Disclaimer:

I don't own the characters: Lex or Scar (as well as other characters that will appear eventually). I really admire its creators and respect them; this fanfic is just for fun.

Thanks to Frida521! :-)

Hello! Hope you're okay! I'm sorry to make you wait for this chapter, but I'm about to graduate and school is getting harder, I'll try not to take another three months to update the next part!

I answered all your reviews until the end of the chapter :)

Four months later.

The day had finally arrived.

The team that Weyland summoned, along with Cris Nolvak, had managed what Lex believed was impossible: to catch a predator, a Bad Blood.

Cris never grew tired of saying that it was all thanks to her help and Lex couldn't help but feel so guilty hearing it. With the information she had given them, they could well start to write a book on Yautja culture.

Weyland ordered the specimen to be taken to one of his laboratories and the word soon spread throughout the building. The men were celebrating happily and certainly, Lex was as well.

She had always been against violence, but now she could only think of avenging her sister's death. There was nothing she wanted more than to stick a knife in the throat of the predator that had killed her, so she managed to slip away among the scientists to get more information about where they were holding the specimen.

She walked into a large room, already used to the confusing corridors of the facility. Having heard that they kept the predator in a separate laboratory, she decided to make up a deceptive story to convince the guards to let her in.

But it was not necessary.

When she finally got to the lab, the guards guarding the entrance just let her pass. Weyland was waiting for her inside.

Lex felt her heart beat very hard, a small part of her hadn't assimilate that maybe at last she would see her sister's murderer. She wished for the captured predator to be him.

The predator was sedated on a bed and Lex was deeply disappointed as soon as she could see him: that wasn't the killer she expected.

From a bulletproof window she could see inside the room that contained the Yautja, Carl was in the front row, looking closely at the predator.

"They used a sedative similar to the one elephant hunters use on them." Fred was there too, Lex was so shocked she didn't even notice the man.

"Then he's not going to wake up anytime soon."

"Its metabolism works fast though, so the motherfucker is going to wake up soon." Fred commented.

"Where did they find him?" Lex asked.

"Near the coast, it was easy."

"Easy? He didn't fight back?" Lex didn't think it was that easy to catch a Bad Blood, not after seeing them fight with her own eyes.

Even for Scar it was difficult to hold a fight against them.

"Not like we expected."

Carl touched the glass to get Lex's attention and motioned for her to enter the room, Fred stayed in his place.

Lex approached a narrow corridor where a small grate in the ceiling took care of decontaminating her body with a cold vapor.

She followed the protocol that Weyland had indicated her and took a surgical gown, a cap, a pair of gloves, a pair of shoe covers and a mask. Everything was blue, just like her usual state of mind.

When she was ready, she entered the room.

"This is where you share your valuable information with us." Weyland told Lex.

Lex looked at the shackles that held the predator Tracker's legs and arms attached to the stretcher.

His armor only covered his back and shoulders, his chest being crossed with an x-shaped leather ribbon and his legs covered with leather and metal, as if he had pants. His biomask had a scratch on the left side that covered his eyes, and the metallic folds of the material gave him the appearance of a wild boar with two large fangs curved upwards, coming out of the lower part of his jaws.

"About what? I already told you everything I know about them," Lex said, observing the predator's deep black dreadlocks.

"Not everything." Carl flashed her a smile that Lex was sure was fake. "You said they used a translator to understand us."

Carl was fascinated with the Yautja; while he was talking he kept running his hand over the bio-mask, appreciating the subtle details of his armor.

"I did." Lex said.

"How did they control that translator?" Carl asked.

"With their wrist device, they control everything with that thing: the translator, their plasmacaster and their camouflage mesh, too." Lex could see the immense joy that was projected in the gazes of all the scientists in that room, and she was sure that under their covered mouths, they smiled.

《What a treacherous shit…》Lex told herself. Scar had confided everything to her in their conversations. He told her about his weapons and armor and now she was using that knowledge against him. Or at least that was the way she saw things.

"Plasmacaster?" A woman asked.

"That's what they call the gun they carry on their shoulder." Lex replied.

"Tell us about the camouflage mesh, do you know how it works?" Carl questioned.

"I only know that it allows them to conserve heat and that it acts like a circuit they program with their wrist device," Lex shrugged. Tracker's grid mesh was much thinner than Scar's and it wasn't as visible.

The woman made quick notes in a notebook. "Is the translator in the mask?"

Lex was about to reply, but she was distracted by one of the men recklessly touching the predator's wrist device. "Stop!" Lex yelled. "They use that thing like a bomb, be careful with it if you don't want to disappear."

The man quickly retired his hands and backed away pathetically. Carl laughed, he finally knew what had caused the mysterious disappearance of evidence at Point Hope. "Thank you, I'll talk to you later, Miss Lex. You're dismissed." Carl said.

Lex took one final look at the predator, he had a metal spear attached to his waist, and something about it seemed familiar, the image of the object nagging faintly at her mind. She had the feeling of having seen it before or at least a piece of it.

Her eyes widened as she realized her discovery. "God, he has a tracker." Lex breathed. She recognized the tip with the black box and the flashing red light that she had taken from Lake, months ago.

The light in the room flickered a few times until the room was submerged in complete darkness.

Lex tried to get used her sight to the lack of light while the commotion of the others rose quickly. Something wasn't entirely right, she felt as if something was going to go wrong at any moment.

And her suspicions were confirmed shortly after.

A fierce roar rose above the faint human voices, causing instant silence.

The predator had woken up.

"HELP!" A woman screamed. Lex felt some strong shoves caused by the scientists who began to run in terror in all directions, eager to find the exit. Lex ran without knowing very well where to and reached the glass of the window, hitting it in a desperate and futile attempt to smash it.

Several bursts of blue light crossed the room, making the predator visible for a split second and Lex paled. The shackles weren't strong enough to hold him back, the sedative had failed miserably.

The lights suddenly returned and five of the eight scientists were already dead in the ground, their skulls shattered by the shots of the plasmacaster.

Lex looked horrified at the scene, she felt as if everything was repeating itself. She didn't want to see any more blood spilled, she didn't want to flee anymore.

But she had to if she wanted to live.

Carl froze very close to the predator's stretcher and against all common sense, Lex ran up to him while the other three scientists left the room.

"MOVE!" Lex yelled at him, pulling him in with her and they both ran to the exit. "Run!" Lex yelled at Fred. The man looked at the mess inside the room for a moment and started running along with Lex and Carl.

The predator was coming after them.

And the damn light went away once again.

"Turn on the emergency generator!" Carl exclaimed as he spoke on his phone.

A couple of explosions echoed through the building, they could feel the floor rocking under their feet.

Lex felt like as if she was going to vomit, pass out, die or do all of them at once.

"Fucking security," Fred said, pulling out the pistol that hung from his belt holster and waiting.

The emergency generator finally got the lamps working again and Lex and Carl started running, but she returned for Fred when she saw that he had stopped following them. She felt surrounded by idiots.

"What the hell are you doing!? Your gun is not going to do him any harm!" Lex exclaimed angrily, Carl didn't stop and was soon lost from sight. He kept running fast, as if he were an Olympic runner.

Lex and Fred continued together, she remembered well the way to her nephews, she couldn't think of anything but them and her eyes flooded with tears just imagining something happening to them.

She couldn't bear to lose them too.

The light from the entire building took on an irritating bluish hue and an annoying alarm, similar to the siren of a patrol, began to resonate throughout the place.

"They activated the emergency sealing!" Fred exclaimed, his voice barely audible in the cacophony of noise.

"What's that!?" Lex yelled.

"They sealed the exits so that nothing and no one can get out, the rooms are also closed!

Lex stopped her running, that meant she couldn't get into the room with Emma and Daniel.

They had to find Weyland.

Lex and Fred retraced their steps, he was holding his gun firmly in his hands and she thought about telling him that it would be useless, but quickly dismissed the idea

It was best to stay steady, and if that flimsy gun gave Fred security, that was fine by her.

The sound of the alarm stopped and she got rid of the safety equipment that she used in the laboratory, leaving only her clothes. She needed to feel free and comfortable to continue running if necessary.

"They're here!" Eloise yelled, she and Hicks came out of a hall, Hicks's face was flushed and a line of sweat dripped down his temple, Eloise had a wound on her shoulder.

Lex and Fred advanced to them "The other two predators entered the building." Hicks said with an agitated voice.

"How the hell did that happen?" Fred asked.

"The predator they captured had a tracker. It was a trap." Lex said.

"It wasn't dead? God, why didn't they kill him?" Hicks asked.

"Weyland's interested in capturing one alive," Fred explained.

The four of them advanced together, Eloise telling them that the tallest predator had blown up the main entrance, injuring some people, herself included.

Lex clenched her fists, Berserker was here and it was just her, an injured girl, Hicks and that idiot Fred.

Eloise led them to an elevator and they reached a place called the 'basement', a sign over the door at the end of the hall read 'Restricted area'. It was Weyland's private laboratory, where only some privileged scientists could enter.

Carl could see from his security cameras that they were approaching and went ahead to open the door for them before Eloise could knock.

"Why did you bring them?" Carl walked over to the girl, his piercing eyes wanting to make her disappear.

"They told me they needed to speak to you and due to the circumstances—"

"Well, just shut up and stay like that." Weyland snapped without any sort of empathy in his voice.

"The girl is hurt and you just ask her to shut up? What kind of person are you?" Lex questioned. She took Eloise by the arm and stood in front of her.

"He's an asshole." Hicks said, pointing at the man accusingly "We're just replaceable resources for him."

Weyland sighed, he was being cornered and decided to modulate his voice, it wasn't convenient for him to have them against him, especially not now "I know this looks much worse than it seems—"

"It's crazy out there, how can you be so calm? Your scientists are dead! That thing blew their heads off!" Fred was very outraged, Carl seemed to minimize the severity of what was happening in front of their eyes.

"Yes, it's quite unfortunate... but in all missions have losses" Carl excused himself. Hicks didn't hold back and grabbed the man by the collars of his shirt.

"I don't care about your excuses! There are dead people, don't you understand? Just disable the security so we can get out of here!" Hicks yelled, releasing Weyland.

"Calm down, I'm not your enemy. Everything has an explanation." Weyland claimed.

"And what is it? What's the point of locking us all up as animals?" Fred complained.

"My men are working on the evacuation of the building and the doors are closed so that the beasts cannot pass, it's a way to keep everyone safe" Weyland adjusted his shirt.

"I saw a couple of guards with some simple low-caliber pistols, why the hell aren't they using more powerful weapons? You are rich! Don't you have money for machine guns, bombs or tanks?" Hicks exclaimed, he was so mad he was practically shouting his words.

"I don't want to kill the predators," Weyland shrugged, as if it wasn't obvious to the others.

"Accept it, the plan failed. What do you need to see to make you stop fooling around?" said Lex.

"I just have more important things to think about now." Weyland let them into the lab.

The area was large, but half the roof had collapsed from the explosions of the predators.

"It can't be," Hicks said, recognizing the cylinder-shaped glass urn that had held the royal face hugger inside and was now lying on the floor, broken.

"Yes, the impregnator came loose." Weyland said.

RKF22 Hello! Thank you! Your comments always motivate me to continue :-) (Sorry it took me so much to write the continuation, I'll try to update more often)

predator1701 Hello again! Thank you very much for reading on. Hahaha I have always imagined Wolf as someone very stubborn, it's difficult for him to accept other people's opinions when -according to him- they aren't well founded: p Weyland is obsessed with predators, in this chapter you can see that better and he won't hesitate to risk others' lives.

Yes, Lex couldn't act in other way, she's very sad about everything that's happening and the people around her -especially Fred- don't make her feel any better.

They're completely different cultures, Lex feels between a rock and a hard place, sadly.

Honestly, Wolf doesn't want Scar to be right (it'll be a very strong blow to his pride haha).

I imagine Winter as a quiet guy next to Wolf haha, it'd be funny to see them together.

Yes, in conclusion, Wolf is scary.

I also hope that you are well and I'm sorry for the delay in writing, I hope that this chapter is also to your liking, it's always great to read your comments! THANK YOU.

NeverNeverLady HI! You're right, Scar will have his chance, although at the moment things are really complicated, hahaha I think everyone thinks that about Fred (even I've thought about it) thank you very much for reading, I hope you like this chapter (I'm sorry it took me forever to update :p)
