It's the Gundam universe, more specifically it's the Universal Century timeline! More over he just found himself in Sydney!
You know the city that got obliterated along with most of Australia by having an entire space colony drop in it!
William panicked as he quickly ran to a remote area of the city where he quickly shifted through the list of vehicles looking for the right one.

'Ahh there we go' he exclaimed as he quickly summons a vehicle name "Winter Class Prawler"
Moments later a sleek looking ship materialises and William quickly goes up the ramp and to the ship.
"Greetings Creator I'm Blue Ball how may I serve you?"
A voice says as a holographic Blue Ball appears in front of him.
"Engage the active camouflage and go..." William stopped as he thinks about where to go and thinks his current situation clearly.
William calms down a bit before saying "to Europe... England"
"Roger that sir" Blue Ball replies before vanishing.
Needless to say during his brief pause BB (Blue Ball) being a ONI AI naturally already got into the information networks of Earth and got the general information of the world they're in.
While BB is curious as to where this place is and what happened to the UNSC but for now judging by his "Creator's" (who is also designated as the highest authority and should follow his orders) panicked expression, BB thought it's best to ask such questions for later.
Now some may ask why Europe? England?
That's because the Colony that fell to Earth broken into 3 pieces when entering Earth's atmosphere.
The top part landed in Sydney Australia wiping Australia off the map, the middle part landed on the Pacific Ocean causing tsunamis that devastated Asia and the last part landed on Canada.
So logically the safest place is the other side of the world and Europe is the prime candidate.
As for England?
He doesn't speak any other language besides English.
Travelling to the "safe" part of the world gave William time to calm down and think things over as he organised is thoughts.
' So Zeon just declared independence... now if I remember correctly Operation British (Colony drop) should be happen a week from now' William then sighs in relief as for a second there he thought he was in imminent danger. (Insert Ralph I'm in Danger meme)
"The week later imminently danger" aside William will now have to think of what to in the near future since he got transported to Gundam verse.
He spent awhile thinking what to do next after careful deliberation he decided takes things slowly, for now he needs an identity.
"Emm Blue Ball" William calls out
"Yes, Creator?" A blue holographic ball then materialises right in front of William.
"Do you have access to the the local data net?" William asked.
"Yes, creator I have infiltrated most of the information network of the "Earth Federation"" BB replies.
"Good, I want an identity..." William paused before adding
"A bank account... no make that multiple identities and bank accounts, be sure that the those bank accounts are filled with money"
"Yes , Creator as you command" BB replies before vanishing.
Suffice to say forging an identity is by no means an easy task and so does making bank accounts, but William is quite confident in an ONI AI's capabilities and not to mention once the Colony crashes the authorities would have much pressing matters to deal with.
Saying that he does should really convert these digital currency to physical objects soon as after a week Earth will be hit by an economic crisis once that colony destroys Australia, most of the coastal countries that borders the Pacific and South of the Canada.
A few moments later BB materialises again saying
"It's done Creator"
"Very good, now let's begin setting up a front on this world..." William said as he told BB to buy a few properties and began setting up a company.
The company is an arms manufacturing company called Ordinance Nova Industries or ONI for short.
Then William told BB to patent a bunch of weapons with included the M6A and M6B (both are used by civilians security forces in Halo) ,HMG-38 (an automatic weapon that was formerly used by the UNSC Marine Corps. But are now obsolete), MA3 Assault rifle (obsolete), MA2B (obsolete) and any technology they may contain.
Besides that he his company will also sell the UNSC's multi-purpose combat knife (it has a 20-centimeter (7.9 in) blade made of high carbon steel, an anti-flash, non-reflective titanium carbide coating, edge coated for corrosion resistance and is 43.3 centimeters (1 ft 5.0 in) long when sheathed. It is also balanced for throwing.)
Naturally if a company suddenly appears with all these cool shit overnight would draw a lot of attention but he told BB to set up his company one week later... when the colony falls, at that time everyone would be too busy to pay attention to a company suddenly appears overnight. They'll be more concerned about the an entire continent becoming a large crater.
Naturally he'll make it so that his company is from Australia so with the entire continent gone nobody could even begin to suspect his credentials.
Anticipating the massive disaster that's about to unfold he told BB to buy a lot of food, much to the dismay of the AI who doesn't know what's about to happen.
Obvious any businessman know to buy low and sell high. Before the disaster food would be dirt cheap but after it, it would be sky high.
Naturally he also told BB to buy a lot of (physical) gold as Earth is about to be hit by a huge economical depression after the colony falls. When there's uncertainty in the market the value of currency will fall and the value of precious metals will rise.
So after this disaster he can turn his suspicious ill gotten wealth to actual legitimate money.
William pat himself in the back as he feels that he's a genius for turning a disaster into an opportunity.

Any suggestions on best Waifus in UC Era? It doesn't have to be ones in the One year war, preferably side characters who die or disappear on the prime of their youth. He has stasis technology after all so he can time travel to a future Era if need be, but he won't be time Travelling to the Crap(Correct ) Century or Regild Century at most he'll be in Late Universal Century.
So far I can only think of a few of the hot chicks like Merida Cruz (Ple 12), Aina Sahalin, Christina Mackenzie, Chloe Croce.
Cima Garahua is kinda hot, but she seems to be the betraying type... then again she does have a tragic backstory tho.
A few of the important characters like Haman Karn, Sayla Mass, Roux Louka, Four Murasame or Emma Sheen are too integral for the story so they're out.
Nina Purpleton? She's a Bitch! Although there was that side character chick who took a shot for Kou...
