While Jazz remained shocked and wondered who the little girl was, and how Danny knew her, Danny smiled, picked his cousin up, and gave her a big hug. "Danielle, what in the world are you doing here? You little trouble maker!" Danny smiled, ruffling her hair a bit.
"Well, I was in town and thought I'd stop by to see my favorite cousin." Danielle smirked.
"That's sweet of you, but how about calling first?" Danny smirked before hugging her again, and then noticing Jazz's glare.
"Danny, who is this girl again?" Jazz asked, to which Dani gulped.
"Don't worry, we can trust her." Danny smiled reassuringly. "Trust trust her."
"If you say so." Danielle shrugged as Danny set her down.
"Jazz, this is Dani Phantom-that's with an I. Dani, this is my sister, Jazz." Danny introduced as Danielle hid behind Danny's back, a little. "Sorry, this is the first time she met someone from our family formally."
"Hi, nice to meet you Dani." Jazz smiled, making girl clone smile back. "When did you get here?"
"Yesterday." Dani answered sheepishly.
"Wait, you're the one who stole my Hidden Figures book?" Danny asked with an arched eyebrow. Danielle looked down before giving her cousin the stolen book.
"I'm sorry. I was wanting something to read before I slept." Danielle said, feeling guilty.
"It's OK. It's a good read anyway." Danny smiled, rustling her hair. "Although I should have expected this, coming from my half ghost cousin."
"Wait! Half ghost?!" Jazz asked to which Dani stepped back a bit.
"It's OK. You can trust trust her, remember?" Danny smiled. Danielle nodded before going ghost. Jazz was amazed that there was a female version of Danny and a younger one too. "Runs in the family, wouldn't you say?"
"I'll say." Jazz smiled before realizing something. "So you were the one who disabled the motion detector, and stole my hair brush, and...my stuffed animals!"
"Danielle?" Danny scolded. Dani then looked down again and gave Jazz her bear back.
"I was just feeling lonely when I got here. I just wanted someone to sleep with." Danielle said, still guilty. Jazz's tone softened a bit when she knelt down to meet Dani's level.
"It's cool. I know how it feels. Besides, I'm kind of getting old for stuffed animals anyway." Jazz smiled. "You can have him while you're here." Dani smiled as Jazz gave her the bear and she transformed back to her human self. "How long are you gonna be in town anyway?"
"Well?" Danny asked with a smile.
"Just a few days. I head out after that." Danielle answered.
"Where?" Jazz asked, to which Dani lowered her head, making Jazz feel concerned. "You don't have a home?"
"Not really. I just travel wherever the wind takes me." Dani shrugged. "Anyway, I don't wanna be a bother anymore. I better go." Dani turned to leave before Danny placed an arm on her shoulder.
"Hey. Don't talk like that." Danny assured his clone/cousin. "You're not a bother."
"Yeah, everyone makes mistakes once in awhile." Jazz smiled. "Why don't you stay with us for awhile? Our folks are gone for the week. You can stay in my room."
"Really?" Dani's eyes lit up in happiness.
"Sure." Jazz smiled before studying Danielle's clothes and noticing how dirty she was. "You look a little dirty. How about a give you a nice warm bath and I'll give you something from my old stuff to wear? I should have something your size."
Danielle looked at Danny, still unsure. "Hey, I'm not big on hygiene either, but Jazz knows her stuff." Danny smirked.
"Oh sure, coming from the boy who once tried to drown me in a mud puddle when I tried to give him a bath when he was six." Jazz smirked back to which Dani giggled.
"I would have loved to see that." Dani smiled.
"Sit tight. I'll get the bath ready for you, cousin." Jazz smiled and winked as she and Danny went to prepare the bath, leaving Danielle alone in Danny's bedroom.
As Jazz and Danny prepared the bath, Danny told the story about Danielle being a clone that Vlad created in order to destroy Danny. "So, Vlad created Danielle in order to create a clone of you that could destroy you?" Jazz asked as she added the bubbles.
"Yeah, then she turned against Plasmius when she found out he was using her." Danny smirked. "Then we kicked ecto butt. It was so sweet to have a partner!"
"I'll say." Jazz smirked. "Is she a better fighter than you?"
"No." Danny scoffed. "Nothing beats the OG. But wait till you see her in action. But anyway, the battle with Vlad weakened her, and then Valarie kidnapped her and brought her to him so he could melt her. He almost succeeded, but luckily I was able to save her. Then, she kicked ecto butt. It was so sweet!"
Jazz smiled at that before realizing something. "So, she's all alone?" she asked.
"I guess." Danny shrugged.
"Why didn't you tell me about her?" Jazz asked. "No, don't tell me. I get it." She then smiled. "You know, I always wondered what it would be like to have a little sister." Danny stared at her, hoping she was joking. "What I'm saying is, she is a kid out there, all alone. She needs a home, a warm bed, a family." Danny shrugged, knowing Jazz had a point. "Maybe she should stop being your clone, and start being our cousin for real. Maybe even our little sister. Of course we need to get mom and dad on board when they get home next week."
"Jazz, don't get any ideas." Danny warned.
"Danny! They can adopt her! It's that simple!" Jazz laughed a little.
"Yeah, but how will dad react once he finds out that Vlad once tried to clone me?!" Danny asked. "You know he still grumbles about his former friend, feeling incredibly guilty that he should have thought he was evil. He even cursed his name in his sleep."
"Relax, little brother." Jazz chuckled. "Vlad is likely dead anyway. What are the chances he'll come back and snatch her to try to destroy us anyway?"
"It's not just that. Skulker, Walker, the Guys in White. They all want me dead." Danny pointed out. "Especially the Guys in White after their business went bankrupt after the Disasteriod. How am I gonna protect my cousin if I still have a target on my back?"
"You're thinking way too much." Jazz laughed to which Danny frowned. "She is half ghost. If she has the same powers as you do, I think she can handle herself."
Before Danny could reply, Danny's ghost breath went off. "Oh no! Danielle!" Danny gasped as he and Jazz raced upstairs to save Dani from whatever ghostly threat is attacking her. But when they reached Danny's room, what they saw surprised them both: Danielle, back in her ghost form, was giving the Box Ghost a good whooping with her strength and ecto rays. Danny and Jazz smirked at Danielle's fighting skills.
"Who dares to attack me, the Box Ghost?!" the ghost with a ridiculous name asked to which his answer was met with another ecto ray.
"Dani Phantom." Danielle smirked.
"You're not Dani! Danny Phantom's a boy." the Box Ghost pointed out.
"I know. I'm Dani Phantom-with an I." Danielle said. "I probably need to fix that mistake. Now prepare to get your butt kicked!"
"Don't be so sure, ghost girl! Because you're bound to meet your doom at the hands of these packages from Amazon, ran by the amazing and charismatic CEO, Jeff Bezos!" Box Ghost smirked before launching a bunch of contents from tons of Amazon packages at Danielle, but luckily she turned intangible, shocking the Box Ghost. Danielle smirked before launching the products back at him, causing him to get pummeled.
"Wow, our cousin is really handling herself." Jazz smirked. "She is definitely a better fighter than you."
"We'll see about that." Danny smirked. "I'm going ghost!" Danny then turned into his ghost form as Danielle grabbed the Box Ghost, who was now trembling with fear.
"Looks like it's time to return this unwanted package to sender." Dani smirked.
"Not so fast." Danny smirked as he floated towards his ghost cousin. "Mind if I take this one?"
"Sure Danny." Danielle giggled before Danny stuffed the Box Ghost into an empty Amazon package and threw him out the window. "Wow, that was way too easy. But what kind of name is Box Ghost anyway?"
"It's a long story." Danny smiled as they both turned back to their human forms.
"OK, enough ghost fighting chit chat. It's time for your bath." Jazz smiled as she picked up Danielle, who at first was scared, smiled as she settled in her arms. Jazz smiled to herself as she carried Dani to the bathroom, and Danny smiled, thinking there could be a place for Dani in the Fenton family.
