, Litton and I were keeping this to ourselves, but back when I was investigating Thriller Ruins, Sayo showed up and saved me from Kowloon Co. She told me that Chief Julia was acting strangely, and we decided to work together. I have her Email address, but I have yet to receive a message from her or send her one."
Everyone went quiet for a second. "We're just wasting our time like this." Lyla sighed.
Gaoh nodded. "You're right… We have no other options."
"Koh, why don't you contact her and meet her somewhere so you can talk." Gideon suggested.
"On it." Koh said holding his digivice.
"But where?" Komachi asked. "It needs to be a place that won't have any interruptions and be safe for us…"
The group thought a moment before Pulsa spoke up. "Let's get her to come here!"
"Wait, what?" Koh asked.
"That's ridiculous! Not here!" Komachi said. "She's Night Crow. She could be the enemy!"
"But there's probably no other place where it's safe and we won't be interrupted, not to mention we're already here."
"But…! It's dangerous…!"
Gideon pondered the thought. "Pulsa has a point… But it's Koh that has to make the choice."
Koh smiled. "Sayo should be fine! I'll send for her by Email!"
"I see… Thank you, Koh."
"Well then Koh, call for her right away." Pulsa said.
Koh finished his Email and sent it with his digivice. "Done."
"Now we just have to wait for Sayo to contact us…" Komachi said.
"She will. I know she will."
"You seem pretty confident about her." Lyla said.
"Like I said, she saved me, and I trust her." It wasn't much longer before Koh's digivice started beeping. "It's Sayo!"
"She replied already?" Pulsa asked. "Wow!"
"She said she's heading over here right now and will be here soon."
"She's coming right away?" Gaoh asked.
"Yup. Told you she'd come."
Gatomon, Koh's NaviDigimon approached. "Koh, Sayo asked for access, so I gave her the ok. Oh, hello everyone!"
"Thanks, Gatomon." Koh said.
"Hi Gatomon." Komachi smiled. "You're so cute as usual."
"Thank you. Please make yourself at home."
As Gaotomon left the gate glowed. Sayo appeared and nervously approached. "Hello…Everyone…"
"Thanks for coming so quick Sayo." Koh said before noticing her looking at his friends uneasily. "Don't worry, I told them about how you saved my neck at Thriller Ruins the other day."
"Okay…"
"Hello Sayo." Gideon said. "Thanks for coming. I'm Silver Tamer Gideon, of Light Fang."
"Hello Gideon." Sayo said.
"Please, come on in." Komachi smiled.
"Yeah! Don't be shy! Koh's home is a little dusty, but comfortable!" Pulsa said.
Koh glared at him. "Better my place then yours pal. Anyway, come on Sayo, don't be nervous. We're all friends here."
Sayo hesitantly stepped forward. "Thank you…" She walked over and stood next to Koh.
"She seems to be trusting of Koh." Gaoh whispered to Lyla.
"I'll say. I wonder if those two are…you know."
"Huh? What?"
Lyla sighed. "Never mind."
Everyone stood there in awkward silence before Gidon spoke. "On behalf of all Light Fang, we welcome you."
"Although it is just us." Gaoh muttered.
Everyone was struggling with what to ask her first until Pulsa blurted out "Hey, Sayo, we're in a real bind because our chief is missing. Even Tonpi's team is missing."
Koh and Sayo looked at him in surprise, Gaoh and Lyla did a take, Gideon slapped his forehead out of exasperation and Komachi scolded him. "Pulsa! Can you be more blunt?! What if she's actually a spy?!"
Pulsa twiddled his fingers. "Oh, yeah… Did I say too much?"
"Oh for- guys, Sayo's standing right here you know!" Koh said. "Besides, didn't I already go over this with you guys?"
"Opps! N-no offense or anything Sayo!" Komachi chuckled nervously.
"Sure…" Sayo muttered uncomfortably.
Everyone else sighed. "I'm sure it's not a problem." Gaoh said. "We wanted to ask her about that anyway."
"Exactly!" Koh said. "There's no point in trying to keep secrets from her!"
Gideon nodded. "Right… That's why we asked her here. Sayo… Have you heard any rumors about Chief Glare at Night Crow? Anything would help."
Sayo looked down. "Actually… I haven't been back to CITY lately…"
Everyone eyed her uneasily. "Why is that?" Komachi asked.
"Did something happen over there?" Koh asked.
"Lately all the Night Crow have been acting strangely…They stopped talking…and it's kind of creepy…" Sayo held her arm glancing to the side. "So, I'm afraid to go to CITY…"
"Is that so…" Gideon said. "Night Crow aren't normal either. This is very bizarre… There's more to this. It could have something to do with Chief Glare's disappearance."
"Sayo…" Koh was concerned with how frightened Sayo looked.
"How long ago did everyone start acting strangely?" Pulsa asked.
Sayo thought for a moment. "Umm… I'm not sure… Oh! I think Newton and Dorothy started acting strangely at Limit Valley. Yes… I remember! That's it! It was Limit Valley!"
"Limit Valley?" Komachi asked. "That DigiArea that appeared out of nowhere. That place is suspicious…"
"It's also where that weird creature appeared." Koh added looking at Gaoh and Lyla who nodded.
"We still don't know much about that DigiArea…" Gideon said. "There must be something there."
"Can you think of anything else?" Gaoh asked.
Sayo thought for a moment. "Well… Let's see… There are an awful lot of quests that go to Access Glacier…"
"Since when?" Koh asked.
"After the tournament. I've been busy so I haven't taken on a Union Quest, but…"
"Access Glacier?" Pulsa asked. "Hmm… Did it have a link with Suneshine?"
"Not that I know of." Koh replied. "Haven't been there before."
"No, the link isn't up yet…" Gideon said. "We need to talk to Litton about this."
Sayo grabbed her digivice. "Koh, I'll send you my digivice's ADRProtocol to your digivice! It'll give you a link to Access Glacier."
"Thanks, Sayo!" Koh said. Sayo made some inputs in her digivice and Koh's started glowing. He checked it. "Alright!"
"Thank you Sayo." Gideon said. "I'm glad we talked to you. Now, I'll go report this to Litton."
"Then Pulsa and I will go investigate Limit Valley." Komachi said.
"Just be careful out there you two." Koh said.
"Then we'll go look for Tonpei's team." Gaoh said.
"There's still much to do." Lyla said.
"I'll go to CITY and try to gather some more information." Sayo said.
"Are you sure?" Koh asked. "Aren't you worried?"
"I can't afford to be a coward here! There's too much at stake!"
"Thanks, Sayo, but don't overexert yourself." Gideon said.
Sayo nodded. "Don't worry, I can take care of myself."
"Well Koh, I want you to go check out Access Glacier! Let's make good use of the information Sayo gave us."
"Leave it to me."
"Be careful everyone! Dismissed!"
As the Tamers left Koh grabbed Sayo's arm before she could leave. "Sayo, can I talk to you for a moment?"
"Huh? Sure, I guess."
Koh waited for the rest of the Tamers to leave. Komachi noticed them and Lyla whispered into her ear. The two girls giggled as they left Koh's Tamer Home. Once Koh was alone with Sayo he spoke. "I…I just wanted to thank you for helping us, I really appreciate it. I'm sorry if being surrounded by Light Fang was…intimidating."
"We'll…I guess I was a bit nervous, but they weren't acting funny like Night Crow. Besides, they seem like a good people…despite their quirks."
Koh chuckled. "Yeah. I think so too."
"Say, can I ask you something?"
"Sure."
"What exactly happened at Register Jungle?"
"Huh? Oh, well…We ran into one of your fellow Tamers. He attacked me, and when I beat him, he sounded like he woke up or something and ran off. Then I found Newton who was acting weird. When we beat him, we said his head hurt and ran off, so I chased to the gate when he sounded like he was ready to attack me again. Then you showed up and…well, you know the rest."
"I see." Sayo said. "From what I saw I thought you were attacking Newton…I'm sorry Koh, I feel really bad for accusing you like that."
"Hey, don't worry about it. It's fine."
Sayo smiled. "But…I'm glad I was wrong. With all of Night Crow acting funny, including Chief Julia, I'm happy to know there's someone I can trust."
Koh smiled back. "Me too."
Gatomon came back. "Oh, Koh. Did everyone leave?" She looked at Sayo. "Oh, hi! You must be Sayo! I'm Gatomon, Koh's NaviDigimon!"
"Hello." Sayo waved.
Gatomon smiled. "Aww! You got a cute girlfriend there Koh!"
Both Tamer blushed. "G-g-girl-
Koh started waving his hands. "It's not like that! We're just friends, allies, comrades, stuff like that!"
"Y-yeah, it's nothing like that!" Sayo added.
Gatomon giggled. "Right. My mistake. Anyway, be careful you two."
"R-right… Well, I'll see you later Koh, good luck." Sayo awkwardly replied before walking to the exit.
"Y-yeah, you too." Koh replied. After she left, he took off himself. "Okay, next stop, Access Glacier!"
His Digimon came out of his digivice. "Right." Apollomon replied. "Let's get going."
Okay, two things I'd like to explain here. Some of you who have played Digimon World Dusk may know that even when you get to the Legendary Tamer Quest, Koh will have ShineGreymon and Apollomon but for some baffling reason his Angemon never Digivolves. At all. So I suppose it would make sense to have Koh's MagnaAngemon go back to being Angemon next chapter when we go to Digimon World Dusk prospective, but switching back and forth sounds like it will be annoying for me, and confusing for you guys, so yeah. Koh's Angemon is going to stay Digivolved in this story even though it never did in Dusk.
Secondly, I already brought this up in the recent chapter of Cyber Ranger Guardian Story The Next Heroes, but I will not be able to upload next Sunday, so I'm going to try to upload next Saturday instead. Key word being "try". Uploading Next Heroes is a higher priority for me then uploading this, so I can't promise chapter 5 will be up by next week. Which case it will be uploaded two weeks from now.
