When Blaze woke up, he found the forest back to normal, with the rocks disintegrating and his friends and family slowly waking up from their deaths.

"AJ... Guys! Sparkle! Mom! Dad!"

"BLAZE!" they all rushed out and embraced the red truck.

"Oh, my baby... we were so worried," Phoenix sighed. "Are you okay?"

"I'm okay," Blaze said with a smile. "I'm just glad you are all okay,"

"Where's Zhan Tiri?" Darington asked, looking around in fear.

"She's gone... I think," Blaze assured him.

"Thank goodness for that," Roarian sighed in relief.

"What about Crusher???" Pickle questioned, looking around as he failed to find the dark blue truck.

"I... don't know. Everyone, spread out!"

The group all searched the whole forest for the dark blue truck, but neither of them managed to find him. When Blaze headed back to where they defeated Zhan Tiri, he tensed up at the unmoving body of his rival laying by the debris.

"Oh no... nononono!!" He ran over to dark blue truck and tried to wake him up. "Crusher! Crusher, please don't do this!"

But no response came from the other.

"Guys! He's here, but it doesn't look good!"

"CRUSHER!" Pickle zoomed over to his best friend's side. "WHAT HAPPENED?!"

"I…" Blaze suddenly froze as he remembered something.

Crusher had been using the Moonstone to stop Zhan Tiri.

He had been there, RIGHT THERE, when the stones clashed.

He had bee standing close.

TOO close.

"He was standing too close when the stones clashed... it must have knocked him out!"

"That… is a light way to put it, my friend," Roarian grimaced, placing a tire on his shoulder. "The previous Moonstone wielder had done the same… but it was not temporary,"

"What do you mean?" Blaze glanced up at the flying lion, confused.

"Blaze…" Roarian took a deep breath in hesitance before sighing. "He's gone. If a blast that powerful took out the demoness Zhan Tiri… we can only imagine what it did to Crusher,"

"No... NO!!" Blaze shook his head, not accepting the truth. "That… That can't be! Roarian, please tell me that it isn't true! PLEASE!"

"I'm sorry, Blaze," was all the flying lion said as his ears pinned, and his head lowered.

"NO!" Pickle was crying endless tears as he hugged the other's body.

"I'm so sorry, Pickle," Blaze said, his own tears rolling down his cheeks.

The green truck couldn't look up at him as he cradled Crusher's body into his tires. The others all looked down, neither of them knowing what to do or to say.

Crusher was gone.

Blaze was ready to break down, to let the guilt fall on him more than it already did when a bright glow caught his eye from afar. He turned to it and found the Moonstone and the Sunstone hovering together. He narrowed his eyes at them before an idea dawned upon him.

Maybe… he could use them.

To save Crusher.

To bring him back to life.

Slowly, he approached the stones. Roarian looked up to see what he was doing and was confused.

"W-What are you doing, Blaze?"

"I am NOT giving up on Crusher just yet!" Blaze hissed, reaching out for the Sunstone.

Finally, he managed to grab the Sunstone, his whole body erupting in a yellow glow. The others gasped.

"Blaze, be careful!" Sparkle cried out.

"I will," Blaze nodded as his eyes glowed gold before taking out the Sunstone Scroll that he had taken back earlier from the dark blue truck.

"Flower, gleam and glow

Let your power shine

Make the clock reverse

Bring back what once was mine

"Heal what has been hurt

Change the Fate's design

Save what has been lost

Bring back what once was mine…

"What once was mine…"

As he spoke the incantation, a burst of golden magic spread out all around him. The group gasped as the burst reached them. The magic had managed to reach Crusher as well, who suddenly groaned as he slowly opened his eyes.

"Wha... what happened?"

"CRUSHER!" Pickle locked the other in a tighter embrace. "YOU'RE ALIVE!"

"Y-Yeah, I'm alive…" Crusher hissed, wincing in pain a little. "Wait, what? What happened? What do you mean 'I'm alive?' Did I… Did I die…?"

"Yeah! And Blaze brought you back!" AJ nodded.

"He… did?" Crusher turned to the red truck in surprise.

Blaze opened his eyes, which glowed pure gold as he smiled at the dark blue truck. He was about to join them when he found his tire stuck to the Sunstone.

"Hey... what's going on?"

"What's happening, Roarian??" Darington asked the flying lion.

"I had told you all that the Sunstone is powerful and quite unpredictable," Roarian sighed.

Crusher frowned and drove over to his rival, reaching out him in an attempt to pry him off. Suddenly, the Moonstone pulled on him, causing him to get stuck as well.

"What the--?"

Crusher tried to pry himself free, his eyes glowing bright blue, but neither of the trucks could. Roarian flew over to them, his own Sunstone glowing as he inspected the problem carefully.

"Hmm…"

Both trucks glanced at him with concern.

"What? Is it bad?" AJ asked.

"It seems that the stones had formed a bond with each of you," Roarian replied.

"A bond?" Blaze always confused.

"Yes," Roarian nodded. "Crusher, did you find the Moonstone by chance?"

"Yeah. Me and Pickle found it on a drive home," Crusher said with a nod. "What does that have to do with anything?"

"The Moonstone and the Sunstone are opposites," Roarian explained. "Thus the wielders they correspond to are also opposites. One is the sun, fiery, brave yet caring while the other is the moon, calm, quiet yet deadly. Despite their differences, they still work together to keep the world at balance… just like how you two put aside your rivalry and worked together to defeat Zhan Tiri. The stones sensed it all,"

"So, what does it mean for them?" Watts asked.

"It means they decide the stones' faith," Roarian turned to them. "It is up to you both to decide whether to keep it and enhance it's power to keep the world from other demons like Zhan Tiri or release it back to where it came,"

Blaze looked at Crusher, but the dark truck looked really unsure.

"I... I don't know what to choose. On one hand, it would be cool to have powers, but I don't wanna get corrupted again... it cost me everything..."

"Then maybe this time, it won't," Blaze smiled. "You got corrupted because of Zhan Tiri. Now, we can both harness the powers to protect the world from beings LIKE Zhan Tiri," He reached his other tire towards him. "This time, you won't be alone,"

"I…" Crusher gulped but nodded and returned the smile. "I guess… I guess you're right,"

He held the other's tire, and the stones gave a glow before placing themselves into each truck. The duo grimaced and gasped as they felt the stones enter them. The group gasped as they began to glow.

"Is... this supposed to happen?" AJ asked.

"Yes," Roarian nodded.

"Woah…" Blaze glanced down at himself, his body glowing sun marks while Crusher's glowed crescent moon marks.

"I guess that means we're the new wielders, huh?" Crusher asked.

"Looks like it," Blaze nodded in agreement.

"Well, I'm just glad you're okay, Crusher," Pickle sighed in relief as he hugged Crusher again. "You had me worried!"

"So... we're all friends again?" Crusher asked.

"Assuming the mess back at Axle City's fixed…" Starla chuckled.

"Of course we are!" Darington nodded.

"Let's… just not let another demon ruin it again," Stripes joked.

"Phew... thanks, guys," Crusher smiled then he turned to his rival. "And... Blaze? Are WE good?"

"We're good," Blaze smiled and nodded, patting the other's shoulder. "Just… no more cheats or anything like… like THAT again,"

Crusher frowned. "Wait, seriously? You… You're gonna forgive me that easily…?"

"Of course. My parents raised me and my sister to never hold a grudge."

"Even after… the betrayal at the cave…?" Crusher looked down in shame.

"Remember, Zhan Tiri is the one to blame for all of this. Not you."

"Still," Crusher sighed. "She influenced me, but I… I chose to do it. It's still my fault,"

"No, Crusher, it's not," Blaze shook his head. "If anything, it's my fault,"

"Yours? How?"

"Your parents," Crusher grimaced at the reminder. "The incident at the cottage… it's all my fault,"

"When... they went to see you on your birthday...?"

Blaze nodded. "I've felt terrible about it, and since you've never had much of a family growing up, I wanna make it up to you."

"You… do?" Crusher's eyes lit up. "How…?"

"Mom and Dad, I have an idea, but I'll need your approval."

"What is it, Blaze?" Phoenix asked as she and Flame drove closer to their son.

"Well... what if...?" Blaze whispered his idea to his parents, and their eyes were filled with such love, even Crusher could see it.

"Um…" Crusher fiddled with his tires, the look in their eyes giving him a strange feeling in his stomach.

"Crusher, honey..." Phoenix started, holding his tire affectionately. "Blaze had an amazing idea, and... how would you like to become a member of our family?"

"I…" Crusher's eyes widened in surprise, caught off-guard by the offer as his eyes filled with tears. "You… I… m-me…? You… You would take me in…?"

"Of course," Flame agreed. "We know now that Calvin and Krisha weren't the parents you needed as a child. So... we wanna take the opportunity and take you in. Show you the love you deserve."

Crusher was crying like a waterfall by then. He began to break down.

"Um... is this a good sort of crying...?" Sparkle asked, it being hard to tell.

"I'm not sure…" Blaze approached the other. "Crusher, are you okay?"

"I… I'm fine, just…" Crusher sniffles his tears. "I… I never thought anyone… anyone would want to take me in… everyone else said that I was a nobody and that… and that no one would ever love me…"

"We do," Pickle said, taking his tire. "And if Blaze and his family wanna take you in, they must love you too."

Crusher smiled at the green truck, a smile that the group would rarely see on his face before turning to Blaze. Without a warning, he gave the red truck a big hug.

"Thank you, Blaze,"

"No problem... bro." Blaze grinned.

Crusher chuckled. "I'll have to get used to that, but it'll be worth it."

"Roarian?" AJ asked with a smile. "I think we're all ready to head home."

"And home, you shall be," Roarian released his flying magic, and he led the group out of the Great Forest.

They soon made it back to Axle City.

"Finally back!" Darington cheered.

"And it looks like takin' down Zhan Tiri destroyed all the rocks around the city," Starla observed with a chuckle as they all landed on the ground.

"Thanks for everything, Roarian," Sparkle said.

"You're welcome, friends!" Roarian gave a smile, fluttering up. "I must leave now. Farewell!"

"Bye, Roarian! Thank you!"

With that, the flying lion left. Crusher took a deep breath as he glanced around the place.

The rocks may have been gone, but there were still damage to the city.

"I guess we better start cleaning up," he said, picking up a broom.

"Good idea," Pickle grinned and grabbed a broom enthusiastically. "Yay!"

"This is gonna take forever," Crusher sighed.

"Well... wanna use Blazing Speed as a family and clean it up faster?" Blaze asked with a grin.

Crusher's eyes lit up before nodding eagerly.

"Alright!"

The Blaze Family opened up their boosters, and the speed reached up to Crusher, who lit up in blue before they all dashed off to clean up the mess.

"LET'S BLAAAZE!"

They zoomed all over the city, all five of them with their brooms as they cleaned up. All the buildings were soon repaired, and any leftover debris was cleaned up as they returned to the others in a flash.

"Done!"

"That was AMAZING!" Pickle flipped.

"Now we can rest up for the race tomorrow!" Stripes said.

"Some rest… sounds… nice…" Crusher yawned, rubbing his eyes.

"Come on, Crush," Blaze sighed. "You can stay with us tonight."

"Thanks… brother," Crusher spoke with some hesitance but also with a smile.

"No problem," Blaze let out a chuckle as he and the family led the dark blue truck to their home.

That night, Crusher had gotten the best sleep in his life. A new family, a new beginning...

He couldn't have asked for a better ending.
