After discussing what happened at Access Glacier with Chief Glare and getting his reward from the Quest Center, Koh went straight back to his Tamer Home. He walked over to his Farm PC and checked it. "Looks like Sayo already put her Digimon in our Island. Why don't you three keep them company?"
"Not a bad idea." MagnaAngemon replied.
"Maybe we can spar with them." ShineGreymon suggested. "We could all use some extra training for what's coming, and as far as worthy opponents go, we won't get much better than them."
"You should go find Sayo." Apollomon said. "Who knows how uneasy she must be feeling right now."
"Yeah…" Koh plugged his digivice in and transferred his three Digimon. He then climbed up a nearby ladder and approached his NaviDigimon who was sitting at her desk. "Hey Gatomon, I'm back."
She spun around on her seat. "Hi Koh! Sayo got here just a while ago. She told me what happened. I'm glad you're okay. And that you found Chief Glare and Ophanimon! Great job!"
"Thanks. Where's Sayo right now?"
"She's down the ladder next to your bed. She's sure been quiet. Can't say I blame her. She must be worried sick about her friends."
"Yeah…I'll go see if I can comfort her."
"Aww, what a gallant boy you are! Well, I'll leave you to it!"
Koh walked past his bed and climbed down a ladder. He found Sayo sitting down and leaning against a palm tree with her knees tucked into her chest. "Hey, Sayo."
Sayo looked a bit startled to see him but waved. "Koh, I'll stay here with you for a while."
"Of course. Make yourself at home." He sat down next to her.
Sayo smiled looking at the view of the sea with the setting sun. "This place is just like my Tamer Home. I guess we have similar tastes." Sayo then looked down sadly. "…I hope Phascomon is okay…I messaged him to lock himself in the Tamer Home and not let anyone in…"
Koh looked at her sadden expression. "So how are you holding up?"
"I'm fine, just…nervous, I guess. When I confronted that creature and got captured, I was kind of scared…Thanks again for saving me back there."
"Thank you for helping us." Koh replied gently putting a hand on her shoulder. "Sayo, I won't pretend to know what it is you're feeling right now. I was worried when Chief Glare and Tonpei's team went missing but…I guess that's nothing compared to what's happening with Night Crow…All of your friends…"
Sayo shook her head. "Not just friends. Night Crow is like a family to me…"
"I get that. I feel the same way about Light Fang."
Sayo leaned her face against her knees. "If only I noticed what was going on sooner…Maybe I could have saved someone…But now here I am hiding in rival territory while they all suffer…I'm a coward."
"That's not true!" Koh replied. "Sayo, you're easily one of the strongest Tamers I know! The fact that you're willing to reach out to your rival for help for the better good proves that! That takes courage!"
"Koh…"
"And hey, I'd never turn you down in a moment of need like this! And I bet if I were in a situation like yours, you'd be willing to take me in too!"
"Of course, I would Koh. It's part of my duty to help people. And besides…you're more than just a rival to me…" She shifted her face away so Koh wouldn't catch her blushing. "You're my friend."
Koh smiled. "Thanks, Sayo. You're an important friend to me too." When he saw Sayo smile herself he was sure she was starting to feel better. "We'll save everyone on Night Crow. I promise."
"Thank you, Koh."
Koh stood up. "But for now, it's getting late."
Sayo noticed the sky got darker while they were talking. "Oh. Do you have a second mattress around here?"
"Yeah. But I'll use it. You can take the bed."
"Huh? I can't do that, it's your Tamer Home."
"Exactly." Koh said as he climbed up the ladder. "And you're my guest."
Sayo smiled as she stood up. "Thank you, Koh."
Koh rushed over to the closet and pulled out a mattress behind him. He looked back into the closet and threw a pillow over his shoulder. Just when he took a comforter out, he felt a tap on his shoulder. "Hmm?" He turned around and saw Sayo holding the pillow he took out. "What's up Sayo?"
The Night Crow Tamer held up the pillow. "Would you like to explain throwing this into my face?"
Koh shuddered. The was sure he threw it onto the mattress, but apparently, he threw too hard while Sayo was right behind him. "S-sorry! It was an accident!"
Sayo smirked. "Oh, I'm sure. Opps!" She smacked him in the face with the pillow so hard he fell on his rear.
Koh reached into the closet. "I do hope you realize Night Crow, that this means war." He stood up with another pillow in hand and hit Sayo with it.
Gatomon was sitting at her chair and talking at her computer. "Don't worry Chief Glare, it sounds like Koh and Sayo are getting along just fine." She heard laughter and looked over her shoulder to see Koh and Sayo having a pillow fight. "Ha, ha, ha! I don't think I've seen Koh have that much fun in a long time!"
"I'm glad to hear. Let's let them enjoy the evening off. They earned it."
"I agree."
After slapping each other with pillows for another few minutes. Then Sayo darted off with Koh in hot pursuit. Sayo jumped down to the lower lever where the PCs were. She turned around when Koh jumped after her swinging his pillow down at her. She tried to block it but the force of the hit knocked her pillow out of her hands and onto the floor. She was going to try to grab it when she heard Koh shout "Freeze!" as he held his pillow right in front of her face. "Hands up!" Sayo slowly straightened up and put her hands behind her head. "Ha! Not so cocky now that you're defenseless are ya!"
Sayo grinned. "Oh, I don't know if I'm completely defenseless."
"Huh?" With no warning Sayo pounced into Koh like a panther. Koh was so surprised he dropped the pillow as they rolled on the floor. Next thing he knew he was flat on his back with Sayo hovering over him. "What are you- Sayo's fingers slipped under his vest and danced on the surface of his red t shirt right over his ribs. "Ack!" Koh tried to look away.
Sayo stared at his face as he started grinning against his will. "Oh? Is somebody a little ticklish?" She continued as he tried to pull her arms away, but she simply batted them aside and continued tickling his ribs. "No use trying to suppress it Koh. Gatomon told me."
"G-Gatomon you traitor!" Koh grunted before he broke. "Hehehehe!"
"Coochie-coochie-coo!" Sayo teased. She rolled up Koh's t shirt up enough to expose his midriff and started tickling his belly.
"Cut that ou-hohohohot! Ahahahahahaha!" Koh grabbed Sayo's wrists but he was too weak to pull her hands off him and his legs flailed wildly behind her. "Stahahahahahap!"
Sayo stopped for a moment. "Weeeell, if you surrender, I might consider letting you off easy."
Koh had to catch his breath before answering. "Ha…ha…Light Fang…never…surrenders…"
"Aw, that's too bad. Guess I have to keep tickling you~!" Sayo giggled before getting back to tormenting Koh.
"N-no, wait! Ah! HAHAHAHAHA!" Koh was trapped in a ticklish frenzy for the next couple of minutes.
Sayo on her part was taking joy in listening to his forced laughter. "Oh, wow, are those tears?" Sayo grinned. "You poor ticklish little boy!" After a while she gave him a break and he collapsed breathing heavily until it slowed down a little. "Opps. Guess I over did it." Sayo stood up. "Better get Gatomon." She walked over to the wall and grabbed the ladder. She didn't even get her other foot on the ladder before arms wrapped around her and pulled her off it. "YEEEK! HEY!"
Koh turned them around and sat down, dragging her down with him. "Got you didn't I?"
"You were faking?! Cheater!" Sayo squirmed in Koh's grip, but his arms were pinning hers to her sides.
"All's fair in love and war Night Crow!" Koh wrapped his legs around her, pinning her close and keeping her arms trapped. "Now let's see if you're as ticklish as me!" His hands went under her jacket and his fingers went for her sides.
"H-hey! No! Heh, heh, heh!" Sayo started giggling.
"Welp! That answers my question!"
"Ah, ha, ha, ha, ha! HAHAHAHAHAHA!" Sayo's shoes kicked against the floor as she flailed her legs and tried to pull her arms free. Koh didn't just torment her sides. His fingers skittered at her ribs, belly and even her neck. Koh was laughing again just listening to her forced laughter. After a couple of minutes Sayo cave in. "Okay, you win! I give! Mercy! Mercyhehehehe!"
By the time he finally stopped Sayo's face was red and stained with tears. He gently laid her on the floor. He then laid down. He was still tired from his own laughter. "Ah…ha…This makes three times I beat you…" Koh grinned.
"Yeah…well…I'll beat you someday, just you wait!"
The two of them giggled. They didn't even notice Gatomon looking at them from the floor above. She tossed two blankets down and jumped to the lower floor. "You two look like you're having fun."
"Oh… Hey Gatomon." Koh breathed still rather winded. He watched Gatomon unroll the blankets out. One next to him, the other next to Sayo. "Uh, where's the mattress?"
Gatomon walked over to Koh. "Oh, better take these off before doing this so I don't scratch you." She took her clawed gloves off and put them onto the floor before nudging Koh and rolling the exhausted boy onto the blanket.
Koh saw her fold the end of said blanket over him and then proceeded to roll him down it, wrapping him up in it. "Uh, Gatomon? What are you doing?"
Once Koh was completely wrapped, she went over to Sayo and rolled her over to the other blanket and started wrapping her up. "Hey…" Sayo tried to resist but she was too tired.
"Keep still, this'll be quick!" Gatomon giggled as she finished rolling Sayo up in the blanket and rolled her next to Koh. The two tried wriggling out of their cocoons, but they were wrapped rather tightly.
As Koh squirmed, he noticed his feet were still sticking out the other end. But aside from that and his head, he was completely covered. As was Sayo. They looked at each other uneasily and then Koh felt something grab his foot. He looked down to see Gatomon yank his shoe off. "Uh, Gatomon?" When Koh's NaviDigimon grabbed his other shoe, he tried to wiggle his foot out of her grasp, but it's didn't stop her from pulling it off. Now both his shoes lay discarded on the floor. "Put those back on."
"Nope!" Gatomon then went over to Sayo.
Sayo tried to move her feet away from the mischievous Digimon, but her ankles were pinned together by her cocoon. Gatomon plucked her shoes off one after the other, leaving them on the floor next to Koh's. "Seriously, what are you doing?" Sayo asked.
Koh gulped as he looked at the cat Digimon's smile. "No."
"Yes." Gatomon replied as her tail fluttered in the air. Before it went to Koh's feet and brushed them.
Koh's eyes squeezed shut as he started grinning again. "Tee heh…"
As Gatomon's tail tickled Koh she reached to Sayo's feet with her paws. "Don't worry Sayo, haven't forgotten about you!"
Sayo's lip quivered as her stockings didn't do any more to protect her feet then Koh's socks. "No…Stop that!"
It didn't take long for Koh and Sayo to burst into laughter. "Gahahahatohohohomoahahahan!" Koh chuckled. Thrashing madly under the blanket wasn't helping him escape.
"Hahahahaha! Kn-knock it oahahahaff!" Sayo begged. No matter how much she tried to move her feet those paws kept teasing them.
"Why? This is fun!" Gatomon giggled. "Besides, you two let yourselves get caught in my trap, you have to pay the price!"
She paused letting the Tamers catch their breath. They were already at tears again. "Y-you got us while we were tired!" Koh protested.
Sayo thought a moment. "W-wait a second…Did you tell me about Koh's ticklishness…just to get me to soften him up?"
"You got it!" Gatomon replied. "At first, I was hoping you'd tire him out and maybe we could do this to him together, but I wasn't expecting you to be as ticklish as him. Actually, I think you're even more ticklish!"
Sayo blushed. "I am not!"
Koh grinned at her. "Oh really? Then how come I won our little tickle war just now?"
Gatomon smirked smugly at him. "I don't think you're looking like a winner right now Koh. But thanks to you Sayo was worn out too so I could capture you both! Two for one!"
"We'll get out of this you know!"
"Not if you're too tired from laughing!" Gatomon giggled poking at Koh and Sayo's feet again making them squeal. "Now sit tight while I go find my brush!"
Sayo watched Gatomon climb up the ladder and leave. She glanced at Koh. "Does she normally do this stuff to you?"
Koh looked away embarrassed. "More often than I'd like to admit."
"I usually do this to get his lazy butt out of bed!" Gatomon hollered from where she was in the distance.
"Awww!" Sayo laughed as Koh looked away with his face flushing red. "I guess when push comes to shove, we're both still kids huh?"
Koh chuckled. "Yeah…I guess… And yet the Digital World is still counting on us."
Sayo smiled. "We'll find a way to stop the enemy. I know we will."
"First we need to find a way out of this." Koh replied, looking down at the blanket wrapped around him. "Any ideas?"
Sayo grunted as she tried to wriggle out again to no avail. "Nope. I'm stuck."
Koh keep squirming. "I think one of my arms is getting lose…"
"Good, because mine are falling asleep."
Gatomon returned with a couple of brushes. One was Koh's hairbrush the other she used for grooming her fur. "I'm baaaaack~! Wanna guess what these are for?"
Sayo gulped as Koh quickened his struggles. "Any chance we can talk you out of this?"
"Nope! Tickle time!" Gatomon proceeded to rub the brushes against Koh and Sayo's feet.
"NOHOHOHOHOHO!" Both of them screamed in ticklish laughter.
Gatomon was so distracted by their laughing fit, she didn't notice Koh's thrashing about was slowly making room in the blanket wrap for his arm to move. Once it was out, he pulled the blanket down to free himself from the waist up and grabbed Gatomon. "Gotchya!"
"EEP!"
Koh stood up, holding Gatomon by the arms. "Looks like I'm the winner after all!" He looked at Sayo who was gasping for air. "Now what to do with you…"
Sayo looked at his mischievous grin. "Please no…"
"Ha, ha! Relax Sayo, you already gave in. I'll cut you a break." He held Gatomon with one arm and with he other rolled Sayo across the floor until she was unwrapped.
"Thanks…" Sayo sat up.
"Don't mention it." Koh said as he held up Gatomon by the arms. "Shall we get our payback now?"
Gatomon flailed her little legs about. "Wait, we can talk this out!"
Sayo picked up the brushes Gatomon dropped. "After what you just put us through? I think not. Bad kitty." She started rubbing the brush against Gatomon's small feet.
"EEP! No! Hahahahaha! S-stop that!"
"And you think we're ticklish!"
For the next two or three minutes Koh held onto Gatomon so she wouldn't escape Sayo as she scribbled her feet with the brush while using her other hand to tickle the Digimon's belly. "HAHAHAHA! Stop! Mercy! I'm sorryhehehehe!"
"Okay, I think she's had enough." Sayo said smiling proudly.
Koh put Gatomon down and looked at the sky. "Wow. It's getting late. I guess we should turn in." He and Sayo picked up their shoes as Gatomon laid down to catch her breath before putting her gloves back on.
Back in the upper level Koh laid out a mattress and put one of the pillows he and Sayo were flailing at each other down and one of the blankets Gatomon wrapped them with and set himself in. "Goodnight Sayo. Gatomon."
Sayo sat down on the bed before tucking herself in. "Goodnight. And thanks again Koh."
"Try not to sleep in!" Gatomon said. "You two know now what I'll do to get you up if you do!"
Koh closed his eyes. Tomorrow he would focus on how to save Night Crow for Sayo's sake. And the Digital World. But for now, he would rest.
