Dianamon was the first to come out of the other end of the portal with Koh behind her. She firmly held the end of the glowing rope that bound Koh securely.
Koh felt tense from this situation. And it didn't help that he couldn't even speak to Dianamon or even see what was happening around him. If he knew mouthing off to WaruSeadramon was going to annoy him into adding a blindfold and gag to his restraints he would have kept his mouth shut. Even if it was just pretend, this situation was all kinds of embarrassing. And he could tell Sayo was having fun tying him up like this. Especially given when she was done, she smiled and sai. "Prisoner Koh's ready for delivery~!" and that when he accused her of enjoying it she smiled, playfully tapped him on his noise and replied with "Maybe".
But what really occupied his mind was that before he left, Sayo gave him a hug. And how she told him to be careful and begged him to save her chief and her friends. She even entrusted her digivice, Dianamon And Night Crow-her family to him. He knew he couldn't let her down…
"charge at sunshine city aNd destroy evEvretHing… DEfeaT aNyonE tHat DefY uS…"
"Awaiting orders from…Chief Julia…"
"Attack SunshineCITY…"
Koh shivered and snapped out of his thoughts as he heard voices around him. They were all Night Crow Tamers controlled by the enemy.
"HaLt…IdenTifiCaTion rEQuiRed…"
"I am Dianamon. One of Sayo's Digimon."
"Sayo…AnAlysis coMplEte…SaYo of NIGht FAng. STatUS MIA."
"We were investigating the DigiArea to find a lead on what Light Fang was up to." Dianamon replied. "But we were ambushed and taken to SunshineCity as prisoners at this Tamer's home. He had Sayo tied to a chair the whole time with us locked in her digivice…Until Sayo slipped out of the rope during an interrogation and knock him out."
Koh wanted to groan. He knew it was part of the plan, but she was making him sound like a bad guy! And then he could feel the Night Crow's gaze on him.
"AnYlYsing…KOH of Light fAng…"
"We took Koh to the bridge and were going to get back to DarkmoonCity with him as a prisoner, but we were ambushed." Dianamon said. "Sayo told me to take Koh to Chief Julia and ChaosGallantmon before she got caught again…"
"…UnderSTood…BrING Koh to UniON rOOm…"
"Attack SuneshineCITY…"
"Awaiting orders from…Chief Julia…"
"Roger." Dianamon said before giving Koh's leash a tug. "Start walking Light Fang!" Koh nearly fell over as he was jerked forward. He did his best to keep up as he was marched away. Dianamon looked behind her to make sure the Tamers were out of earshot before whispering to Koh. "Sorry about that. It looks like it worked. Once we get to the Union Room, I'll free you and we'll face ChaosGallentmon and Chief Julia together. Should be easy with all the Tamers out here." Koh nodded. They continued their walk to the gate room. "There it is, that gate will take us to DarkmoonCity." They came to a halt before Koh heard the familiar sound of a teleporter. Dianamon led him into DarkmoonCity. "Here we are…It's quiet. Too quiet."
They walked past A BishipChessmon and RookChessmon were standing like statues at the gate. "Waiting for an order from…ChaosGallantmon…"
Dianamon was about to head south when someone called out to her. "Dianamon…"
She saw a man with red hair approach her with three other Tamers. "Raigo. Gutts, Ponch, Barone. I thought all the Tamers were gathering at the bridge…"
"Awaiting orders from Chief Julia…Error. Sayo, not detected."
Ponch stared at Koh. "Analysing…Subject confirmed as Koh of Light Fang."
"It's kind of a long story." Dianamon replied "Sayo got captured by this Tamer in the Digi Area. We escaped with him in tow, but Sayo got caught again before she could pass through to our side. I'm going to take him to Chief Julia, and-
"Denied." Raigo said. "You will go back for Sayo. I will take the Light Fang Tamer."
"Sayo told me to make sure he gets to the chief personally, I must-
"You are not to make that decision. You shall retrieve Sayo before she can give Light Fang information…" Raigo stepped towards Koh. Dianmon stepped between them. "Error. Threat detected." Raigo took out his Digivice and his Zanbamon appeared. "Give me the Tamer…or I will destroy you with it."
Dianamon looked at him in the eye and then the other tamers behind her. She tossed her weapon into the air and snapped her fingers. Koh's binds, blindfold and gag disintegrated. He jumped back and grabbed his digivice. "Apollomon! ShineGreymon! Seraphimon! Realize!" His three Digimon appeared.
"Emergency purge initiated…" Gutts, Ponch and Barone took out their digivices as well. Gutt's Cherrymon, Ponch's MetalGarurumon, and Barone's Volcanomon appeared.
Dianamon caught her weapon and got into a fighting stance. "So much for our plan."
"It came from WaruSeadramon, what did you expect?" Koh asked.
"Terminate." Raigo ordered.
Dianamon charged towards Zanbamon. "Draining Whip." Cherrymon shot vines at her from her left that tied her up. It pulled her in and threw her atop it's greenery covered head. Dianamon tried to break free, but more vines tied her limbs further and started draining her energy.
"Dianamon!" Apollomon was about to rush to her aid, when Zanbamon rushed in to attack.
"Crescent Cutter!" Apollomon barely had time to block his swords with his gauntlets.
"Big Bang Tackle!" Volcanomon charged at ShineGreymon.
"Burst Tackle!" ShineGreymon charged as well, and they rammed into each other violently.
"Giga Missile!" MetalGarurumon shot a missile from his chest.
"Seven Heavens!" Seraphimon fired seven golden orbs that collided with the attack and exploded. While the smoke was up he shot another attack. "Fatal Cannon!"
Apollomon managed to push Zanbamon's blades away and kick him back. "Burst Breath!" He turned at Cherrymon and shot a burst of flame that weakened it. Dianamon saw her opportunity and was able to flail her legs enough to shake the vines off them. She then lifted her feet up and kicked her heeled boots into Cherrymon's head damaging it enough to free her arms and slash the rest of the vines off her with her weapon. She flew above it. "Crazy Ice Blast!" A burst of ice knocked Cherrymon out. When Znabamon knocked Apollomon over he tried stomping on him, but Apollomon caught his front legs. Dianamon then charged in and kicked Zanbamon from the side knocking him off Apollomon. "Mind if I join you?"
"By all means." Apollomon replied getting up.
"ShineGreymon, use his momentum against him!" Koh said.
ShineGreymon was still grappling with Volcanomon when her grabbed him and threw it over his shoulder slamming it into the ground. He spun it around and threw it into the air. "Glorious Burst!"
"Serpahimon, get MetalGarurumon in there!"
Seraphimon saw ShineGreymon charging and grabbed MetalGarurumon and threw it into Volcanomon as it came down. ShineGreymon unleashed his attacking taking them both out in one hit.
Zanbamon held up his larger sword. "Slicing Slash!" He brought it down towards Dianamon and Apollomon. The two Digimon evaded before closing in on his left and right. Dianamon slamming her knees into his right and Apollomon punching him in his left. They both backflipped a safe distance before attacking.
"Crescent Harken!" Dianamon dashed through him, slashing him with her weapon elegantly. She landed next to Apollomon as he charged up.
"Solblaster!" He fired a powerful ray onto Zanbamon finishing him off.
"Error…" Raigo backed up.
"Error…" Gutts and Ponch stepped back.
Barone looked at Dianamon and Apollomon. Then at Koh. "…Sayo? …Koh? …ugh…uggh… I don't know… …Waiting for an order from Chief Julia…"
Koh looked at her. "Huh? Did she just…"
Apollomon heard noises. "Koh, we got more trouble." Dorothy, Newton and Spike approached from one direction towards them. Sukikiyo and Kakumi from another. The two Chessmon approached from behind.
"This…is not the best position to be in." Koh murmured.
"At this rate, we'll never get to Chief Julia!" Dianamon said.
"We need a plan." Seraphimon said.
"I think I got one." Koh said.
"Let's hear it, quickly." ShineGreymon replied.
The Tamers surrounded them as Koh whispered. "Sayo's Digimon betrayed Night Crow and brought Light Fang here. Destroy them." Raigo ordered.
"Affirmative." The Chessmon aimed at them.
"Now!" Koh yelled.
Apollomon, ShineGreymon, and Seraphimon spread out and attacked. "Solblaster!"
"Glorious Burst!"
"Seven Heavens!" Their three attacks collided, unleashing a powerful light, blinding Night Crow. When it eventually died down, they looked up. Koh, his Digimon and Dianamon were gone.
"Target lost…" Dorothy said.
"…Waiting for an order from Chief Julia…" Sukikiyo muttered.
All of the Tamers stood there for a moment. "…Waiting for an order from Chief Julia…" They all then left in separate directions.
Koh was hiding behind a statue watching Newton pass. "This is crazy. All of Darkmoon is under Chrono control." He looked at his Digivice where all his Digimon and Dianamon were stored. "Dianamon, where's the Union Room?"
"At the far south of the city. From what I gathered during my time in Suneshine, Darkmoon is modeled just like it, only in reverse."
"Just up ahead then." Koh poked his head out and made sure nobody was around before sneaking through to Dark Office. "Uh, oh…"
"What is it?" ShineGreymon asked.
Koh looked at a series of hexagons blocking the way. "Looks like they set up some kind of barrier in front of the Union Room. We can't get in!"
"What?!" Dianamon asked.
Apollomon groaned. "Now what do we do?"
"Koh, it isn't safe here." Seraphimon said. "All of Night Crow could be hunting for us. We need to hide."
"Hide where?" Koh asked. "The entire city's been overrun!"
Dianamon pondered. "There may be one place we can hide for a bit…"
"Really? Where?"
"Sayo's Tamer Home."
"Oh yeah. She mentioned she had her NaviDigimon lock it down. They might not have attacked it yet."
"But that also means we can't get in, doesn't it?" Apollomon asked.
"Maybe not. Koh has Sayo's Digivice. If Phascomon notices it attempting to gain access, he should let us in. He'd never lock Sayo out of her home."
"Sounds like a plan." Koh said. "Um…if DarkmoonCity is SunshineCity in reverse, then the gate for Tamer homes is…north."
"Exactly. On the other side of the city."
"Okay, let's go." Koh turned around and headed back.
Koh carefully snuck through Darkmoon City to get to the market, and soon spotted the gate. Hiding at the side of the store he looked around to make sure nobody would stop him and made a mad dash for the gate. He stood on it and took Sayo's Digivice out of his pocket. "I sure hope this works…"
"Come on Phascomon…" Dianamon murmured.
Koh suddenly was enveloped in light. He found himself standing in a Tamer Home. "Did it work?"
"SAYOOOOOO!" A small, black Digimon hurried towards the gate. "Thank goodness you're okay, I- He stopped when he stood in front of Koh and backed up. "EEP! Y-you're not Sayo! How did you-
Dianamon came out of Koh's Digivice. "Phascomon, calm down, he's with me."
"That voice…Crescemon? Is that you?"
"It is. I Digivolved into Dianamon since Sayo last came home."
"But if you're here, where's Sayo?!"
"She's safe in SunshineCity." Koh replied.
"Don't worry, MirrageGaogamon and Lotosmon are still with her." Dianamon replied. "She gave Koh her Digivice to access Darkmoon City."
Phascomon looked at him. "So you're Koh of Light Fang? Sayo told me a lot about you. Nice to meet you at last!"
"Same." Koh nodded. "Sayo wanted to come back, but I didn't want her to have to fight her friends here, so I came here instead."
"Fight her friends? You mean Night Crow?" Phascomon asked. "Sayo suddenly stopped coming home saying everyone in Darkmoon was acting strange and sent me a message to lock myself in the Tamer Home. What's happening out there?"
"It's kind of a long story." Koh replied.
"Well, come inside and we'll talk about it."
As Phascomon lead them in, Koh looked around. "Sayo's right, her Tamer Home is just like mine. I guess we do have similar tastes."
"Does this mean she's you type?" Dianamon smirked.
Apollomon, ShineGreymon and Seraphimon chuckled as Koh looked at her with his face beat red. "Where did that come from?!"
"Is something wrong?" Phascomon asked.
"N-nothing!" Koh hurried after him.
Phascomon sat on his chair and slid up another for Koh to site on. Dianamon and his Digimon stood behind him as he explained the situation as quickly as he could.
"…So, Dianamon thought we could hide here since I have Sayo's Digivice and here we are."
"Goodness me. It sounds like you and Sayo went through a lot. And to think something so terrible could happen to Chief Julia and ChaosGallantmon! I wish I could have helped somehow…" Phascomon sighed.
"You can start now." ShineGreymon replied. "We need a way past that barrier in front of the gate to the Union Room. Got any ideas?"
"Hmm…" Phascomon looked down and thought deeply for a moment. "I bet the Tamers currently under their control have a means to access the Union Room."
"Seems likely." Seraphimon replied. "What if they needed to report something to Chief Julia?"
"So, what? We just go up to one of them and ask?" Apollomon asked. "We'll be captured on the spot."
"I just thought of something." Koh said. "That girls we faced earlier, the one with the Volcanomon…"
"Barone?" Dianamon asked.
"Yeah. Didn't it seem like she was trying to fight Chrono's control over her?"
"Come to think of it…" ShineGreymon muttered.
"So, you think she might help us?" Apollomon asked.
"It's a stretch…But I'd say it's our best hope." Koh replied. "We need to find a way to talk to her alone…"
"That won't be easy, the moment someone spots you, Night Crow will come running just like last time." Dianamon replied.
"Perhaps I can help." Phascomon went over to his computer and started typing. "Koh, may I see you're digivice for a moment?"
"Uh, sure."
"Thanks. Let's see. A little bit of this…alter that…aaaaaand done!" Phascomon handed Koh hid digivice.
Koh looked at the screen. "Night Crow camo?" He pressed the button and the screen glowed purple. His clothes and hair slowly changed colors. His hair and eyes went blue, his vest and pants turned black. His undershirt, goggles and the bandana around his arm turned purple and his shoes became black and blue. "What the-?
"There you go! With this, the Night Crow Tamers will think you're one of them!"
Dianamon giggled. "I think that's a good look on you Koh."
"Really? Just like that? Won't they get suspicious if they don't recognize me?"
"Not to worry!" Phascomon replied. "That did more than just change your look! It also modified your physical data so any scan would make them think you're Sayo! All you need to do is hold onto her digivice and keep Dianamon with you!"
"Wait, what?" Koh asked. "There's no way anyone would think I'm Sayo, I look and sound nothing like her!"
"Well…" Apollomon murmured. "From what they were mumbling it seems like they weren't identifying you by appearance or voice…"
"But-
"Trust me, this'll definitely work!" Phascomon said. "But if you're really going to fight Chief Julia and ChaosGallantmon be extra careful. They're stronger than you can imagine."
"Thank you, Phascomon." Apollomon bowed.
"After all you've done for Sayo, this is the least I can do. Please save Night Crow. We're counting on you."
Koh sighed as he put his Digivice in his pocket and Sayo's around his neck. "I'll do my best. Stay here and keep the Tamer Home locked."
Koh emerged from the Tamer Home and back into DarkmoonCity. Dianamon stayed close behind him. "Are we sure this'll work?" Koh whispered.
"Phascomon wouldn't say it will if he wasn't sure. Trust him."
Spike spotted them and approached. Koh stood perfectly still. "No way this is gonna work…"
Spike eyes the Digivice around his neck. "Sayo, ID confirmed… Sayo… Comparing… Confirmed." He then walked away. "…Waiting for an order from Chief Julia…"
Koh stood there and blinked. "No way. I cannot believe this worked. Someone wanna tell me how this worked?!"
"Don't question good fortune." Dianamon replied. "Come on. We need to find Barone."
A few moments later, Koh spotted Barone in Dark Square. "There she is." Koh said.
"We're in luck." Dianamon said. "Looks like she's alone right now. This is our chance."
Koh waked over to her. "Psst! Barone!"
The girl looked at him. "Sayo, ID confirmed… Sayo… Comparing… Confirmed." She then looked away. "…Waiting for an order from-
Koh grabbed her shoulders and shook her. "Barone, can you hear me?! It's Koh of Light Fang, I'm here to help you!"
Barone gasped. "… Ugh… Aah… Sayo? … No, Koh?"
"It worked!" Dianamon said.
Koh nodded. "Yeah, it's me. Sayo sent me to save you guys. Hold on, I'll-
Barone shoved something into his hands. "…Take this…"
Koh looked at it. It was a chip of some kind. He inserted it into his Digivice. "What's this?"
"…MasterID…You can…enter… the Union Room…with this...But…be careful…Chief Julia is…"
"Barone?"
"…Aaahh!" The Tamer screamed in pain.
Koh grabbed her shoulders. "Barone! Hang on, stay with me!"
"… No… Stop… My head…"
"Barone!"
"Scan data… Check… check… Error…zero…Status… Wait…Waiting for an order from Chief Julia…"
Koh stepped back. "Barone…Thank you. I'll stop Chief Julia and save all of you, so just hang in there for a bit longer." He then hurried back towards Dark Office.
In the Union Room, Chief Julia was with ChaosGallantmon. Or what appeared to be him. The knight was bigger. And his body was an ominously glowing white and blue. "Julia… Give the order to begin attacking SunshineCITY…"
The chief shook her head. "No, it's not time yet."
"Why?! We gathered all the Night Crow Tamers we need at Center Bridge! What else do we need?"
"The protection program… installed on Center Bridge is blocking the delete command of the Chaos Block… Our attack team will not be able to enter SunshineCity at this rate…"
"…Is that Tamer interfering again?"
"You wouldn't be talking about me, would you?" Both ChaosGallantmonC and Chief Julia looked at the ramp to see Koh with Dianamon and his Digimon.
"So, it is you!" the knight glared.
"At least someone can see through this lame disguise." Koh muttered as he approached. He put Sayo's Digivice back in his pocket and put his own back over his neck.
"That proves there's something different about ChaosGallantmon and the Chief compared to the others that are being controlled." Dianamon added.
"What happened to you ChaosGallantmon?" Koh asked. "This looks way worse then when Ophanimon was being controlled."
"I have been enhanced by the power of Chrono's Core. I…am ChaosGallantmonC!"
"Blasted program!" Dianamon pointed at him. "How dare you do this to ChaosGallantmon, Chief Julia and everyone in Night Crow!"
"Dianamon…so Sayo has betrayed us." Chief Julia said.
"Sayo is the only one from Night Crow thinking clearly right now! You're both being used by Chrono!"
"Impressive you made it this far…Real Being…" ChaosGallantmonC said.
"Real Being"?" Koh asked.
"You Real Beings are an unnecessary existence in the Digital World…" Julia said.
ChaosGallantmonC pointed his lance at Koh. "So, you must be deleted! We Chorono Data are the ones that control the evolution of Digimon!"
"You're nothing more than a virus infesting this world!" Koh yelled. "What you're doing isn't evolution! It's more like terrorism!"
"You stole the free will of the Tamers and Digimon in this world!" Seraphimon said. "It's time you gave it back!"
"We're not letting you destroy the Digital World!" ShineGreymon added.
"The bonds we share with humans is the source of our strength!" Apollomon declared. "We don't need you're so called "evolution"!"
"I won't let everything Sayo and I believe in be corrupted by you any longer!" Dianamon yelled.
"We will stop you!" Koh said. "For Sayo! For Night Crow! For Light Fang! And for everyone in the Digital World!"
"You will perish trying boy." Julia coldly replied.
ChaosGallantmonC got into a fighting stance. "Be gone, Real Being!"
"That's just Chrono talking. Time to get it out of your heads! Let's go everyone!" Koh shouted as the four Digimon on his side charged.
If anyone is wondering what the color change was about it was me wanting to do something with Koh's Night Crow look in Digimon World Dusk, it's kinda nostalgic for me.
